The Downtown Lunch Guide

"When you need to impress someone with excellent dumplings, take them to Dough Zone. It’s a small Seattle-based chain that’s serious about xiao long bao, buns, and noodles, and they also plate their pickled cucumbers to look like a slinky. You can’t go wrong with any of the dumplings here, but the best are the Q bao pork buns. Five come with an order, so it’s inevitable that there’ll be a fight over the last one." - aimee rizzo

Where to Eat While Shopping in Seattle During the Holidays - Eater Seattle

"Dough Zone’s soup dumpling gives the legendary Din Tai Fung option a run for its money, but the fried version is a true highlight here, too. The sheng jian bao are crispy, but still juicy. It’s easy to make a meal of the reasonably priced dumplings and noodles at this dough specialist, which continues to expand with this Downtown location, which is usually less packed than DTF’s Pacific Place outpost (but still pretty packed)." - Gabe Guarente

PLEASE GO HERE!!! This place was the best food we’ve had in the city. Wait at 6:40ish was less than 10 minutes despite the place being super busy. You mark what you want on the slip of paper that staff then comes and checks over with you for allergens. We were slightly worried we had ordered too much, but the portions were sized perfectly! Not the usual American sizing where we have gotten used to way too much food for one meal. Split the scallion pancakes, Yibin noodles, veggie wontons, and chicken dumplings between two. WOW. Everything was incredible, but a special shoutout to the noodles for the incredible flavors in the sauce. We quite literally used the leftover sauce for our other foods. The wontons and dumplings were so juicy as well! Fun to have pancakes that were flakier than most. Insane plating and overall time. Wow. Want to go back already.

We were a large group that had just finished the dragon boat race, so we were so hungry and tired, and basically ordered most of the items on the menu! House Specials: We had Green Onion Pancake, Spicy Beef Pancake Roll, Pan-Fried Chive Dumplings, Braised Pig Ears, and Spicy Beef Shank. The green onion pancake was not greasy, but flavor-wise, it tasted a bit plain. The pan-fried chive dumplings tasted good, but their fried egg mixed with chives was mushy, which made the texture slightly off. The pig ear and beef shank were both really good. I would recommend these two as appetizers. Soup dumplings: We got pork XLB, pork & crab meat XLB, and chicken XLB, all of them were tasty, I do wish they had more soup inside though. Dumplings: We had chicken, pork & shrimp potstickers, and chicken steamed dumplings. The potstickers were alright, I would say the steamed dumplings tasted just ok. Wontons: The pork wontons in chili sauce, which taste really good with a nice spicy kick! And we had sweet and sour cucumber as the palate cleanser to freshen up our palate. Noodles: We tried hot & sour glass noodles, dan dan noodles, green onion soy sauce noodles, yibin noodles, and spicy mala noodles. I would recommend Yibin noodles, which are flavorful and spicy. The dan dan noodles tasted great too!

We tried several dishes at Dough Zone, and I have to say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The Sweet & Sour Cucumber was hands down my favorite—crunchy, fresh, and the perfect way to start the meal. The Vegetable Potstickers were okay, not the standout of the evening but still decent. The Pan Fried Pork Buns were perfectly steamed and had a great balance of flavor. I also loved the Green Onion Pancake—crispy, flaky, and delicious. We ended our dinner with the Dan Dan Noodles, which were absolutely perfect—warm, comforting, and flavorful, tying the whole experience together beautifully. Despite the restaurant being jam-packed due to an event at the convention center, the food was impressively fresh and flavorful. The service was fast, the staff was polite and attentive, and the prices were super reasonable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Google
I enjoyed the experience. but service does lack. every table has soy, vinegar, and chili sauce. we ordered veggie steamed dumplings, and pork and shrimp dumplings. I also order flavored noodles with cucumber and carrots on top. and banana Naan. wasn't bad, but they should offer more sauces for dumplings. both sets of dumplings don't have too m8ch flavor, and soy did the job for me, but I would have liked a little more variety. veggies were fresh. my wife ordered the beef noolemsoup. we did enjoy the food, but it didn't rise to anything above average. It's a small space, and they often ask folks if they are willing to share a table with people you don't know. I heard them ask 3 different couples while in line. so no real private conversation. the banana Naan is not really the Indian term you come to know. it's more like banana pancakes you dip in whip cream.

Google
I had a very good time at Dough Zone! It’s very popular, so I waited about 20 minutes for a table (this was around 7 PM on a weeknight). The staff was attentive and answered my questions. The food was fantastic! So good and quite unique. I can’t say enough about it. The restaurant is well-appointed and is a great place to relax. It’s also located in a high-traffic entertainment area, just steps from the Paramount Theater. A very enjoyable and memorable experience—I highly recommend it!

Google
The restaurant was about a 3-minute walk from our hotel. We saw good ratings, so we decided to have dinner here. The dan dan noodles were too salty, but had a good texture. The pan-fried pork buns had an excellent taste. The pork and shrimp potstickers were okay, but a little too salty. The atmosphere was good with lovely decor. The staff members were friendly. The bill was okay as expected, but the portion was too small. I would recommend this place for a dating couple.

Google
A classic Seattle meal. I’ve been to both this location and international district, they are consistently and delicious every time. When we walked in it was super busy (a convention happening across the street) we were told it would be about 10 minutes before we were seated but it was maybe 5. Our food came quickly, staff were friendly and helpful. Even talked us into dessert! All of their dumplings are amazing but the soup dumplings (served in a steamer basket) are definitely a favorite. The selection of teas is also worth a try, they are yummy and satisfying with or without a big meal.

Google
The food is amazing! We're only visiting Seattle for 3 days, but ended up coming back twice. The soup dumplings and the pork buns were my friends' favorite, and I loved having the vegetarian steamed dumplings with the chili crisp oil!

Yelp
Very similar to Din Tai Fung and just as good. Some say it's better but hard for me to tell unless I did a back to back eating. Nice clean restaurant and service is professional. Dishes come out quickly and fresh/hot. Everything was very good. My only complaint would be that the Dan Dan noodles are a very small portion for the cost. It's almost like an individual size and not the best for sharing with a group of 3 or more. All the dumplings we got were flavorful and fresh. Good place if you're in the mood for dumplings and Asian food.

Yelp
Reasonably-priced. Love the xiao long bao, cold noodles, and the spicy wontons in chili oil. Other dumplings didn't particularly stand out. We ordered the pretty sweet and sour cucumber for a vegetable but were wondering why they don't have string beans. Expect a wait but it moves fairly quickly. Knocking off a few stars for the poor service. Slow and not friendly.

Yelp
Came here during a recent trip to Seattle and everything was delicious. We enjoyed both steamed and fried dumplings, onion pancakes, and Dan Dan noodles. I would've liked a larger portion for the Dan Dan noodles, but the flavor was good. I would definitely come back here for dumplings - and we're particular about dumplings. Ordering and service was great. The place is really big and decorated well. There's even a little bar area for solo eaters to enjoy their meal. Next trip to Seattle, I'm coming back.

Yelp
The ambiance, music, and staff are all great! We got seated right away and ordering was easy. You use a QR code and mark your order on paper. Here's what we ordered: - Dan Dan Noodles (very flavorful) - Spicy (Ma La) Noodles (strong Szechuan taste) - Zha Jiang Mian (not a lot of flavor) - Yibin Noodles (salty) - Pork Xiao Long Bao (tasty soup dumplings) - Vegetable Potstickers (soggy) - Chicken & Vegetable Wontons in Hot & Sour Sauce (yummy) - Steamed Pork Buns (not a lot of filling but the bun was soft) - Sweet & Sour Cucumber (delicious) - Green Onion Pancake (crispy and not oily. My favorite!) - Romaine Lettuce Salad with Sesame Dressing (too much dressing. Very strong sesame flavor) - Oolong tea (hit the spot!) Overall we enjoyed our lunch but were expecting more from the main dishes.

Yelp
I'm still a DTF stan, but I'm not a fan of DTF's crazy wait. Dough Zone pretty much gets the cravings settled for zero wait almost. Being just down the block makes any 30+ min wait at DTF illogical, just WALK over to Dough Zone. There are definitely more noodle choices at Dough Zone. XLB is alright unless you were hoping for the truffle XLB, then DZ can't help you there. My group of 3 came at around 8pm on a Sunday, not much of a wait for a late weekend meal. Service was pretty quick and attentive. They were nice enough to not kick us out while they were wrapping up for the day. Ordered the minced chicken noodle, crab XLB, and some wonton in chili oil. None of the XLB broke while I picked them up with chopsticks, the wrapper was thin enough but not mushy. Not much crab taste though, I could have done regular pork ones and feel the same. Noodles were more interesting, the pickled veggie made it more appetizing. Nothing spectacular in all aspects, but I had a decent casual meal here because my first choice would make me very hangry.

Yelp
We got here at 6 on a Monday and we were seated very quickly for a group of 3, when we left though there was a line to get seated. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and they all came out really fast. It ended up being about 50 dollars for all 3 of us which wasn't bad. Half of the drink menu was out I guess which was disappointing. The spot is nice and has big windows. The dan dan noodles are really great and was my fav thing we got there, the chili oil wontons are my second.

Yelp
Stopped here while I was in Seattle for the weekend. Here's what I'll say: The food is good for the price. It's not stellar or amazing on its own. But with each dish being around $8 it's definitely worth it. But overall it is lacking in depth. Chili oil - absolutely no chili kick Wonton in chili - delicious. Can you just give me a giant bowl of this? It's like 4 bites. Potstickers - average Steamed buns - decent. The meat on the inside could use flavor. Shrimp potstickers - it wasn't bad. The sandwich - I got spicy and it has no sauce. Don't recommend. The wonton in chicken broth - delicious. All in all the food was good for the price. The thing that makes me hesitant about returning is the service. Fast service is not good service! Instead of having staff focus on a few tables each. All the server/wait staff are frequently scanning the room. The moment your plate looks empty they come and ask to take it. Or in some cases they just take it. So they don't pay attention to the customers and constantly move around I asked 3 different staff for a straw and it took several minutes to get it. You can be fast but still attentive! They were just fast. This also leads issue with the wrong order! The server checked off the wrong item so when another staff brought it out. I said I don't think this is what I ordered. They said "yes it is. It's marked here." And they wouldn't take it back. Luckily the one who did take my order was nearby and acknowledged they mistook my order. Slow down! Take your time.

Yelp
Fair priced corresponding to their portions. The portions allows you to try more items in the menu and it's perfect for a comfort meal. Onion pancake, beef noodles, dan dan noodles, spiced cucumbers, and XLB. Very yummy. Service was good, food came out fast, and we wolved it all down. There's a line during meal time so be prepared for a small wait. Otherwise, enjoy!
google avatar

Sabrina H.

Yelp
Dough Zone is a great affordable spot if you are in a pinch and you want a cheaper alternative to Din Tai Fung. The wait times can get pretty lengthy so I would suggest joining the virtual Yelp waitlist beforehand so you can cut down on the queuing. For half the price, you can get more food so it's a good bang for buck. The trade-off is that I don't think the food quality here is always good. The vegetarian dumplings I got were mushy and flavorless and the banana naan was weirdly chewy and not actually naan. Their noodle dishes are OK and the best thing on their menus is undoubtedly the Q-baos which are fluffy and crispy on the outside, and filled with pork juices on the inside. Good, cheap spot if you order the right items and if you're in a pinch, but definitely hop on the waitlist.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
I normally hate Chinese food. I can't stand the flavors. But this I appreciated. The dumplings have juice inside which adsmda good flavor. The green onion pancake is so simple but yummy and crispy. The beef sandwich was okay. Not my favorite and the banana dessert didn't have much flavor other than mushed banana. This place doesn't have the frills or fancy sauces. It's humble food, and you can try lots of things for the price point. Service is fast and food gets dropped off at your table by many different staff which keeps the food flowing.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting Dough Zone. I didn't review the Bellevue location (my first visit) because I was hoping to give another location a try before penning my review. Sigh. Not any better. We ordered six dishes , oolong tea and a Thai tea. Jon felt like his vegetarian glass noddles were largely inedible. He didn't even eat 1/4 of the bowl. I had the non vegetarian version and you can tell the glass noodles are made in China. The Taiwanese glass noodle is way better and I disliked the chewy texture of these glass noodles. Jon's vegetarian dumplings were flavorless. It was big amounts of dough with so little filling, I missed all the filling and got a mouthful of dough in the one dumpling I ate. No idea what veggies were supposed to be in it. I had the pork wontons with spicy sauce. The wontons tasted fine. They were just EXTREMELY SMALL. ONE of Jon's dumpling = two wontons! There was nothing spicy about their chili sauce. Was I supposed to ask for a spicier option?? The highlight of the meal were the spirally cut cucumbers with a nice sweet and sour sauce. Be forewarned.... make sure you mix the cucumbers with the sauce on the plate. The cucumbers on the top rows are not pre marinated. So if you take a big bite of it without adding the sauce from the plate, you're sucking on a spiral cut cucumber with no flavor. The other pretty yummy dish was the green onion pancakes. It was missing a smidgen of salt, so we had to dip it in soy sauce for the right balance of saltiness and flavor. Yeah. This Ding Tai Fung wanna-be largely missed the mark with me both times. Sigh.

Yelp
This place was quite busy when we visited but the staff were quick with service. It seems relative new and clean. We had few dumplings and they were ok. Nothing special compared to better dumplings.
google avatar

Janet Z.

Yelp
Ordered takeout of chicken and veggie wontons and broccoli with seafood sauce. Not sure how the kitchen messed up because I ended up with a box of romaine lettuce instead of my broccoli order. Wontons were fine and tasty, but minus two stars for half my order being wrong.
google avatar

Samantha T.

Yelp
Good food. My favorite as the chicken potstickers. Romaine lettuce salad with sesame dressing was soggy. They added way too much dressing for the amount of lettuce provided. They should also consider to sprinkle a little sesame seeds on top for added crunch favor since the lettuce came out soggy. Steamed pork buns were okay, no real flavor there. Pork wontons in chicken broth was okay also. The broth had a distinct flavor I couldn't put my hand on. The service was okay. Really busy here and felt a little rushed. Inside was clean and well maintained.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Recently tried this location and it's one of my least favorite, not because it's bad but because most Dough Zone locations are A++ and this one is just okay. They have a fantastic location next to the convention center but the store is very small, can't seat too many people, and the entry way can get congested. And despite it being fairly new, the seats are already peeling apart. The staff here, a bit more than the other locations despite having less tables, is great and always attentive. Food: the flavors are on par with other locations but the execution is not. The Dan Dan noodles were too watery and didn't pack enough spice. The Q Baos were not crunchy or moist enough. Xiaolongbao were very good but still lacked the juiciness you normally get at other locations.
google avatar

Ian F.

Yelp
Amazing soup dumplings - lot's of places have them these days, but few are this good. Fast, polite service. I came in hungry and they quickly brought me a delicious lunch! Be sure to try the artfully presented Sweet & Sour Cucumber.
google avatar

Flora Z.

Yelp
I tried Dough Zone Dumpling in different cities. This one has a similar taste like other Dough Zone restaurants but the service is not as good as others. For the steamed broccoli, the Dough Zone Dumpling in Houston puts the cut broccoli back to present it as a surprising but delightful broccoli. The one here is put the cut broccoli on a plate. The wait list for this one is much shorter than the one in Bellevue, but the waiters were too busy to take orders. The dumpling is ok but the dough and the filling is on the dry side. The tables were very closed to each other. Though you might overhear other's conversation, dinners were generally happy.
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
If I had put in this review Friday evening, it would have been 5 stars... had a bite here around 5:30 (before a concert) and the staff was friendly and fast, atmosphere was great and the food was YUMMY! Convenient location for the Paramount, and recommended by my Uber driver- it was a perfect! But about midnight I was very ill with food poisoning. Why not 1-star on the review? Well, it was really good before that!

Yelp
Cool local chain to get dumplings and Asian cuisine. Dough Zone has a few locations, including this one in Downtown. It has a slightly fancy yet still pretty casual feel, if you can call it that. Has a good variety of dumplings and plenty more to choose from. There's pretty okay options for vegetarians it seems. At dinner we came to get a few of the favorites. It's a popular local chain that has quite a few locations around Seattle. This seems like a pretty happening one, with it being in Downtown and all that. Got seated and it wasn't a long wait for everything. It's $5 for the Green Tea. Cold and refreshing. Of course we needed to get food too. It's about $5 for appetizers. The Sweet And Sour Cucumbers are sliced cucumbers with chili oil and a sweet and sour sauce. Good but it was too light. The main course would satisfy us. It's about $6 for an order of dumplings. The Vegetable Dumplings are filled with carrots, mushrooms, and peas. For sure we could visit this location or another one again. It's got this one on Pine Street at 9th. There's a few things to get for vegans and vegetarians.
google avatar

Renee S.

Yelp
Good place to get dumplings and noodles. They cut the cucumber in a giant swirl which is very pretty. Pricing is a bit high for the portion size in my opinion but I do like their noodles.

Yelp
First time visitors for a late night snack / meal Appears good spot for solo diners, group outing, date night, grab and go, and family dining. Easily a spot to order and share with others. Large selections of small bites, cold appetizers, pan fried, boiled, both dumpling, soup dumpling, and various noodle dishes. Tried the chicken and vegetable chili wonton, shrimp zucchini dumpling, and beef noodles. Food came out quick. The star dish was the beef noodles - tender falling a part protein with some nicely cooked noodles. the chili wonton had some heat but was undercooked. The dumpling was also undercooked and tasted more ratio of zucchini than shrimp. Reasonably priced, server was attentive and explained how things work, some of his favorites and check in a few times. Good to try out for a quick meal and wallet friendly but other spots may provide better quality and flavors.

Yelp
Ever watch Kung Fu Panda? Find your inner Po! Bao Dumplings, Noodles, Wontons, and Gyoza Really good food and a great value. Served family style, order 3-6 items per person and share. We have been many times now and it is always consistently good food. We have never been disappointed!

Yelp
Stopped by Dough Zone while in town for a conference. Great food and service, definitely join the waitlist ahead of time to avoid having to wait outside! Some standouts were: sweet and sour cucumber, xiao long bao, pan fried pork buns, and Dan Dan noodles. It's pretty lively, but a good place to catch up over some delicious dumplings!
google avatar

Juzenne C.

Yelp
My coworker and I came here on the first day of our work trip and we wanted to come back again. The service was quick and there are so many options. The pan fried dumplings, the soup dumplings and beef stew noodles are so delicious. I wish they had this restaurant in California!
google avatar

Desiree V.

Yelp
I love this place! I went three days in a row while in town for a conference. The food is really amazing and they have a lot of different options. They ask if you have any food allergies which is helpful as the menu doesn't always indicate that. The food comes out as it is ready. If you're with a group, they can only split the bill into 2 (pay with 2 cards or less), so be aware. It's a very busy spot but I was able to be seated quickly each time.
google avatar

Vinh M.

Yelp
Surprisingly on a Saturday night this place wasn't busy but it was packed. My friend and I got here approximately 30 or so minutes before closing and got seated quickly. You order using a paper menu and I was sad to see that the minced pork noodle wasn't on their menu anymore and was instead replaced with minced chicken noodles. Regardless, service was prompt and fast here, and our server was pretty proactive in getting us water and other things like ginger if we needed any. The inside can get a little noisy but it wasn't too overbearing. We ordered the five spice beef shank, zha Jiang mian, sweet & sour cucumber, green onion pancake, pan-fried pork & shrimp pot stickers and the pork & crab meat xiao long bao. Most things here tasted just all right, though the xiao long bao was a combination I don't have very much where the crab meat actually added a little more flavor than I thought. The zha Jiang mian was all right, and the beef shank was packed with flavor. Nothing too special or out there here. This is a good, decent place to come get some good and somewhat fast food, but be prepared for really long lines here especially on weekends and during conventions as it is near the Summit building! Be wary of street parking around here as it is hard to find.
google avatar

Devin R.

Yelp
This place is very chic and spacious. It also has a beautiful view of the Willamette River. The sweet and sour cucumbers were the star of the show - I could eat so many of these! The pork Xiao Long Bao were also great. The service was very fast too.
google avatar

Tammy L.

Yelp
I love eating at Dough Zone, the dan-dan noodles here are my absolute favorite and any one of the pan sticker dumplings. The service is great, they check up on you every now and then in case you need to take another order or for more water. The environment is perfect, you can see cars passing by!
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
Wait was pretty long. Makes sense since it's Downtown. I'd recommend going on Yelp and putting yourself on waitlist. If not you'll have to do it while you're there and wait longer. Wait time for food once we got sat wasn't bad at all. Service was fine. It was my first time in a Dough Zone so I was slightly thrown off by the way they served. No designated server. Just 3-4 people running around to whatever table looked like they needed stuff. Food came out pretty fast. Food itself... nothing extraordinary. It was edible but it all tasted pretty bland and didn't have any strong flavors. The actual restaurant itself is also pretty tiny but it's cute. Let's just say, i'd go again if someone else wanted to but it's not my first choice.
google avatar

Vince R.

Yelp
Not bad, but being half Asian for me personally it's better to just go directly to a non chain actual dim sum or Asian restaurant. Would be a 3 1/2 stars for me but Yelp doesn't have that ability in the ratings.
google avatar

Nina B.

Yelp
The xiao long naps are so good here. Try the pork and crab meet ones. Don't waste your time at din tai fung. Prices are way better and food taster better. Service doesn't matter, it's go, go, go. This location was cool in the inside. All locations look different and makes it fun.

Janet B.

Yelp
This restaurant is FABULOUS! We celebrated a birthday there last night. It was busy when we came in (as any restaurant would be @ 6:00 PM) We didn't wait long @ all. All 9 of us LOVED our food! The service was AMAZING! Each of our servers (including Manager Ryan & his Manager) checked on us several times. You won't be able to find better service anymore! The prices are very reasonable. We'll all be back soon.................When u look at the reviews it appears several of them are for other Dough Zone locations.............This one has only been open for a few days.
google avatar

Logan T.

Yelp
I love dough zone, I go at least once a month! However, I've noticed the past few times I've gone that the chili flakes in the chili oil are being blended very finely instead of being left to be chunkier. I much more preferred the flakier oil instead. #bringbacktheflakes

Yelp
Ordered delivery from this Dough Zone on a cold Seattle night and 35 minutes it was at our door... really can't get more convenient than that. The portions are on the smaller size and I think it's best for each person to order 2 dishes. My favorite dish we ordered was their beef noodle soup- tender pieces of beef in a spicy broth. So good and perfect for Seattle winter weather. Pork dumplings in chili oil was another favorite- I could probably eat 2-3 orders of this just myself! The spicy beef pancake was crispy, savory, and sweet with some fresh veggies. Chicken and veggie dumplings were a bit on the bland side but still certainly homey and warm. The soup dumplings held up surprisingly well through delivery but I bet that they're better fresh. Not willing to wait for that Michelin star spot? Dough Zone will satisfy your Chinese comfort food craving.

Yelp
The moment we started planning this trip I got started on letting WA friends know we'd be in town and bookmarking all the spots we needed to hit up. My gal pal and her husband drove all the way from Lacey to meet with us and showed us around the town. We finished up walking around the Pier when we were pleasantly surprised that this dough zone location I had bookmarked was just a few blocks up from where we were. Nice area and not hard to find. First few drinks Mr G. tried to order were not available... I guess that's the main reason for a star deduction. Another reason was for accepting our friends payment card over ours lol (typical Asians fighting over the bill!) Other than that, dinner and service seemed to go on smoothly. We chose a different sake that was in stock and they brought out cups for everyone to have a pour. All IDs were properly checked. We were given a paper order sheet and a pen so we wasted no time marking up orders and sending them in. All foods came out in a timely manner freshly made. No complaints on food. Variety was alright but I personally would like to see more choices. My favorite was the pan fried Ground beef cakes. The outer "shell" had a texture I really enjoyed with the flavor of the beef filling. As usual, any flavor mixed with pork seems to always get drowned out so I'd just skip on the "crab" XLB. It was a great setting for all of us to chill and really catch up. The atmosphere is definitely good for family and friends. Glad we were able to check off one of my bookmarked spots!

Yelp
Ambiance: Picture dim sum vibes with smaller tables/spaces. Service: The order in which the food was brought out was strange. Dumplings/potstickers/soup, then we waited for a while and was half way done with the aforementioned items before the cucumbers/dessert were brought out at the same time. Low on water on several occasions. After all the food was brought out, it felt like we were forgotten about. Had to wave down waiters for the check. Food: - Pork Xiao Long Bao (pork soup dumplings): Mediocre. Lacked seasoning. - Chicken Potstickers: There was a nice crunch from the pan fry. Dipping sauce was just chili oil. Either the potstickers themselves or the dipping sauce need to be given more flavor. - Chicken & Vegetable Wontons in Chicken Soup: We ordered this based on several raving reviews. The broth had an almost plastic-like taste. The wontons were just ok. - Sweet and Sour Cucumber: The dressing is mainly sweet with very little sour component and no spice. I did enjoy this dish but it was not enough to alter my opinion of the food here. - Banana Naan Bread: Surprisingly good. Simple yet unique. However, it did not taste like naan bread. The wrapping was thin and a bit chewy (in a good way), similar to fried rice paper. Probably the only reason I would come back if I was craving dessert. Overall: Didn't hate but would not come back or recommend.

Yelp
Wish we had a Dough Zone in San Diego! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Easy convenient ordering, good efficient service and the place is nice and clean. Even though we came in on a warm day in August ramen soup was still a good decision. The group thought this was one of our most satisfying meals during our entire trip. The dumplings with the instructions on how to eat was interesting, didn't think there was specific way to eat them :) Everything was very flavorful and just really good. We definitely recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
This location is about halfway up The Harbor Stairs. I didn't see an entrance where you could come in without going up some stairs. The interior is open and there's seating for all size parties. Everything was clean and the large windows open to the outside really brightened the space. I ordered the DanDan noodles and chicken potstickers. They weren't very busy but it did take a long time for my food to come out. The food was ok, nothing really to write home about. I like DoughZone but this visit was pretty lackluster. Nobody checked on me while I was there and it took a really long time to get my check when I was done. Not sure if this is normal at this location or not bit I would skip this place if you're on a time limit for "quick food".

Yelp
To avoid busy lunch hour, I ordered takeout. It was a smart decision. There were people waiting outside the restaurant. And I had to go through all those people to get inside for the pick up. They should do better to arrange the people waiting for tables. I received a text message saying the order was ready for pick up. I arrived 15 minutes later. When I picked up, there were no utensils, no sauces, and not even a straw for my drink. I'm glad I asked for a pair of chopsticks - and that was the time they realized and went to get utensils and the chili sauce for me. I cannot imagine what if I forgot to ask for the chopsticks - how am I going to eat the noodle with no utensils in a hotel room. While, for the milk tea, I forgot to ask for a straw so there was no straw at all... this is why I only gave three stars here. For the food, it is fine. I order noodle soup. The soup and noodle were packed separately. After I mixed them, it tasted okay - not great but okay. The cucumber salad on the other hand, was really good!

Yelp
This is a great option if you want to grab food before a show at the Paramount. When we visited, the time estimate on the waitlist was 1-11 min and it was over a 20 min wait. This isn't too much of a discrepancy, but we had time to spare so it wasn't a problem. If we were tighter on time, it could've been an issue. But otherwise, everything is so efficient. The ordering, the time it takes for food to come out, and the ease and speed of paying. And the food is really good. This was our second time here but first at this location. The food quality is good and the prices are right! They have lots of options for most diets (plenty of vegetarian options). And they ask at the beginning if there are any food allergies.

Yelp
My fiancé and I opted to go to this place over din tai fung after a recommendation from a friend and we loved it! We went during lunch time and the establishment was very busy and bustling but we were sat fairly quickly after putting ourselves in the Yelp wait list! We ordered pig ear, cucumbers, the pork xiao long bao (pork soup dumplings), q-bao (pork pan fried buns), and high tail shrimp dumplings. Everything was delicious and the service was great! I highly recommend for a quick bite in Seattle! (The cucumbers were a MUST for me!)

Yelp
I was in Seattle again for work, and a coworker who's from the area recommended Dough Zone. I gotta say, I was blown away by how good the food was. I've never had dumplings like that before, and everything we ordered was incredible! The kale, wontons, chicken noodles, green onion pancakes, beef pancakes, banana naan, Q-bao--everything was on point. Now that I'm back home, I'm on the hunt for places that compare. Someone mentioned Dough Zone is similar to DTF, and I totally agree, but Dough Zone's way easier on the wallet. When I'm back in Seattle this Spring, I'll definitely be returning for more!

Yelp
Classic mid-tier dumpling house chain. Prices are reasonable. Seating here is plentiful. Your only difficulty will be to find parking nearby (that isn't expensive). We love stopping here for a quick and good dumpling and/or noodle dish. We tried the banana naan bread as our something new and were pleasantly surprised at how unusually delicious it was.

Yelp
Food was great, and relatively affordable too (compared to the other soup dumpling place which I'm sure everyone is familiar with). There were lots of options and we ordered quite a bit, but the main thing we were for were the soup dumplings, which did not disappoint. Only complaint I have is the dumpling dough was a bit thick, but that's splitting hairs. Our sever was also very attentive, and made sure to check on us regularly. Overall, would recommend!

Yelp
Watched a play with my youngest and met my hubby for dinner here after. Ordered the chicken wonton with chicken broth, it was amazing it was cold and rainy so this hit the spot. Also had the Green Onion Pancake super crispy and light. Of course the Pork Xiao Long Bao and Steamed Pork Buns were superb!. The sevice was fast and the place has ample dining room space. The waiting area was a little small though.
