I really loved the bar. Cheap but good beer, great atmosphere, you could just sit by yourself and read with a beer or meet new people depending on your mood. I was on vacation, staying in the neighborhood and it just felt like my local bar back in my city. I've been there 3 or 4 times the 10 days I spent in Brooklyn so you could tell I really loved the place.

This is the greatest dive bar ever! Good values a necessity, but also very cool kitschy stuff - ducks, ducks and more ducks. But the giant windows and ample space makes this great. "So much room for activities". The crowd was cool, the bartender cool, the space is cool. Great space, great place, enjoy

One of my favorite bars in New York City. Experienced bartenders, good vibes, and drinks not to expensive. It’s cash only, which makes it cheaper and adds to the vibes in my opinion. I’m not single, but if you’re dating you should 100% take folks here.

Beloved Duck duck the go to for nearly a decade for great drinks at amazing prices, good music and a vibe that is unmatched is now fading fast to rude (possibly racially motivated) mistreatment by staff to its patrons. This has been the fun place the safe place however last night I experienced the most memorably disgusting experience. My friend and I sat at the bar and waited and watched for 15 min as the blonde female bartender in black jeans proceeded to take the orders of absolute everyone around us including those who just walked up even offering second drinks to those seating right next to us. She laughed talked to them engaged them. When she walked past us at least 8 times she would not make eye contact. Finally my friend called out nearly yelling “we would love to order drinks please” and turned looking almost insulted and she just starred at us. I ordered our drinks to take my friend out of it and she brought them back slid them to us repeating the price 3 times and walked away. We put our cash on the bar for payment and even my friend mentioned when we were wrapping we would like to pay she didn’t acknowledge us and never touched the money. My friend was so uncomfortable we decided to leave and find another place. I have no idea why this was our experience and why this woman acts this way we can only assume looking at the circumstances but it’s 2024 in NYC…come on duck duck do better.

Dropped in for a drink w my friend on Tuesday evening at 6pm. There weren't any signs up advertising happy hour specials or anything, but prices were pretty decent. They have bunch of beer + shot deals. Friend got the high life + whiskey shot ($8) and I got the Guinness + Jameson shot ($12). Vaccination proof was checked, which is great. It wasn't crowded, just what looked to be a bunch of regulars hanging out at the bar and one lone bartender working. Nice chill place to hang before dinner in the area. Cash only!

I heard about that bar, and I was curious to go check it out. The drinks menu is great and cheap, along with amazing customer service. I went there on Saturday, and the DJ killed it. I had an amazing time there, and I recommend the place 💯.

Yo, if you're lookin' for a chill spot to kick back and grab a brew without breakin' the bank, DuckDuck's your joint. This cash-only dive is low-key but vibes are on point. No live DJ, but they're bumpin' old-school jams from Spice Girls, Usher, and the like. Personally, I'm feelin' it, but wouldn't mind some Pitbull thrown in for good measure. Overall, DuckDuck's a solid spot for cheap drinks and retro vibes. Can't go wrong with that.

Unassuming bar from the outside with a cool interior (looks like an old carriage house). Cold Friday night, not many.people.inside, so was able to grab one of the booths in the corner. Basic selection of beers (around $8-9), as well as cocktails ($12-14). Opted for one of the draft beers and stayed off to the side. Not at all loud inside, and different seating options depending on how big your group is. No food to speak of, but seems like you can bring some inside. Bartenders aren't super talkative, though drinks come out quickly. Cash only is a bummer (ATM inside)

Bartender served me the wrong beer, mixing it up with another customer, and refused to pour me the beer I ordered. She insisted that since the beers didn't smell different that I was lying to her even though my beer tasted nothing like the Stella Artois I ordered.

Love this place! A friend took me here for the first time on a Wednesday night, great vibes. There was a good amount of people here for a weekday night as well. Very cozy, vintage, laid-back decor. Feels like you're kicking it at your friend's place, and the drinks are great and affordable. Bartenders are super chill, friendly, and really quick with getting drinks to you, as well as checking in on how you're doing. Cool crowd here as well so don't be surprised if you find yourself chatting it up with other patrons after a couple drinks. :) Will definitely come back, awesome place to hang out.

duckduck bar is a cozy neighborhood spot that's great for a casual drink. It's the type of place that screams "Brooklyn!" with its warm lighting and mish-mash of couches and chairs. A few reviews said this bar is dog friendly but it is *not* so you'll need to leave Fido at home.

This is a local bar in the neighborhood and one of my favorite. Niki the hot bartender is really chill and makes good drinks. Cool spot, good vibes, good drinks and good times. Def worth checking out. P.s. find the hidden work boots.

It's a little bit hipster but it's a cool dive bar in bushwick. Prices are pretty steep I'd say for a Brooklyn dive. Your typical $7-8 beers. Some canned beer is a bit cheaper than the taps. A large range of cocktails on the other side of the menu (most tequila based). You can bring food in which is always a nice perk. Things I enjoy: The theme. Like ducks are great. I love a good rubber ducky. This bar is not shy of that. I like the spiral staircase that leads to where? I may never know. I like that there are two unisex singular bathrooms on opposing sides of the bar. I don't like that one is almost directly in front of a dart board. Act fast. Things I'm not crazy about: There's a weird attitude here. There's a bouncer that actually will card you if you're even pushing 40 and that's always an uncomfortable feeling to me with dive bars in the middle of nowhere. The bartenders are hit and miss. My friend got yelled at before I showed up at the bar and I guess she 'cut him off' for weaving on his way to the bathroom. Which I was fully expecting him to be a basketcase when I showed up but he was surprisingly almost sober. He just weaves maybe when he has to pee? Once I showed up they refused to service me for nearly 15-20 minutes even though I had cash in my hand to get myself a drink. Anyway, I think he is mildly attached to the bar with coming here after band practice from past years and presently. I'm torn because I feel like maybe it was cool 7 or 8 years ago and the present times have just made people angry and bitter.

totally ignored by the bartender on an empty night. weird and a drag

this was one of my absolute favorite bars until i encountered a really rude bar tender (shorter woman with long black hair). My friend and i sat in with our food because it was raining. We were about to order drinks before she passive aggressively demanded us to order something rudely. I understand the issue; however, this was just an extremely rude way to approach it. So i obliged anyways and ordered a drink. I then asked "Sorry but were we supposed to order sooner" then she started arguing about how we didn't order anything because we were trying to eat our dinner there, implying we were freeloading (after i ordered a drink) and how i didn't tip, which i was about to until that really rude response. I work in the service industry so i understand; however, how she presented the situation and how she reacted was awful. (i'm also just a college kid and she is most definitely a full grown woman). She thought i was trying to underpay or to freeload when I was just visiting and trying to relax after an extremely heavy rain (the bar was empty). She kept arguing and demanded i finished my drink (i know this sounds made up and so silly but it quite literally happened). She told the bodyguard and even he was confused. I would never come back again not because of the overall bar but because the bartender was very hostile and rude for no reason. Most of the bartenders are really cool but she was just nasty and just plain ridiculous. (i wish i got her name specifically) update: The bartender is named Maribelle!

I came here on a weekday evening with two of my friends and let me just say... wow. To sit on a couch with great friends and listen to exactly the music you want to be hearing, drinking a dark and stormy... heaven. The drink prices are a little steep but also it's New York so I can't blame them but still... $14 for a pretty normal cocktail will never get less shocking. But to be honest.. I will be back.. and I will spend an absurd amount of money again...

Fine bar in East Williamsburg. Nothing too special. Cash only. Decent selection of drinks. I think the sell is that it is open until 4 am, one of the only bars doing that in this area (if not the only). Definitely a cool hang!

A kind of gross cash only neighborhood bar. As a woman, I don't go there by myself because dudes will talk to me. Not even trying to toot my own horn, but it just is that kind of place. I like going here while it's still sunny outside because if the weather is nice, the staff will open the huge windows and then it's like you're sitting in a covered patio which is nice. A little scared I might get scabies from the fabric couches though. I never get the fancy cocktails. I usually stick to simple drinks here. Happy Hour is two drinks for $6 but you have to use them for yourself--you get a wooden token. You can't buy yourself one drink and give your friend the other with the happy hour deal. Everyone has to get their own 2-for-1 special. I've had one bartender tell me I can use the token at a later date and another not accept the token so it feels a little scammy unless you drink both drinks back to back to ensure you get your money's worth. On the weekend nights it gets pretty crowded so I don't usually go then. However, a date and I once went in at like 3am on a Saturday night/Sunday morning and it was the perfect amount of people if you don't count the guy that definitely seemed to be doing drugs in the bathroom or the guy outside the window who was harassing me. I've also seen a fight break out outside and security had to break it up. Oh and years ago my friend was actually electrocuted by some holiday lights they had hanging inside. He was fine but told the bartenders so that they could take them down and they were rude to him about it. Even though he literally was SHOCKED and being a polite about it.

I've never been to a "dive bar" of this size before, but it is awesome. My favorite bar in this general area. They do everything right. Drinks and specials are awesome. They gave me cheese doodles while I sat and had a great conversation with the bartender. The seating it great, the space is open and neat. I truly "love" this bar. Atmosphere: 10 Service: 10 Drinks: 10 I don't see need for any improvement. 5/5

Review During Covid Decent little outdoor place that gets busy on weekends. Great for cheap simple drinks, or while you're waiting for food/reservation at a nearby restaurant, or if you want to bring outside food and eat there. You have to have a seat at the table before they let you order "for here," which is in line with the law. Had the Phil Collins and it was not great, but that's on me for trying to order a cocktail at a dive bar. Access to bathroom which is clutch!

Waiting for Win Son dinner Friday. My lover got to the area before me so he found a dive bar to his liking. It was airy and spacious, which I liked and also had diverse seating options. Would love to see more comfy couch seating by the windows. Perfect for a drink with friend(s) and especially for waiting for some tasty Taiwanese fusion food across the street. There is a curious hole in the ceiling with a ladder which makes me think this building has some history to it.

Sufficient amount of seating throughout -- there are bar table tops, booths, benches, couches, and the bar itself. The overall interior design is great! Very fun, unique, and quirky decor. Music will depend on who is working I think. Overall, a great dive bar to hang at!

Hot spiced cider is great here. This bar is a chill spot with a causal interior, it's also pretty big if your rolling through with the homies. There's couches and tables and all sorts of places to post up here. Bartenders have all been real friendly and the prices are totally decent here. I like it, I've been a few times and I'll probably go a few more!

Bar tender was rude to me as I asked for drinks. He didn't even come to my table, he stood 20 feet away from me so I told him my order and he said "You don't have to tell." You're standing 20 feet away, he didn't even approach my table. When he came back to my table, he did "take one" and told me I was being rude but all I did was order a drink. He also told my friend rude remarks when he approached the bar. Definitely would not be back at this bar. The service is terrible.

Just came here for the first time and love it! The happy hour is from 4-8 and it's awesome- 2 for 1 beer or well drinks. The place is super chill and the bartender was really friendly. duckduck is a local neighborhood bar in East Williamsburg, most people in the bar live in the area. It's near the L train but the surrounding area is very industrial once you walk away from the subway station. The vibe is very laid back and chill with a darts board, sawed metal staircase spiraling down the ceiling, and old school desks. During happy hour, you get a duckduck wooden token to exchange for a free 2nd well drink. $5 for 2 well drinks. That definitely makes my happy hour HAPPY! P.S. According to the Yelp reviews, there used to be a tattoo parlor next door named Goose. duckduck Goose.

Happy hour= 2 for the price of one we'll drinks/beers! You will have to get both for yourself though, and they will be the same drink. Whiskey/ginger cost $6, so $3 each- not bad. They were slightly watered down but that is to be expected! Great place for a chill night to chat with a couple friends or a super casual date. It's fairly quiet and has a cozy, vintage-y vibe complete with old school desks as furniture and the like.

First time I came here a month ago I had a great experience, until a couple nights ago, when me and my friend were rudely yelled at by this average height white male bartender (wearing a silver chain mask holder) who made us feel unsafe and extremely disrespected. We sat outside and one of my friends didn't have her id on her but she wasn't going to drink anything. Me and my other friend went inside to order and he immediately questioned my choice of quantity of drinks, while quickly raising his voice at us and becoming aggravated and extremely aggressive and said if my friend without the id was outside at the table, he was going to kick her out. He runs out of the bar and screams at my friend if front of everyone to leave. Even if she didn't have her id and we thought it would be fine to for her to just sit there, we did not deserve to be traumatized and yelled at like that. I bet it made him feel so "good" and "masculine" yelling at girls, stroking his weak ego. If we were guys he would not have treated us that way. His position needs to reevaluated and fired because of how unsafe made the space feel for us women and especially being POC WOMEN. Seems pretty misogynistic and racist if you ask me.

The bartender was losing his temper on me and my girl friends for no valid reason. He is misogynistic, rude, and just very angry. he was aggressively on a power trip, and was just ready to start a fight when we cordially responded to his irrational outbursts. Please do not go , we all felt very unsafe and wanted to leave immediately. Never been treated like this a bar before. This bartender verbally attacked us. I hope he doesn't treat more customers like this, and inappropriately powertrip on a group of girls.

Worse bartender and service ever. Glasses had lipstick stains on them and the the female bartender gave an attitude about switching the cups. Never coming here again.

Duck drinks, duck decor, plenty of ducks everywhere. Laid back atmosphere and great prices. More hip than a dive bar but still has a relaxed feel. Cash only, ATM on site. Open space and a nice couch next to a roll-up door that happened to be open on this cool night. Wife ordered a mixed drink, and it was very strong, so a good deal. The crowd was varied and had everything from suits to low life's. Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Stop in for a relaxed vibe and affordable drinks.

I've heard great things about this place so even made the trek into Brooklyn to come here. I was very disappointed. This place is crowded and mediocre. The drinks are cheap in price but also in quality. All in all, not a fun experience. It's the kind of place that tries very hard to be clever. Apparently it is a hit with a lot of people, but this place just isn't for me. I did like that the shop next door was named Goose though, so props to that.

For starters, the pickings in the area per "chill hip bar" really aren't too spectacular late night. Duck duck is my new go-to place for a chill drink without the disturbance of artsy fartsy types in your face at 2am like at sweet science. Unwelcome attention isn't an issue at duck duck which is refreshing. Also, prices are fair for the neighborhood. Crowd is mixed bag of hipsters yuppies eclectics and neighborhood folk. People who strike a convo with u in here won't bother u if u want to be alone. Quiet enough to have close chat. Loud enough to not be a boring bar. Open late. Nice bartenders, not so attentive but definitely always nice. Cash only but there's a ATM. Ducks in abundance are the theme, and there's a random stairway to nothing which is a great conversation starter if you bring someone there. Chill spot almost every night of the week.

A nice dive bar where the lights are low and the spirits are high. I stopped in to meet up with some friends and the bartender was busy and forgot about me. Since I was in the middle of conversations, I didn't even notice. Once the bartender was free, she apologized profusely and then comped a drink for us. She didn't have to do that but it was SOOOOO nice. It only added the the great time at duckduck. If you want a nice spot with good drinks, nice specials and polite bartenders, hit duckduck.

They are NOT dog friendly. Woman behind the bar was curt and rude, and said that only service dogs were allowed (see other reviews on how inconsistent they are). I learned later from others that people who go there just lie and say their dogs were service animals. I would never do that and jeopardize the real need of people with disabilities.

The space is much larger than I was expecting when I walked up. The space was busy but not over crowded. They had a decent beer selection and several cocktails (which I didn't try).

Name a better bar in this area, I dare ya. It's truly the best. They have a great selection of draft beers to choose from and some cocktails as well so a full bar is available. If you come on a Sunday, Kasey will be bartending and she's a true gem. When you're there you're family. Essentially the Applebee's of bars. The atmosphere is very open and the windows and wood make for a relaxing space. Highly recommend and not just if you're in the neighborhood for food.

I have been here a few times after work with friends. The bar is very plain and dark (likely due to the wood interior). The bartenders are okay and The drinks are good. However, I absolutely hate the smell of this bar (why is no one else writing about this?!) There is a musty/ sewage smell that hits you in the face the second you walk in ... every time. The bathroom is also kind of gross. I'm in my late 20's so maybe I'm just past the age limit for enjoying this kind of place...

I stopped in to hear a local DJ perform. It's the cutest dive bar I've seen with pews and exposed walls. Cash money only. I just had a bourbon neat and the price was pretty reasonable. No cover on the night I went. I had a blast chair dancing and people watching. The DJ was worth the trip from Chelsea. The staff was cool. One of the bartenders danced and had me cracking up as he bussed tables. Overall a cool night in BK!

I came here on the Thursday night before Halloweekend. I wasn't expecting a full house but at the same time I also didn't expect how many people actually had the same bright idea. I go to bars to socialize, and that night I had a decent pick of the litter (roughly 25-30 different people). The topics of conversation don't matter to me; I can wax poetic about anything from theme parks to Rosa Parks. That said, the drinks do a great job at facilitating my confidence to approach strangers, all while being quite well made. In my humble opinion, this bar captures the essence of what you would want in something "divey"--it's great if you want to just hang around all night and meet people, or if you just wanna have a few drinks with your friends before you go somewhere else in the black void we call Brooklyn, New York. I will close with my final interaction of that night. I met a cool dude; we had very similar interests. Conversation flowed nicely, but that's not what was the most pressing matter. My active listening skills decided to take a backseat to my bodily functions. In other words, something I had eaten (presumably the lamb over rice I found in the backseat of my Uber) finally decided it was time to begin the digestion process. Inebriated, I could barely control the unconscious processes my body wanted to initiate. As I was saying my goodbye to this nice gentleman, I felt something in the lower-back region of my stone-colored chinos. It was warm, like a Grandmother's kiss. Similarly, it was warm like that one area of the local community pool where that nervous child just mysteriously swam away from. I'm talking of course about number two, folks. I caught a whiff and decided I needed to leave faster than immediately. After a bit of pushing-and-pulling I was able to relinquish myself of the conversational clutches I once facilitated. Darting to the bathroom, I had one thought--"What is my game plan if it is what I think it is?". Thankfully, I hadn't soiled my trousers (take *that*, schadenfreude!), and I washed my hands before leaving. Would I go back again, even after I thought I shit my pants? Sure! I just need to be more weary of the mystery foods the Uber deities bestow unto me.

Sanitized faux hip bar. I guess it's supposed to look low key, but everything about it is by-the-books. The bartender asked for my ID (I'm in my 30s), and had me retrieve the ID of my friend waiting at the table (also in her 30s). Cameras everywhere. Sign on the bathroom that says, one person at a time or you will be asked to leave. Also: Cash only. That's all fine and good if it's that kind of bar, but don't masquerade as a chill, easy spot when you're just another corporate pile of wood. Two stars instead of one because draft beers are cheap.

The two stars are for the music and friendly bouncer. The absence of the other three, however, are for the bartenders -- in particular, Ryan! He watched my friend get hit in the face and just walked away. Later, when we tried to get more details about what happened, he shouted at us and then threw his business card (lol). The worst.

Wouldn't say this about too many places but wow... You can have more fun at home. The "DJ" "Spins" a "track" that is as basic as they come, generic, pre-made garbage. The bartenders are the type of bros you never wanted to hang with in college but are now serving you drinks (which makes sense if you think about it). Most of the folks hanging out here are just staring at you trying to have fun but mostly just looking bored. The main reason you don't want to come here is the"manager/owner" creeping on your girls. Completely weird and not something you expect or welcome. When you stand up for your ladies because you don't know why the "cool dude" with the white Hanes T is hovering...you will be told to leave by the larger bouncer. "Reason", the "owner/manger", says you're being disruptive. Ok, cool guy, I'll take my hotter-than-you-will-get -ladies home to continue the party. In the meantime...nice necklace... Sorry the ladies didn't like you. Maybe it's because your bar sucks compared to the other options in the hood. We had more fun around the corner before we came here. Will write a review and praise the "manager/owner", in that review shortly...speaking of shortly, maybe that's why he wasn't cool, dude was shorter than all the girls. It's all coming together. Duck the Duck Duck...there are better places to spend your money.
