Fantastic ramen. The poke bowl my husband got was good, but smaller than expected. Nice appetizers and drinks. Very good staff. Small indoor eating area, not for large groups. Overall delicious.

AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE. It was a rainy day and I was walking around looking for a place to eat. I hadn’t heard of this place so upon walking in, I was skeptical. However, when coming in, I was greeted politely and offered a seat. The atmosphere was so calming and pleasant. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen and the strawberry lemonade. I would 100% reccomend both! The ramen was perfectly flavored and spicy as well! For the price, the meal was worth it! My pictures don’t do it any justice because I had already started eating, but the preparation was beautiful! I also dropped my chopsticks and before I could pick them up, someone had already came to bring me new ones! The people here are super nice and the food is very filling! Definitely worth your time!

Excellent ramen shop in downtown town Los Angeles. Parking can be challenging but you can find something within two city blocks, so just a quick walk. We had the spicy Tonkostu ramen (medium) with soft boiled egg added. The broth is full bodied and rich in flavor. The pork belly was tender and delicious. The noodles are fresh and have the perfect consistency for ramen. It was $47 for two bowls of Ramen and a pint of Sapporo. The service was warm, inviting, and very friendly. We walked in on Sunday at 8:30pm were seated immediately and had our food within 15 min of sitting down. Worth checking this place out if you're near by or going to be in the area. Its 5 min from Crypto.com arena and the convention center.

We were here 2 days in a row as next to our hotel My husband tried chicken bakudan and I tried creamy spicy tofu Ramen one day and tuna poke bowl. We also had cold tofu And Mochi ice cream and cheesecake All things were great I really thought Ramen was just like I had in Tokyo And my husband loved the chicken bakudan Tuna poke spicy bowl was amazing. We added ginger to make more spicy All in all a very good treat and super satisfying within budget I think the mochi I cream specially matcha and mango are delicious and must try

This place fulfills the ramen craving! Service: 10/10 - staff acknowledged us and seated us at the bar. Food: 8/10 - spicy tonkatsu ramen had very thick flavorful meaty broth. The noodles are thick ramen and cooked al dente (springy). The pork was fatty and full of flavor! Surprisingly the pork gyoza was large, juicy and perfectly fried with a bit of crisp on the bottom. Drink: 10/10 - Sapporo on draft. Need I say more? Definitely would come back! Note: we went at 9:30pm at night and it wasn’t dangerous or safe… the area could be sketchy after dark. Stay alert and you’ll be fine.

This is a great hole in the wall! We stopped in because it was close to where we were staying and we couldn't be more impressed! I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, extra spicy, and it didn't disappoint! It had a nice heat without the "their just adding chili to add spice" heat to it. The noodles were nice and thick and fit the broth well. The star of the show was the pork! It had a nice char to it that gave it such flavor! We also ordered the gyoza that was very good! They're made bigger than I was expecting, so to some that can be a turn off, but I was fine with it! We also ordered the steamed cheese cake and it was very moist with food flavor! They also offer vegan or vegetarian options if there is someone in your friend group, or yourself! The vibe was super mellow and chill, and the staff that helped were friendly and attentive. I'd def recommend this place and hope to come back soon!

The ramen here is amazing! The broth is rich but not too rich where it's overwhelming. I've always had an issue with places that char their charsiu pork because I don't like my food burnt (not my style), but it's just slightly burnt so the smoky aroma isn't overpowering. I get the tonkatsu ramen with a soft boiled egg. I've also ordered the karaage appetizer, definitely has more meat than a crispy outside, but that's not a downside at all. They give a large portion out. My mom also got the tofu and cucumber side. She mentioned the tofu was cut quite big so she probably wouldn't order it again. I'm obsessed with the white chocolate matcha latte. I've stopped by the restaurant just to buy the drink.

fairly disappointed at this place. i was craving ramen so i stumbled upon this place. went in. interior was nice and had ample seating. server seated my friend and i immediately. we had the poke nachos, spicy tonkotsu ramen, and chasu bowl. the poke nachos were great. we were starving so when we had our poke nachos, we were stoked about how our other food was going to be. when we got our food, we were quite disappointed. presentation-wise, food looked amazing!! taste-wise, the food was bland. ramen tasted watered-down. i asked for a soft-boiled egg and it was $1.5 extra, which in my opinion was not worth, not because of the money but because it just felt like it was a complete different dish from the ramen. the chasu bowl was pretty disappointing too... when my friend and i had the poke nachos again, we realized that it tasted good to us because we were super hungry. tldr; great presentation, disappointing taste. would not waste my money here again.

I would rate this place a 4.5 stars. Came here with my co-workers after work. I ordered the regular tonkotsu ramen and loved it. Wish they had the shio ramen, but enjoyed eating the tonkotsu and added the soft boiled egg. Loved how the soup was super hot as I hate eating warm ramen and the noodles were perfect. Not too soft and not too hard. Will come back again to try their Vegan ramen as I heard good things about it.

We are regulars at DTLA Ramen and we love the place, the service and amazing food! In my opinion they have the best Vegan Ramen (and impossible gyozas (3 orders always) of Downtown LA. Emilia, is one of the incredible staff and is always happy to welcome us with open smiles! Thank you Emilia and everyone for always making our experience epic!

Despite having Spanish cooks, the food is decent. This wouldn't be the Japanese run authentic ramen place you would go. The spicy tonkotsu has thick chasu where some may appreciate. They use cabbage in the broth, so that's something I haven't seen real Japanese do in ramen. Ambiance is pretty decent. Service is decent too.

It was 1 o'clock on a bustling weekday, accompanied with a sprinkle of rain, when I, along with my merry band of 6 coworkers visited DTLA Ramen for a quick lunchtime bite. There's a lunch special deal for 1) Ramen 2) Appetizer and 3) Drink for $22.95. My eyes locked on the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen, a sidekick of crispy gyoza, and a Lychee Green Tea for my drink! The star of my lunch was the Lychee Green Tea! I first jumped at the fact that they had a lychee-flavored fruit drink, which set my heart afluter since it's my favorite fruit of all time. Why not give it a go? I was delighted I did as it did not disappoint at all! My picture-perfect ramen was also springy and chewy just like how I like my ramen. I couldn't resist the temptation to add an egg for an extra dollar - it was a small price to pay for the perfect soft-boiled egg. Admittedly, the portion was too big so I had to take most of the ramen home to enjoy...but hey, I am a huge fan of leftovers! In the end, my coworkers and I left as a happy bunch. Until we meet again, DTLA Ramen, I'll be back for more!

Always excellent and fresh. I wish there other Locations being I live in Huntington Beach now. Can't help it. It's so delicious. It's in the little quaint building but the atmosphere is so chill.

DELICIOUS ramen spot in the heart of DTLA! It was walking distance from our hotel (The Hoxton) and we were able to walk in and get seated on a Saturday night no problem. The service is minimal but the place is very small and intimate and doesn't require much. Plus the ramen is bomb, it takes the cake for the review! I would definitely come back or order take out if I lived in LA!

When I tell you this place was a hidden gym in the middle of Downtown LA.... I mean it! Was staying downtown in Los Angeles for the first time and while walking around I stumbled across this amazing blacked out ramen shop from the outside with no sign but simply just saying "RAMEN". I knew it had to be good and DTLA Ramen did not disappoint! The service was amazing as I was seated immediately and the server gave me the best recommendations. Started out trying the spicy garlic edamame and Karaage, which were both so fresh and delicious! For lunch I had the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen which I asked to be extra spicy. The noodles tastes fresh and not too mushy as I prefer my ramen noddles firm. Overall and amazing surprise and experience! Not to mention a hell of a deal if you go during the lunch special which you get the app and main for under 20$

I was attending an event and just happened to come across DTLA ramen. Omg, it was terrific!! Great flavor with plenty of options to please lots of palates.. Definitely plan on going back.. And some great merch.. Service was also very good. And some gorgeous artwork in the restroom.. Yum! Enjoy!

$16 ramen nowadays is an incredible price point and DTLA Ramen does not skimp on the quality. It's a pretty good portion sizes and either $4 for more noodles and $5 for more soup. Their gyoza is also made fresh in house and a bit pricey for $12 but is delicious. The cocktails and drinks are also wonderful - and all of these things have fantastic discounts for their daily happy hour, which id highly recommend. The restaurant doesn't have a ton of seating so don't come with more than a group of 4. Otherwise the restaurant is very nice and clean, plus the ramen bar is great for eating alone. The servers are very kind and speedy with lots of great tips and recommendations. Parking can be difficult, but that's how it is for downtown, so plan ahead.

Cool little ramen spot in Downtown LA. Just a few tables inside, aesthetic really cool with all the art on the walls, and server being really helpful. We also got here during happy hour(3pm-6pm) so it was slightly discounted on our ramen and beer! Spicy tonkatsu: 8/10 The broth was good but seemed a little thin to my liking. Typically prefer thicker brotha. Flavor was still there and had a really good kick it it(medium spice). The noodles were nice and firm, the broth stuck to the noddles which really helped both. The chashu belly was okay, was a little too chewy for me. Tsukemen: 8/10 The broth on the Tsukemen was actually really good. So much flavor and the right amount of saltiness with the chunks of meat. Comes with a big portion of noodles so don't worry about it not being enough. Only complaint was that the noodles were a over cooked. Definitely my go to option when coming back here.

The best vegan ramen I've ever had! We popped in here on a rainy day & it was pretty busy. I had the vegan gyoza & spicy creamy vegan ramen. I literally had to confirm the gyozas were vegan, they were so juicy, tender & a decent size. The ramen, however was the winner. The broth was creamy, spicy, & just all around delicious. We also added shiitake mushrooms. Ambiance is very casual. I can't wait to come back!

Was feeling a bit under the weather and decided to get ramen while on my lunch break at work. Walked here, was super close to my work. They sat me at the bar. Waiter was friendly. The place was modern and clean. I decided to order from the lunch special because I wanted hot tea and this included a drink, ramen and an appetizer for $22. Got the karaage chicken and the spicy tonkatsu ramen. Waiter asked if I wanted to add an egg for a dollar - little disappointed it didn't come with it. I said no. Chicken came out quick, it was pretty tasty. Ramen came out shortly after and was just okay. It was kind of bland. Overall a little disappointed, after tax and tip it was $30 for a mediocre lunch.

Service was friendly and we were seated super quick. We ordered the gyoza, which were large and tasty. The dipping sauce was so good! The spicy chicken rice bowl which was just the right amount of spice. I would've like a little more ginger shreds. The spicy tonkatsu ramen was good. It was a good spice level (even though it made my nose run). The added soft boiled egg only made it better. Overall still a winning location.

Decided to try DTLA Ramen once again after years since they first opened and boy I wasn't disappointed at all!!! Went there today with a friend of mine and we got the spicy tonkotsu ramen. I'm a ramen person so I know good ramen, and DTLA Ramen is a 10 out 10 Traditional pork broth with a spicy miso base, the best!!! Let's not talk about the yummy fried chicken karague and the gyoza! They're to die for. They also got Sapporo on draft and some pricey Japanese beers. We got the blonde NONEKO Belgian white ale. For all the beer lovers out there, that beer is a must try! They got some nice little tables by the wall as well as a mini bar which is cool and convenient. Homeboi Brandon always tryna give the best service too as well as the rest of the staff. Wouldn't hurt to say they also got a sum vegan friendly options for the "animal lovers" out there who don't eat meat. Bug off gimme the good stuff tho DTLA Ramen is poppin'

Great place for a quick lunch break in DTLA! I'd recommend the creamy vegan ramen, even if you aren't vegan. Creamy ramen!!! servers were great and quick. Inside is super cute with neon lights, Japanese decorations, and funny sayings like "only men I like is ramen". So funny.

Everything is good, the lunch special is a lot of food, you get choice of ramen, or a rice bowl with appetizer and drink of choice, I got gyoza, with spicy tonkatsu, & a drink. I spent no more then $30 here. I recommend going there right when opens which is at 11:30am, because it is a busy place & will her packed fast. Service was excellent, nice scenery, good vibes. I spent under a hour here, you can be in an out within 30 mins if you'd like. Food comes really fast! Perfect for a 1 hour lunch break if you're wondering! I will be eating here again!

I was pretty doubtful I would find a delicious tsukemen ramen outside of sawtelle in west LA, but we were in the area for a Clippers game and decided to try DTLa ramen out. The simple sign outside said "RAMEN" which is perfect for DTLA. I'm glad this wasn't a hoity toity bougie ramen joint. It's casual, friendly and delicious - just like how I like my ramen. The prices aren't outrageous... I found them reasonable. I got the tsukemen ramen which totally hit the spot. The thick noodles were cooked to perfection. Soft but still chewy, not over done and just exactly the right texture. The soft boiled egg was also perfection... Ooey gooey when you break it open. I also liked that it was served warm. Lastly, the broth.. it's this delicious thick ramen gravy with chunks of fatty pork belly meat. Wow . Just packed full of flavor and the proportions were perfect. I dipped every last drop of that stuff. They have a good variety of beer on tap too, which is ideal when paired w a bowl of ramen. All in all , great food, clean, and friendly servers. Definitely will be back!

This is a standard affair of good quality ramen. The shop has a very welcoming feeling with its friendly staff and warm decor. I always appreciate wooden table, it gives off an old world feeling to the ramen experience. The fried dumpling and karage were pretty decent. It's a nice appetizer to start this off. The main dish of ramen was the highlight. I love the rich thick broth. It was filled with flavor and umami. The noodles is very chewy and fresh. Overall I like it and would recommend others to try it out.

I ordered my usual spicy tonkatsu and when it arrived there wasn't enough broth to submerge my noodles.. I had to water it down. The 1 piece of pork belly included was 1 inch by 1 inch. That's not even technically an adult bite, let alone a "portion". I order all the time and tonight was such a disappointment. Do better DTLA Ramen! Especially when people are ordering and paying all these fees. Don't give them less than a kids size portion. NOT CCOL!

SNEAKY RIP-OFF! I came here a few weeks ago and I saw a small sign on the table with the Lunch Special. I asked the waitress what's included and she said any Ramen, an appetizer (as she went through several options) and a drink. I jokingly asked if beers are included and she said yes, what would you like? she said. I said Sapporo. I gave her my order. While food was decent, a bit salty, but for the price of all 3 it was decent so I tried it. Last week I came back and the same waitress waited on me. She remembered me and asked if I wanted the same lunch special so I told her yes. There was no mentioning of the Up-charges and the menu says nothing about the Up-charges. When I finished my meal, I just gave her my credit card thinking it's the same, at least nothing changed. I ordered the same thing. But when the bill came out I saw the upcharges and asked her about it. She went to the back kitchen and later came out and told me there are upcharges to certain items. I asked why didn't she tell me in advance, she just stood there and smiled. She didn't want to do anything about it. I still generously tipped her which hindsight I shouldn't have. Never again! Beware of this Sneaky practice hole in the wall!

I got the lunch special which was not only a deal, but yummy, too! I loved the spicy edamame and chicken ramen (I was able to substitute for the thin noodles, yay). The portions were substantial, so that meant lunch for the next day. After seeing the pic of the melon soda float, I had to treat myself to dessert. You should definitely give it a try.

In an attempt to not order DoorDash, I order DTLA Ramen to pick up. I was trying to save a little bit of money. However I did not end up saving money and everything totaled out to be around $30 for one Ramen bowl and an appetizer of Impossible Gyoza. Which personally, I think is a little steep. I got vegan spicy creamy Ramen. The broth was good and I got an egg added. Impossible gyozas are a hard pass. I don't know what cost so much but $30 for a bowl of decent Ramen and 4 gyozas seems a little steep, no? Unfortunately, I will be passing on this moving forward. What I did like is that service was great and everyone was super nice in greeting and on the phone.

Vibes are immaculate - we laughed at the punny decor and our server was so chill like everyone in Cali. I was in LA for a business conference and was craving ramen; DTLA was first on my suggested and it didn't disappoint. I ordered my usual tonkotsu ramen and my friends ordered the vegetarian option. We also tried the plant based gyoza. Ratio of noodles to broth were great, I just wished there were more veggies and meat. Overall amazing experience!

Took my parents here for their VERY first trying of Ramen. Can you imagine?! I was genuinely always wondering how they lived life never having ramen up until this point, but I knew it had to be done. I'm in town visiting from my new home of Chicago, and we were going to the Kings' game at Crypto nearby. They wanted to do the typical foods they were comfortable with at L.A. Live, and I was like NOPE. I forced them into trying ramen, and we came here. The irony of it being National Ramen Day even though we had no idea made it a clear sign it was overdue for them to try it finally. We had the absolute pleasure of being served by this younger guy with a blue hat who gave absolutely genuine service. He was super down to earth, and did a fantastic job of taking care of our dining needs. If I had to rate the ramen itself... it was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here. I had to Tonkotsu with a medium spicy level. I've definitely had better. My mom got a Tsukemen which I did like when I tried it, but I've also had better ones before. I'd rate the ramen here a 3.5/5 as someone who genuinely eats ramen fairly often. There's so many options in LA, and I'm glad this location exists near the historic core, but I'd probably rather venture a little further north to Little Tokyo to get better ramen. Because of the excellent service and the $2 off each ramen for National Ramen Day, I gave this a solid 4 stars. Solid option for sure!

I have my regular ramen spot but my friend and I were close to this one and he said it was good. Cute little spot with cool walls and a little patio area outside if needed. I ordered the spicy creamy vegan and added an egg (haha yea I'm not vegan but I'm weird about meat in my ramen). It was super flavorful and I really enjoyed it. It has thick noodles which was a little weird to adjust to since normally I have thin but not too big. Serve was friendly and simple. Definitely pleasantly surprised and would come again.

Came on a Thursday night and it was decently packed. All indoor tables were occupied but they had a bunch of counter seats available. Venue is really nicely designed, good interior aesthetics. I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen and it bomb. Broth- creamy, perfect to taste (not salty or bland), flavorful, spice was 1/10 even tho got the most spicy. Had to add extra chili oil and habanero seasoning. Noodles- chewy, thicc, and cooked just right!! Perfect! Comes with 3 REALLY REALLY tender pieces of pork belly! Wished there was more cuz it was $15 for the bowl. Egg is $1 extra. Staff was all super nice and attentive. Service was quick! 5-10min wait for food and 1min to order. Parking is in DTLA so good luck :) Sign up for their rewards! $10 off on your bday and they have rice bowls for $10 so could be free but their ramen is worth $5 after the discount

A good ramen spot in the heart of DTLA with very convenient take out containers that separate the broth from the rest in a tiered setup which makes it more convenient for travel. Decently priced with a solid vegan option.

This ramen was very not ramen for me. I got the spicy tonkotsu and it's a different tasting tonkotsu in the least. It didn't come with even a half an egg. So it just not worth the price. The karage was great. The pieces were lean and good sizes! I enjoyed that with their dipping sauce. I got ToGo and they could package it better for travel. To avoid possible tampering but grub hub came quick! There's just better ramen if that's what you want.

Phenomenal service, simple noodle selection, flavorful sake drinks. I went with a mild spice, the pork broth was well seasoned and the noodles were just right. Pork belly was a little heavy on the fat side but overall a very delicious bowl of nooods!

Came here for lunch with my youngest kid, my nephew, and my niece, to get something to eat away from the LA Comic Con crowd. It's literally one block away from the garment District, and about eight blocks away from the Staples Center. After a pretty lengthy walk, we showed up and was able to get in right away and sit down. This is a little shop seats probably about 20 people at the most and was nicely decorated. So now onto the menu, they had a pretty basic menu. Nothing to die for however, the (2)tonkatsu and the (1)1spicy tonkatsu is what we ordered with a (1)Poke bowl. We also ordered the Cocoa Matcha tiramisu, and a few of the mochi, which, unfortunately went too fast to take a picture of. So the Tonkatsu and Spicy Tonkatsu were tasty again yet nothing to die for my youngest, said the Poké bowl was pretty average as well and needed more flavor. The cocoa Matcha tiramisu was very tasty, and seem to be a very popular menu choice. This was the star of my lunch. The mochi, which we didn't have a picture of because everybody scooped them up like popcorn was very good. We ordered the Matcha flavor mango flavor, strawberry and chocolate. These were typical mochi however, the mango and the Matcha were very good. The strawberry was average and the chocolate was absolutely horrible. To be fair I did tell the waiter how horrible, I believed the chocolate was, and he offered another one I chose to pay it forward it to the next person that ordered the mochi order if they would throw one in for free for those people just not the chocolate. Total cost $104.89 for lunch for four not horrendously expensive but I just went for lunch.. Overall it was a good lunch probably my last time there unless they run a buy one get one special,which in LA is highly unlikely.

Love coming here on the regular!. Such a cozy spot in the heart of DTLA. The food here is bomb.com!. My favorites are the Poke Nachos, Chashu belly rice bowl, the impossible gyoza & you definitely gotta try their sake cocktails!. The service here is very friendly and attentive :)

Satisfying neighborhood ramen joint. This ain't ramen nagi or Tsujjta but it's one of the better dtla options. This was 2nd visit and I've tried their mazeman and their spicy tonkatsu ramen as mains. Have also had their takoyoki, gyoza, and karage. Service also good--nothing to write home about. Will be back to try the dipping ramen. (4/5) spicy tonkatsu ramen. Filling, good umami broth. A little light on meat. Egg was also over cooked. I really like the thick noodles they use. (2/5) mazeman. Disappointed in this one. This was recommended on the menu and by the waitress. Mazeman is essentially "dry" ramen. The noodles and toppings are served without broth. I liked the addition of lime in this dish. Overall this one lacked any real flavor. I felt like I was just eating noodles. (3/5) gyoza. Japanese potstickers. Nice sized. Small portion. A little hastily prepared as the filling fell out of the wrapper. Dipping sauce lacked flavor. Couldn't tell if it was soy or vinegar. (4/5) such a hard dish to find in LA--Vet's high marks just for that. This is essentially Japanese octopus pancake balls. Served with bonito fish flakes and yummy mayo sauce. (4.5/5) karage. Nicely marinated boneless Japanese fried chicken. Liked the crunchy batter and the spicy Mayo dipping sauce was bomb.com.

Came in with the kids and so glad they had kid options at a ramen place. Food was amazing! The service was immaculate they were so kind. The beer options were great and glad I was able to get one dealing with these kids lol but overall great place, good vibes and definitely plan on coming back.

This is the ramen shop to which I compare all other ramen shops to in Los Angeles. As someone who lives in DTLA, I've tried so many but I keep coming back to this one. Their broth is so rich and the pork is always so perfectly cooked. Service is always snappy and the ambiance is nice and quaint as it's a small spot; has a very neighborhood-y vibe.

Comfortable seating - there are some outdoor bar tables and indoor seating. The service people here are attentive and kind. They are willing to answer any questions. I had the vegan ramen and my friend had the spicy tonkatsu ramen and we both loved our dishes - it was the perfect temperature, spice level, and clean presentation. The vegan broth is bomb!

Come here! I go here regularly and I'm obsessed with this place! Ramen so bomb and I always get the Chicken ramen or the Spicy pork. I don't go to any other place for Ramen and the lady who is the manager with the tattoos , nose piercing is always top tier to me! This place always friendly, crew is great and food Is amazing ! You won't be disappointed !!!!

Spent over $40 dollars to have spicy ramen delivered and I got a half full bowl, next to no onions etc and absolutely no utensils. Come on no chopsticks!! Never again! Sooo disappointed and I really was excited about this as I'm not feeling well and ramen is always a nice cure for a cold!
