"This upscale haunt of famed Chef Charlie Palmer is attached to the sleek Hotel Healdsburg. Its wine list beams with Sonoma pride, and every night brings a chance to discover new producers and finely aged pours. The vaulted room is airy and refined, with white tablecloths and windows overlooking the downtown square. The cooking is distinctly American, with farm-sourced ingredients prepared in an anything but heavy-handed manner. Start with a delicate mushroom tart brimming with turnips; then comes gnocchi in a lamb ragù with black garlic purée and watercress. Dessert is a must, thanks to such recent favorites as poppy seed-olive oil cake with citrus gel; lemon tart with pistachio sable; and strawberry mousse buried under its own unique world of toppings." - Michelin Inspector

Google
A very high end and memorable dining experience. The food was stunning, the service top notch and the sommelier was beyond wonderful in helping choose a fabulous pairing for our dinner and sharing info about the local region which we were not familiar with! Each dish was even more tasty than the last but the pasta and the duck were standouts. This was a wonderful experience all around and I’d so love to go back again in future travels.

Had an amazing dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen. Service, food, wine pairing, and cocktail were all excellent. Our server Maria was attentive and was great at explaining all the amazing dishes that chef prepared. A great holiday evening dinner!

Google
Incredible food & service. Best lasagna I've ever had! Everything was perfect, even the lighting! I'm not a dessert person but their peanut butter pastry was delicious.

Google
Memorable experience! Chris guided us through all menu options & recommended choices tailored to our party of four. The three course dinner menu did not disappoint. The avocado, duck & poached Bosc pear from each course stole the show. The crudo, burrata & chai-spiced profiterole were favorites. Every course was timed perfectly including the table side preparation of the tartar. The pastry chef’s additions at the end of the meal were a perfect touch. Highly recommend.

Everything about our night was spectacular! Adam, the assistant general manager is wonderful and really makes you feel welcome! Jon the general manager and sommelier is so knowledgeable and passionate about wine! It was a pleasure listening to the back story and really getting to know our wine! Our server Courtney is absolutely delightful and offers spectacular service. The whole team really is great and they move beautifully as one in the restaurant. Five out of five stars in every aspect! Definitely a restaurant you don’t want to miss!!

My family and I went here for my mother’s 47th birthday! It was amazing and the food was absolutely delicious. Honestly, it was such a wonderful experience. I definitely plan on seeing myself going there again. Our server was Brian and he made sure my mother had a wonderful dinner. He showed great hospitality and was very attentive to our party! We also spoke with the managers Jon and Adam which whom were also a delight to speak with! At the end of our night Chef Jason even came out and spoke with us, as we wanted to thank him for the excellent meal he and his team prepared for us! I also want to shoutout the fine people that brought us our food and made sure we always had enough water in our glasses! It’s always the small details that count for me. Dry Creek Kitchen is definitely a place to go! If you are thinking to yourself “maybe one day” I definitely suggest turning that into a reservation because it is so worth it!

Google
Maria was our server and made the experience so lovely. My teenage daughter doesn't like seafood so she guided her to what to select and offered alternatives. Maria even volunteered to guide my daughter to the restroom as it was in the hotel so she wouldn't be confused. She was so attentive and friendly. The whole staff were top notch. The food was great too!

Google
Food was outstanding. Had a wonderful selection of dinners with duck, scallops, beef fillet with a crazy good street corn and halibut appetizers. Outstanding blackberry sorbet dessert! Definitely coming back.

Yelp
Food was delicious, we ordered the 50 layer lasagna, Clam chowder along with some appetizers. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Reservations are recommended as it does get busy, we were seated at the Bar which I didn't mind since we had no reservations. Bartender Jessica was amazing so attentive to us. Ambiance is very formal and very romantic. Perfect place for a nice romantic dinner. Five stars for this restaurant for sure.

Yelp
I went to Dry Creek Kitchen on a Thursday to take advantage of the lower prix fixe for locals. The ambiance was nice, our waiter was great and attentive, and the wine selection was great -- especially nice that they offer some bottles at 50% off on Thursdays. However, the food was terrible. It was all incredibly salty. My slice of porchetta was about 80% fat -- I'm not sure how that got past the kitchen. I'm not sure how it's possible to screw up oysters but they had an odd crunch to them. The dessert was good but nothing you couldn't get at Big John's (the local grocery store). I'm disappointed and would hope that the standards aren't intentionally lowered for locals night.

Yelp
We came up from San Francisco to celebrate my mom's birthday at Dry Creek Kitchen- and couldn't have been happier with our experience! We did the three course tasting menu after a day of wine tasting, and it was perfection- right amount of absolutely remarkable food with so many fun options. Don't skip the Local Halibut Tiradito (seriously) or the Wild Mushroom Escabeche (YUM) other favorites: the ribeye steak, Street Corn Agnolotti, and the shrimp dumplings. Our server was wonderful, as was the chef (AMAZING!) and the rest of the staff. They treated us like royalty (and we are not), and made our experience so special. We can't wait to go back, and although we went for a special occasion, we'd definitely go back for a more relaxed event or meal, as we loved the atmosphere for any event. Huge THANK YOU to the amazing staff- can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Once again, Thursday Night Neighbors menu drew us into DCK . Crisp white linens, sparkling glasses and fresh flowers. We now have our favorite table and server. While the food was superb, a shoutout to Isabella, Chris, and Ben is well deserved. They made it the delightful evening that it was. Surprise! Instead of the Neighbor' menu we opted for the August tasting menu. A multi-course meal with surprising and creative tastes. Worth every penny....

Yelp
One of my friends saw an article on the best restaurants in Healdsburg and five of us collectively agreed to Dry Creek Kitchen. Great choice as it is excellent all around! Dry Creek hit all my 5 stars requirements. Walk through the high double door entrance and upscale, contemporary yet very California wine country ambiance abounds. Even the rest rooms were beautiful. The $75 prix fixe menu has enough variety at every course to satisfy each of our preferences. For Canapés, the Miyagi oysters pulled from nearby Tomales Bay were so fresh and lush! I favor west coast over east coast, and they were exquisite. You only get 2 but I could've eaten a dozen or more. My first course was a refreshing Kampachi Crudo, but I wished I had picked what others tried: Brokaw Grilled Avocado was phenomenal and bursting with flavors...smoked trout roe, pickled onion, marinated beet crème fraiche, and everything spice quinoa crunch. Perfection! My main course Liberty Duck Breast was awesome, perfectly cooked and beautifully rendered. Seared Day Scallops were tasty, and the Flannery Beef 28-day Rib Eye was mouth-watering delicious. Our cocktails and obviously the wine selection were amazing, and we finished our dessert with a round of espresso martinis. Dry Creek Kitchen was a perfect end to a fun but long tasting day in spectacular cloudless wine country. Luckily we had a Uber to take us back to our hotel!

Yelp
Solid choice; fantastic service, delicious food. This is one of the long standing restaurants since this building was added to the area and for good reason, it's a tried and true. The service matches the delicious menu and fantastic cocktail and wine program. You can't go wrong with any of the choices. I don't give 5 stars often but this hits the spot.

Yelp
This is our second time trying this restaurant, the first time was about 13 years ago. We still had a great experience, good food, and left very happy. We tried one of the tasting menus and it was perfect. We will definitely continue to come here when we're in the area and would recommend to anyone

Yelp
Really disappointing experience at DCK. Party of 14 that was sat at two tables next to each other (which was nice of them). All be it, we had a young waiter, so there is some understanding/empathy there, but we were seated 20 minutes before we had any drinks and it was literally 9:15p when we got bread (8p reservation). The food overall was "fine". Nothing bad, nothing special. The figs with bleu cheese was pretty blah -- basically a cut fig that was a bit mushy with bleu cheese melted on it. The oysters were good. The avocado dish as the introductory plate was pretty uninspiring. It was a borderline half avocado filled with some sort of cheese filling, with some crispy stuff on top, on top of some diced beets. The dish really just didn't tie together much, it felt like a bunch of different ingredients strewn together, it was a miss. The duck was fine, all be it nothing special. I am probably guilty of comparing it to the masterful duck we had the evening before at Singlethread. The strawberry tart was nice (and GF!) but nothing special. It is a reasonably priced meal at $75 and good quality overall, there was just nothing special or inspiring about it. Everything felt like I could have executed it myself pretty easily with solid ingredients. Last note -- the Sommelier was kind of a jerk. Barely engaged us, gave us a few "it's a good wine" comments, offered nothing, and just waited for us to tell him what we wanted. This may have been because we asked about the Albariño and Viognier to start (instead of a higher priced Champagne or Chardonnay) and then went to a Trousseau. Little did he he know that two of us were Somms. . . . . 3-stars is a generous based on the service, but is pretty indicative of the pretty mediocre experience that DCK is offering diners these days.

Cheryl K.

Yelp
Went here for a birthday dinner. We had the Sonoma Neighborhood menu which is a good deal at $55/person for 3 courses. We ordered one of every choice between the 2 of us. All the courses were well prepared & delicious. Another bonus was 50% off on some of the wine bottles. We had an excellent bottle of Cab for less than 2 glasses on the regular wine menu, Service was attentive even if we were on the patio. There were heat lamps to keep us & our dog warm.

John G.

Yelp
Had a Christmas Eve dinner here with friends. Thanking all of the staff for making it special for us. Perfect service and chef's new menu terrific. Try the duck!

Kimberly M.

Yelp
This is truly a fine dining experience. The waiters are attentive. The food is delicious and BEAUTIFUL, the wine is...well, come on, it's Healdsburg!...perfect. This was my 3rd time and they never disappoint. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
3.5/5 I happened to pass by on a Thursday, which is the only day of the week when they offer their Sonoma neighbor menu. The tasting menu consisted of three courses. This restaurant is absolutely stunning, both on the exterior and the interior. The ambiance is immaculate, and the staff are incredibly accommodating, offering to hold jackets and take any extra bags to the back. We began with the Tomales Bay Miyagi oysters, which were ordered à la carte and came in a pair. Unfortunately, I found this dish unsatisfactory. Small shells in oysters is understandable, but biting into a decent-sized shell was VERY UNPLEASANT. Instead of enjoying the oyster, I was trying to remove the shell fragments from my mouth. This was the only aspect of the meal that left me unhappy. For our first course, we opted for the English pea and farro salad, which was perfectly complemented by the feta and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Moving on to the second course, I selected the milk-braised pork shoulder, which was incredibly tender. Although I felt the dish could have benefited from a bit more of salt, it was still enjoyable. My mom ordered the pasta primavera, which was fresh and light. For dessert, I got the strawberry and rhubarb tart, which was so sweet and the perfect way to end my night. My mom got for the lemon pound cake, which was tasty, but just a bit dense for my liking. There were also compliments from the chef, they were all delicious. The lemon meringue was my absolute favorite! The portions were all quite generous and filling, which was appreciated. However, I couldn't help but feel that the appetizers and entrees lacked that wow factor.

Kirk F.

Yelp
I feel like DCK is a little overrated...it's really pretty, for sure, and the staff is dressed up and hits their marks, but the food is "fine" and the prices premium. I wouldn't talk anyone out of DCK but I wouldn't rave or call this can't-miss either.

Ry T.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant with well trained staff who were polite and attentive. Restaurant has really nice ambience. We started off with their focaccia buns, delish. We added a pork belly in biscuit appetizer $12 which was too much food when our entrees arrived. But it was very good. The plate of wild mushrooms was a huge portion and Hubby could not finish. Hamachi crudo was OK, I'd probably skip next time. The duck was really good especially encroute. The slice of breast was chewy though. I enjoyed the ice cream and sorbet. Hubby thought the tart crust was too hard and couldn't taste the pear flavor. There was more pear taste in the sorbet. Very elegant place to have dinner. Food was good and service very nice.

Ken R.

Yelp
This is a full five star place. The 3 course tasting left us full and happy. The tartare on the naan was creative and tasty. The duck was perfectly cooked. My wife had the strip steak and it was amazing with the sauce on top. The service was great and the wine list had some great finds.

Sandra O.

Yelp
The place is beautiful inside. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and professional. We loved the room's ambiance, with fresh flowers, candlelight, and white tablecloth. The wine list is extensive, but exclusively Sonoma wineries. It was Thursday, and they offered a Sonoma Neighbor Menu. There was a nice mix of locals and tourists. The Russian River Lettice Wedge Salad was so fresh and delicious that I could have stopped there! We also tried the Fried Green Tomatoes with grilled avocado, so yummy. The Rigatoni with spicy Pork Sausage and the Crispy Duck Leg confit were delicious. Fabulous desserts! Wow! What a fantastic dinner!

Laura S.

Yelp
I was concerned from reviews that there wouldn't be good vegetarian options but I was pleasantly surprised by the great veggie food I had here last night. The miso "Caesar"salad and my main dish, carnaroli rice porridge, were delicious! And the desserts were awesome too.

Kevin J.

Yelp
Decent food. Lousy service. Waiter was old and grumpy. Bar server spilled my drink on my wife and said sorry and wiped the glass and served it and left. Rarely sweat that much in a dining room. Way too hot. Bathroom is across the street. House cab is poor. You can do better in Healdsburg.

Oliver W.

Yelp
I haven't been to Dry Creek Kitchen in ~10 years... we saw a post online about their Thursday night 'locals dinner' for $55 pp and gave it a shot. We showed up without a reser and got one of their last tables. The service was great & the food was fiiiire. The locals night meal is a 3 course prifix with two choices for each course. We tried all 6 dishes and were impressed by the taste/quality. Def will be back!

Tom S.

Yelp
We were a 4 some. All of us ordered the 3 course dinners. The 5 course tasting menu requires that everyone at a table order it. Kind'a like being at mom's house, you eat what she gives you. So right off the bat, the dinners were very good but not over the top - OMG - "This is the best thing I've ever eaten". As the 4 of us selected different things and shared bites, I got to taste most of the menu items. My shrimp grits was delicious plus. The 4 giant shrimp cooked perfectly. The grits were moist, flavorful, toothsome and buttery but not to a fault. My medium rare steak was also seasoned well. My inclination is to order a steak cooked medium, but at the behest of my wife she insisted that I order this one medium rare. And truthfully to my taste it was undercooked, actually almost uncooked in the center. Wine selection and enthusiastic recommendation: The Vivier Pinot noir. $21 glass. Smooth and rich tasting without being sweet. (All the wines by the glass and bottle are typical 4 to 5 times markup from retail. (Several Bay Area wine shops sell this Vivier Pinot Noir for $38 / bottle.) The best food of the meal? The desserts. We tried 4. Loved every single one. The best overall factor at this place: The service! From greeting to exiting the level of pampering is almost royal. Every server (we met 4) was calm, focused, attentive and knowledgeable. One of our party measures a restaurant satisfaction by the quality of service over the food. She was delighted here. So, for $75 per person this place offers great value. Given that upper end dining in ultra-touristy Healdsburg at the top 10 restaurants is horrifically expensive (ie; Single Thread), you can be quite satisfied with the Dry Creek Kitchen without emptying your bank account.

Yelp
An absolutely lovely, sophisticated evening at a beautiful restaurant. The perfect atmosphere for delicious tasting menu. After 5 days & nights, having group meals with various friends, Dry Creek Kitchen turned out to be the perfect date night spot. The room is very comfortable, and everything looked wonderful. We went with the 5 course tasting menu, and every course was delectable! My husband did the wine pairings, which were interesting & curated by our waiter. As opposed to a set wine, there were several that went with each dish, and as the waiter got to know my husband's palate, he poured the wine he thought my husband would enjoy. Very cool way of doing the pairings. The hamachi crudo was jaw-dropping. I could have eaten a whole plate of just that. But I'm glad I only had 1 because the next courses were wonderful. I especially enjoyed the short rib angolotti, another dish that would be a wonderful stand alone, with a glasss of red. The service was friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Really a wonderful evening!

Michelle M.

Yelp
Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Fantastic food. Great wine sommelier. Wonderful menu. Located adjacent to our hotel so perfectly situated. We had six people for appetizers, entrees and dessert, plus cocktails and two bottles of wine. Loved it and can't wait to go back.

Max F.

Yelp
STUNning. I stepped in last minute as a single walkin. I indulged in the 6 course meal and wine pairing. Truly lovely - impeccable food service including wine service .

Diana S.

Yelp
Beautiful menu, establishment and ambiance with scrumptious food and excellent service. My favorite was the hamachi crudo, with such balance of flavors and high quality fish. The stuffed cabbage is exciting and innovative. The seared duck was tender and paired with a deep rich sauce. The desserts were lighter than they appeared which is perfect to me. The servers were attentive and clearly knowledgeable about how the food is prepared. FYI: the bathrooms are located in another building across a courtyard in a hotel so if you have difficulty getting around, this could be impactful. The servers are super friendly and will show you the whole way over.

Mary T.

Yelp
Great food and ambiance. Service was outstanding . The weather was perfect for sitting outside. Music playing in the park. The sashimi halibut appetizer was delicious. I would have taken a picture but it got eaten too fast. I enjoyed my chicken. Great restaurant, would recommend.

Samantha B.

Yelp
Servers were friendly and attentive. Dining room was noisy and we were sat in the middle despite noting on our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. Food was a real disappointment- duck was cold and flavorless, grilled avocado was also flavorless. Clam chowder and bread were saving graces.

Gary J.

Yelp
Good for special occasion dinning Our meals were exceptionally good 4.5 Healdsburg gets 5 for their cluster of reallly good restaurants Food 5 Ambiance 5 Service 5 Menu - 1 you must pick 1 of 2 fixed price price options, a 5 item or the 7 item. We chose the 5. Way too much food; but, they were amazing. Best of the 5 where the Shrimp & Grits appetizer and the Mango desert "Bomb" (crazy delicious)

James R.

Yelp
Enjoyed a drink at the bar with Jess. Great vibe and excellent service. We're coming back tonight to try dinner.

Barbara S.

Yelp
I am very surprised by the overall review score of 3.5. I had a lovely meal here and an overall great experience. Upon entering (we were a party of 4) the staff was all smiles and welcoming. My only complaint at this point was that they sat us right in the front adjacent to the very busy bar. Maybe because we had an early reservation at 6:15pm, so next time I will make a point of asking for a table towards the back. At least the restaurant acoustics are pretty good so we were still able to chat over the loud bar crowd. The wait staff is truly wonderful, so attentive and always checking on us. We all went with the 3 course dinners. I must say they sure don't skimp on the portions here and the price of $75 seems just perfect to me. I started with the Himachi Crudo, simply delicious and fresh. Next I had the New York Strip steak and I learned that their medium rare is really more like a "rare", so next time will order medium. It was still really great though. The desserts are really great as well. All in all we had a great experience and will return.

Jim W.

Yelp
Pricey, great service, fixed price so stick to what you like. Great if over welcoming wine selection. Sea food over steak would be my choice should we return.

Eunice C.

Yelp
Great QPR! $75 per person for a 3-course tasting menu. Selections & ingredients are superb! I had the octopus, duck breast, & the tasting of ice-cream& sorbets. Portion is generous. Maybe much for smaller eater and probably just right for an avg sized make adult. The bread & butter pre-course was hard to resist. My friends love the Coppa, the swordfish, and the vegetarian choices too. Service was spot on. I recommend this restaurant if you are visiting this cute whimsical little town in the Sonoma county.

Karen C.

Yelp
My husband and I had our wedding reception dinner at Hotel Healdsburg, with the cocktail hour and four course dinner prepared by dry Creek kitchen. All of our guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! Separately, my husband and I went to rock Creek kitchen three months later. The weight staff was very attentive, our server was knowledgeable, and the oysters as well as scallops impeccably done.

D S.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner celebrating a birthday with a friend. The food was transcendent and the staff was amazing.

Sue K.

Yelp
Dry Creek Kitchen in Healdsburg has the most wonderful 5 course Chef's pre fixed tasting menu. It changes frequently so you'll want to go back again and again. If you're fortunate enough, you'll be served a most decadently delicious, perfectly prepared scallop. Dry Creek Kitchen is a beautiful and elegant restaurant with very attentive servers. A wonderful place to go for a romantic dinner. Very special.

Nicki K.

Yelp
The Food was amazing. The service was outstanding and ambience was a perfect setting for a dinner date.

Lynn S.

Yelp
My husband and I wanted to try the Sonoma Neighbor Menu on Thursday night. We love the ambiance of outdoor dining, which was perfect. We each decided to have one of each of the salad, entree and dessert and shared them all. The presentation, creativity and flavors were fabulous! Our waiter, Brian, was helpful with our wine selections. We all shared out culinary experiences, which was fun. He was very professional, but down to earth. We really enjoyed talking to him. He is an experienced waiter and it showed. We enjoyed out interaction with the bus boys. One was from Peru and one from Guatemala. They were so professional, well mannered and attentive to our table. So sweet both of them. We also enjoyed talking to Trevor, with the beautiful black wavy hair and great smile. All the staff were lovely and top notch! We enjoyed our experience very much and will recommend Dry Creek Kitchen to our friends. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely dining experience. Lynn S.

Sheila M.

Yelp
What an amazing evening at DCK in every way! With advance request, Chef Shane prepared a 5-course vegan tasting menu, including a special dessert created by Taylor, the pastry chef. Every course was creative, beautiful, and delicious with fabulous wines. GM Dan's hospitality was professional yet down to earth, making the evening feel extra special. The service by Courtney and the rest of the team was attentive without being intrusive, and the dining room exudes wine county elegance - lovely and relaxed at the same time. For all these reasons, DCK is absolutely my favorite restaurant in the area.

Layla Kailani M.

Yelp
We came here for a 50th birthday party. We had a prefix meal we had agreed upon ahead of time. Our reservation was for 7p. There were 17 of us and we had a private dining area. It took us over 25 minutes to get our first drink and then over an hour before we were served with our first course at 825. The first course was good, but nothing extraordinary or special. It took so long that the owner was generous enough to share a bottle of white wine (amongst 15 of us), because of the extraordinary delays. The third course was supposed to be a fillet mignon for me, which arrived well done when I had ordered it medium rare as any good steak should be cooked. There was no pink I could identify even in the center of the steak after cutting it in half (even looking with a flashlight). Then, when I brought this to the waiters attention, she replied with "I can see some pink in the very middle". No apology for the fact that we had been there for nearly two hours before receiving our entrées and the fact that my steak was completely over cooked. I asked for a new one and some twenty five minutes later it arrived, still beating and bleeding, A LONG TIME LATER- after the rest of the table was nearly done with desert. This is after we ordered two bottles of wine for a cool $600 (of which they added 20% gratuity to, Despite the fact that the server only came around to open it and pour the initial taste- never to return again, to pour a glass and not to return except after I was finally able to flag a server down to say my overcooked steak didn't look that overcooked. We had paid $180 per person (to include tip) with no drinks for this disastrous experience. The service was awful. We were constantly getting up to ask for basic things. Like a steak knife for example..... When we returned from this trip the host reached out to the owner to discuss our horrible experience and suggested the best way to rectify it would be to take care of the $450 bar tab for our cocktails. They refused. We were all floored. A table full of c suite execs and lawyers and business owners - how is this place still in business? After far too much time back and forth they finally offered a four person dinner for whoever returned, knowing full well none of us live nearby and none of us would want to roll the dice on this place again after their response (terrible service that day and following) to our very reasonable offer of compromise. What a disappointment. I would give zero stars if that was an option.

Patrick D.

Yelp
Such a nice anniversary dinner at this very chic dining establishment on the Healdsburg Square. We brought out own wine and they did not charge corking if the bottle is from Sonoma or Napa County. Very nice surprise There are many choices. You can have the fancy Schmancy 3 or 5 course dinners with showy food presentations and appropriate wine pairings. We stuck the a la carte menu and happy we did. Everyone receive their super hot, super fresh and superb focaccia bread. I got the wild mushroom rigatoni and my beloved got the salmon. Both sooo good! For sides we got the just picked garden vegetables and the unique and delicious potato dish. We topped it off with a 3 tasting ice cream dessert. I will certainly be back to this excellent restaurant in Healdsburg.

Mark G.

Yelp
The return of Chef Shane to Healdsburg has been a boon to this restaurant and re solidified its position as a great restaurant serving brilliant innovative Californian cuisine at its best!

Denise G.

Yelp
Perfect service thank you Dan and Chris and the best in Sonoma County Chef Shane for delicious food. Very impressed with the prime lion NY steak and pave potatoes, seared scallops over risotto cakes, shrimp dumpling! Highly recommended and love the attention for celebration, a must go

Gamal A.

Yelp
Really good food, very tasty and portions are good size. I had the shrimp salad and new york steak. Service is great and quick - I dealt with three different waiters due to changing shifts they were pleasant and friendly. Ambience is really cosy, especially on the patio outside. Really surprised that it is rated less than 4 stars. Would come here again

Tom T.

Yelp
Soooooo close! Generally, I don't knock off a star for service but this one got in my craw so I felt like I didn't have a choice...more on that later. We fell into the most amazing visit with this place...I will try and keep it short. We get to Healdsburg three and a half hours before our dinner reservation which was NOT at Dry Creek, but a tapas place down the road. But we're famished and figured we'd get a charcuterie plate to hold us over. We learn that the normal chef is out of town and a substitute is in...odd but okay. All of a sudden, out of the kitchen walks Charlie Palmer (like THE Charlie Palmer)...the substitute chef. So we get to chatting with the most amazingly charming Charlie Palmer and he tells us that we should try his restaurant in DC (I asked him what it was called and he responds with "Charlie Palmer Steak." So I ever-so-wittingly asked, "How'd you come up with that stupid name?" to which he responds, without hesitating, "Well, you gotta work with what you're given!" Brilliant!!!). Trust me when I say, I'll be going there when I'm back in DC. He's amazingly talented! (btw, the charcuterie plate was lovely!) Anyway, four nights later we were able to get a table at Dry Creek for dinner and the food was...incredible. You'll see the pictures but we had: Mellon & Lemon Cucumber Salad, the Warm Jumbo Prawns, the King Salmon, and the Prime New York Strip. Each more amazing than the next. (As a side note, the potato gratin that came with the steak was beyond description. You need to order it as a side if you can.) Right...the 4 star thing: The GM of this place is a rather weathered fellow who I think assesses customers when they walk in. He may not be as good at it as he thinks. Anyway, the night we were there, the place had a wedding of 60 in the back (we never saw him head back to the wedding party) and four active tables (including ours) in the front. He doted on the three other tables including offering one table (within earshot) a most amazing wine pairing line up that we would have ordered in a heartbeat (regardless of cost). Instead he travelled from table to table all night...except ours. I kind of felt like the riff-raff of the joint just because of him. His behavior was aggravated by the fact that there were only four tables active so we could watch it happen the whole time. It made us feel bad. Anyway, chances are he won't do this to you AND Charlie Palmer's food is beyond fabulous so you should go to Dry Creek. I think their Michelin Star may be returning soon...mark my words.

Yelp
I have never walked out of a restaurant without paying until our Mother's Day debacle here. Food may have been 4-star but service wasn't. We arrived on time for 6:30 reservation and by 8:30 only bread, water, cocktails and appetizers had been served. The waitress came by around 8:15 and casually topped off the water but said nothing! A few minutes later i flagged down a server and demanded to have the manager pay us a visit. After he was a no show we took leave. Never coming back.

Yelp
Very good, lovely meal with impeccable service. Scallops were cooked to perfection. Risotto was good with perfect brown butter sauce. We all enjoyed our dinner very much.

Yelp
The ambiance is elegance personified! If you like to feel that you are special by the surround that your seated in this is the place. I've eaten in most high end restaurants in Sonoma and none come close. Adam our waiter was a new level of wait staff with Westin's assistance our utensils, plates and glassware where flawlessly transitioned between courses. Adam with the conductor and the five course epicurean adventure was the symphony. Not only did he describe in detail the ingredients of each dish but gave us clues of what subtle tastes we might expect. The anticipation was only surpassed by the consumption. We wanted to experience the full arsenal of chefs Charley and Shane by participated in the five course fix menu. A delight from the shiitake mushrooms delicately sliced and placed atop a thin layer of miso broth through precious petite pillow sweet potato stuffed pasta, scallops drizzled with a subtle vanilla extract, duck breast floating in a picturesque melding of delicate sauces finished with a jus, melt in you mouth beef sirloin to an assortment of desserts fit for French aristocracy. In my view a culinary experience of a lifetime.

Yelp
Came here for a special occasion and was really really impressed. First of all the food was outstanding from beginning to end. They accommodated with a whole vegan tasting menu for someone in my party. And the service was 10/10 perfect. Highly recommend

Yelp
Had the Thursday Sonoma Neighbor menu last night. Pre-fixed 3 course menu at a very good price. Food was plated really nicely with great taste. Nice attentive service. Brought everyone's plates for each course at same time. Really appreciated that. Only minus was that the cannoloni (one of the available entrees) was a bit bland. Otherwise scrumptious food and desserts.

Yelp
We enjoyed the 3 course dinner and our server Anthony was great. I had the filet which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the salmon which was very flavorful. The focaccia bread was heavenly. I had to send my mixed green salad back because it was made with kale which I don't care for. I wish they would have said that on the menu. The Chocolate Peanut Butter bar was delectable.
