"While it’s a new face to Fort Worth’s Near Southside scene, this charming vegan donut shop with vintage vibes is incredibly popular (as in: they often sell out). But Dreamboat is more than just donuts—they’re an offshoot of Spiral Diner, so they also do vegan wraps, too. Stop by and pick up a key lime pie or maple donut and a tortilla filled with creamy hummus and fresh vegetables, then eat them in whichever order your heart desires." - emily smith

Best dessert in Fort Worth! Dreamboat Donuts & Scoops has hands down the best ice cream and donuts in the area. I make it a point to come here every time I visit Fort Worth and am constantly impressed with their creative and top-quality food. Everyone working here is always so friendly and the food tastes phenomenal.

The donuts I selected were dry and just okay. I did go for the kolaches and they were sold out, so hopefully that’s a better experience for me. I like moist donuts, so if you prefer them drier you’d like this place.

Stopped here on our way to Oklahoma for a quick snack and we were so happy we did. We are dairy free and the only donuts we've had without milk are the frozen kind. These are vegan and are perfection!! Made a box of an apple fritter, a peach fritter, two lemon, raspberry and a strawberry glaze. Didn't eat them right away but about an hour later, it was a piece of heaven, so fluffy, the glaze was very good, didn't taste like it was from a can. The parking situation is pretty much one spot, grab and go style. We spent less than 10 minutes there and went on a Saturday morning so I think we lucked out . I plan on coming back here and trying the rest of the goodies available. Thank you for having this place available!!

Listen this place - 10 out of 10. The shop is small and is a to go place, but the workers are friendly and offered other vegan places for us to try. The Biscotti donut was the best by far. But man the raspberry lemonade donut? Dreamy. The kolaches were good and filling. We spent $41 plus tip so 48? For 6 donuts, two kolaches, two drinks, and ice cream. These are specialty donuts and big at that. We had left overs and it was 100% worth price. Wish they had one in Houston!

Google
It was our 1st time in, & we drove 40 mins to get there so we could surprise my daughter (she has a dairy allergy) with donuts for Christmas Eve. Super friendly & helpful staff, Chloe was amazing, & everything is delicious!! It's so hard to find good vegan options. We'll definitely make the drive back for more! Two of the Cozy Dogs didn't make it home. 😊

Did not enjoy the donuts. Will come back to try the ice cream. Oreo donut glaze flakes off (weirdly) and has a bit of an aftertaste. Red velvet cake donut was just not good. The chocolate iced donut was good and the peach fritter was the best item we ordered.

Best vegan donuts around if you're a gluten glutton like me 😈 NOT gluten-free NOT healthy NOT made of kale and quinoa These donuts are freaking delicious and chef JP who makes them really perfected the craft. The donuts are sweet, but not sickening to the point the sugar is simply a crutch to cover up how lackluster the flavor is (Krispy kreme) The flavor really punches through, and the texture is soft and fluffy with just the right amount of chew. Got the kolaches(so good I was afraid it wasnt vegan) Biscoff butter donut Glazed donut Maple donut They were all fantastic and I'll be back for a dozen more 😈 Price is totally fine, $24 for a dozen homemade glazed is cheap in this economy, and $3.59 for a fancy shmancy donut is fine. These ain't no garbage bland donuts y'all

Yelp
I accidentally took a wrong turn when, I was on my way to my Doctor's Appointment. That's when I discovered Dreamboat Donuts & Scoops! I was like what is that? The architecture was so captivating. It was a unique designed building. I checked out the reviews on here and they were good! So, I decided to drop in and... what a dream it was! DD&S was sort of camouflaged with other buildings and I almost walked into the wrong shop because, the buildings are so close together. I turned the corner and there it was, a tiny, tiny Donut shop with Silver Inflated Balloons that said, Donuts. Inside, Emily helped me out by explaining that the Donuts are made with yeast. I chose the original Glaze Donut and it was surprisingly good! It was soft and semi sweet. It was a large in size and kept me fulfilled and oh, so happy! Lol. Who would of thought? A Vegan Donut was so good! It's worth paying 3.00 plus tax. I was able to sample their much talked about Vegan Ice Cream. The Cookie Monster was by far my favorite. It was sweet, crunchy and colorful. They have other flavors like, Pistachio Blue Berry, Vanilla and Chocolate. The sample portion is very generous too. The Ice Cream was so flavorful and left a good taste in my mouth. It made me want more. I didn't feel guilty about it either since, it's Vegan. It was just like a dream. As you can see, I have crossed over to Vegan Donuts. I will gladly return soon and look forward to trying more items on the Menu. Don't do a hard pass on them. Check them out. They are located in the Medical Arts District.

Yelp
Not bad, not great. Service okay. Maybe could do 4 stars and tempted to since it's a vegan spot and want to give those all the love but probably wouldn't stop by again

Yelp
I am off dairy right now for my baby so it is a blessing to have vegan restaurants that I can trust will have no dairy products at all in their food. My husband and I had the donuts holes, a chocolate and sprinkles, a chocolate cake, and a grahm cracker donut(?) and two kolaches. It was all good. I really liked the donut holes and the kolaches. The staff were nice when my husband couldn't decide what he wanted.

Yelp
I go here often, but I finally got pictures. I swear they're tastier than they appear to look. Heated up or room temperature, the classic glaze is amazing either way. I prefer to heat up the chocolate to melt it a bit. The service is always cool. Never an issue.

Yelp
It was a must that I visit Dreamboat to complete the Trinity. (I'm a big fan of Spiral Diner and Maiden.) The shop is cutesy - so fun and vibrant. I was welcomed by the sweetest server, she asked if I'd been there before, and as it was my first time, made sure to give me a great rundown and offer samples of their ice cream to try. I opted to not get any donuts on this particular visit and to be transparent, felt the prices were a bit steep for a single donut. (This comes from someone who is used to paying more for plant based/vegan goods.) BUT the ice cream is definitely something to write home about! I got the cherry cordial (seasonal) and pistachio - both good but the cherry cordial stole the show. This will certainly be my #1 stop any time I feel like a sweet treat.

Yelp
Omg this donut shop was so cute!!! My family got a few donuts and they loved them. I got the strawberry frosted donut and it was delicious. The frosting actually tasted like fresh strawberry and the donut texture was nice and fluffy on the inside/flaky on the outside. I would definitely get this one again. My boyfriend got the cookie butter flavor and he REALLY liked it. Overall these donuts are not gagging sweet which I love. They are reasonably priced given the large portion. I would pick this donut shop over any other donut shop I've tried in Ft. Worth. The service and customer experience as a whole was amazing and quick-we will definitely visit again.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! By far some of the best donuts I have ever had and they were vegan! As someone who is very picky when it comes to donuts this place surprised me so much. The worker was kind enough to go over the menu and tell us about each of the donuts and the differences which was so nice since we walked in not knowing if we would enjoy them. The shop simple yet efficient enough room to stand inside or brag a seat on the outside of the building out of the sun might I add!! I would definitely come back here!!

Jen Z.

Yelp
Had soooo much hope for these donuts. Unfortunately they fell super flat. The cake donuts were very dense and dry, took some actual chew to get through. The yeast donuts were better, just not exceptional. The strawberry sprinkle and cookie butter were probably the best. The apple fritter lacked the "crispy" fritter edges. It was doughy, almost like it was fried through enough. The kolache, bread to dog ratio was also super off. Entirely too much bread. Hopefully they'll work on the execution because the concept is amazing!!!

Kathy C.

Yelp
Finally, a place to get the full donut shop experience without the dairy! I only wish there was one closer to my house on the west side

Monie H.

Yelp
I finally made it before they sold out! They have been selling out quickly, so I advise coming early ("early-ish") to grab some goodies. This morning, I "test drove" the key lime/coconut, chocolate with sprinkles, cookie dough (topped with Biscoff cookie), and blueberry cake with lemon glaze donuts, as well as a jalepeno sausage kolache made with vegan "sausage," of course. They were all delish. I ate 1/2 of each and shared the other 1/2 so I would not go into sugar overload. The donuts were actually not overly sweet as most are. My favorite was the chocolate sprinkles donut, but they were all good. The sausauge kolache was even yummy - I just which it was larger, because it was so yummy :-) It's a donut, so it's impossible to tell that they are vegan - you'll only taste deliciousness. Staff was very nice and answered all my questions. I am a nosy Yelper! Ha! I didn't try the ice cream this time. The very nice employees let me know that it's the same ice cream at thier "mother store," Spiral Diner, ---- so you know it's excellent ice cream. You can get a punch card. After 5 visits, you get one free donut. Free street parking is available, but you may have to park and walk a few blocks since free parking is tight in this area.

Yelp
YUM!!! I visited on a Saturday afternoon at 3 pm and they were all out of donuts so of course that's a fantastic sign! They have danishes, flavored waffle cones, soft serve, and a variety of ice creams! Their ice cream is not like any vegan ice cream you get at the grocery store, it is elite! I got one scoop (which is actually two scoops because they really pack it in there) of their Cookies n' Cream ice cream! It was delicious. It had a very satisfying stretchy texture and a healthy ratio of cookie chunks! The server was so sweet and helpful. She let me try flavors and walked me through what they had going on. I tried the pistachio and cherry cordial (seasonal) flavors as well and liked them. It's a super cute shop to grab treats at and I love their pink spoons!

Sophie H.

Yelp
While waiting to be seated at Spiral Diner & Bakery, we saw the signage for a vegan donut shop. My in-laws are vegans and are always in the search of vegan-friendly desserts. After eating our brunch, we had a short walk (down the same street) to their donut shop - Dreamboat Donut & Scoops. It's a small storefront, but features two long cases of donuts, with a case for yeast donuts and one for cake donuts. There's another case for ice cream, housing 9 flavors (only 8 were available when we came). My 11 y/o sampled the cookies n cream & wound up with a scoop of that. My 6 y/o tried the strawberry (made with real strawberries and no sweeteners), and didn't care for that one. She tried the chocolate and that was a winner, so we got a scoop of that. Donut-wise, my in-laws got (2) strawberries, (1) strawberries with sprinkles, (1) cookie butter for me, (1) blueberry, (1) glazed, (1) red velvet, and (1) pumpkin spice. My 11 y/o liked the red velvet and the 6 y/o liked the strawberry with sprinkles. I liked the cookie butter but it didn't have as strong of a cookie butter taste as I'm used to. We all agreed that the flavors were good but the donut themselves were a bit on the dry side. I think we'd come back for the ice cream for sure. Maybe for the donuts if the in-laws wanted them.

Yelp
This is such a cute donut and ice cream shop. I really appreciate the clearly labeled allergens and the care with not cross contaminating flavors. Staff helped me to get to the ice cream that I didn't know I wanted (Cookie D'oh) and I picked up some gorgeous flavors for my kids. I'm excited that Spiral Diner is expanding its quality and service to different ventures like this one.

Amanda J.

Yelp
Cute vegan donut and ice cream shop with lots of flavors and options! I was shocked at the delicious plain glazed donut - you'd never know it was vegan! It's super cute and the pink is very inviting, and the guy working was super helpful and let me try some samples! Would recommend for something different!

Krista R.

Yelp
Dreamboat is on 6th street near Spiral. Spiral owns dreamboat. Dreamboat is vegan donuts and ice cream. I've only had their donuts. I've had their glazed and chocolate. I actually think I prefer these donuts over the normal donuts. Not as sweet. Just the right amount of sweetness. Soft and big. Don't need more than one.

Matthew M.

Yelp
Always enjoy getting these tasty doughnuts, you'd never guess they were vegan. Friendly staff to boot.

Howlishia E.

Yelp
Donuts are so delicious. The Ambiance is beautiful.First time trying this place and I love it. Will definitely be returning back for more of the delicious treats.

Danielle A.

Yelp
These were some of the best donuts I've eaten! The staff are very friendly and knowledge. They have a small footprint, so seating is limited if you're looking to sit and eat.

Sandy H.

Yelp
We ordered 4 donuts: strawberries with sprinkles, biscoff, Oreo with peanuts and cookies and cream. They were super good!! I would definitely come back to try other donuts and we tried a sample of their ice cream and it was also good. They have other breakfasts items that we didn't buy. I really really loved the donuts! and everything is vegan! Like how!?? Super good! The location is pretty nice too, vintage vibes and the colors are beautiful. The gentleman was very kind and explained their menu very well. Service 10/10 donuts 10/10 Ambiance 10/10. Just go try them out, you won't regret it!

Natasha B.

Yelp
I really wanted to like these donuts which is why I went twice to try them. Both times the glaze on the plain was lacking. I wasnt expecting Krispy Kreme coverage but you could see patches where there was no glaze at all. The dough was somewhat bland and not as sweet as I expected a donut to be. Thus if you hit one of those spots without glaze then it felt like eating bland cooked/fried dough. We tried other flavors and the icing was too sweet. I am grateful there are vegan yeast donuts but the recipe could use work. I will say the kolaches (which were available the 2nd time but not the first) were REALLY good. I would go back if they improved the donut recipe and execution. I really want them to succeed but for the price I can't justify spending any more money on donuts that I throw the majority away.

Jen K.

Yelp
A bit overpriced. The lemon blueberry was tasty but nothing extraordinary compared to other local mom and pop donut shops nearby. I'm not what justifies a tip either. I hate that everywhere you go now thinks that you have to have the option of leaving a tip. It's very uncomfortable.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Okay, this was the best vegan donut I've ever had. And it was SATISFYING! Woman helping me was super friendly insisted I taste some ice cream even though I said I was just doing a donut today. It was just so delicious. Will 1000000% be back.

Joe L.

Yelp
Love this place and love that they're vegan! Grabbed a glazed and chocolate with sprinkles, and wish i had gotten more! Staff is nice and attentive, space is clean and easy to maneuver. If you get a moment, stop and grab some donuts and then visit café momento for some coffee too!

Jim S.

Yelp
Nice selection of vegan treats...icings/glazes are creative and tasty. The doughnuts themselves are super heavy, the cake doughnuts are like eating bread. ~$3 each

Anne M.

Yelp
The best glazed donut I've ever tried. Not only are the donuts amazing, their service was great too. I changed my mind on which donut to get and staff was super patient and nice about it. Something I found a lot of vegan donuts lack is fluffiness and Dreamboat definitely did not miss :)

Bridget S.

Yelp
Donuts taste amazing and you would not even know they are vegan. Such a cute small place.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Try the Cookie Butter donut! It is sublime! We were looking forward to a new donut and coffee shop coming into our neighborhood, and Dreamboat did not disappoint us. The donuts are delicious and vegan! The staff are very helpful and patient with questions. The shop is clean and modern, and there's a coffee shop directly across from here. Try them!
