Stay a few weekends here, overall a great vibe at the hotel. The lobby was super cool. Very nice floral garden that leads to the pool area. Felt like a paradise within the concrete jungle of NYC.

Love this hotel. I feel always taken care of. Rooms are clean and very cool. Staff friendly. LOVE the location, always go to Chelsea Market AND Starbucks Reserve. Never wait too long for Uber.||Love the breakfast. I recommend highly this hotel!

An adequate hotel. The location is great and the front desk service is friendly but there is always a line waiting. The rooms are small, but the big problem is that the bathroom is small and has no sound proofing. There is actually a hole in the bathroom door for the handle - a really bad design choice! The rooms also smell dank partly because they turn off the air by default everyday and the bathroom exhaust is poor or non existent. The carpet looks old and not very clean (maybe it is, but a hard floor would seem cleaner). The space around the bathroom sink is minimal (way too little for two people). The shower curtain is inadequate and the water takes far longer to heat up than any modern toilet shower. There is a furry seat in the bedroom which also does not look great. A simple room which felt obviously clean would be better. A bathroom that seals properly and decent space around the sink would be big improvements.

The location was truly exceptional, thanks to both the prime location and the incredible staff service. The setting itself was ideal, making it convenient for our needs and allowing us to fully enjoy our time there. However, what really stood out to us was the high level of professionalism and kindness demonstrated by the staff throughout our stay.||In particular, we had the pleasure of being assisted by Jay, who was nothing short of outstanding.

Last minute stay at the hotel due to a canceled flight. The rates seemed reasonable. Staff seemed helpful and accommodating. The lobby has a weird smell to it, regardless of time of day. Not sure what it was. Hotel has nice artsy touches but feels a little dingy and dated, particularly in the hallways leading to the rooms. The room I had was spacious with a balcony. Appreciated the high ceilings. The room didn't have basic amenities. No coffee maker, no cups or glasses by the sink.

The staff is INCREDIBLE!!! They go above and beyond for guests and ensure your stay is PERFECT!! Rosie was AMAZING!!! Absolutely beautiful hotel with insane nightclub and relaxing lobby bar. Thank you for a WONDERFUL stay!!!!! I will definitely be returning for another NYC getaway!!!!

If you love Chelsea this is amazing. The view from my room was beautiful and the staff was so kind and friendly. There is a beautiful bar and coffee shop. Not to mention the pool. The only thing I didn't like but was okay with is the bed is platform and very low, other then that beautiful and recommend the location and hotel.

I recently stayed at the Dream Downtown Hyatt and had an incredible experience, thanks to their outstanding security team. I accidentally misplaced my phone in the laundry bin, and the swift and professional response from the security team left me truly impressed. As soon as I reported the issue, the security team, more specifically Jose sprang into action without delay. They meticulously searched the laundry area and ensured every possible spot was checked. Throughout the process, the team remained calm, courteous, and focused on resolving the issue. They kept me updated on their progress, providing reassurance and transparency. Thanks to their diligent efforts, my phone was found and returned to me promptly. The security team at the Dream Downtown Hyatt demonstrated exceptional dedication and efficiency. Their commitment to guest satisfaction and security is commendable. Highly recommended!

Recently completed my stay at the Hyatt dream hotel nyc 16th street. What was initially described as a $600 incidental hold ended up being $250 worth of "facility" fees (~$50/day). Needless to say this will affect any future stays at this establishment. #buyerbeware #NYTimes #Hyatt

Stylish hotel and like everyone said, it's perfect if you go to the social club next door or the club on the rooftop. I'm grateful that I got a room on the 7th floor, which was far enough from the rooftop and the social club. My office is 2 blocks away so everyone who comes to the city stays at this hotel. I feel bad for my coworkers who got rooms on the 10th floor and above, they couldn't sleep. The room is stylish (just like everywhere else in the hotel). There's also a fridge, which is a very rare finding these days. The light switches are hilariously complicated; my coworkers and I couldn't agree on what each button means. I really like how close it is to the subway entrance (less than a block). You can take the E line to Jamaica Sutphin and transfer to the Airtrain to get to JFK. Pretty sure you'll get to the airport faster that way than taking Uber. I wouldn't mind staying here again, but will make sure I stay on the "right" floor.

This is a fantastic hotel in a great neighborhood and conveniently located to getting around lower Manhattan. I was in a pinch last minute where my friend could not host me so I found this hotel for a reasonable price (under $300/night for 2 nights). It is one block from a train station and close to many bus routes. The location is safe and close to restaurants and other attractions. It was a little difficult to find the front entrance. There are several door next to one another. The entrance to Dream are two big brown doors. The inside has an art gallery, a bar, and a restaurant before you reach the front desk. I was able to check in early (around 1 PM) and was offered a room on the 10th floor. Apparently there is a nightclub on an upper floor, so I was cautioned about noise. I didn't care, and truly the noise wasn't too bad. The bed was so comfortable I had no trouble sleeping. The blinds closed tightly and kept out light. The bathroom was modern and clean. There was a mini fridge in the room, but it was stocked with weight-sensored items so it was difficult to put my own items to refrigerate. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Not a huge fan of this place. Pros: My office branch was down the street and it's super close to all the fun thingies in Chelsea market Bed was comfortable Water pressure was actually excellent Housekeeping folks are friendly Cons: Room was in meh shape. I got in and walked through a dark spot on the carpet that was also wet. Yuck! Called downstairs and all they'd suggest is they'll have housekeeping "look at it" , no offer to switch my room or apology. Gross!! Also tv would stop working when you select a show. Called that one in as well, they sent someone to "look at it" and well that seems to be all they did, literally. No "do not disturb signs" which is a first for me in a hotel. Secure your valuables leaving during the day. Very few utilities like coffee machines. Even motel 6 level places have that. At least it has toiletries. Weird appliances and fixtures, like the strange faucet that lets out water from the middle of the faucet, to the unsecured ladder in the bathroom that hold your towels and threatens to fall every time you remove one. Very little counter space on this post modern sink. Gym was kind of cramped in equipment, devoid of humans, in a really random spot and tbh sorta creepy in the evening If you're a light sleeper be warned you will hear honking, reversing box trucks going beep, and racing vehicles late night. Pro tip - hate loud music? The club is upstairs on the roof but lower floors get the road noise.

Our family stayed for a week in this hotel and had fairly good experience. The location is great as it is with walkable distance to subway. It's also very close to Chelsea market with lots of dining options. There are also several restaurants from different cuisines (Asian, American, etc). The hotel is very modern with NFT decorations on the wall & modern arts all over the lobby. We booked 2 different rooms as we added a night due to change of plan. For 1st night, we booked a queen room but the receptionist manager (Mr. Irtiza) was very kind to upgrade our room to king sized one. The room was on the 5th floor that was accessed via the front elevators. It was pretty small (but I guess it's quite customary in New York). The room has very modern decorations & bathroom. When we stayed on Saturday night, the room was super noisy. We could hear the sound from the night club next door and lots of honking and people shouting at midnight. Fortunately, we only stayed for a night. Our second room (that we stayed for almost a week) was a king sized bed with larger square footage. It was on 6th floor via the back elevator of the building. It has big round windows overlooking Empire State building & The Edge. This larger room was more comfortable for our family as we still had space after putting our big luggages. The bed was a bit soft for us but we managed to get a good sleep. This room was quieter but we could still hear some sound from the night club on Sunday & Friday night (not as bad as the previous room). The reception staffs were friendly, especially Mr. Irtiza (the manager) who always greeted us when we passed by. The house keeper was courteous and cleaned the room very well. Our experience was more like 3.5 stars (due to the noise & also extra resort fee). Otherwise, the hotel & staffs were good.

We stayed at the dream downtown Saturday night to a Sunday in March. I thought it was pretty nice. Our room was clean and tidy. Our bathroom was clean with towels and had had the usual hygiene necessities. Our room was 319 at night. I did hear the music slightly, but it wasn't overwhelming. Our view was very nice. Looking at the pool friendly very close and convenient to Chelsea market, Whitney Museum and Highline. When were slightly larger than other rooms that I've been in in New York City bed was comfortable pillows, comfy I would definitely stay there again

What the facilities lack, the staff makes up for and then some. I first stayed in a queen room that was TINY and felt almost clinical, like a fancy hospital room with way too many mirrors. The door to the bathroom is incredibly heavy. Some things you'd expect in a 4.5 star hotel were oddly absent, like an ice bucket and clean drinking glasses. However when I called the front desk inquiring about finding ice, I was brought an entire bucket of shaved ice and a champagne flute. Shaved ice is always amazing. The next night (tonight) I moved to the king room. So far much better feeling in the room. The front desk made sure to change the room from the top floor to a lower floor, as they said it would be super loud due to the rooftop club. The front desk was so helpful especially Anthony P. Very kind and respectful. Sadly the pool is not as big and grand as pictured. It's also super crowded. Not a hotel to stay in if you actually want to swim. But stand in a pool and party this is your spot. Again the staff was super nice. Amit brought me towels personally. Soto was very helpful in getting set up and Emma at the bar made an amazing coffee cocktail upon request.

On my 4th night and honestly the struggle is real. For the past 3 nights I've not been able to get the bathroom lights to turn off. Neither have any of the mechanics who have come to my room. Each night they have to shut ALL the lights off in my room. Each morning I've gone down to ask them to fix the issue while I'm at work and they've assured me each night it's fixed. Tonight I got back super late and guess what still doesn't work? So now I'm here typing in the dark. Thankfully the wifi (which has been out for the past hour) is back on so I can finish my work on my phone... In the dark... they also said each night they would send a water up to accommodate the inconvenience.. still haven't even received a measly water bottle. Not to mention when I arrived there was only a bar of soap in the bathroom. If I didn't have showers at work I would have been screwed. Don't recommend and won't be back. Still have to slog through three more nights... But in a different room (or so they've said ). Will update here if they actually move my room and things get resolved.

Horrible!! The hotel is located in front of a delivery/receiving dock to another building so lots of noise 24/7 yes all day and night. The food at the hotel taste like BUTT. $500 per night definitely not worth it. STAY AWAY!!!

Super fun pool with everything you need and great service. Just what I needed to relax. Will be back for sure.

It was OK, I wouldn't say it was a fantastic place for a fantastic price. Coming from New York and going back to New York, I'm a little offended at the rates that they charge for practically nothing. They don't give you anything except for a bed and a shower. There's no extras, there's no coffee, there's no breakfast. They nickel and dime for every little thing. I've had better sleeps in my car. Luckily for me, there's over 1000 hotels in Manhattan. If you like snobbish, this is your location.

Loud, noisy hotel with a surprise $150/day activity fee. The music blares all day long from the lobby, pool, and night club and carries to the rooms. It is impossible to get a good night's sleep. The rooms are small and lack basic amenities such as a coffee maker, water, glasses, outlets by the bed, wash clothes. My room wasn't cleaned for 3 days! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!

This hotel is designed horribly - from a lack of outlets in the guest rooms to the $57/night resort fee (for a pool which I only found out is 21+ upon check in). Additionally I felt very unsafe when a man unexpectedly knocked on my door at 2 pm and said "facilities". I responded that we did not call facilities and he just went and knocked at the next room. No one answered the front desk phone when I called twice. There are much better options in NYC.

Could not be set up worse. No lights by the bed. Have to walk across the room to turn anything on or off. No outlets by the bed NOR by the desk. Only ONE in the room at the low baseboard on the opposite wall from the bed-bizarre. (& one in the bathroom) I'll never come back. Even room service was Like getting a bag from some street vendor.

While searching for hotels in NYC, Dream was one of the cheaper options. After looking at the pics, I decided to book this hotel. The parking directions were clear on the website but parking is $60 per day. Locating the hotel was a little difficult because the signage does not stand out. Look at the pictures for the outside of the building then look for that when visiting. The lobby was very modern with lots of decor. Our room was small but I'm assuming that's normal for NYC. It was small but it was all we needed. A bed and a bathroom. I loved the circle windows and our view was AMAZING! We were looking right at the Empire State building!! At night, it was even more beautiful. Our room was on the 7th floor and we didn't hear much road traffic. A honk every now and then but it wasn't horrible. The beds were not the hardest but I woke up stiff every morning. At night, we noticed people enjoying the bar which looked like they had a nice selection. Chelsea Market was a 2 min walk away which was SO NICE. It was literally around the corner. Perfect location to stay if you want to stay in the Chelsea neighborhood. Let's just say The Dream was not a dream. We originally booked at The Intercontinental in Times Square for my granddaughters 16th birthday. She decided she'd rather be in a hotel with a pool. Her godmother suggested this place as she had stayed here before. Big mistake. The place is a dump in need of a major renovation. I don't need to say anymore. Don't waste your money.

Please avoid this hotel at all costs. This place is like what a Motel 6 must be like. The hotel room was very tiny. The terrace door would not lock shut. The towels smelled like body odor, clearly not replaced from the previous guest, I had to request fresh towels. No bottled water in the room. The shower flooded the bathroom when I used it. No place to put your toiletries once you are in the shower. The hotel room was dirty. This has to be the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I was so disgusted I literally cut my weekend short and checked out the very next morning. This hotel is a complete dump and complete garbage, avoid the Dream Hotel at all costs. The hotel manager is unprofessional and outright nasty, but I will say that the other staff were quite lovely. Sadly, the nice staff could not outweigh the terrible guest experience. I felt like I needed a tetanus shot after checking out. This is like a $300 a night place, hardly five star, however, so I was not expecting the Crosby or Edition, but this was a lot. They should rename this hotel the Nightmare Hotel because this experience was hardly a dream. Avoid this hotel and learn from my mistake. One and done, never again.

Dream Downtown is a stylish hotel in a great location. The rooms are comfortable and the the whole place has a great artsy vibe. Unfortunately it also hosts a rooftop nightclub (till 4AM) so you may not get to dream until after that. We were several floors below the roof, but could hear the base until early every morning. It also means that each evening the lobby is packed with club kids so if you're looking for a quiet, romantic drink after dinner, plan to elsewhere.

The Dream Downtown hotel should have been called The Nightmare downtown hotel. My husband & I were visiting inlaws in CT & wanted tl do a quick 1 night stay in NYC which we have often done. OMG, it was the worse night ever. When we arrived, we were told the pool would be closed the next entire day for a private event. It juat went down hill from there. It was a Wed nite but the club upstairs was so loud that the entire room in the 11th floor shook. Music didnt stop until almost 4am. Worse experience ever

This is truly a horrible hotel. All "style" and no substance. And that's style without an ounce of good design. I stayed here on a business trip because it was the only hotel this close to my workplace with rooms left, and now I know why. As noted in other reviews, everything about their room lighting a disaster. I have to go to the bed to turn off the bathroom light. I have to go to the front door to turn off the light above the bed. That bed light is a bare bulb in clear glass, piercing directly into your eyeballs. For some reason there is a television speaker in the bathroom, so when I tried to mute my tv to take a call, I had to then go into the bathroom to turn off the sound! What universe am I in?! There is a single small drawer for clothing, which I can only open four inches because the closet door is obstructed by the hinges of the front door. There is a ladder rack in the bathroom but no other towel bars or hooks to avoid tracking water across the bathroom after a shower. The shower curtain is chain mail which looks ridiculous with a cheap shower liner behind it. The only other time I stayed here a few years ago, there was no hot water from the shower for all three mornings - only in the evenings. I figured that was an anomaly but now I wish I had known to take it for the bad omen that it turned out to be. Tonight I am trying to sleep with bass pounding from the club two floors above me. Until 4AM they tell me. They also tell me they only "occasionally" get complaints which I now see is blatantly false from these reviews. They suggested I am only disturbed because I'm a "light sleeper," which would set my partner off in guffaws. If management responds to this review they will say I declined their offer for a room change or earplugs, which is true. But that doesn't negate the inexcusable practice of not informing guests upon booking about certain rooms' proximity to the nightclub and their inadequate noise management. Why are they ok with placing the onus on hotel guests to absorb this inconvenience and discomfort in the middle of the night? Come here if you want a "trendy" place to crash when you're drunk after the clubs, I guess. I will be looking to the Maritime or the Standard for my future business trips, and recommend you do the same.

I'm sure that this place is a welcome trendy spot for some folks but for me it wasn't the best. The design of the place is kind of interesting but also feels a little like a boat remade into a futuristic prison. The rooms themselves felt a little cold and if you have Trypophobia they'll be an absolute nightmare for you based on the walls alone. The beds are a little low. Supported by a flat hardwood base. Luckily the mattresses were a little thicker so sleep was decent. Plenty of outlets in the room. The bathroom was a bit cringy especially if you're sharing with anyone you're not romantically linked to. The door had a hole where a doorknob would be so if you wanted to peek in on anyone you could see them sitting directly on the toilet. It also didn't lock. The walls of the bathroom and shower are a sort of frosted glass but you can see a silhouette of someone showering...and MORE if they get too close. Privacy kind of goes out the window. I will say that shower head itself was a pleasant waterfall type and had great water pressure. There's a club in the building so beware of late night noise. The lobby has an interesting seating area. But if you look up you might get an eyeful of the people swimming in the pool above. All in all it might be cool if you're a younger couple, but staying here with a co worker for a night was a little awkward!

Wow, just wow!! Initially, that is as much as I can say to describe this place. It is both an assault on the senses and the wallet (thankfully we did not have to pay for the room). Due to us missing our flight, we were provided this complimentary room by Delta. I could spin an entirely long and drawn-out yarn about this place; however, to save you time and provide you with what you need to make a good decision, I'll list out the pros and cons with a bit of commentary. Before reading, know that this review is written by a mid-thirty-year-old husband and father. Therefore, if you're single, love the club life lifestyle, and/or want to have a NY one-night stand, hook-up session, stop reading and enjoy this hotel. Pros - The hotel is situated in Manhattan and has a great view of the Empire State Building. - The lobby and rooms are very unique with a sort of European feng shui. However, this is also a con due that European rooms are not the most inviting, large, or comfortable in my opinion. - The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, which the front desk staff will more than happily help you narrow down to your wants. - On the subject of the staff, they are very helpful and inviting. They helped us more than they probably should have. - They have a bar right in the lobby area with plenty of lounge seating. Cons - The entire hotel is an environment for college/20-year-olds whose sole goal in life is to do drugs and hook up. - The lobby that you have to walk through in order to get to your room and the entrance can and does at any moment smell different. We walked through the lobby four times. The first time, it smelled like a Snopp Dogg concert, the second time it smelled like stale beer and sad dreams, the third time it smelled of literal horse manure, and the last time it smelled of old cigarettes and what I can only imagine the walk of shame to smell like. - Apart from the variety of the lobby smells, one thing remains constant. The entire hotel smells like a night in Las Vegas. - The exterior is extremely sketchy, no matter the time of day. We saw everything from ladies of the night to platoons of police officers. Also, the air is teeming with the potential of an imminent cockfight. - There is a pool, a Chinese restaurant, and two clubs on site. You may think this is good, however, the pool costs extra, the Chinese restaurant is stupid expensive, and the clubs are located on the roof and basement. Therefore, even if you're in your room, you still get the wonderful feeling and sensation that you are in the club #partyinyoursleep. If weird smells and sketchy environments are your things, then look no further. However, if it's not and you like to invest your money in something more sensible, keep looking. P.S. one night is roughly around $500 a night.

I'm literally staying here right now and I'm a New Yorker that's used to noise. Holy moly y room is shaking from the base so much I'm nauseous. I guess it's good to lose weight but I'm exhausted so if you plan on sleeping before 4:30am don't stay here. This was a HUGE mistake.

We loved the room even tho it's small, but the bed was really comfy, however it was a platform bed and wasn't easy for one of us older folks to get out of. But that's ok, that's what you get with a hip hotel! I slept like a baby but my husband was awakened by the street noise and construction across the street. But that's not the hotel's fault, so we could live with that (or at least I could). The problems we encountered were: 1) The refrigerator wasn't working so we lost a delicious doggy bag dinner from the fabulous, authentic Italian restaurant Il Mulino (so sad!). Upon noticing that it did not work when I put the food in the fridge I called the front desk immediately and they never sent someone to repair it as they had promised. I called the next day and they said someone will come up but no one ever came. I called the next day and they said someone would come up but no one came. I did hear the door open and close, but when we went to the hallway, we did not see anyone? 2) They should have left us 2 bottles of water every day @ $400 a night but didn't. 3) The first day we had two sets of towels (two washcloths, two hand towels, and two bath towels). The next day only 1 wash cloth and 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels, the 3rd day only one wash cloth and no new hand or bath towels. The towels are rough, would have preferred something a little softer on the skin. 4) no extra TP so had to call for some to be delivered. 5) only 2 glasses the first day and none were left the 2nd, 3rd or 4th day. 6) only one tiny trash can in the bathroom. 7) only one chair on the balcony and no side table so only one of us could sit outside at a time (unless one of us sat on the ground and that would be me, the younger of the two). Left to balance a drink and a phone. 8) no electrical outlet in the bathroom so had to dry my hair in the bedroom with no mirror. 9) blow dryer didn't work very well due to the retractable cord, great idea but it does cause electrical problems apparently. Aside from all that the hotel staff was very nice. I would like to return but they would have to address these issues. I normally wouldn't write all this in a review but they have no option for messaging the hotel. Great location!! Thank you for listening and hopefully addressing these issues.

The dream is in a great location and is an awesome boutique hotel. The rooms are definitely on the small side, but what NYC hotel rooms aren't? The decor is very industrial trendy. A chain link shower curtain was def a first for me! The Karl Lagerfeld toiletries were lovely. The view out of the porthole window in the room was amazing. I thought there were only two plugs in the room under the built in desk but later realized there were more on the side of the desk. The beds are nice but the pillows are far too feathery, which made my neck uncomfortable in the mornings. My only other complaint would be that the window coverings are placed in such a way that they don't block out all the sunlight like a normal hotel room, the sun comes in through both sides in the morning. I really need to get used to wearing a face mask! The light switches in the room seem far more complicated than they are. They're labeled to be held down but instead you need to just click them like a normal button to turn on/off. I liked a DND button instead of a door sign! The lobby is very cool. If you sit in the bar area and look up at the skylights you realize you are actually looking up into the bottom of the pool lol hope everyone in the pool knows that Thursday-the weekend there is a club upstairs so the lobby is quite crowded. I was on the 8th floor and didn't have any noise issue but had read about others having issues on higher floors. The elevator buttons are very finicky which is a bit annoying. The staff is very friendly, especially the housekeeping staff. They are wonderful! So prompt and kind. I do wish they had brought back room service post pandemic, had to venture out when I arrived from my long flight after midnight for food. Overall a great experience and would stay here again!

This is a beautiful, hip hotel in Chelsea but what you don't know before you come is that there is a club that plays music into the early morning hours every single night. You hear the music & vibrating bass all night & some of the of the hotel goers come home from whatever bar/club & talk loudly down the hallways going back to their room. This will be my 3rd night here & I haven't gotten any sleep on this entire vacation. Worst part is, you need all the energy to walk miles & miles throughout the day in NY & with no sleep it completely ruins your energy level to enjoy the city. I'll never stay here again.

Trendy hotel in great location. Hotel staff was so accommodating. They even helped me book in room massages for me and my husband. We booked a king suite and it was beautiful and spacious. Hotel has great restaurants nearby. We truly enjoyed our Valentines night stay. Will return!

Just checked out of the Dream Downtown. I have to say the hotel is amazing with a great location to many fabulous neighborhoods. At the the hotel I have to say that Irtiza D. at the front desk was able to handle all of our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. With that I have Anthony P. Who also looked out for us as well. Thank you gentlemen for your attention bro detail.

Modern hotel vibes. Great location (close to Chelsea Market and the Highline, far enough away from midtown nonsense). Other reviews knocked the busy light life, but it's NOT an issue as they manage the to keep the club entrance and hotel separate. The small coffee shop (Bodega Negra?) is underrated - very good coffee and breakfast.

The Dream Downtown is a botique-style (though part of a global chain) hotel near Chelsea Market in NYC. The hotel has a light nautical theme, mostly tied together by round porthole windows. They have suite and standard rooms, some with balconies, and are loft-style with low beds and polished concrete floors. There is the PHD club next door, and Phillipe Chow in the basement. The TAO nightclub is just up the block, and the area has a vibrant nightlife scene. The A/C/E/L subway lines are a half block away, and the location is great for exploring the local sights on foot as well. The hotel was very chic, with an NFT art exhibit in the lobby, a bar wall made of thousands of beer cans, and a back garden with steps up to a glass-bottomed pool. Everything was fairly well maintained, and the service was good overall. I will note I had a hard time getting anyone "live" at the hotel, morning, noon, or night, and instead got a call center with sometimes eager and sometimes snotty, condescending, staff. If you need to ask someone anything related to local information, you may be out of luck. My question was about parking, and the call center staff had stock information, but nothing about local garages. I ended up taking care of this on my own. The room was a decent size for NYC; about 275 sq ft if I recall. The bed was a low platform style, and very hard. If you like anything less than a firm mattress, you may be uncomfortable. The room was in good shape and reasonably well maintained. Everything was clean, and no odd odors. The small balcony was nice, though the hotel is directly across from a loading dock, so the diesel fumes put a damper on that during the day. The big issue with the room is that they took a minimalist approach, so the desk was directly under the TV, and very shallow. There was a small side table, a faux fur-covered bench, and a side chair. There was no functional work space, as the shallow desk was used for personal items. The closet was about 18" wide, and there were only two small drawers for clothes. There's definitely a lack of clothing storage, and we ended up living out of our suitcases mostly. There is ample space for a desk or larger armoire, which was odd. So, if you're traveling alone, this isn't likely a problem, but if you have two people with clothes, and want to find a space to work for a few hours, you'll have to juggle a bit. The technology in the room was pretty old, and while the TV had an HDMI port to plug a laptop in to watch a movie or streaming, you couldn't change the input on the TV...so we ended up unplugging the cable and plugging in the laptop. They have a white noise generator in the room that kinda sounds like water running, and is supposed to block out outside noise. It kinda works, though it may depend on how sensitive you are to noise from the street. They have a light for "privacy" and a light for "service" which was nice, and the room was cleaned each day with no issues. The sound from the TV could be turned on in the bathroom, which was cool. The bathroom was a decent size, and had a tub/rainfall shower combo that was very nice. Again...not a lot of places to put small items, so the sink got a bit overloaded. There was no microwave, and the minibar was one of those "automated" versions where you get charged the minute something is lifted off of the sensors. This took up space in the fridge, which I kinda hate, but we worked around it. Only beverages, no snacks stocked in the room. Overall, a cool place to stay in a great location, though the rooms sacrifice functionality and comfort for form and style, and have some dated technology. -J

No slippers, no other pillow options, noisy hallway, especially at night ppl are super loud you can hear everything from inside of the room. The phone is useless because nobody is answering. Worse experience in nyc ever.

Dream Hotel is Boutique-style, and rooms are normal NY size. The bed is almost on the floor, and the sink is Stiansteel which was odd. Nice big window with a slim deck if you looked out to the right you could see the river.

Staff is really kind. I'm here on a business trip and after a long, frustrating flight I was greeted kindly by Anthony at the front desk. He took the time to chat with me, ask how I was doing and sincerely answer my questions. I felt like he was going above and beyond make me feel welcome. After dropping off my bags -- and recognizing I was starving -- I went down to the hotel bar to grab some food. Camilo was super attentive, giving suggestions for food as well as just being overall pleasant. It was the end of the night and he offered to throw in an old fashioned on top of my whiskey because, and this is my interpretation, I felt like he was proud of it. It went well with the steak frites. Afterward, I popped outside briefly and asked the doorman Shay where I could get some toothpaste and hair gel and he pointed me in the right direction and offered me an umbrella since it was still pouring out. All three of those guys were just super friendly and thoughtful. The room is small but comfortable. The view is exceptional. I'm staying another night but wanted to share my really positive experience asap.

I regret to share my recent experience at Dreams Hotel in downtown, which was far from the dreamy getaway I had hoped for. From the moment we checked in, the service was subpar, with Paul attempting to juggle too many tasks at once, resulting in a frustrating check-in process. To add to the disappointment, our room was a major letdown. The outdated furniture covered in layers of paint gave the room an unpleasant and worn-out feel. The old AM/FM radio seemed like a relic from the past, contributing to the outdated ambiance. The room's poor lighting only worsened the situation, making it difficult to create a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. Moreover, the window was in dire need of a thorough cleaning, obstructing any chances of enjoying the outside view. The dirty shower curtain and the smelly, filthy carpet further added to the lackluster experience. As if that wasn't enough, the pool area, which was oversold, posed a safety hazard, while the service staff exhibited a complete lack of professionalism, leaving us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. In summary, my stay at Dreams Hotel in downtown was marred by an overwhelming list of issues - from the insufficient service during check-in to the disappointing room conditions and inadequate amenities. It's unfortunate that the hotel failed to meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness and comfort. I sincerely hope that the management addresses these concerns promptly to ensure a more pleasant experience for future guests.

Beautiful property from the lobby to the pool. Great location with a lot of restaurants close by. I personally love that you need to buy a day pass for the pool - it limits the number of people so it's more enjoyable. I had a refreshing drink and corn salad while chilling poolside. Towels etc are all provided for you. Staff is always friendly and ready to help with anything you need. Enjoy!

Booked this month's ago for a quick family get away to NYC ( young adult kids). Looked cool and fun. Deceptively, photos show rooftop lounge during daylight and it is listed as a hotel amenity. Same for the pool. They should not show these as being part of the hotel since neither really is or even very accessible to guests. You have your tiny room and the rest of NYC to relax and enjoy- that is it! No water bottles, only 2 pillows/ bed. No ice machine- you need to call the front desk. 45 minutes and a 2nd phone call the ice arrived. 2 am domestic violence incident in the room next door. Called the front desk and they sent a security guard who did after about 20 minutes, resolve the problem. Lights in the room are autonomous and strange to operate. The good; our room was ready early so we got to check in early. However, the hotel had been bought by Hyatt since we booked and my earlier request for a double room w a couch was not fulfilled or available since they had recatagorized it as a more expensive room. There were only 2 towels for 4 guests but we caught a cleaner in the hall who put 2 more in our room while we were out. Fortunately, there are places nearby to check out in the evening but that is exhausting after a day of travel and sight seeing ( and now, today, w very little sleep from incident last night) to not have a pleasant, chill place to relax in the hotel for guests. Can't wait to see any surprise charges for " amenities" that don't exist. Hoping we can have a restful night before we check out of this uncomfortable "Bad Dream" hotel. *ALSO, NO FREE WIFI. It is difficult to watch any TV w no pillows to prop yourself up on. Can't wait to leave and never co.e back. ​

A terrible experience of hospitality in NYC. Now going to NYC one doesn't have a high expectation of hospitality, but after my experience at Dream Hotel on west 16th street in NYC, they managed to lower my expectations even that much more. The fact that they were able to reserve a room for me on a day that I didn't ask for and then after I canceled it and bought a room for the correct day, they still charged me for the cancelled room. Now being charged almost $400 for a room you didn't book seems to be the definition of theft. Then paying over $400 for a room that was small, dirty, outdated, and very unimpressive seems to be the definition of price gouging to me. I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to NYC. After trying to reach out through multiple emails and phone calls, I have yet to hear or see a response from anyone at the hotel or corporate.

I would not recommend staying at this place if you're considering it. Based on its service, fee, lack of comfort and lack of hotel etiquette, we could've stayed at Airbnb for a better outcome. 1. Hotel is over priced ($800 for 2 nights) for a tiny room and a tiny window. with no services. 2. When we walked in there wasn't even someone to help with the bags or at the front desk. We had to wait until we found someone. 3. There wasn't any room service even though theres a club upstairs and restaurant downstairs . We ordered takeout and requesting utensils was a challenge. 4. They charged us $65 for hotel facilities of "free internet" and aka "closed pool" what an absolute fraud. 5. Carpets smelled like it was a motel, and each hotel door is close to each other, we could hear peoples conversations as it echoes through the tiny room. Almost feels like you're in a hostel. This hotel has potential but clearly the owners dont care about it.

I stayed with an out of towner friend for 1 night. Good stuff: Staff Pool Decent size room Wonderful smelling toiletries Lots of places nearby Ambience Not so good stuff Ac- would either get too cold or too hot Light switch- hard to figure out, and hard to press but keep pressing, n it will work eventually We were there to party so we didn't mind but might get loud for folks. Overall a decent hotel, especially if there are to enjoy with your friends, and experience nyc. Won't recommend for families.

Bouncer tried to charge four hundred and fifty dollars for me and my friends to enter the bar even though half of us were staying at the hotel. This was entirely because 3/7 of us were male which is wildly misogynistic and predatory to say the least. This fee was entirely artificial and completely representative of who this company really is. If you're coming here you need to bring ratio like it's a college frat party even though the drinks aren't free and the company is trashy, just on a rooftop

Horrible, if I could give it zero stars, I would!!! Shoebox rooms, terrible A/C, incredibly noisy, no ventilation, damp carpet around the whole room, almost no lighting in the room!!! please check the room size before you book, those things are TINY TINY TINY!!!! no water in the room, no ironing boards, mini fridge was a joke, and $600 per night!!! Nooooooo way, never, terrible x 10!!!

Brian Balaram purposely overcharged me and deliberately abused his authority. I would not recommend the dream hotel in downtown because their service is absolutely terrible. Me and my guests had nothing but complaints about the room. Brian Balaram intentionally overcharge me because he said that I should pay for bottles of wine that were never received by me or my guest. Brian Balaram was completely unhelpful. My state was only supposed to be $345 for one night. I was charged close to $800. He said it was for incidentals, but I never touched anything in the snack bar. Besides not touching anything in the snack bar there was nothing to touch because the snack bar refrigerator was almost 100°. So basically the refrigerator was broken and there were no cold drinks. Brian Balaram was made aware of this, but he had some condescending tone as if he was smarter than me. Telling me that even though I didn't want a bottle of wine, Brian Balaram wanted to charge me for it, twice! Brian Balaram charged twice , even though me and my guest never even saw one bottle. We never opened the bottle. Brian Balaram knew we did not receive the bottle and acknowledge the bottle was unopened, sitting on their inventory shelf, and. Brian Balaram continued to say we should pay for something we never received. I find it disgraceful that large institutions would hire a person as rude and condescending as Brian Balaram. I understand why they have such terrible reviews because if they hire people like Brian Balaram they are foolish. Brian Balaram should've never spoken to a customer the way he did. Brian Balaram should've sent me a proper invoice instead of overcharging me with unauthorized charges. I reported Brian Balaram to my credit card company, and with my marketing company I will do everything in my power to make sure nobody in my Netwerk stays at the dream downtown hotel in the future. Small rooms and nasty employees. Brian Balaram Lost this brand a lot of business.

Loved our stay at the Dream! Great area next to Chelsea Market, easy access to the high line. Hotel had cool vibes and such nice workers! Notably, Daniel the manager. Can't wait to visit again

It was adequate. A typical Manhattan hotel with tiny rooms and bathroom but it was fine for a night.

I have stayed at this location many times. It's my go to. I love it. But maybe train your employees to not hang up on callers. Nasty on the other end. Couldn't be bothered

worst hospitality hotel in the city. i booked a night for my girlfriends birthday. their "system was down " any time i needed to get into my room i had to wait on a long check in line. they didn't even trouble shoot and just mixed people checking in with people needing access to the room they paid over $500 for. i contacted management and all i received was excuses, i should have disputed the charge as it was a nightmare and they are completeLu unprofessional and money grabbers. don't stay there.

This place is horrible. I've stayed at many places with clubs within the hotel but this place is so LOUD all night long. If it's not the music then it's the people outside yelling and fighting people. If you do want to go into the club that's in the hotel you will need to wait in the hour line to get in. Not to mention the rooms are absolutely nothing special. Even comes down to the little things where there shower curtain doesn't even fit the shower. It covers the shower halfway while the other half all the water is coming out of it. If you plan on trying to go to the roof top pool which comes with your hotel stay doesn't actually include in your hotel stay. They require you to get a wristband to get in unless it's at capacity then you are turned away and can't go to the pool you paid for. Try to go to the restaurant by the pool the worst service ever. So slow and nobody pays attention to you. Save yourself and stay ANYWHERE else.
