The Best Karaoke Bars In Philadelphia - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"When you need a low-key place where you can avoid running into your ex while belting out “All By Myself,” head to Duba Karaoke and Pub in Elkins Park. It’s a small, casual spot in the rear of a Korean cafe. That means you’ll have an intimate karaoke experience, and they have some fantastic dumplings and super crispy fried chicken. They have eight private rooms and a rotating library of Korean, Chinese, and English pop songs that they update monthly. They’re one of the most popular Happy Hour spots in the neighborhood, so we imagine some of the best karaoke nights here happen after an afternoon of discounted liquid encouragement." - candis mclean

Google
I gave it a three because, he rooms were small, The Karaoke concept is not good, I prefer karaoke with the public, it's too closed in. The food was not what it was supposed to be. The boneless chicken is like skin and dough. It was not all hip and hype how people were taking about it. It's an okay place. It was cool that they made me a ngroine cocktail although it was not on the menu. It was well made. The security was too imposing and annoying. While I was smoking outside he came and kept talking to me when I needed time to myself. The gratuity is included in price so I didn't tip what I really wanted to. Overall 3.5/5 rating.

Google
What made our evening the best was the people we invited because the staff wasn’t very welcoming at all.. as soon as we came down the steps, the greeter looked as if he had an attitude. The food was not good. The best thing was the wings but I mean and they give you a six piece for $13 or something like that so I would expect nothing less for tht pricepoint. The boneless chicken tenders were mushy and not good the honey butter chips were cooked in old oil that needed to be changed. The french fries bland and the taste of old oil and chicken grease. They also made so-called honey butter for the chips, but it was just melted down butter taste horrible very salty nothing honey about it .Gratuity was taken out and I see why they do that because their service isn’t good and with the service that they provide, they would not get any tips from anybody without taking gratuity out prior ……unless they shape up their attitude and service. Multiple times food was brought in and just sat on the closest table to the door Didn’t even ask to see where it was going. Overall, I would not recommend. (Also booking prior on the phone. They gave our timeslot away because they put down the wrong date and time so they definitely need new workers all around or those workers just need some education. And an attitude adjustment.😂

Google

We had a great time here for a friend's birthday! Definitely a fun place to reserve for a group that enjoys karaoke.

Google
I had my daughter's 21st there last night and honestly it was such a great experience!!! We all had a blast! Everyone there was wonderful the Capri sun drinks are on point! Get the mango! I will definitely be going back! The private room was absolutely amazing!

Google
It was such a great experience! Everyone loved it, we get our private room to sing to our heart’s content. Food was delicious. The service was beyond spectacular very kind and helpful. 10/10 would recommend. Definitely going back!

Google
Absolutely amazing food. come just for apps and drinks even if you don't sing! Staff is wonderful, songs are sadly a bit limited or less updated. But the atmosphere is fun, people are great, and food is amazing.

My daughter enjoyed her 25th birthday celebration. Good vibes, good food and fun

Yelp
Service always top tier, atmosphere always fun, food always YESSSSSS! Today was a random visit. I just sat by the bar and ate icecream, lol. It was really goooood. However, I've also been here for dinner and other times for karaoke and have always enjoyed !

Yelp
I did not like vibe of the staff. They seem very worried that we are not going to pay. I don't like being handed a bill immediately after ordering a drink. Even after I handed them my card (which they held hostage until we cashed out) to start a tab for our group they still seemed very apprehensive. When I paid the tab the bartender asked me how was the service almost as though he knew we were annoyed. Maybe they had some bad experiences in the past but unfortunately that's not my problem. On the positive side the wings and drinks were good. However it still unlikely that I will return.
google avatar

Yelp
I like the vibe and the ambiance. Price was affordable too. The only things we complained about are that it was unbelievably, swelteringly, inexcusably HOT in the private room. I think we were in the Stella Artois room. We told them, they brought a fan but good lord we needed to GTFO. Made the experience less enjoyable. Also maybe some ppl won't care but the soundtracks don't have the artists singing along with you. Would be nice to have that option sometimes bc some of us wanted to have the background singers ! Overall, would go back bc it's the only place around LOL

Yelp
Went to DuBa for my 40TH Birthday and had a good time. We had the factory room which was $240, it included 4 appetizers and 2 entres and 3 hours of karaoke. We got their wings of course, egg rolls, dumplings and mozzarella sticks. The wings were really good and crispy. The rest of the food was regular, nothing special about it. There was a decent selection of music but it lacked in some areas as far as like Spanish music goes and some R&B. The room was spacious and had party lights. You could be attended in the room by hitting the call button. By the time we finished our bill was $650. What I did not like was you had to buy individual drinks, there are no bottles for purchase.

Yelp
I came here for karaoke, and my friend told me that their food here was really good. They were so right! We ordered during the Happy Hour Specials: Steamed Dumplings -- (9/10) So yummy! Plump and tender. Spicy Rice Cakes -- (10/10) This was a very gochujang-y ddeokbbeokki, it tasted very homemade! We absolutely downed it amongst the three of us. The rice cakes were very soft, but the sauce was really, SO GOOD. I loved the addition of the baked cheese and the onions and fishcakes in the sauce. It kinda reminded me of a baked lasagna. Not that spicy either for those who can't handle heat. (I will now be trying to recreate this at home) Soy Garlic and Honey Garlic Wings (10/10) -- Oh my gosh! The crunch on these is UNREAL, and they were cooked perfectly on the inside. I absolutely loved the Honey Garlic wings. My Final Thoughts Afterwards, we went for karaoke for an hour. I thought the food was nicely priced for Happy Hour, but I did think karaoke was a bit expensive ($40/hour). Overall, I would definitely come again! Thank you for having me, Duba!

Yelp
We went there for the second part of my birthday and going away party after our dinner from Dubu. This place doesn't have some of the songs on the library in the system. Some of the people in our groups waited a long time for their song only to be found out that if the songs aren't in the system they simply get skipped. I think you shouldn't put songs in the library if you don't have it on the system. Someone even suggested that we mind as well use YouTube karaoke, and I really thought that would've worked out best. Lastly, the power went out three times for the two hours we stayed there. They gave us the extra 15 mins at the end, but we were over it by the time the power went out the second time. Fun place, but need some work.

Yelp
Busy place. It's like the Friendlys of Korean food. Family style. We got seafood pancake & tofu bibimbap . It was ok. Also so many side dishes!

Yelp
Huge Shoutout to my cousin for introducing me to this place! The food and ambiance is BOMB!!! She told me the wings were the best and they sure were. They are Korean Style Wings, which means they were very crispy and the sauce options were good as well. I'm not a huge spicy fan so I got the Honey Soy and It did not disappoint. In addition to the wings I also tired there dumplings and those were banging too! Omg and their Crab Rangoon had actual crab meat in It and It was STUFFED! Now this is not only a food spot, they have Karaoke rooms as well (Which I will be checking out the next time I come). I heard a few people singing their hearts out while I was there lol. Another cool thing about this place is the decorations in the ceilings, I thought that was dope feature. It's that one thing that makes there place unique. Oh yea they also have drinks that glow In the dark! My only critique will be when It comes to the "Honey Butter Chips" you have to request It "Well Done" so that they are fried properly.

Yelp
Happy hour half of karaoke is awesome! We sang for like 2 hours and bonus/service 20min Chicken wing tasted decent Cute little decoration This place is like hidden gem

Yelp
Fun fun time. Plenty of parking. Cool drinks. Their music Playlist wasn't the best. The food was ok.

Yelp
I went to Duba for a birthday party. It was so fun! The vibe was very cool. I loved the food and drink options. I had an adult Capri sun which was not only so fun but tasted great too. We tried the soy shrimp and the Korean chicken wings in two flavors. The wings were unreal. So crispy and the sticky honey sauces were perfect. The dressing on the salad that came with the shrimp was so well balanced *chefs kiss*. The karaoke room was awesome. I loved the lights and the mics were clear. It was too loud and you could still talk to people at your table. A very fun evening out!!

Yelp
Unexpected karaoke night with the girls on a Monday night! Random but so much fun. We just came for dinner at Dubu and decided that we wanted to sing LOL it was $20/hour which wasn't bad at all. Gratuity is included for the room. These drink pouch was good and it's cool how there's a light ice cube inside. Will come back again! The servers were very nice and friendly too. We had a great time!

Yelp
Best Karaoke Place Ever!! Had Hella Fun Here, If You Trying To Have a Good Time With Friends and Get Drunk and EAT!! All the staff are friendly and nice If you will visit Philly you should have a great time at DUBA!

Yelp
Food was wonderful, and the karaoke rooms were awesome! Watch out though, bill can easily rack up for three people if you have too much fun! Spent $500 for several hours ordering drinks and food! LOL but it was worth it

Yelp
Went on a Monday night nice place. The drinks food service and atmosphere was good . I like the fact that you can have your own karaoke party in a private settings with food and drinks and have just have fun .

Yelp
Everything about this place is outstanding. Posh food, kind and solid tier service, as well as an environment that makes all customers feel welcomed in the pub. A definite recommendation for anyone to consider this restaurant.

Yelp
I frequently visit this place when I travel to Philly. Conveniently located near the large H-Mart area, Duba is located next to Dubu and other many different Korean restaurants. Because this place opens late, this is one of few places I can get a decent meal and some cook liquors while finishing late after work. The area is nice, as it has a hip setting with modern lightning and great decorations. The place is actually quite huge as there are multiple karaoke rooms, a bar, which itself is large, and many sit down tables for your group. Food wise, they are good. Just for any food less than $20, a food comes in a large portion, with great smell, watery taste, and all Korean fusion spices. You can ask for a rise bowl if you are super hungry. For drinks, this place has everything. Beers, cocktails, wines, and even sojus. While the bar is maybe not full of wine and beer selections, the selection is numerous, and the bartenders do know how to make cocktails here. Servers here are really kind and great. So, 10 out of 10 for the service. If you get bored, hit the karaoke room, which is like $20 per hour -- not bad at all. So, yeah, Duba is a great place to get some food and drinks while still having fun with your friends.

Great Vibes, Great Service, Food was delicious. Great for Karaoke! Will return for another night of fun!

Yelp
2 mins away from my house, daily specials & open to 2AM. Definitely coming back for long karaoke nights!

Yelp
Food was great! Lots of fun and reasonable prices for food and karaoke! Service was pretty good. We had some trouble with the karaoke system but the staff always came in to help with no issues!

Yelp
I came here with a bunch of friends for karaoke night for my birthday, and I wasn't impressed. The room pricing is much higher than what you would pay in Chinatown - one room charged $100 an hour and there's no food or drink minimum spending special! There are karaoke bars in NYC that wouldn't even charge that much. The location is next door to Cafe Clover and DuBu, you show your I.D. and you are led downstairs to the basement. You will most likely lose cell phone reception, which is incredibly inconvenient, but they offer a WiFi code for you to use if needed. There is a main bar with free popcorn and seating areas, and I rented one of the smaller rooms for the evening. I am not sure what was happening with their air conditioner, but it was SO hot in the room! All of us were sweating, and when we requested that they change the temperature, we were told that there was nothing they could do. Also, there seemed to be less variety of songs than I'm used to, and there were barely any new releases. The only redeeming factor was the food - we ordered drunken noodles, BBQ soy chicken wings, tater tots, cheese corn, and spicy shrimp. No complaints there - everything was satisfying and spicy. However, given the price point, the lack of song choices, and the malfunctioning A.C., it is not my first choice for karaoke.

Charis T.

Yelp
the water was sweet the food was cold and not authentic. the waiters were not paying attention.
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
The food there is delicious and been here multiple times. Place is always busy if you're going around dinner time. Sevice for the most part was good with the exceptions the sever there constantly comes every couple minutes to asked you if you were ready to ordered. Their side dishes are great and the fried fish is a plus. I do wish they have a bigger selection of menu items.
google avatar

Christina V.

Yelp
My friend and I like coming here when we are craving korean BBQ wings but also want good drinks and other food too. We could easily go to the hmart BBQ but why when you can come here, get beer/mixed drinks, the same wings at the same price and a ton of other foods?! The tables are rarely filled when we have been here since most come for the karoake rooms or sit right at the bar so it's comfy and not too crowded, which we love. Service is phenomenal! The waitstaff are very friendly and helpful, I tell them I love the kim chi from Dubu (the restaurant upstairs) and they offer to get me some from there! Love ! Lol. The chips are amazing! Drinks are good! Definitely give this place a try!
google avatar

Xiao Z.

Yelp
My only experience came from ordering their wings at Dubu. We had the garlic soysauce wings and they were served hot and succulent to the flagship restaurant. I thought the wings were a bit sparse on the meat, but the texture was on par with the other Korean fried chicken joints in Philly. Will def return to check out the karaoke.
google avatar

Shanna M.

Yelp
Usually a good time here. Understandable it's a holiday. We called and they told us kitchen was open till 11:45. We were gonna place a to-go order. Decided to stop in to place a food order while we got drinks. One server told us the guy in the back was cleaning up. Another server told us the guy in the back had already left. Hopeful next time we'll be able to enjoy full service. Transparency is important with customers. Much rather have understanding due to slow business or a holiday then rush out of the way for nothing. Better luck next time.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and I have never left with any complaints. The customer service is great because they let you have your time, but still care about your experience. Even if I can't make it to happy hour, I know they will have drink specials that are worth drinking. Last week I got the chicken gizzard, soju, and beer, which was the perfect combination!
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Best karaoke you will find near Cheltenham and Philly area. The karaoke machine is always updated with the latest songs. I've only tried the korean karaoke system, but you can't get this kind of karaoke quality in other places. The food here is also amazing. I usually like to get the fish cake soup and the fried chickens. The bbq chicken is here is sooooo good. I highly recommend the bbq chicken. ~ ~

Yelp
Wow!!! New place to hang out w/ gals! Good food, variety booze, and unique vibe. They have simple menu for small plate foods but they serve more than enough. Whole place is so clean and well equipped. I sat at the bar and had so much fun. I watch TV and observed bartender making cocktail and ice ball w/ very cool gadget.
google avatar

Yelp
As an avid noraebang/karaoke-goer when I lived in Korea, I was admittedly worried that the experience here would not match up. However, I was pleasantly surprised as their rooms were clean and equipped with the basics like mood lighting, tambourine, and even complimentary water bottles. The Korea/English/multilingual karaoke system was exactly like those in Korea and they say they update their songs monthly (and that's true as far as I can tell!). We were a group of 6 and we were in the smallest room (for up to 8 people) and the space was perfect for us. 8 people might be a bit cramped. The pricing is $40 an hour (for the 8-person room) plus tax and tip which came down to about $17 per person for two hours which is not bad in my opinion! The only con is that the room got really warm, perhaps due to the AC not working super well and perhaps because we danced too much in there haha. While I didn't eat the food, the bar/restaurant area also looked really awesome, with great surround sound and food options, albeit on the pricey side. If I didn't live so far away, then I would definitely frequent this place a lot more!

Yelp
This underground keg light fixture karaoke bar with a help yoself popcorn machine issa vibeee~ I booked a karaoke room that was more local to celebrate a close friend's birthday post-dinner at Dubu. We booked a room for 9 people and the hourly rate was $40, which is pricier than the city since no food or beverages go towards that rate. The karaoke system isn't user friendly, but manageable. You can't really change the volume of the mic and there's no voice option; ya know...in case you forget how the song goes... XD Regardless, it was a great time. We ordered some fries, honey garlic wings, and cheesy corn. Yes, we did just eat dinner, but we're fatties so... *insert girl with hand up emoji here* The wings were surprisingly delicious and honestly, BETTER than Soho's. The fries were crinkle fries! One of my favorite cuts! It still had that "frozen" aftertaste, but it was decent. The cheesy corn had some peppers/jalapeño flavor, which I really enjoyed. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely go back for the food and the atmosphere. I'm glad it's local to where I live. *insert pray hand emoji here* ;)

Yelp
Crispy chicken, cool cocktails, great service, up-to-date karaoke & fun atmosphere! This is my go-to spot for a night out. Good food good drinks. The strawberry caprisun is my favorite and I highly recommend the honey garlic chicken!!

Yelp
Wow, where do I begin? The place was so phenomenal. My sister and wife planned a 35th birthday party for me. I've always wanted to do karaoke. I saw 500 days of summer with my wife several years back and was motivated by the character of Tom Hansen, but anyway back to the review. We had about 25 people here for the 30 people max (Factory Room) and it was the best party I've ever been to and my wife/friends/family will definitely vouch. The food was really good (fried dumplings, drunken noodles and this corn cheese thing). The draft beer was real good too (Blue Moon is my favorite). I sang Dammit by Blink 182 to start off. I sang Welcome to the Black Parade by MCR with my sister, Country Roads by John Denver with my brother and Lost than Loving Feeling by the Righteous Brothers (from Top Gun) with my wife. So many others sang too and we all were laughing and cheering. I could of not asked for a better birthday and we should be back soon for some more karaoke and fun!

Yelp
Had so much fun coming here with friends. The place is sort of in a basement. There is a bar and about 4 private rooms. When we got there on there were only people in one karaoke room. You pay per person per hour. We had the whole room to ourselves. They have drink specials and food. The karaoke is so much fun. There is a whole binder full of songs and they give u a microphone. The couches are comfortable. This is one of the best karaoke places I have been to just because the rooms are private and you aren't singing in front of strangers. The staff is very attentive. They check in to see if anyone wants any drinks. They gave us all a shot for free since it was my birthday. Awesome place and will definelty be coming back
google avatar

Minji S.

Yelp
I came back for a friend's birthday. Compared to the last time I was here (around the time of their opening), the service was still good and it was good to see them implementing happy hour for certain alcohols and that the staff seemed more comfortable with how the karaoke place was run. However, I had to rate down because the music selection for the English songs definitely went down compared to the last time I was there. I couldn't find some of the songs I wanted to sing and they are actually pretty popular songs. Overall, everything else was still pretty good. Please update your song selection though.
google avatar

Ben O.

Yelp
Had some friends in town that were looking for good Korean snacks and a couple sing-a-long songs. Heard about Duba, figured it was worth a first stop - ended up staying all night. The layout was great because the bar felt welcoming but we ended up in a room. The rooms were clean, good system, and the best part was the drinks. I've never seen a pouch of booze, but recommend the strawberry. It was a good recommend because of the food, rooms, and service. Pictures are worth 1000 words.
google avatar

Tiffany N.

Yelp
One of the best perks of this bar is that it's very modern, spacious, and serves most of Dubu's menu and Waker Chicken! No need to take the chicken home if you don't want to anymore. I went for the half off karaoke rooms which were fun. Clean and spacious as well, and I love playing with the tambourine provided. They have an extensive Korean music selection, but it is alphabetical by song. They are also very English friendly which is rare in a Korean karaoke joint in my area. I would much prefer by artist since it's harder to find songs you want to sing, but otherwise it's a good place to hang out after work without heading downtown. Plenty of parking is an added bonus at this location.

Yelp
I was looking for a local bar to have some drinks with my beau. Went to yelp and found DuBa's and I was immediately intrigued. Such a cool, unique karaoke bar right in Elkins Park. I got the adult Capri-Sun and honey garlic wings. Both were amazing. My boyfriend had a beer and the drunken noodles which were really good as well. Nice crowd, pleasant atmosphere, free yummy popcorn, and the bartender was on point. Service for food however was a bit slow and we had to flag down a waiter to take our order. Food came out piping hot. We didn't do karaoke and didn't see anyone partaking while we were there. I will definitely come back with the girls for some karaoke fun. A great night.

Yelp
I had a birthday gathering here on Friday the 14th and it was a great time. Strong drinks that sneak up on you paired with up to date karaoke songs equals a hilarious and unforgettable experience. I had a party of 15 and they assigned us the biggest room which was extremely spacious and clean. The food was delicious and my entire group had no complaints. We shall return for another epic sing off, but overall this place was great. Thank you for a good time and great service.
google avatar

Lauren S.

Yelp
After a long wait, DUBA is definitely more than worth the visit. First, the interior is very vintage, giving a bit of Western vibe. The table areas are spacious with several seats at the bar. Plus clean, sleek bathroom!! Among the variety of drinks (beer, wine, whisky, and etc), my group ordered Yuzu mule, strawberry smash soju, lemona-du soju, and cucumber-tini. Yuzu mule and lemona-du are my favorite. Very refreshing. The other two were good also. For the food, we ordered the honey butter chips and the cheese crispy shrimp, which were both delicious. The shrimp has a subtle spicy flavor. The chips would go very well with beers. The karaoke room was very neat with the wireless mics. Good sound system and up-to-date songs. And, last but not least, great customer service. All of the servers were very attentive and friendly. I will definitely visit very soon (and often).

Yelp
We were waiting for a table at Dubu, and one of the hosts invited us to head downstairs to wait at Duba. It had only opened recently, so we had heard about it but hadn't visited yet, so we decided to check it out. I have to say that the staff were very friendly; a few of them welcomed us there and asked if we wanted a table. We were just there waiting, though, so we just sat at the bar, which wasn't too busy at the time. It is nice that they have a long happy hour, so we were able to get those prices. My wife and I both got drinks for pretty reasonable prices thanks to happy hour, and were able to bring our drinks up when our table at Dubu was ready a few minutes later. We didn't really hang out long here this time, but I'm sure if we do come back with friends for karaoke or to hang out, we'll have a great time!

Yelp
Wonderful experience I've never had.... Brand new karaoke system and lot of beer selection. Food is ok but can't find any other places like this. Definitely come back for more.

Yelp
Super cute, new Karaoke spot tucked away from the hustle & bustle of the city! A hidden gem! We loved the adult Capri Suns! I'll def be back!

Yelp
I had fun there. I think the karaoke room rates are kind of high but all karaoke venues are this way. I like the Capri Sun Pouch drinks. They have a really good selection of songs. BUT THE STAR OF THE SHOW was the chicken! Very good! And the staff was friendly as well. I would come back with a large group for sure.

Yelp
First time coming here and we had a really great time! Food was amazing and great customer service. Our waiter was David and he super friendly! The food portions were large and the drinks were great. The prices weren't bad as well. We went down for karaoke after to continue the party. Can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
Nice local spot. My friend and I stopped here on a random Saturday night. We loved their wings and tater tots. We have to go back and try those glow in the dark drinks. This place reminds me of Tango in Chinatown, except it's local. Definitely Elkins Park hidden gem (it's located in the cut of a shopping plaza, downstairs).
