5 Questions With Angus Zou Of Draft Land On Serving Cocktails On Tap

"Drawing attention through a partnership with celebrated mixologist Antonio Lai, this branch follows Draft Land’s guidelines for service, design, and offerings but, being twice the size of the Taiwan outpost, pours 24 beverages; since its March grand opening the reaction has been positive, and the menu adapts to local tastes by blending classics like yuenyeung and iced lemon tea into mixology, with the team ready to address cultural-difference-driven shortcomings and even share those flavors with Taipei next season." - MICHELIN Guide Taipei Editorial Team

They served a Ceylon Sour that’s normally a light brown and translucent, but the one I got was clearly from the bottom of the barrel. The bartender insisted it was fine, but it was extremely bitter, likely filled with leftover lemon bits that had settled. This was unacceptable — poor consistency and little regard for customers. Do not expect good service from this bar

- Good for cocktails with tea as ingredient. However, almost all alcoholic drinks are weak. - Could be crowded during weekend. If no seats are available, they will let you stand inside or outside the shop. - Price is on the high side. - Staff are not the friendly type.

The cocktail options are quite interesting, with over ten options available. However, both my friend's cocktail and mine were weak in alcohol flavor; the base was not very prominent, making the overall experience rather mediocre. The snack options are limited and on the pricey side (with small portions). It seems there are no happy hour prices for the drinks, so overall, it doesn't feel very worthwhile. The atmosphere is calm and comfortable, perfect for chatting and drinking with friends. The space feels reasonably spacious, and the service from the staff is excellent.

Cosy bar with interesting selections of cocktail on tap. Most of the cocktails have an element of Asian ingredients like yuzu, oolong tea, chrysanthemum, etc. Recommended if you're looking for something different. Service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was chill and not too noisy so it's good place to catch up too.

I like the vibe here, and they were quickly way to serve the drinks, ofc, because they are on tap. I was there on Sunday night so there are not too crowded like I passed by on Sat night.

Cocktails were AMAZING! We sat looking at the street and enjoyed an amazing afternoon. Recommend: Guk Bo (pu erh and chrysanthemum) and Sour as the less sweet options. Taipei style fries were yum though i would have loved thicker fries.

Great drinks and based on the crowd seems like many are aligned with me. Would be better if they had more space for patrons to sit.

Lively, heaps of people and the drinks selection is very interesting! Wife and I had 4 drinks in total. Good experience.
