Walked in during Saturday lunch and was immediately seated with a party of 3. As you see in the photos, modern clean speak fusion aesthetic interior. Very Korean still. (For authenticity check, I am Korean) Staff are super super friendly and lots of them are Korean. Menu is perfect, and tons of soft tofu options. They first bring out a small bowl of fresh tofu (yum) and they have deluxe side dishes. They also bring out a soft serve with roasted rice powder at the end (served).

Had an amazing experience at DubuHaus! I think this will be my go-to-restaurant when I want healthy, authentic Korean meal. Bright interior with warm vibe and welcoming staffs! It was really impressive from the beginning. All the dishes we ordered were good too however the complimentary side dishes were just crazy good. Most of the Korean restaurants I’ve been to served complimentary side dishes and they were like okay-ish/meh all the time. But here at DubuHaus, even the side dishes were so good!!! If you want to try authentic and healthy Korean dishes, please please try out DubuHaus!

I visited DubuHaus with my family after traveling for spring break. We were all craving for authentic Korean food and after some googling we found out that a new tofu place (that actually makes their own tofu) opened in Koreatown and decided to take a try with a few friends. We started off with the gogi mandu which was a great hit with the kids. We then ordered white rice, braised short ribs and the yellow croaker for the kids and nutritious rice, bossam, budae soondubu, spicy pork & dubu for the adults. We also had some makgeoli (rice wine) to compliment the meal and dubu ice cream to finish off. Overall the food was really good. We highly recommend short ribs if visiting with kids. The meat was tender and easy to chew on and the sauce was really good that my daughter decided to make her own version of bibimbap adding the sauce, mushrooms and meat to her rice and mixing it up. My husband and I really enjoyed the budae soondubu, bossam and especially the nutritious rice which is hard to find outside of Korea. The tofu was fresh and flavorful with texture unlike other tofu places. The dubu ice cream that came out for dessert was a delight as well. We didn't notice until the end that it wasn't vanilla but in fact tofu. Anyway, we would come again especially with groups of friends with different dietary restrictions(vegan) or looking for authentic Korean food.

This newly opened restaurant in the heart of k-town, will be my favorite. The beautiful grand entrance welcomes you at first sight. The interior is modern and warm. Having said that, let me tell you about the food, I mean atmosphere is great too but you know it's all about the food! ;) Already I visited twice in just 3 days and planning on another very soon. First, as it is "dubu haus" the dubu (korean for tofu) was top quality! Reminiscent of how my grandmother made when I was a baby. Authentic!!! If you love tofu, this place will top every tofu house you ever visited. And my fellow dieters and vegetarians, you know you need your healthy protein. All the other dishes were just full of flavors from nutty to savory to fiery if you can tolerate spicy. I couldn't just recommend one specific dish. And please pair with some makgeoli (korean rice drink) by their awesome mixologist. You just gotta come everyday to try all the dishes!

This is a clean and newly renovated restaurant that serves a variety of Korean home-style dishes, like tofu stew, doenjang soup, and cold noodles. The food tastes great, the environment is pleasant, and I’ll definitely come again. The prices are also reasonable, and they even gave us free ice cream at the end — extra points for that!

Menu is almost the same as Chodanggol--so good food. Just fancier interior. Service is good, but many of the servers seem new to the job. Been here twice, and somehow, both times, they bring out the rice way later than the food. And I thought they were supposed to pour water for us in the hot rice pots, but that did not happen both times.

I’d like to give a big shoutout to Danny and John for their outstanding service! We were truly impressed by the extra effort they put in to ensure we could fully enjoy our dining experience. We will absolutely be returning with friends and are excited to dine at Howoo too. Although there was a wait to be seated since we had no reservation, both Danny and John made it well worth the wait! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, with even the side dishes being so flavorful that they could easily make up another meal. The dishes were perfectly balanced, not overly seasoned allowing the natural flavors to shine through!!!

Google
Authentic Korean Cuisine Made with House-Made Tofu This spot serves traditional Korean dishes crafted with their own freshly made tofu. The ambiance feels like a high-end American restaurant, but the presentation stays true to Korean roots. Portions are generous—some dishes might be a bit much for smaller appetites. If they offered half sizes, it would be perfect for sampling a variety of flavors.

Yelp
Delicious food with fresh tofu. Staff are very friendly and the restaurant decor is beautiful. Vegetarian options are pretty good. Drinks are also unique (chestnut makgeolli) and tasty!

Yelp
Thought this was going to be like any other tofu house but nope...this place is very trendy. The banchan (side dishes) 5/5 Seasoned Acorn Mook - was a bit hard but good flavor. 4/5 Bossam - nothing special here 3.5/5 Seafood Jjambong hotpot - not a lot substance 3/5 Star of the show was the Perilla Seed Mushroom Soondubu. 5/5 Overall rating is a 5 because they nailed the tofu dish

Yelp
Nice, new Korean restaurant with an upscale ambiance. Food was solid but honestly I was not overly impressed and was lacking in some areas. Prices were decent though and service was good - the waiters were really attentive to refilling our water, drinks, and. banchan everytime it was empty. - Chestnut makgeolli (2/5/5): shaved ice was a fun texture but got a bit too sweet as the ice melted - Veggie soondubu with kettle rice (3/5): was really comforting but extremely stingy on the amount of mushrooms and veggies I got... mainly tofu - Mandu (3.5/5): solid, but again, not super impressed Complimentary tofu and soft serve in the end was a nice touch though

Yelp
I checked out this new soondubu restaurant and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty my meal was! Most of the prior reviewers gave it 3-4 stars so I wasn't expecting much, except to get some hot soupy tofu on a rainy day. We were first greeted with a small bowl of complimentary tofu, which I happily ate with their garlic/chili soy sauce (reminded me of bulgogi marinate flavors). We opted for the gogi mandu after seeing comments that the regular dubu mandu may be a little bland. Including both pork and tofu, the gogi mandu was well seasoned with a chewy dumpling skin, but made even better with the spicy kimchi sauce from the banchans. The mushroom perilla seed soondubu was my favorite! While my partner felt like it was on the saltier side, I thought it was nicely seasoned with prominent perilla seed flavors. The tofu pieces were silky/soft with a good soup ratio. I appreciated the generous serving of mushrooms. The kimchi & pork kongbiji had an appropriate amount of spice with a good pork to tofu ratio. We upgraded our rice to the nutritious rice. I liked the addition of extra grains and veggies but not sure if it needed to be salted, since the soondubus and other dishes were already packed with flavor. The restaurant is chic with a modern dim lighting. The counter tables were a weird height for me but service was great. Staff were attentive and food came out at a reasonable pace. Portions included more food than we thought so prices were reasonable. I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Beautiful space, loud and vibey, draws a crowd. Lot of staff on hand to ensure you are waited on and ensures your full experience wraps up in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the food left a bit of a void for us. We get it, it's a tofu specialty spot so the menu caters to the key ingredient. Perhaps we over ordered the tofu in each category. We got the Ssam, Kimchi Mandu to start. Then added the oyster seaweed stew and the spicy tofu with pork belly. 3 of the items have tofu, Wayyy too many. Felt like the taste was lopsided leaning to bland... - Kimchi Mandu was great. Wish the skin was thinner. - Ssam was too salty for me, but friends liked it. - Oyster Tofu stew was not for me... too fishy. - Spicy Tofu w/ pork belly was OK, very one note. I think it needed something to be added... not sure, maybe some napa, maybe radish... something to balance all the tofu. - Healthy rice was good - Complimentary "warm tofu" and "tofu soft serve" was the highlight I think we should've selected a mixture of meat vs 3 tofu dish. Perhaps our meal wouldn't taste so bland.

Yelp
BCD's had a monopoly on the Ktown soondubu scene for too long. No longer will I have to trek out to Fort Lee's MD Noodle House, now that the snazzy DubuHaus is serving beautiful house-made 두부 with a side of vibes. The menu outlines their signature tofu-making process, and the tofu really was highlighted in the perilla seed (들깨) stew with mushrooms - excellently textured. The dubu mandu were good as well, but a bit on the plain side without any garnishes (I guess there's a reason tofu isn't a traditional dumpling ingredient). The drink menu is noticeably upmarket, offering soju varieties like Jinro Is Back and Seoul Night. Service has some kinks to work out. We were provided with a few completely empty menu books, and flagging down a server for the bill was a challenging effort (they did not check up on us during the meal).

Yelp
When you first walk in, the check-in, the waiting area, and the narrow hallway that leads to dining almost feels like that of a luxury spa. Our table was tucked in an open cave-like room. The one light that hung overhead shone on the food only and made the setting super intimate. Dubu Haus is really about the experience: the fresh tofu soup before the meal you've ordered then the tofu ice cream that caps it all off. The banchan was solid and the soondubu itself had the silkiest dubu I've ever had.

Yelp
DubuHaus has just opened up in Koreatown, and they're known for their handmade tofu that they make fresh on a daily basis! We were walking around and saw their posted menu; we were surprised, as this place seemed kind of obscure and easy to miss! We started off with: +Dubu Mandu - filled with zucchini, bean sprouts, cabbage, sesame, soy, and egg; came steamed +and, the Seasoned Acorn Mook - one of my favorite banchans, the acorn jelly, aka mook, with bokchoy, carrots, perilla, sesame, onions, and red chili For our mains, we tried: +Beef Soondubu - with prime rib finger, zucchini, and onions +the Seafood Soondubu - with shrimp, little neck clams, squid, scallops, zucchini, and onions +the Spicy Braised Dubu - prepared with pork belly, kimchi, gochujang, soy, sesame, and perilla +and, the Braised Short Rib - 12-hour braised prime short rib, prepared with radish, carrots, soy, shiitake mushrooms, jujube, chestnuts, eggs, and sesame The space is modern, clean, and spacious, and the staff were friendly! +housemade tofu +friendly service

Yelp
Food was pretty delicious! I enjoyed everything (bossam wasn't my favorite, but still good). But I do have to say that some items on the menu are overpriced. Went for lunch so I don't know if the pricing is different but just for the tofu soup, it's decent and tasty. Definitely a bouji vibe, decor is beautiful and servers are pretty attentive.

Yelp
Finally tried DubuHaus and had a great meal. All of us left very full. We ordered Galbi Jjim and Bossam to share as apps (which honestly, both you can pass on). Our favorites were the soondubu jjigaes. I got the seafood soondubu and it was pretty spicy (for me). Wish they had more seafood in it but it was very tasty. I love how they give you a bowl of their tofu as is along with banchan. They don't give you regular kimchi but gave gat-kimchi instead which I didn't mind at all. I also wished they poured hot water into the stone pot rice but they never offered or I guess they don't do that here. It is a bit pricier than BCD but you're paying for the quality. Definitely not your late night munchie spot but more so a catch up dinner or date night place.

Yelp
Food was great. We got perilla mushroom soondubu and Spicy pork tubu. The meal started with daily prepared tofu in its natural broth. It was light but subtle flavor which I enjoyed a lot. There were 5-6 side dishes each tasted very good. Soondubu (5/5) was one of the best I had to date, and I will come back just for it. Spicy pork dubu (3/5) had too much scallion which made the dish taste more Chinese than Korean. Adding bakchoy is not the best, imo. Soy based ice cream at the end of the meal was a great touch. Not too sweet, mild yet very enjoyable. Service was very slow and server was not attentive unless you call them out. This made me knock a star from the review. If you call them over, they are nice and responsive. Overall, very good Korean place and I will definitely come back!

Yelp
New restaurant in K-town! Do you like a great location? Do you like a cool atmosphere? Do you like tofu? Then Dubu Haus is worth a visit. First and foremost, the fresh tofu is delicious, and its fun how much of their tofu-making process is worked into the menu, in the complimentary appetizer, in the 반찬, and of course in the main courses. We went as a group and had a whole variety, and while you can't really go wrong I especially enjoyed the Kimchi & Pork Soondubu. Coupled with good service and a nice atmosphere, our meal was a highly enjoyable experience. While not exceeding BCD, its a welcome new option to the K-town 순두부 scene, highly recommend checking it out next time you're looking for food in that area.

Yelp
dubuhaus is a great new addition to the tofu scene in ktown, it's a great place especially for korean families as it's super new, clean, and the flavor profile isn't too salty! the food: the mushroom perilla seed tofu stew is 1000% the best thing. the biji stew, the beef soondubu, and the mapo tofu are all also good but a little too bland for me, next time i would be more inclined to try the pork tofu dishes! but the mushroom perilla is a must order for sure. the space: it's huge and very clean!!! the service: since it's so new sometimes the service can either be slow or a little backed up, but nothing too crazy.

Yelp
This place is very well organized and clean. I love the look of the place and the service is very professional. Our waitress is very helpful with the menu and ordering. The food was amazing with presentation and taste . The drinks were very good and we definitely would come back

Yelp
Best soondubu in NYC!! Dubu Haus recently opened and is a gorgeous restaurant. I love the decor in here - it makes you feel like you're enjoying a very nice meal. The banchan they serve here is very delicious. Some banchan are things I haven't really had before at Korean restaurants like eggplant and shishito peppers, but all very delicious. I ordered the Beef Soondubu, which came with prime rib finger, zucchini, and onions. The portion is pretty big and I love that the rice comes in a pot so that the bottom gets crispy. At the end, they also serve a little soy milk soft serve which is very refreshing. Service is a little slow here but I'm sure they'll work out their kinks soon.

Yelp
Service was slow and food was decent. We waited 15 minutes just for someone to come and ask if we were ready to order (not including the time we had already spent sitting and looking through the menu) and it was the manager. We didn't even know who our waiter was so it's not like we knew who to flag down. Then we noticed a waitress attending to the table to the left and right of us but for some reason not us even though we were in the same section. Same thing for getting the check. Manager had to tell the waitress to come take our check and then it took another 10 minutes just to get our cards back even though I saw them close us out and the desk was only a few feet away from us. Also unsure if they were even aware of our table because when we got our cards back that had to confirm these were our cards. Food was decent. We got the bossam, beef soondubu and mushroom hot pot. Flavors were good but nothing life changing. Overall I think the service really cast a shadow over our whole experience. Most likely will not go out of our way to try and dine here again all things considered.

Danny H.

Yelp
They give false promises about the wait time. Eventually ended up waiting extra 50 min above what they estimated. They even make you wait extra 30 min even after texting the table is ready.

Orilla S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed Dubu Haus! We got the mushroom perilla stew and the maesaengi stew. I enjoyed both, and personally liked the clean and refreshing taste of the maesaengi stew more. The mushroom perilla stew was thicker consistency with a heavier, almost creamy texture from all the soft tofu. I don't like perilla leaf much but the perilla flavor in the stew was very nice and added a touch of herbaceous zing. The place was pretty popular at 8pm on a Tuesday night. The place felt super clean, especially the bathrooms. The female waiter who served us was so sweet and checked in with us multiple times, and brought us refills on banchan. Ending off the dinner was the complimentary tofu ice cream, which came with some roasted soybean powder on top. I enjoyed it! It tasted mostly like a milky soft serve with some nuttiness from the kinako powder. Overall I would definitely go back again. It seems like they're still trying to find their pace with some of the other waiters in terms of service but overall everything seemed like it ran smoothly.
