From MrBeast to David Dobrik to Dylan Lamey, YouTube and TikTok Stars Are Opening Real-Life Restaurants | Eater

"A flagship pizza shop opened by a high-profile, controversial YouTuber unleashed massive, chaotic demand in Los Angeles: the inaugural service saw lines that spilled over multiple city blocks into the Hollywood Hills and disrupted traffic, with reports of people waiting hours and social-media claims calling it both a major flex to have eaten there and, from others, one of the best slices they’d had. The launch underscored how creator-owned restaurants can generate intense, content-fueled hype that extends beyond the product itself." - Bettina Makalintal

YouTuber David Dobrik Opens a Chicago-Style Pizza Parlor in LA | Eater LA

"Tucked between Saddle Ranch Chop House and Carney’s on Sunset Boulevard, I found Doughbrik’s Pizza, the first restaurant from YouTube creator David Dobrik, which opens on November 12 at 8363 Sunset Boulevard. Dobrik partnered with Lemonade founders Alan Jackson and Ian Olsen and collaborator Ilya Fedorovich to bring the pizzeria to life; the menu leans Chicago-style with two crusts available by the slice or whole pie — a cracker-thin, square-cut Chicago tavern-style crust and a focaccia-like “doughy” base. Pies range from straight cheese and pepperoni to vegetarian and Hawaiian, with a meat lovers and a Chicagoan that features a three-cheese blend, Italian herbs, garlic, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and a hot giardiniera mix; a hot honey drizzle and breadsticks with dipping sauces are offered as extras. Slices are no more than $6.50 and whole pies run $28–$38. Drinks include sodas and slushies, and the dessert menu offers ice cream scoops such as Blue Moon, chocolate, and vanilla. The restaurant occupies a former Starbucks and retains dine-in patio seating, will keep late weekend hours to serve club and bar crowds, and Dobrik and Fedorovich have scattered Easter eggs and surprises throughout the space. A spokesperson lists hours as Sunday–Wednesday 11 a.m.–10 p.m. and Thursday–Saturday 11 a.m.–3 a.m. The spot is tied to Dobrik, a controversial figure who is the subject of a pending lawsuit over a 2020 stunt and whose Vlog Squad has faced sexual assault allegations." - Mona Holmes

Google
Been a huge fan of the vlog squad for a long time and have been wanting to try this pizza since it opened. We drove to West Hollywood to try it and had a great experience. Gil served us and was very hospitable. He welcomed us and let us have a surprise pizza party, if you know you know!! My boyfriend and I split a cheesy bread which was my favorite thing tbh, especially dipped in ranch. I also really liked my pizza slices, the cheese was good and the spicy vodka was good too. But that cheesy bread was fantastic, WOW! We got to eat outside overlooking west sunset boulevard which was lovely around sunset! Parking was tough but we got lucky!

Google
Although there isnt any indoor dining, the outdoor patio was cool. If you're into people watching the main street gives you plenty of that. As for the pizza... WOW it was delicious.. The crust full of flavor, the right amount of sauce and cheese with the mini pepperoni *chefs kiss* and of course the customer service 👌 very polite, very friendly and knew his pizza 5 stars imo!

Dave M.

Google
It was my daughters and I that went to checkout the place since we love pizza. We drove from South Central LA to try it out and it was worth the drive for sure. Pizza was good and unique with the hot honey and if you love pizza like I do, you know pineapple goes on pizza. So I definitely tried the honey on the pizza. Place is for sure hearted on my google maps my daughters said “ when are we coming back.” So would recommend to check out.

Google
Gil was incredible! It was my first time here and he made the experience amazing. He showed us the dance party area, gave great recommendations, and made us feel so welcome. Super kind and genuinely helpful — whoever put him in charge knew what they were doing!

Jocelyn C.

Google
My siblings and I got there before they opened and even before they opened one of their employees (ARIELLE) was welcoming us and once they opened she made our first experience eating here so magical! I genuinely enjoyed the food and the customer service was AMAZING! Arielle definitely needs a raise because she went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. David if you see this please give that girl a raise she’s making your business seem like a welcoming place to be at. Food 10/10 customer service 100/10 and atmosphere 11/10.

Diego A.

Google
Gil and Vanessa helped us with our amazing pizza party 10/10 would deffinetly recommend. Ps David your employees speak very highly of you which means you must treat them amazingly keep it up and this will soon become franchised.

Nathan G.

Google
Gill was the best ever! We had a pizza party with him and gave us such an experience that we’ll never forget. After he gave us a gold coin that started the party, he let us try new chips made by David himself!!!!!!! I can’t wait for them to come out cause I only have half a bag left and they are too delicious to not live without!

Abby H.

Google
Gil and Vanessa were AMAZING. Immediate service and we got to experience the coolest pizza party with them! Pizza was delicious and very appetizing!! Definitely would come back again when we come to visit Cali again! As Vegas people coming to get pizza it was so SOO GOOD! again amazing service, amazing people, amazing Food.

Logan D.

Yelp
Service was great with little to no wait time. Highly recommend the pepperoni pizza. Gill was awesome and happy to serve us! Would definitely love to come back!

Yelp
This was on my list for try out. Pizza was amazing I tried the cheese pizza slice I loved it so much came back to get the whole pie . The pizza is exactly like the name of the place it's nice thick and soft dough it's layered with thick cheese on top . I don't even want to know the calories will be a zillion of them . Place has a cool vibe friendly staff clean and delicious. Late night food fix love it . Hope they had more veggie toppings and add gluten free and vegan options . @lavibe2020

Yelp
Definitely a hyped up place for pizza, especially being located on Sunset Blvd. We ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni, Spicy Vodka & Supreme slices--I'll say that they were pretty tasty, BUT the wait time caused the quality to go down since it wasn't hot when we received our order. Also dressings/dips are an extra charge. The atmosphere is cool, seating is outside but is very limited. We got lucky getting stool seating with the street view. Service was okay, very transactional. Would I come here again? Maybe-- when the hype calms down & can get fresh quality pizza. Always willing to give businesses a second chance.

Yelp
After watching a show at the Comedy Store, we looked for a place nearby to grab some food to take back to our hotel. This place is open 'til 3AM on Fridays and Saturdays, so we decided to stop by and try it out. THE FOOD. - Cheese Pizza. Not super cheesy, but the crust was crispy and chewy. - Pepperoni Pizza. Crispy cup-like pepperoni. It was good, but not the best I've had. THE PARKING. Street and on-site parking are available. THE RETURN. For late night grub, I'd come back to try other pizzas.
google avatar

Najeya K.

Yelp
I wasn't a fan of the pizzas. I really wanted to like this spot but the pizza marinara sauce is not nearly as flavorful as I thought it would be. The chicken on my pizza had this empty taste, as if the chicken wasn't seasoned. The pizza was super soggy on the bottom & for a deep dish styled pizza I expect the bottom to be a little crispy. The ranch is horrid. Watery ranch. Usually a good ranch good fix a bad pizza but it somehow made it worse. This is an easy fix so hopefully they look into this. On the positive side, the workers were so friendly & the music was upbeat.
google avatar

Julie D.

Yelp
I'm so glad I live close to here that I can go whenever I want. Every slice I've had has been stupid good
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
I wanted to see what the hype was and honestly, it was underwhelming. Firstly, the service was nothing to rave about; I didn't feel welcomed but the workers weren't mean to me either. In fact, they did not hesitate to accommodate me- by offering another slice- when I found a piece of hair on my pizza. Although it's unprofessional to find a hair in my food, I did appreciate them going out of their way to make my visit better. As for the taste, it's a decent pizza but nothing really wow'ed me. I got a chicken bacon ranch pizza that had nice flavor but it was just super greasy! I also enjoyed how the end crust has a simple crunch to it. Other than that, I don't think it was worth it for the price. Overall, I think for a pizza made by an influencer, I expected something that's better quality/:

Yelp
Doughbrik's pizza is the place for pizza lovers who are open to trying different styles of yummy deep dish pies! I have been to this location many times and will continue going and referring people as i have not found another place that can compare or beat. Staff is very friendly and helps with any questions or concerns. Plenty of seating area and with catchy music outside you definitely get a fun L.A vibe. Parking is small so finding a spot can be tricky but if you look further down you can find a place to park. I look forward to when new flavor slices are available but you can't go wrong with the original honey pepperoni or the vodka slice as well! Enjoy and bon appetite!
google avatar

Christine K.

Yelp
Husband and I are visiting LA for the week from Ohio. Wanted to try every single slice of pizza! The dough is so yummy and fluffy! Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area! The staff are sooo sweet, they gave me a coin to click the pizza party button!
google avatar

Iris J.

Yelp
Honestly, I was expecting to be disappointed when my teen dragged me to Doughbrik's Pizza on Sunset, but I was pleasantly surprised. We happened to get lucky and found street parking near the front, but I can definitely see how parking might be an issue. We walked in and had to wait in a short line, no biggie. When I got to the front the cashier was courteous and he took my order accurately. It came out to a little more than $20 for two slices and breadsticks. We received our order just a few minutes later and it was accurate. The food was surprisingly good. The ranch pizza was our favorite of the items we ordered. The quality was comparable to a deep dish at Little Cesar's, which I don't hate. So overall I liked the meal and the price point was okay... any higher and I probably wouldn't bother. But if in the area and the parking was right, I'd return.
google avatar

Jenny J.

Yelp
I came here at 1:30am and it was my first time trying their pizza and I gotta say I love it. The texture of the bread feels like a some soft and crispy flatbread plus warm/hot. I love it and I ordered a spicy vodka cheese and it really hit the spot!! I would be back for more especially since this place opens late. At this hour all their chairs are on top of the table so you just gotta grab it to go. Please add me on Yelp if you like my vibe or even add my IG @eatwithjennime tysm
google avatar

Susan W.

Yelp
I'm always looking for the best pizza wherever I go--Passed by Doughbrik's and decided to stop by for a late night slice. I ordered the hot honey pepperoni square slice which was recommended. (My rating is mainly for the regular cheese or pepperoni slices/pies in order to keep the reviews consistent) Taste: 7/10 | The pizza was good given how it was advertised--doughy, greasy, and flavorful. The crust is definitely thick and doughy. Price: 5/10 | Currently $6.50 for a slice of pizza which is on the pricier side. Vibe: 7.5/10 | Cute spot with some outdoor seating and limited parking spots right outside.
google avatar

James J.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with pepperoni pizza thats open til 3am. I like the pepperoni because it has a sweetness to it. The thickness is the best for those that dont really like thin pizzas.
google avatar

Joshua H.

Yelp
Lame they closed early and had no pizza. I have been a few times now. I love the hot honey pepperoni pizza, I will be back for that slice...probably forever. BUT... it was lame this time. They closed early and had no pizza. If I worked/owned a pizza joint on Sunset blvd...I would always have pizza ready until after we closed. That's just me. It's always busy with sunset tower and saddle ranch nearby. I don't understand why they aren't stocked up.
google avatar

Connor Y.

Yelp
Doughbrik's is a cool little pizza shop in Hollywood. The service was ok it takes longer to get a single slice than a whole pizza. That didn't make sense to me. The hot honey was good, the slices were a lot thicker than I expected. The pepperoni were good and the hot honey is a nice addition to it. But it's ok. The meat lovers felt like it was lacking flavor which is kinda of ironic because thought it would be way better than the pepperoni. But a lot of the meat was lacking flavor. The Hawaiian was the best of the bunch it had the best flavor by far and the ham tasted fresh and good.
google avatar

Emilio H.

Yelp
A real neat little spot. The decor is contemporary and everything is kept clean and well organized. I tried several different slices, but my favorite was the honey hot. The staff was friendly and prepared our order very fast.
google avatar

Lauren B.

Yelp
if i could give this place more than 5 stars i would. my boyfriend insisted we stop while visiting LA since he is a fan of David's and i'm so glad we did. we had the hot honey pepperoni, vodka, and chicken bacon ranch and they were divine. the chicken bacon ranch had to be our favorite even though i'm a die hard pepperoni fan. and the ranch was incredible. coming from the midwest i know good ranch and this was good ranch. come to doughbrik's if you're in la!!!! i don't think you can get pizza like this anywhere else.
google avatar

Vivian B.

Yelp
My niece joined me for a late night bite upon my arrival into CA. Although I've driven past this place several times over the years, it wasn't until this visit I noticed they were there. The biggest challenge is parking. Cost, flavor and service was all good. A great place to go for a midnight snack. Seating is limited as well but this is not a place designed for lingering. The cutest thing is the disco light button. There's other interesting items to enjoy, which I'll likely check out on my next visit.
google avatar

Kelly S.

Yelp
Small pizza joint known for partnering with celebrities to create a pizza with their favorite flavors and toppings. Parking can be a pain when it's busy on the weekend since it's located in a prime location near the bars and restaurants. I ordered a slice of hot honey pepperoni. If you like doughy pizza, this hits the spot. The only thing I'd change is that there was a bit too much oil on the pizza.
google avatar

P M.

Yelp
Service is great, everyone was very nice. Pizza taste was good, but it hardly had any sauce or cheese. One thing they need to change, put some more sauce and cheese on the bread. Use like 15 packs of Parmesan cheese just to have some cheese on it. Tell David Dobrik.
google avatar

Helen R.

Yelp
Pizza was good! I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had but I did like the spicy vodka the best. The employees were also very friendly and did a little dance party with my nephew and I really appreciated it. I went the weekend of Coachella so it was not packed and it was nice to sit out front.
google avatar

Victoria T.

Yelp
Pizza was okay and too overhyped. Tight parking lot and street parking with limited seating. Very limited menu and overpriced. Took a while to get our order ~30 minutes. Probably a good chill spot for late night but with parking constraints, probably won't come back.
google avatar

Alyssa W.

Yelp
Tried Dough Bricks Pizza recently and it was a fun experience but overall more of a novelty. The presentation is definitely unique and worth checking out once but the actual pizza was just okay. Nothing that really wowed me. Cool to try but not something I would go out of my way for again.
google avatar

Maurice F.

Yelp
1st time here. Love the thick pepperoni and there hot honey pepperoni is 1 of the best I have. Forgot to take a picture of hot honey. Only has seating outside and small parking lot.
google avatar

Susie D.

Yelp
I mean, it was open and there, and that's about as good as it gets. The cheese had zero flavor. I mean, ZERO. it was just a greasy clump of dough. Hot honey pep obviously had more, but the dough was so dense, it only served to fill up the empty space in the belly at whatever hour in the night it was.
google avatar

Jaime S.

Yelp
Horrible service said they weren't serving the whole pizza because he's the only worker available. Drove 1hr 30 min to try it for them not to have it. Offer single slices but would cost more. Don't get it. I have a family of 6. Not recommended to anyone pizza parlor but no pizza like whaaaat??? *didn't purchase any pizza
google avatar

Aarshi M.

Yelp
This was a blast and the person at the counter was so jolly and wanted to just do so many pizza parties with us where we jammed to Mama Mia. Overall the pizza was fantastic!
google avatar

Lindsey H.

Yelp
The pizza was decent, and they had a nice deal going for a slice and a drink, which was a great value. It's close to my office, so I decided to give it a try, and I'd definitely return. Nothing extraordinary, but for the price and convenience, it's a solid option for a quick bite.
google avatar

Lou M.

Yelp
I mean..... it was alright. Thanks for being open at 1:30am. I got the vodka slice and the bacon ranch slice. Both good. I was happy. Derived was great too.
google avatar

Sasha A.

Yelp
Got hot honey & "pizza of month" buffalo chicken slice and both were good, but the hot honey isn't hot at all...so I'm not entirely sure why it's called that. I would just called it a pepperoni and honey slice. I liked how the prices of the slushies were very reasonable! Our cashier was super nice as well. NOTE: Came here only because my friend from out of town wanted to do the pizza token/dance party thingy. You must buy a full pizza to get the "token"
google avatar

Mylinda T.

Yelp
Understaffed. Okay prices, only pizza that was really special was the hot honey everything else was mediocre. Nothing specific honestly. plenty of seating outside and no indoor seating.

Courtney S.

Yelp
Came down from the Bay Area for a weekend trip - had to stop by and try David Dobrik's pizza joint. It did not disappoint! Hot honey was our favorite out of the bunch. The crew working was friendly and the Manager assisted us when we needed help. Would visit again.
google avatar

Chan Y.

Yelp
Came across Doughbrik's Pizza recently while on Sunset Strip. Thick Chicago style pan fried pizzas. Had the Meat Lovers and the Buffalo Chicken. Very satisfying and heavy slices. Enjoyed all the way down to the crust, dipping in ranch dressing.
google avatar

Anson L.

Yelp
Absolute trash. Food is not good. Service was okay and ambiance was good but the food is just not there.
google avatar

Edith J.

Yelp
Pizza was okay, nothing special. I personally like a thinner pizza. Service was quick and outdoor sitting was available.
google avatar

Stephen S.

Yelp
Everything could improve . I just came back from NY and this product isn't pizza . The vodka pizza has no sauce on it not sure why they don't put any sauce . Usually I'll love a vodka square slice . Dough is too heavy and dry .this YouTuber just doesn't know pizza

Katara A.

Yelp
Very good place. Pizza is awesome. The service was amazing. Pizza was Good was hot && ready to go. We got a souvenir token.
google avatar

Esther K.

Yelp
i didn't know david dobrik got cancelled???¿¿ i dont watch his content but was in the area and stopped by with a friend. there was also a good handful of people i thought it would've been empty. surprisingly i really liked my chicken barbecue pizza but $7 for a slice is bit much lol like $5 max. i mean its a youtuber's pizza spot but still bruh. i personally really like chewy/ doughy bread so i loved it and dipped in the ranch was fireeee. it was cool 8/10!
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
I came in on a Friday at around 3:20 and luckily I was able to find parking in the small parking lot in the back. However do note that at around a certain time there is a guy who comes and starts putting up cones to block them off, I have no idea what that was about but he wanted me to leave my spot. There is no inside seating and it was cold so I was in my car. As for the service, it was fast. However, I was expecting a coin for an ice cream or the dance party option but I think they stopped doing that? I guess I missed the memo. I paid $7.44 for a slice of the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza and a side of ranch. You are in Hollywood so the prices are not that pretty. Since the pizza is on the thicker side I did expect it to be dry but the honey and ranch saved it. Overall I think the pizza is good.
google avatar

Al V.

Yelp
Perfect name for this place. A BRICK of DOUGH topped with inferior tasteless sauce and cheese. This pizza is only good if you are stumbling down Sunset Blvd at 2:30am and you need some food. Other than that in the light of day the pizza is horrible.

Meleny T.

Yelp
I just wanted to shout out the absolute best worker, Gill! It was our first time trying Doughbrik's Pizza, and we enjoyed everything! We tried the Hot Honey Pepperoni pizza which was so yummy! Gill made our day by being so welcoming and kind! He also asked if we were David Dobrik fans, which we absolutely are, and he gave us a little gift! These chips were super good, can't wait to get some more. Overall 10/10 the new chips, the pizza, and the overall ambiance!
google avatar

John E.

Yelp
I grew up in NY so I'm very particular about what I call "pizza". After a show and a few drinks I was walking past and thought a slice would be good to soak up the alcohol. Place was clean, line was short, every kind of pizza they make was hot and fresh. I got a slice of spicy vodka and chicken (not ranch ) pizza and asked them NOT to heat it up because is meant to be hot only once in its life. The spicy vodka was the definite winner and was really good. This is more like pizza hut or dominos style but everything was flavorful and fresh. Thanks Doughbriks -- and take down that ice cream sign already.
google avatar

Eric G.

Yelp
Doughbrik's gets 5 stars for simply being themselves and nothing more. The hot honey pepperoni is simply amazing. Sweet, savory, crunchy, pillowy and honestly the crust is what sold it for me. The crust is like Detroit and Sicilian fused together and the burnt cheese on the crust reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese breadsticks. If you know you know. The veggie pesto slice was ok but I did order cheese bread sticks and the cheese pull was on point. And did I forget to mention that they have a ICEE machine? Unfortunately the raspberry was down so I couldn't mix with the cherry but still bomb. The customer service is good and the there's only outside seating. The only downside is the parking as it is extremely limited so try ubering if you can or you might wait 10-15 minutes for parking to open up. All in all, Doughbrik's is in a league of its own
google avatar

Kevin P.

Yelp
Super doughy, good for if you're starving or drunk, but not much else. David should probably stick to vlogging

Isabel V.

Yelp
Our first time coming here we drove all the way from Fontana ca , & let me just say the pizza is bomb it was a solid 10 for me however the prices for just one slice is a little crazy. The 2 guys working there I wish I would've gotten their names were soooo welcoming and so nice ! So overall service was amazing as well ! I recommend coming to eat a slice of pizza here
google avatar

Clarissa N.

Yelp
Definitely hate the location due to the difficulty of finding street parking. It is a bit overpriced for just once slice of pizza as well. They need to bring back the spicy vodka pizza! It was the perfect amount of spice to it and last time I went they replaced it with some pasta pizza which didn't seem as appetizing. The pepperoni pizza was also good with the hot honey drizzle. Nothing WOW but still a good thick pizza if you like that.
google avatar

Janan D.

Yelp
Late night, thick crusts, amazing honey with that little kick to make your tastebuds cling for dear life to that beautiful taste of honeybees pollinating your insides, and just amazing I got the spicy vodka slice and it was sooooo friggin good. I love saucy stuff and this is hecka saucy. Got that umami taste or whatever you call it. I drenched, dipped, licked all the hot honey I could. My hands got so messy that I knew I had made a mess and felt guilty like a child who accidentally got into a can of paint at home and their parents recorded it and sent it to America's funniest videos. Do you see how many pepperonis there are on those 2 slice? Probably could qualify for the Guinness world record with that number. It was about 6 to 6.50 a slice We came here around 1am, perfect time for a pizza slice. Limited options but these two are perfect. It was pretty crowded, tons of people eating outside and a big line inside, but it moves quickly. Restroom, if needed, is located in the back parking lot and needs a key to enter.

Sean A.

Yelp
Fat slab of dough. Not too heavy thankfully but the toppings were really not helping. Service is quick, reheating slices perfectly. Spicy Vodka had little to no sauce and really just a little bit of cheese on top of bread. Bacon chicken ranch was a good idea in concept but the sauce had this odd viscosity and was overly sweet, like it had sweet cream in it. It was offputting. Parking is difficult, price is high per slice. No restroom in sight if you want to wash up. If you want a quick bite late night there are few options. Otherwise, I suggest keep moving.

Kayleigh J.

Yelp
if i could give this a 10/5 i definitely would quite literally the best pizza ive ever had and only pizza i'll crave from now on. The honey on the pepperoni was AMAZING also tried the vodka one and the chicken bacon ranch one. all were delicious! we got the pleasure of being served by Gil and he was so kind and helpful! outstanding service from Gil:) i'll definitely be coming back
