A 57-Year-Old Suburban Pizza Legend and Two More Closures - Eater Chicago

"After 14 years, D.S. Tequila Co. will hold its last service on Sunday, November 5. Known for raucous revelry, the owners plan to retain the space for special events while searching for a buyer." - Naomi Waxman

DS Tequila Company Review - Lakeview - Chicago - The Infatuation

"D.S Tequila was the first queer bar I ever stepped inside of when I moved to Chicago five years ago. Immediately after entering, I ran into two of my old basketball teammates from travel leagues. Twenty minutes later and halfway through one of their delicious fish bowls, I ran into old softball teammates (Yes, I know playing both basketball and softball is the most lesbian thing ever, I get it). This bar is just one of those places where I constantly run into old friends and say, “Oh wow you’re gay now too? That is not surprising!” The frozen drinks and giant fish bowls are the reason I show up and the friendly atmosphere and delicious tacos are what keep me coming back for more." - Abby Keller

Came here for their brunch Sundays with a group of friends. We sat out in their outdoor seating area and it was cool I loved the roof it was like a translucent gradient roof. Really neat. The food was tasty I had the Brunch Burger and the addition of syrup was game changing! I loved it, really well balanced flavor. Only knock I have is that by the bar there was this strange odor. No clue what could it be but didn’t bother me since we were seated outside.

Haven't seen 50 cent wing nights in a long time. I was upset it took over an hour because of traffic ( lsd lane closures, cubs game) ... but the wings and fries were pretty good. I liked the ambiance I wasn't crazy about my blue drink but I would come back.

The nachos and tacos were good. Mimosa fairy is really hard at work- always made sure to check in every now and then. I did not enjoy their vegan mushroom tacos but overall a great brunch experience.

Been stuck in the house for quite some time, a I decided to grab some lunch. During these times it’s always best to do reservation because of limited seating. This place has done a decent job of trying to make everyone feel safe about dining in. Plexi glass and screen protectors are set up in the patio area. To help people with anxiety about what’s going on, including me. Paperless menus. The food and drinks were amazing, the lemon pepper shrimp taco was to die for. LGBT friendly. The service was great, as the workers were very knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. Did I mention the lemon pepper shrimp taco? Located between the Belmont and Addison in CTA train stop. So if you are visiting the city, that could be a great way to explore the City of Chicago. 🤎KD

Solid spot for some good tacos, guac or other Mexican fare, they have good margs and a wild brunch on the weekend. Not much to share, the service is always great, servers are super friendly, especially Bobby, and the margs come out quickly. Ton of different options and they run specials during the week.

Completely renovated electric vibes. Wish I would have remembered to take more photos but I dove into my tacos so fast it completely slipped my mind 😂 they were unique and you could tell all ingredients were very fresh. 10/10 ⚡

We came on Thursday night on a whim. Had a great experience sitting at the bar. We watched the cubs game and order food and drinks. Would highly recommend making a reservation if you don’t want to sit at the bar or wait an hour.

Went here to celebrate pride month with some coworkers and their margaritas and taco salads are to die for. I love a good boozy pour and I could smell the tequila when our drinks came out. This restaurant definitely lives up to its name.
