"Derek Brown and his team at Drink Company created a series of rotating, elaborately themed pop-up bars at 1843 Seventh Street NW in Shaw. These pop-ups included themes from HBO’s Game of Thrones to D.C.’s cherry blossoms. The pop-ups featured intricate decor, unique cocktails, and were major selfie backdrops for visitors. Despite their popularity, the high costs and logistics led to their closure after the holiday-themed Miracle on 7th Street installation." - Adele Chapin

"Drink Company’s latest installment at its pop-up bar in Shaw explores the dark side of Brothers Grimm fairy tales. In true PUB fashion, elaborate decor transports guests to the Black Forest at Hansel and Gretel’s house. There are also nods to Rapunzel’s golden hair and the wicked queen’s mirror. Paul Taylor’s cocktails include “The Fairest Apple of Them All” (Smooth Ambler American Whiskey, maple, apple cider, vinegar, bitters) and “Crumby Directions” (Powers Gold Label Irish Whiskey, ginger, honey, lemon, smoked Allspice). Chef Mike O’Brien of the Berliner’ will serve German brats, frankfurters, and soft pretzels to match the Black Forest theme." - Tierney Plumb

"The Miracle on 7th Street pop-up will curb post-Christmas cravings from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. That’s followed by a Taittinger Champagne-sponsored blowout at 9:30 p.m. The $20 ticket covers a free flute, New Year’s Eve punches, party favors, and a spot at a countdown inside a glittering dome room that resembles a New Year’s Eve Ball." - Tierney Plumb

I love this place. The themes are always so great. The decorations put you in a different places or mood every single time. The attention to detail is awesome from the drink names to the cups they are served in.

Went to a preview night of Pub Grimm and it was ok. I'm not into crowds and lines so I'm not a huge fan, but if you're patient it's probably not too bad. The decor was cute but not mindblowing. Food and drinks tasted great. Bartenders are real pros who were working like crazy!

Went to the opening of the Fairy Tail theme pop up bar. Was happily surprised to see they had more space than for the holiday pop up. Their pop up bars are always well decorated with fun drink menus! This one has even more photo ops than the last. Highly recommend you check it out!

This place was awesome!!! I had a blast here I'm not one that likes to drink that much but the drinks they made here were so good and all hand made, even their soda had just regular soda with the flavors hand mixed in! Each room had it's own theme which was really awesome, hopefully the next time I go to the DC area this will be open again. Oh and all the staff were super cool, easy to joke with, and talk to 10 out of 10 would go again

Always amazing decor and fantastic drinks! Prepare to wait in line on busy days and sometimes need to be patient in waiting for drinks but it's worth it

Really cool decorations for every section (3 different areas), very creative drinks and drink names. They also use mugs that are unique as well. They have a playing area which requires a temporary deposit in case anything happens to the controllers or device. Can feel a bit small at times, the entrance doesn't really detail the place and when busy the drinks can take a while because of the effort and uniqueness they put on the drinks takes time. If you enjoy games and see the references you will enjoy the place a lot, but otherwise it's just an unique above average bar.

A great pop-up, the theme will change over time so know that what you see/hear is variable. My experience is with the video game themed set. Super awesome! Very interesting drinks, and great decor. O feel that regardless of the theme you'll be able to count on a good experience.
