Food was pretty disappointing, got the 2 meat plate which was $28, $30 with tax. Came with 2 meats, 2 sides, a small cup of bbq sauce and a piece of toast. Had to ask for pickles/onions.
Brisket -3/10- Looked kind of sad and was dry and very little fat, smokiness was ok
Sausage -5/10- Looked better and had good flavor, bit on the spicier side. Was also pretty dry though
Mac and cheese-4/10- Tasted like Velveeta with soft noodles, not a whole lot else going on flavor wise
Cheesy red potatoes-6.5/10- One of the better things on the plate, tad greasy but good flavor and texture. Nice cheesy-ness and had some other seasoning as well
Sauce-6/10- Good flavor, not too sweet but was kinda runny
Toast-6.5/10- Pretty standard but decent amount of butter, bread used for it was nothing special
Asked for ribs but apparently were sold out. The cynical side of me also suspect they do the toast to not have to give you more bread but also didn't ask for more bread even though I wanted some.
Overall wouldn't recommend, especially for the price. You could maybe get something else to get it more reasonable cost wise for lunch and maybe I'll try something different but expected better. If you charge premium bbq prices I expect a higher level of bbq.
