"When the people in Dreamburger’s purple food truck outside of Vinyl Tap dream about burgers, everything is paper-thin. The patties, the onions smushed into those patties, and even the pickles. But the flavor isn’t flat at all, thanks in large part to their tangy “dreamsauce,” made with hickory-smoked, whole plum tomatoes. The aroma that comes out of your takeout bag is so intoxicating, good luck getting this burger back to your car—or really anywhere further than a few feet away from the window—before eating it. "At Dreamburger, smashburgers are serious business, as evidenced by the short menu of burgers executed to perfection. The original Dreamburger is a lacey-edged stack of two patties with thin-sliced onions smashed into them on the griddle (“so thin they almost melt”), topped with American cheese, pickles, and a healthy dose of mayo-based Dreamsauce. Fans can find these dreamy burgers served out of a trailer parked outside of Vinyl Tap, East Nashville’s taproom and record shop, Thursday through Sundays (double-check hours here). "Over in East Nashville, there’s a dive bar that’s been reliably doling out cold bottles of beer and late-night bites since the 1970s. We’re talking about Dino’s, and the cheeseburger is an after-hours legend in Nashville. The patty is reliably charred, juicy, and dripping with a melty slice of good ol’ american cheese. With lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles as the topping, they aren’t necessarily reinventing the wheel here. But the burger is so consistently good that nothing could stop it from becoming a classic.
