The Best Pho in Atlanta

"Dua on Broad Street in Downtown Atlanta serves up a variety of Vietnamese dishes. But as soon as you spy the restaurant’s logo, which includes a steaming bowl of pho, you’ll know what to order. The small interior is usually bursting with hungry GSU students waiting on carryout orders. Dua isn’t doing anything particularly novel with their pho (they offer all the usual meats along with shrimp and veggie options), but the broth is flavorful and the bowls are packed with a decent amount of noodles and cilantro. When we’re downtown and craving a bowl of hot broth, Dua’s always provides a quick, casual, and reliably good option." - juli horsford

The food here is exceptional. I wasn’t sure what to expect upon initial arrival, but I was pleasantly surprised by the incredible flavor of my dishes. I can safely say the shrimp fried egg rolls were some of the best I’ve ever had in my life. I’m a huge fan of those now. I might just go back and get 10 of them 😂 The atmosphere was really relaxed and the volume was relatively mild. It was low enough for me to be able to read in peace while waiting on food. Customer service is top notch and they’re very helpful at all times. 10/10 recommend.

The cuisine at this establishment is exceptional; it was so delightful that I returned for a second visit. Although I am not a resident of Georgia, I consider this restaurant a necessary stop whenever I am in the area. The Pork Banh Mi is among the finest I have ever experienced. Additionally, I found the Grilled Lemongrass Chicken to be equally enjoyable and highly recommend it. I strongly endorse this venue for anyone who appreciates Vietnamese cuisine. Having traveled to Vietnam, I can confidently say that this restaurant offers a taste that is remarkably close to authentic Vietnamese flavors in the United States.

Google
I ordered Pho but got Mixao instead. I decided to keep it because I was hungry. It was fresh, hot and very good. The chicken was very tender but the noodles were a little dry. I’d like to return and try the Pho. The place was also very clean.

I frequent the midtown location regularly to treat myself. On this particular day, I decided to visit the Hapeville location and order my usual , Lemon Grass chicken. I called my order in, the person who answered took my order and said ok. When this was shown to me, I immediately declined it because the Lemon Grass Chicken doesn’t look like this at my usual location. I pointed to a picture of what it usually looks like. I was told, no this is Lemon Grass chicken. The server even called it something else during him presenting it to me. After I viewed the menu, Lemon Grass wasn’t even on their menu. If they did not serve it, why didn’t the person who answered tell me that. I am so disappointed appointed. I will never patronize this location again… Instead of a treat… this was more like punishment. Signing off disappointed.

Google
This is a great spot for some really good pho. It’s in midtown Atlanta. I love Vietnamese food. I definitely love pho. If you’ve never tried it, this is a good first one. The broth has a wonderful flavor. They also have all the original ingredients. They also have really good Thai tea. I didn’t try three appetizers because pho is very filling. But, I would suggest giving them a try if you have never had Vietnamese food.

Google
First time trying Dua. Had the shredded pork with rice. Flavors were spot on. I had my doubts about the fish sauce but it actually made it much better. The spring rolls were good, nothing crazy about them. Service was very friendly with their help on selections. Need to go back and try the Pho next time!

Google
Love vegetarian Pho, but unfortunately at this location, they do not have the vegetable broth Pho. I hope they will include it in the menu someday. We ordered for dinner Basil tofu fresh rolls, spicy lemongrass tofu with rice and vegetarian bun with noodles. The rolls were so fresh and flavourful. The bun noodles were well seasoned , the tofu with the sauce was quote delicious. And also the lemongrass tofu was amazing. Great Food... Would definitely come back and highly recommend 👌

Visited DUA Vietnamese after a busy day at the Georgia Aquarium and it was exactly what was needed. After walking all day and having fried food for lunch, a soothing and fresh meal to end the day was the best way to end the night. I ordered the House Pho which came with a combination of several meats (beef, flank, meatballs, etc.) and it was delicious. There was just enough meat and noodles to finish off the bowl with just broth at the end which was slurped up without haste! The bowl also came with bean sprouts, jalapeños, lemon, and mint. I love adding the crunch of bean sprouts to my pho so those were a great addition. Along with the House Pho, my wife ordered the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, a noodle dish without broth and still plenty of flavor. My wife described the meal as delicious and absolutely one of the best things she’s had while we’ve been in Atlanta. The sauce that it came with was sweet while sprinkled with chili flakes making it a sweet add-on while not adding too much spice. The pork was tender and the dressing complimented it well along with the egg roll in it which was crunchy yet satisfying and had great flavor which added to the bowl. Overall it was a delicious meal and the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice and soothing. It felt as though they just waxed their floors which provided even more of a shine which was great, but also somewhat dangerous because it was very slippery. The staff were nice but didn’t necessarily seem to care too much. You ordered, sat, and that’s it, beyond that they didn’t care about anything else, once you were done ordering they were just straight faced and monotone. Would rate this place higher if I could on a food scale and can’t wait to visit again in the future!

Yelp
This place hits the spot Everytime. It's so good that my friend and I have deemed this place our monthly friendly pho outing spot! The ambiance is serene and peaceful. And the staff is super nice! Definitely recommend!

Yelp
I used to always go to their downtown location when I was in undergrad and get the spicy tofu. Trying this location again: Beef was tender and flavorful. The broth was decent but a tad salty. However I don't think this place is very clean (see the fish). Also, in the middle of her cutting the fish, she took someone's order without taking off/ putting on new gloves yikes.

Yelp
It is consistently delicious and fairly priced. I never end up leaving hungry or unsatisfied. Though It would be cool if they had a lunch special. Service is fast, excellent and very thoughtful. Inside has plenty of seating. Comfortable chairs and natural of lighting with big open windows. What you do is order first at the counter and they give you a table number to find you when your food is ready. What I normally order is the combination house pho, spring rolls, grilled pork banh mi, and shaking beef. -house pho: combo of all the meats. So much variety and noodles. SOO good with tasty broth. I add a little extra salt -spring rolls have pork and shrimp. The pork is seasoned and grilled. Different but I love it! Filled with herbs and noodles too -pork banh mi: yummy grilled pork but I will say the size could be bigger for $10 and the bread.. not sure if it's store bought or purchased at a home made place. Definitely not made in house -shaking beef: comes with pickled veggies and noodles! I normally like it with rice The flavor is spot on and the portions are perfect. I enjoy my visits and all the staff takes care of every guest with care every time. I love the smiles I get from my boyfriend and family When I bring food home from here. Officially a regular!

Yelp
Literally one of the best pho I've ever had. I'm very particular about my pho, and it's hard to get actual good pho these days. But their beef pho was amazing.. the broth was so good itself that I didn't even need to add sauce into it. The shrimp dumplings were good as well, but I wished the sauce had more flavor to it. The ambiance inside was very nice and clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered this to be delivered. Got a vermicelli noodle bowl, and they were cool and gave us half pork half chicken. The pork was cooked fairly nicely, but the chicken ran really salty. The noodles were also way too soft. They had lettuce and pickled carrots and radish, but some herbs like thai basil and mint would have elevated it. Randomly, the eggroll with it was amazing even though it was take out. It haf great filling and super crunchy while not being greasy. I normally don't eat much fried food and ate the whole thing. If you are near it and hungry, not bad in a pinch, however, not a destination.

Yelp
I've been eating at DUA since 2015 and still consistently amazing and the best pho I've EVER had! 10/10.

Yelp
Super cute and quiet location. Street parking or parking deck. They valet your parking depending on the parking lot you parked in. First time have pho and it was so good ! I would definitely go back for the pho.customer service was great, very kind and friendly.
google avatar

Brittany T.

Yelp
Love this place. Hot flavorful beef pho with all included garnishings and plentiful fine sliced steak. Add a few drops of hot chili oil for spice. Also, the portions are appropriate for the price. clean, comfortable, casual dining experience and they validate parking.

Yelp
I work nearby on 14th Street and me and my employees consistently enjoy dining here. The customer service and food are great and the prices are a great value for the portion sizes. I took a group of five people here tonight for one of my employee/friend's birthday. The dining space is airy and spacious. Patrons order at the counter and then staff will bring the food to the table. The menu has options for vegetarians and carnivores. My husband ordered the B6 Pork, and Egg vermicelli noodles bowl and loved it. I ordered the B3 Bun bowl with spicy tofu served over the vermicelli noodles. It was excellent! The rest of my group ordered the Poke bowls and stated that they were delicious! The bathrooms are clean and spacious. We love this restaurant!!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite pho places in Atl. I've been looking for a pho place that can make their pho very spicy and this place is on point with that! Service is good and ambiance is cute.

Yelp
Dare I say best Pho in Atlanta . I've gone here many times but had tried other places just to see if I can find any better and no luck. This place is a quaint place in midtown, a good amount of seats and such lovely workers. You order at the counter & depending on if it is crowded or not they will give you a number to bring to your table. Food here comes out very quickly and the depth of the pho soup is exactly what makes it so delicious. I typically get the beef pho, and the mixed beef pho without meatballs and every time I am in glee eating it. Such a feel good meal for me. It's a good amount of food too, I always leave full & satisfied. I've brought plenty of people here & they all love it too. I stick with the pho because it's just that good, but one day I'll try another dish. Everyone that I have brought there has loved their meals pho or not. This place does Vietnamese right! (They validate parking as well in the parking deck next to Tabla)
google avatar

Aminata B.

Yelp
I get the same thing everytime and it's always so good. I get the Bun bo Hue spicy broth house pho. 10/10 also the beef dumplings 10/10
google avatar

Eryn H.

Yelp
I really enjoyed dua, even though it's in midtown they do validate for parking so I appreciated that. I ordered the meatball pho which was really good and the shrimp eggrolls which were fried to perfection. The customer service was good as well: The only reason I give them 4 instead of 5 stars is because the menu selection could have been more extensive. All in all I would definitely be back.

Yelp
I came here mid October after returning from a business trip. I was feeling under the weather some came here to warm myself up, and they delivered! I got the house pho with beef, side of fried egg rolls, and Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything was superb and there was ample seating in the restaurant.
google avatar

Fran Kristine R.

Yelp
I have been to different locations but this one was also good! They validate parking so make sure to park behind the restaurant. I had their chicken pho and it was so flavorful! The chicken was mostly dark meat which gave it depths of flavor! Food came out quick and the lady at the register was nice. The restaurant was easy to find and clean on the inside. I honestly like this location better than the other one in Atlanta.

Yelp
I just found my new Pho spot. The broth was so flavorful and hearty. The service was also quick and thorough. The building is industrial, but located in a cute spot. Definitely give this place a try.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was amazing, fresh and flavorful. Portions are good. I got extra meat on my order. However it wasn't really necessary. The prices are good and the space was clean and welcoming. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Great food. Great people. I highly recommend DUA for dine-in or takeout. I go at least twice a month! Yes, it's that good!

Yelp
Ordered takeout from here my first night in Atlanta. My one complaint is that their phone number doesn't work. It's the same number on Yelp and Google, but I tried calling multiple times over the course of 20 minutes and it always went straight to voicemail. Because of this, I wasn't sure whether the restaurant was even open but decided to try my luck anyways. I really wish I could've called in my order ahead of time so I didn't need to spend an extra 15 minutes at the restaurant waiting. They mostly serve Vietnamese dishes here (pho + other noodle soups, rice dishes, vermicelli bowls, and stir fried noodles, but they also randomly have poke as well for some reason. I came Tuesday evening around 8 pm and the restaurant wasn't too crowded. I ordered B1, bun thit nuong cha gio i.e. grilled pork and egg roll over vermicelli noodles, for $14.95. They were in the process of completing a HUGE takeout order, so I had to wait ~15 minutes for my order. Once I got it, I made straight for my hotel room to eat. The grilled pork was super flavorful, the egg roll crispy, and my god the vermicelli noodles were incredibly smooth. Both the salad and the vermicelli went really well with the pork. If you can't tell, I really enjoyed this meal! I didn't expect for my first meal on my Atlanta trip to be Vietnamese food, but no regrets! I'll take this over fried chicken or shrimp and grits any day :D

Yelp
Purchased a meal I have purchased at least 10x before. It was terrible. When I called the restaurant to let them know, they tried to tell me how they prepared something I have eaten many times before. Obviously they do not want to make this right.

Yelp
Eh. I'm shocked... in the worst possible way. I hope the people I recommended this place to went to the Hapeville location. Surprisingly the quality of my experience at this one in midtown was absolutely nothing like Hapeville. It was literally like a completely different restaurant all together. I'm not sure if they have a recipes that are unique to them or what, but I only chose to eat here based upon my experience at the other location which I've been to several times. I'm big on consistency and every time I've been to DUA Hapeville it's always been consistently amazing so for this one in midtown to be so strikingly different in presentation, quality, and taste it was a huge letdown to say the least. Even if you haven't experienced their other location I wouldn't suggest dining here. It's just close by my house so I went never in a million years expecting such a stark contrast. There are so many different options in the area you'd be better off going to a drive-thru. I know I will not make that mistake again.

Yelp
Good basic pho to go. Your review needs at least 85 characters. Add a few more thoughts to post review.

Yelp
I've been here quite a few times now (so this will be a mix of a few reviews). Walk in and order at the counter. They'll give you a number and bring out your food to your table. I usually get the spring rolls and either the beef pho or the pork vermicelli noodles (pictured). Spring rolls are pretty good and standard - no complaints and fairly filled! The vermicelli is yummy and a pretty large portion. Lots of pork, carrots, noodles, and egg rolls with fish sauce I usually pour on top. The beef pho is also very yummy and is a pretty large portion. Lots of meat and noodles are included (and no tripe, which I personally dislike LOL). Everything is great, which is hard to say about most Vietnamese places outside of Buford Highway! It seems very unassuming but I assure you the food is good. I always recommend this place for some easy pho nearby in Midtown!
google avatar

Robyn M.

Yelp
In town for a work trip and was looking for something fast and delicious- the Yelp reviews drew me in. Incredible! The food was so fresh and tasty and the staff is lovely. I had B3- a vermicelli bowl with spicy tofu. I added an egg roll chopped on top. Amazing and flavorful! My coworker enjoyed her poke bowl.

Evan M.

Yelp
This is the best Pho you will get in Atlanta! We eat here at least once a week. Give it a shot if youre in the area!

Nicole G.

Yelp
Food is SO good! My kids and I love Pho and we all agreed that this is the best one we've tried! The broth is so flavorful and the fried egg rolls with shrimp are so good. The guy that helped us was so nice and friendly. We will definitely be back here! This place is a 10/10!
google avatar

Deborah P.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! Order at the counter but they bring your order out with napkins,Chop sticks and all, friendly service. The poke bowls were delicious and fresh! Great flavor and very filling. We got two meats. Didn't finish the bowls. Lots of to go orders. Lots of Locals. Busy! The PHO bowls looked unbelievable delish and we will go back to try them. Enjoy, we did, Every bite!
google avatar

Kenneth P.

Yelp
It was good pho. Generous with the meat. Not as big servings as you get on Buford Highway.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
This place is super fresh and very good. The guy at the register was very kind and informative about the restaurant.
google avatar

Nisha B.

Yelp
Went here for the first time today. First and foremost, the parking situation was very difficult. We had to drive around the block a couple of times to find a spot. We thought that maybe the parking deck across the street would validate but it didn't so we had to drive in and then drive out. We finally found a parking spot on the street across from STK. We walked in and ordered at the counter. The food was ready quickly, probably 5-10 minutes after ordering. We ordered the tofu bun bo hue and the beef bun bo hue. It is incredibly spicy! But I think it's pretty good. Probably a little too spicy for my taste so I don't think I'd order it again. The ambiance is quiet, Probably 8 tables or so. The bathrooms needed to be serviced. It seemed to be running out of everything. It's a no frills restaurant if you're looking for Vietnamese soup.
google avatar

Yelp
Whenever I'm craving a bowl of pho, but don't want to drive out to Buford Highway or Duluth, DUA Vietnamese is the best spot I've tried in the Midtown area. I typically get the House Pho which includes a variety of meat, a healthy portion of noodles, and clean and warm beef broth. As a self-proclaimed pho connoisseur, I think they give a great variety of beef cuts such as flank, steak, and meatballs. If you get it to-go, they also provide you with a baggie of bean sprouts, fresh herbs, jalapenos, limes, and a little container of hoisin and sriracha sauce (dip the meat in this sauce, trust.) I love how clean the broth always is as well. If you've had pho, you know the broth can be a little oily at times, which makes the dish pretty heavy overall. Of my probably 10 times I've ordered from DUA, I have yet to experience oily broth - which is saying alot! Not to mention, the broth is still packed with flavor and truly ties the whole dish together. I've tried the Bun Bo Hue here once, and while it wasn't very memorable, I think they fell short for me on the noodle type. Traditionally, Bun Bo Hue is served with thick, round rice noodles, however the noodles I received were thin, and seemingly did not compliment the dish in the same way. Overall - totally recommend coming here if you're looking to get a bowl of pho in the middle of the city!
google avatar

Hailey R.

Yelp
I eat here at least once a week for lunch and love to get their poke bowls! While the price is a little steep, all the ingredients are fresh and the bowl you get is very big. And bonus: avocado doesn't cost extra! I usually have enough food for two meals :) Service is always quick and friendly whether you take your meal to go or dine in the restaurant. Haven't personally had their Vietnamese dishes, but my boyfriend says it's some of the best he's had! It always looks fantastic, but I'm usually craving the poke.
google avatar

Niaz P.

Yelp
This place looks wise doesn't look the most appealing, but it's one of the best Vietnamese places I've had. There's parking in the decks nearby. There's seating inside and out. It's an order at the counter type of restaurant and then they bring the food out to you. It wasn't the most quick but it wasn't too slow for the food to come out. And it was worth the wait. The noodles were tasty and all of the add ons were cooked perfectly. It was also a lot of food! You do get your moneys worth.
google avatar

Brittney H.

Yelp
Quiet, wonderful food and wonderful service! My husband had the build your own poke- it was all fresh ingredients, and was plenty of food. I had the beef pho, and it was amazing! Definitely will be coming back.
google avatar

Samantha F.

Yelp
Loved the food here! Very delicious pho and great service! Highly recommend to anyone in the area

Yelp
Good food. Good service. Quick as well. The vermicelli noodles were good and so were the egg rolls.

Domo K.

Yelp
I'm sorry I should've known something was wrong when I went up in there and didn't see one Vietnamese person in site Americanized pho! it just didnt have that authentic touch!!! Had a Flavor of its own 4/10 for me nice restaurant tho

Parnian V.

Yelp
This was great. Broth was light and not too salty; I've been sick lately and this made my nose run... all the way to better health. I'll be back.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
We ordered to go as we needed some food for the flight back home the next day. Glad we got Dua to go. I got the vermicelli with pork and egg roll. It was good even after a day. Pork had a good grill to it and tasted flavorful. Can't speak for the egg rolls because next day it was mushy, but still good stuffing. My friend got the mi xao and she enjoyed it. We really wanted to try their pho, maybe next time!
google avatar

Lesley G.

Yelp
Great food, relaxing atmosphere. Fantastic service. I had no idea what to order, and the lady who took my order was so helpful.
google avatar

Jeff N.

Yelp
Great spot to check out while we were in midtown. We asked what were some good recommendations. We went with an order of Spring Rolls & Pho. The Pho bowl was pretty big. When we went, it was busy and parking was easy & free.
google avatar

Antonio R.

Yelp
I visited DUA Vietnamese noodle soup with a group of friends on a Friday night. It was not super busy. We got a table, looked at the menu, and went up to the counter to order. I ordered a poke bowl with two scoops of protein. You can mix and match the protein. It was delicious and well worth the value. I would definitely come back here again.
google avatar

Courtney F.

Yelp
A friend of mine recommended Dua and today was my first visit. I always look forward to trying a new restaurant, however during my visit I was throughly and utterly disgusted by what I witnessed from an employee. The employee was making one of the sauces they offer, while making the sauce the employee dipped her bare finger in the sauce and licked it to taste it. After licking her finger she proceeded to add additional ingredients to the sauce. Once she was done she returned to taking orders and preparing food (she never washed her hands). I'm sure this is a common practice base on how casually the employee did it while customers were in the dining room. I will NEVER dine here again and neither should anyone else.
google avatar

Anida M.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab some food for the airport and was intrigued by the mixao. I often get vermicelli noodles with pork but I had never seen egg noodles, so I just had to try it! It was amazing! I got the pork mixao, which had a lot of noodles, plenty of delicious veggies, and the pork was flavored well. It's not shredded as you would expect by the description, more like thinly sliced and grilled. The staff was very friendly and helpful.. I can see why this place is a hit!
google avatar

Tanni D.

Yelp
DUA's was my go-to-place for poke bowls pre-COVID. I haven't been back during the pandemic until yesterday. The kind and accommodating staff are still serving meals with fresh ingredients that taste amazing! I always order a poke bowl. This time, I customized it to include brown rice with salad, spicy tuna, salmon, spicy soy marinade, and a variety of fresh veggies. I also got the spicy aioli and sweet mango aioli on the side. My friend who introduced me to DUA's years ago ordered the Bo Luc Lac and loved it!
google avatar

Tony T.

Yelp
We were visiting from out of town and craved some authentic Vietnamese food. Read great reviews about this place and decided to give it a try. We ordered the beef pho, goi cuon, bun dac biet. Great taste and good portion. The owner was very friendly and the place very clean.

Yelp
We were in town trying to find a lunch spot and this came up. We were excited to try. Note the location address isn't quite accurate as the entrance is on Crescent. We walked around a bit because of this. I ordered a No. 6 with shrimp and hubs ordered the vermicelli bowl with chicken. We grabbed our number and found a table. The food comes in short order and the bowls are huge! No fret, we're borderline hangry. I thoroughly enjoyed the noodle soup broth, hint of sweetness. I did notice the garnishments were a bit unique as it included spring greens along with bean sprouts and a like slice. There were some jalapenos slices, though nothing that added much heat. Hubs enjoyed the chicken bowl. I was intrigued by the spring roll and was about to grab one off his bowl. Solid lunch spot overall.

Yelp
Customer service: Excellent! The guy that was ringing me up was very patient in explaining to me how to order and gave great recommendations. From the time we entered the restaurant to leaving he was so kind and sincere. Food: I got the Bun Bo Hue with pork and vermicelli noodles. OMG! SOOOO GOOOOOD! I dumped all of the veggies on the small plate in my bowl and squeezed the lime in. (You'll know what I'm talking about when you order it). If you want a safe choice, get that soup! It is so flavorful and is very filling. My friend got the beef pho. He seemed to be very pleased with his selection. Atmosphere: We ate outside (for Covid reasons and it was so nice out!). The outside seating has that typical midtown outdoor eating vibe; very chill and relaxed while people watching. Would I recommend? Yes! Especially to people who like very flavorful noodles and soup. Will I be back? Absolutely!

Gregory B.

Yelp
We have enjoyed eating pho at Dau, near our Midtown condo. Entirely disappointing phone order today. The beef pho on the menu was replaced with no notice by "spicy noodles" we did not want and could not eat. The broth was cold and too spicy. The order included zero bean sprouts and zero basil - very usual pho condiments. A large wad of unexplained SALAD instead. When we discovered the many flaws in the order, we phoned Dau before eating anything. The manager offered no customer service; blamed everything - even the contents of the delivery - on UberEats. We are through eating at Dau. The cold soup went down the sink.
