Immersive pop-up bar with quirky rotating themes, friendly staff & extravagant interior designs.
"Derek Brown and his team at Drink Company created a series of rotating, elaborately themed pop-up bars at 1843 Seventh Street NW in Shaw. These pop-ups included themes from HBO’s Game of Thrones to D.C.’s cherry blossoms. The pop-ups featured intricate decor, unique cocktails, and were major selfie backdrops for visitors. Despite their popularity, the high costs and logistics led to their closure after the holiday-themed Miracle on 7th Street installation." - Adele Chapin
"Drink Company’s latest installment at its pop-up bar in Shaw explores the dark side of Brothers Grimm fairy tales. In true PUB fashion, elaborate decor transports guests to the Black Forest at Hansel and Gretel’s house. There are also nods to Rapunzel’s golden hair and the wicked queen’s mirror. Paul Taylor’s cocktails include “The Fairest Apple of Them All” (Smooth Ambler American Whiskey, maple, apple cider, vinegar, bitters) and “Crumby Directions” (Powers Gold Label Irish Whiskey, ginger, honey, lemon, smoked Allspice). Chef Mike O’Brien of the Berliner’ will serve German brats, frankfurters, and soft pretzels to match the Black Forest theme." - Tierney Plumb
"The Miracle on 7th Street pop-up will curb post-Christmas cravings from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. That’s followed by a Taittinger Champagne-sponsored blowout at 9:30 p.m. The $20 ticket covers a free flute, New Year’s Eve punches, party favors, and a spot at a countdown inside a glittering dome room that resembles a New Year’s Eve Ball." - Tierney Plumb
