The Downtown Lunch Guide

"When you need to impress someone with excellent dumplings, take them to Dough Zone. It’s a small Seattle-based chain that’s serious about xiao long bao, buns, and noodles, and they also plate their pickled cucumbers to look like a slinky. You can’t go wrong with any of the dumplings here, but the best are the Q bao pork buns. Five come with an order, so it’s inevitable that there’ll be a fight over the last one." - aimee rizzo

Where to Eat While Shopping in Seattle During the Holidays - Eater Seattle

"Dough Zone’s soup dumpling gives the legendary Din Tai Fung option a run for its money, but the fried version is a true highlight here, too. The sheng jian bao are crispy, but still juicy. It’s easy to make a meal of the reasonably priced dumplings and noodles at this dough specialist, which continues to expand with this Downtown location, which is usually less packed than DTF’s Pacific Place outpost (but still pretty packed)." - Gabe Guarente

The food was delicious. We ordered more than in the pictures. The sweet and sour cucumber was very refreshing and potstickers had a unique touch of crispiness (missed pictures). The soup dumplings are a must have. I must admit the wait was longer but it was worth it. Make sure you sign up for dine in before waiting in the queue outside.

PLEASE GO HERE!!! This place was the best food we’ve had in the city. Wait at 6:40ish was less than 10 minutes despite the place being super busy. You mark what you want on the slip of paper that staff then comes and checks over with you for allergens. We were slightly worried we had ordered too much, but the portions were sized perfectly! Not the usual American sizing where we have gotten used to way too much food for one meal. Split the scallion pancakes, Yibin noodles, veggie wontons, and chicken dumplings between two. WOW. Everything was incredible, but a special shoutout to the noodles for the incredible flavors in the sauce. We quite literally used the leftover sauce for our other foods. The wontons and dumplings were so juicy as well! Fun to have pancakes that were flakier than most. Insane plating and overall time. Wow. Want to go back already.

We were a large group that had just finished the dragon boat race, so we were so hungry and tired, and basically ordered most of the items on the menu! House Specials: We had Green Onion Pancake, Spicy Beef Pancake Roll, Pan-Fried Chive Dumplings, Braised Pig Ears, and Spicy Beef Shank. The green onion pancake was not greasy, but flavor-wise, it tasted a bit plain. The pan-fried chive dumplings tasted good, but their fried egg mixed with chives was mushy, which made the texture slightly off. The pig ear and beef shank were both really good. I would recommend these two as appetizers. Soup dumplings: We got pork XLB, pork & crab meat XLB, and chicken XLB, all of them were tasty, I do wish they had more soup inside though. Dumplings: We had chicken, pork & shrimp potstickers, and chicken steamed dumplings. The potstickers were alright, I would say the steamed dumplings tasted just ok. Wontons: The pork wontons in chili sauce, which taste really good with a nice spicy kick! And we had sweet and sour cucumber as the palate cleanser to freshen up our palate. Noodles: We tried hot & sour glass noodles, dan dan noodles, green onion soy sauce noodles, yibin noodles, and spicy mala noodles. I would recommend Yibin noodles, which are flavorful and spicy. The dan dan noodles tasted great too!

This is an incredibly popular restaurant near the convention center. Considering the crowds, I was impressed by how quickly they seated people and how quickly the food came out in stages. Everything is done family style. We actually started with dessert, banana crepes, which was fun and awesome. Food kept flowing in from there, several kinds of dumpling, bao, kale salad, and beef wraps. Everything was good, and was an incredibly nice buy for the money.

We tried several dishes at Dough Zone, and I have to say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The Sweet & Sour Cucumber was hands down my favorite—crunchy, fresh, and the perfect way to start the meal. The Vegetable Potstickers were okay, not the standout of the evening but still decent. The Pan Fried Pork Buns were perfectly steamed and had a great balance of flavor. I also loved the Green Onion Pancake—crispy, flaky, and delicious. We ended our dinner with the Dan Dan Noodles, which were absolutely perfect—warm, comforting, and flavorful, tying the whole experience together beautifully. Despite the restaurant being jam-packed due to an event at the convention center, the food was impressively fresh and flavorful. The service was fast, the staff was polite and attentive, and the prices were super reasonable. I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Google
I enjoyed the experience. but service does lack. every table has soy, vinegar, and chili sauce. we ordered veggie steamed dumplings, and pork and shrimp dumplings. I also order flavored noodles with cucumber and carrots on top. and banana Naan. wasn't bad, but they should offer more sauces for dumplings. both sets of dumplings don't have too m8ch flavor, and soy did the job for me, but I would have liked a little more variety. veggies were fresh. my wife ordered the beef noolemsoup. we did enjoy the food, but it didn't rise to anything above average. It's a small space, and they often ask folks if they are willing to share a table with people you don't know. I heard them ask 3 different couples while in line. so no real private conversation. the banana Naan is not really the Indian term you come to know. it's more like banana pancakes you dip in whip cream.

The restaurant was about a 3-minute walk from our hotel. We saw good ratings, so we decided to have dinner here. The dan dan noodles were too salty, but had a good texture. The pan-fried pork buns had an excellent taste. The pork and shrimp potstickers were okay, but a little too salty. The atmosphere was good with lovely decor. The staff members were friendly. The bill was okay as expected, but the portion was too small. I would recommend this place for a dating couple.

Google
I had a very good time at Dough Zone! It’s very popular, so I waited about 20 minutes for a table (this was around 7 PM on a weeknight). The staff was attentive and answered my questions. The food was fantastic! So good and quite unique. I can’t say enough about it. The restaurant is well-appointed and is a great place to relax. It’s also located in a high-traffic entertainment area, just steps from the Paramount Theater. A very enjoyable and memorable experience—I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Very good food, very good service. Not too expensive compared to other restaurants of the same kind.

Yelp
09-01-2015 -Green Onion Pancake $4.15- room temperature -Banana Crepe with Whipped Cream $6.95- also room temperature -Pork & Shrimp Potstickers $7.30- even they were room temperature, sill yummy! -Pork Wontons in Chicken Soup $7.90- this dish came out first. It was hot, the right temperature. Service: Subpar. I brought my niece here for lunch. Her dish, pork wontons in chicken soup, was the first one to arrive at the table. The rest of our orders took 10min; they were left unattended before serving to us. Also, the first time my party and I were here, I had shared with them how much I enjoyed having crushed ginger as one of the ingredients in my dipping sauce. This time around, ginger was not present. Our waiter completely forgot to give us some. I knew something was off but didn't figure out until we had finished our meal. My experience this time around was below average : (

Yelp
New to Seattle and this is my first sit down Chinese restaurant. Considering it was a Sunday night there was not too much of a wait. From joining the wait list at the front to getting seated was less than half an hour. Each table has vinegar, a pot of spicy chili oil, and soy sauce with non disposable chopsticks (which I personally liked) and a soup spoon. We placed the order on the paper menu which one of the server brought to the back. When they came back, they taped it to our table and gave us two little trays of minced ginger. First to come out was the soup dumpling and the Dan Dan noodles. Aesthetically, having the soup dumplings come out with the whole bamboo steamer was such a visual treat. The dumpling wrap was thin and each dumpling definitely had a good pool of broth. I would highly recommend eating these as soon as they're out since the wrappers did get much chewier as it cooled. Next was the beef pancake. It was a scallion pancake wrapped out seasoned beef slices and pickled cabbage. It was on the oily side but the beef was so good!! The pork pan friend bun was way more crisp than I thought-- the bottom of the buns are slightly thicker so after the pan fry it has a bit of a biscuit like texture. The pork was also so juicy that I thought I received a pan friend soup bun! Finally the Dan Dan noodles-- don't forget to mix it up with the sesame paste that may have settled to the bottom. My personal favorite was how nutty the noodles tasted. My tongue was completely numbed from the spice so I'm glad I left that for last. For the price I'm very satisfied with what I got! This feels like great bang for the buck. We were seated fairly quickly, our orders came out as expected (the establishment filled up as we were seated). The servers also zipped by our table twice and grabbed our empty plates and dashed. The total for these 4 dishes came out to 41.04 pre tip!

Yelp
In town for a medical conference and it was getting late and my colleague and I needed a quick meal so we headed over to this relatively busy, quick casual noodle joint. Somewhat "brisk" and unfriendly seating process. I don't expect and need a smile but waiting for me to finish requesting a table vs a counter for our meal seems like a fundamental skill !?! We ended up at a tiny table that quickly filled up with all 5-6 of our dishes which seemingly arrived all at once and many got cold or were cold by the time we maneuvered them on the small table so we could eat them. Most dishes were passable but cold food which arrives all at once from a dumpling joint doesn't cut it for me. Prices okay but service was awful and I'd be hard pressed to revisit or recommend this place. We dropped over $60 for two of us. I'll go elsewhere in the future. Meh

Yelp
A west coast chain place....this place is great for a chain restaurant. Everything made with a much more personal place. So, don't let that chain thought taint your judgement of the place. Everything we had here was fairly darn good to excellent. The broth in the one noodle dish was fantastic. Nice nest cool contemporary atmosphere. Takes a little time coming out of the kitchen.but hey...everything is a lot of hand assembly. Pretty good place...try it out!

Yelp
Met up with some longtime friends for a long overdue reunion and dinner on a Sunday night. Dough Zone was the destination that was bestowed the honor of hosting such a historic event and it met the mark. Extensive menu with plenty of options, and we just about tried more than half of it. The food was tasty, came quick, and came plenty. Perfect place for a group setting. I recommend the five spice over the spicy beef shank, and my personal favorite dish was the hightail shrimp and pork dumplings.

Yelp
Saw this place was recommended on the Eater List and we randomly passed it and decided to stop in. To our surprise for Seattle the dishes were reasonably priced. We ordered take out and ate outside. The dishes were smaller in size. We ordered Szechuan noodles and potstickers. We were disappointed in the meal. We though the food was way too doughy, maybe that's how they got their name?? The food was nothing special to rave about and we didn't finish our meal.

Yelp
Despite the restaurant being really busy, we were able to get in quickly! The interior is well decorated! All the food we ordered is great, but the Xiao Long Bao was my personal favorite! You can't go wrong here!

Yelp
I really liked: Pork XLBs Beef Pancake Roll Beef Pancake Roll Pan fried mixed wontons Spicy Ma La noodles I liked: Sweet & Sour Cucumbers Pork wontons in chili sauce Pan fried chive dumplings Pork and crab XLBs Green onion pancakes Taro milk tea This was ok: Thai milk tea Milk tea Dough Zone is always reliable #goodeats for dumplings and small plates, and this visit was no exception. The pork XLBs are a standout, juicy and full of flavor, slightly better than the pork and crab version which is still good but not quite as rich. The beef pancake roll is another favorite. The beef is tender and well-seasoned, wrapped in a crispy pancake that holds everything together perfectly. Pan-fried mixed wontons deliver that satisfying crunch on the bottom, while the pan-fried chive dumplings pack a strong chive punch for those who love bolder flavors. The spicy Ma La noodles have a nice kick with the numbing effect building gradually, and the pork wontons in chili sauce are sharp and easy to eat, a very solid pick. On the lighter side, the sweet and sour cucumbers lean a little sweet, so they are less refreshing than I'd usually expect but still enjoyable. The green onion pancake surprised me, not overly flaky but still flavorful and satisfying. For drinks, the taro milk tea comes out on top with stronger flavor and less of the watered-down feel that the regular milk tea and Thai milk tea had. The Thai milk tea isn't overly sweet, but the flavor isn't as bold as it could be. Service was good. The staff brought out food quickly and even let us linger a bit longer to finish eating without any pressure. The ambiance feels like a nice Asian restaurant with enough space that it doesn't feel crowded, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. Overall, Dough Zone delivers a lot of good options and consistent quality, especially if you stick with the dumplings, noodles, and pancakes. Definitely worth a visit if you're craving comforting Chinese small plates in Seattle.

Yelp
This place seemed like it was very busy from the outside - though it was easy enough to check in and we got seated fairly quickly. I liked some of the things we got, particularly the kale salad. My companion didn't like the dan dan noodles - just looking at the menu and realizing that it does say "numbing" on it, so it's definitely in the fine print we missed. I liked the potstickers. I have realized this is a chain and they are also in my area in California, so I might try that here. I did feel like the service was fast. The ambiance is not a fancy place but a quick place to get a fresh meal.

Yelp
We were tired after a long day seeing Seattle, so we decided to do some tasty delivery. I saw the Dough Zone and thought we would try some of my favorite Chinese dumplings and noodles. We had beef and pork potstickers, Dan Dan noodle and the green onion and soy sauce noodles. It was a fast delivery, hot and tasty. Another plus, affordable and a great value! The packaging was colorful and the door dasher was prompt and friendly. Food was quick and if you are looking for authenticity and taste, look no further than the Dough Zone!

Yelp
One of the most reasonably priced restaurants in Seattle. The food was delicious and very quick. The restaurant itself was packed so we placed an order on DD to go and ate it at the hotel. As soon as I finished I wanted more but refrained. Everything was wonderful here from the dumplings to scallion pancakes to noodles to tea and more.

Yelp
Went later on a Thursday night and the restaurant still had a good crowd, which was a good sign. We didn't have to wait too long for a table. We ordered by making our choices on a the paper provided. The soup dumplings were very good. I liked that it wasn't so hot that it would burn my mouth when I took a bite. We also had the beef roll, which was my least favorite but still decent. It was a bit greasy with not enough filling in proportion to the roll...or they need to space out the filling more so it wasn't all gathered in the middles section. My favorite was the dan dan noodles. It looked kind of plain but was sooo flavorful and not too spicy. I could have eaten two bowls of those noodles. Service was fast and efficient.
google avatar

Nicole S.

Yelp
The food was fair, I wish there was more flavor though. The service was good, Neo was friendly and our water glasses never got below half full. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 3 pm and it was busy! Our food didn't all come out at once either so done of our party was left waiting. Not sure if I'd go back.
google avatar

Mary N.

Yelp
Solid dumpling house. The traditional soup dumplings were perfectly cooked and was not overly hot when it hit our tables so we were able to eat it without burning our mouths. The star is the Dan Dan noodles. Small portion but it was very savory. The pork and shrimp dumpling was standard. The beef rolls was a bit of a disappointment, I've have had better elsewhere; it was something about the beef consistency/flavoring that was not as good as I've had at some other restaurants.

Yelp
Very similar to Din Tai Fung and just as good. Some say it's better but hard for me to tell unless I did a back to back eating. Nice clean restaurant and service is professional. Dishes come out quickly and fresh/hot. Everything was very good. My only complaint would be that the Dan Dan noodles are a very small portion for the cost. It's almost like an individual size and not the best for sharing with a group of 3 or more. All the dumplings we got were flavorful and fresh. Good place if you're in the mood for dumplings and Asian food.
google avatar

Yelp
There's a QR code you have to scan to be on the waitlist. Waitlist goes quickly. Was 18th on the list and was seated in an hour. Food was good. Got the qbao and yibin noodles. Qbao is what they are known for and was good. Yibin noodles are covered in chili oil, soy sauce and vinegar with some peanuts. There's no meat. Would come back again.

Yelp
If you looking for dumpling and noodles Dough Zone is the place to get all the aromatic flavors and taste in your yummy. The service was quick and friendly. They do not serve rice, we asked. The Dan Dan noodles and beef soup were our favorite as they were juicy and full of flavor. Check them out next time you're in Seattle
google avatar

Yelp
Reasonably-priced. Love the xiao long bao, cold noodles, and the spicy wontons in chili oil. Other dumplings didn't particularly stand out. We ordered the pretty sweet and sour cucumber for a vegetable but were wondering why they don't have string beans. Expect a wait but it moves fairly quickly. Knocking off a few stars for the poor service. Slow and not friendly.

Yelp
We did a takeout experience as we were just feeling like being in the hotel. We stayed at the Paramount Hotel and walked here to get the takeout. The restaurant seemed nice with some great helpers. The food was amazing! We ate every single one of these items! I would recommend trying a bunch, share and explore! Enjoy!

Yelp
The line moved quickly for our party of 4 for lunch during PAX West. We had over 16+ groups ahead of us and had about a 25 min wait. We were able to fill out our order paper while waiting and were eating within 5 min of getting seated. Saw *most* of the employees hustling and still friendly and attentive. Xiao long bao, pan fried pork buns, dan dan noodles, pickled cucumbers were all pretty good. The steamed broccoli is NOT Chinese broccoli, but white people little trees broccoli with a side of oyster sauce. That was probably the only dish that threw us off!

Yelp
My partner and I came here for a bit of a late night eat after a horrible air bnb experience causing a delay in our plans and this place saved the night for us. The dumplings were so flavorful and juicy it was amazing and they smelled just as great too. The noodles were flavor packed and had a nice texture to them and the portions were big enough for two to share. We got the soup dumplings, pan fried dumplings, spicy ma la noodles and the yi bin noodles. Don't forget some yummy passion fruit green tea to wash it all down!

Yelp
I will be dreaming about the sweet and sour cucumber, so tasty! The service was excellent. Our server, Neo, deserves a shout out! Worth a visit when visiting Seattle.

Yelp
Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend ordering to go from this place. My experience was pretty lengthy despite my food showing as been done for over 20 minutes before they gave it to me. And it was ice cold. Regardless how many times I asked they just kept saying it's not ready. All while over hearing 2 of the workers laughing about leaving my food in the back and making me wait. Well deserved 1 star rating.

Yelp
I've tried everything on the menu and go to the Chinatown, U Village and Pine locations as well as do take out from Door Dash. . The food is FANTASTIC, quick, consistent, and timed perfectly. From the moment my orders are put in it's like clockwork. 6-7 dishes will be brought out within 6-8 minutes or less. Having worked in the service industry there is a rhythm of how and when dishes come out. For example, my pancake and spicy cucumber may come first, then my noodles and steamed dumplings, then my beef sandwich. Ambiance is cozy and servers are mostly pretty attentive. It's hit or miss and I may get a college student spacing out. Prices are great and I feel I get more food compared to Din Tai Fungs. Different atmosphere and different clientele but equally as delicious. Great job Dough Zone.

Yelp
The ambiance, music, and staff are all great! We got seated right away and ordering was easy. You use a QR code and mark your order on paper. Here's what we ordered: - Dan Dan Noodles (very flavorful) - Spicy (Ma La) Noodles (strong Szechuan taste) - Zha Jiang Mian (not a lot of flavor) - Yibin Noodles (salty) - Pork Xiao Long Bao (tasty soup dumplings) - Vegetable Potstickers (soggy) - Chicken & Vegetable Wontons in Hot & Sour Sauce (yummy) - Steamed Pork Buns (not a lot of filling but the bun was soft) - Sweet & Sour Cucumber (delicious) - Green Onion Pancake (crispy and not oily. My favorite!) - Romaine Lettuce Salad with Sesame Dressing (too much dressing. Very strong sesame flavor) - Oolong tea (hit the spot!) Overall we enjoyed our lunch but were expecting more from the main dishes.

Yelp
Quaint little place. Great atmosphere to visit and get delicious food! I don't live here but if I ever get near one of these restaurants again I will definitely go out of my way to get dumplings!

Yelp
I'm still a DTF stan, but I'm not a fan of DTF's crazy wait. Dough Zone pretty much gets the cravings settled for zero wait almost. Being just down the block makes any 30+ min wait at DTF illogical, just WALK over to Dough Zone. There are definitely more noodle choices at Dough Zone. XLB is alright unless you were hoping for the truffle XLB, then DZ can't help you there. My group of 3 came at around 8pm on a Sunday, not much of a wait for a late weekend meal. Service was pretty quick and attentive. They were nice enough to not kick us out while they were wrapping up for the day. Ordered the minced chicken noodle, crab XLB, and some wonton in chili oil. None of the XLB broke while I picked them up with chopsticks, the wrapper was thin enough but not mushy. Not much crab taste though, I could have done regular pork ones and feel the same. Noodles were more interesting, the pickled veggie made it more appetizing. Nothing spectacular in all aspects, but I had a decent casual meal here because my first choice would make me very hangry.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place so we ordered takeout from here during a recent stay in Seattle. Since our hotel was just a couple minutes away, we picked it up ourselves. Super convenient. The food was labeled and packed well with condiments and utensils provided. We ordered their pork xiao long bao, pork wontons in chili sauce, pan fried chive dumplings, and sweet & sour cucumbers. Everything was delicious. Our toddler LOVED the sweet & sour cucumbers--he practically ate the whole order himself and asked for them the following day. That's a win in my book!

Yelp
I always enjoy a good dumpling so why not try some dumplings while visiting Seattle. We decided to try Dough Zone since we were in the area and arrived at around 5:00pm. We were able to be seated right away. By 5:45-6:00 the place was full. Our order was similar to what we usually order at a dumpling house. We ordered pork xiao long bao, pork wonton in chili sauce, pan fried pork and shrimp dumplings and Dan Dan noodles. Everything was good and reasonably priced. Compared to other dumpling houses I've been to the chili sauce isn't very spicy or as flavorful and the broth in the soup dumplings is not as rich in flavor but the reasonable pricing makes it a viable dumpling house option if your craving dumplings and your in the Seattle area.

Yelp
We got here at 6 on a Monday and we were seated very quickly for a group of 3, when we left though there was a line to get seated. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share and they all came out really fast. It ended up being about 50 dollars for all 3 of us which wasn't bad. Half of the drink menu was out I guess which was disappointing. The spot is nice and has big windows. The dan dan noodles are really great and was my fav thing we got there, the chili oil wontons are my second.

Yelp
Dinned in a Friday evening and was able to get seated quick since I placed myself on the yelp waiting list prior to arriving which I highly suggest! There's a decent amount of seating but can easily get filled quick. It definitely has a nice and calm atmosphere. Once seated, they give a list of the menu where you add the quantity of the items you would like with a pen. The menu has a great variety of dishes. Everything turned out great but didn't think it was amazing. The portions are good to share and the prices of the dishes were reasonable.

Yelp
Excellent location and interior, great service at the counter, gets 4 stars because the food just isn't of 5 star quality. Place probably suffers from its own success where they're trying to make it more of a chain enterprise and in turn food quality goes down.

Yelp
Stopped here while I was in Seattle for the weekend. Here's what I'll say: The food is good for the price. It's not stellar or amazing on its own. But with each dish being around $8 it's definitely worth it. But overall it is lacking in depth. Chili oil - absolutely no chili kick Wonton in chili - delicious. Can you just give me a giant bowl of this? It's like 4 bites. Potstickers - average Steamed buns - decent. The meat on the inside could use flavor. Shrimp potstickers - it wasn't bad. The sandwich - I got spicy and it has no sauce. Don't recommend. The wonton in chicken broth - delicious. All in all the food was good for the price. The thing that makes me hesitant about returning is the service. Fast service is not good service! Instead of having staff focus on a few tables each. All the server/wait staff are frequently scanning the room. The moment your plate looks empty they come and ask to take it. Or in some cases they just take it. So they don't pay attention to the customers and constantly move around I asked 3 different staff for a straw and it took several minutes to get it. You can be fast but still attentive! They were just fast. This also leads issue with the wrong order! The server checked off the wrong item so when another staff brought it out. I said I don't think this is what I ordered. They said "yes it is. It's marked here." And they wouldn't take it back. Luckily the one who did take my order was nearby and acknowledged they mistook my order. Slow down! Take your time.

Yelp
Dough Zone is a great affordable spot if you are in a pinch and you want a cheaper alternative to Din Tai Fung. The wait times can get pretty lengthy so I would suggest joining the virtual Yelp waitlist beforehand so you can cut down on the queuing. For half the price, you can get more food so it's a good bang for buck. The trade-off is that I don't think the food quality here is always good. The vegetarian dumplings I got were mushy and flavorless and the banana naan was weirdly chewy and not actually naan. Their noodle dishes are OK and the best thing on their menus is undoubtedly the Q-baos which are fluffy and crispy on the outside, and filled with pork juices on the inside. Good, cheap spot if you order the right items and if you're in a pinch, but definitely hop on the waitlist.

Yelp
Dumplings? Yes please. Enough said. Enough said. Enough said. Let the pictures tell the story. And yes, there's a happy ending.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting Dough Zone. I didn't review the Bellevue location (my first visit) because I was hoping to give another location a try before penning my review. Sigh. Not any better. We ordered six dishes , oolong tea and a Thai tea. Jon felt like his vegetarian glass noddles were largely inedible. He didn't even eat 1/4 of the bowl. I had the non vegetarian version and you can tell the glass noodles are made in China. The Taiwanese glass noodle is way better and I disliked the chewy texture of these glass noodles. Jon's vegetarian dumplings were flavorless. It was big amounts of dough with so little filling, I missed all the filling and got a mouthful of dough in the one dumpling I ate. No idea what veggies were supposed to be in it. I had the pork wontons with spicy sauce. The wontons tasted fine. They were just EXTREMELY SMALL. ONE of Jon's dumpling = two wontons! There was nothing spicy about their chili sauce. Was I supposed to ask for a spicier option?? The highlight of the meal were the spirally cut cucumbers with a nice sweet and sour sauce. Be forewarned.... make sure you mix the cucumbers with the sauce on the plate. The cucumbers on the top rows are not pre marinated. So if you take a big bite of it without adding the sauce from the plate, you're sucking on a spiral cut cucumber with no flavor. The other pretty yummy dish was the green onion pancakes. It was missing a smidgen of salt, so we had to dip it in soy sauce for the right balance of saltiness and flavor. Yeah. This Ding Tai Fung wanna-be largely missed the mark with me both times. Sigh.

Yelp
Delicious food for the family. We liked almost everything. Dandan, noodles, steamed shrimp gyozas and pan fried beef rolls were outstanding. Xiao long bao,pan fried beef bao and beef noodle soup were decent. Kale salad was a nice surprise. As dough is indeed with their name, the noodles and wraps are really made to perfection. The stuffings in baos were more on the solid side missing some fluffiness so shrimp gyoza with a whole shrimp in the middle created a different texture and a bit air too. Dandan noodle was just right with mixed flavors. I added some Kyle salad to the Dan Dan noodle. So good together. My college kid mentions this is the cheaper version of Ding Tai Feng which I don't really agree with.Xiao long bao is no where close to DTF. But noodles and beef rolls are definitely something DTF could not match. Services were very friendly and quick. A nice place for your dough craving.

Yelp
Came here during a recent trip to Seattle and everything was delicious. We enjoyed both steamed and fried dumplings, onion pancakes, and Dan Dan noodles. I would've liked a larger portion for the Dan Dan noodles, but the flavor was good. I would definitely come back here for dumplings - and we're particular about dumplings. Ordering and service was great. The place is really big and decorated well. There's even a little bar area for solo eaters to enjoy their meal. Next trip to Seattle, I'm coming back.

Yelp
I'm glad I tried it but wouldn't come back. Also as one person it's pricey as the dishes are more family style if you wanna try a bit of everything. With tip almost $50 to try 4 things. Cucumbers were ok. Fresh and kind of crunchy but the sauce was mediocre. I love cucumbers, as is, with sauce, marinated, all the things but I didn't even finish them here. Pork and crab meat soup dumplings were hands down delicious. I'd eat those again. The specialty Q-bao crispy fried pork buns were mehhhhhhh. Let down for sure! It's like when you open a bag of chips and you see that it's 1/3 full. The meat inside fit into one bite if you cut it in 4ths. Also the crunch to soft ratio wasn't alll that it was tacked up to be. Bottom was solid and hard and top was soft lol. Beef stew with nooodles was decent. Broth was Rich and meat tender. All in one, maybe worth trying with others but you're not in for a mind blowing meal. Service however was fantastic. Servers work with a sense of urgency. They're friendly and helpful and food delivery was impressively quick. My server was wonderful. Attentive. Fast. Asked about food allergies. Nice. Deserves a raise.

Yelp
Food tasted very good! When you get there be sure to scan the code to get on the wait list. Very easy and convenient. Sizes are a little on the small size, especially for the noodle dishes, so don't be afraid to order more. It's served family style and bought out when ready, they don't wait till everything is ready so it comes out nice and hot. The spicy food wasn't too hot, but was flavorful. Seating was fairly quick and they bought water quickly, only didn't check for refills so don't drink too quickly. Services was friendly. Very comfortable seating.

Yelp
Fun experience. Different styles of noodles & dumplings For seniors who lack technical skills it's a bit of challenge but it's worth it. Long wait but as mentioned it's fun food Youthful staff absorbed in their work

Yelp
Fair priced corresponding to their portions. The portions allows you to try more items in the menu and it's perfect for a comfort meal. Onion pancake, beef noodles, dan dan noodles, spiced cucumbers, and XLB. Very yummy. Service was good, food came out fast, and we wolved it all down. There's a line during meal time so be prepared for a small wait. Otherwise, enjoy!

Yelp
Food is amazing. Dan dan noodles 10/10. Love the cucumbers as well. Not the best customer service more of a fast food feel but you're served at the table. Worth it for the food. It's just as good if not better than Din Tai Fung- but half the price

Yelp
I normally hate Chinese food. I can't stand the flavors. But this I appreciated. The dumplings have juice inside which adsmda good flavor. The green onion pancake is so simple but yummy and crispy. The beef sandwich was okay. Not my favorite and the banana dessert didn't have much flavor other than mushed banana. This place doesn't have the frills or fancy sauces. It's humble food, and you can try lots of things for the price point. Service is fast and food gets dropped off at your table by many different staff which keeps the food flowing.
