Due Amici Pizza & Pasta Bar

We randomly stumbled across this little gem while exploring the Historic Ybor City District and let me tell you - these guys know what they are doing when it gets to pizza!! We tried a slice of the supreme pizza and a slice of the stuffed pizza. It was hard to pick with all the varieties they offer but we finally narrowed it down. Great crust, the sauce has that little hint of sweetness, and the toppings tasted fresh! I loved the atmosphere, the music was great, the vibes were just right. The service was super fast and friendly. We will definitely be back to try more things of the menu.

We visited Due Amici because the atmosphere and decor looked interesting but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations. The meatballs were dry and oddly textured, more like a ball of meat than anything resembling a proper meatball. The sauce tasted like canned tomatoes with a sprinkle of basil. My three sons all found the pizza plain and low quality, and the calzone didn’t fare much better. My wife also agreed the meatballs were a miss. To top it off, my middle son ran out of the bathroom after spotting a palmetto bug inside. Probably won’t be back.

First time eating from here, and I was not disappointed at all! I ordered takeout for my family, and although there was a small issue with the order registration, things got fixed quickly because of the helpful staff. I was even offered some cannolis for our troubles! Thank you Fari for being so patient and sweet! So now for food: we ordered pizza, which was great! Shout out to Ricky for that delicious pizza. And the bread and pasta were also amazing by! Shout out to Didi as well for his help! And the cannolis? Loved them. They were great not only because they tasted good, but also because of how great the service we were given. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, give this place a shot! Would definitely order from them again :)

We were visiting from out-of-town last week & had no clue where to eat. My family & I walked by this restaurant & decided to check it out. So glad we did!!! Everything we ordered was amazing! From the cheese pizza, mozzarella sticks, cheese tortellini & the fettuccine alfredo ALL were delicious! The service was top notch h & the ambience was perfect. I highly recommend!!!

Due Amici one of the best Italian Restaurant in the downtown of the Tampa Bay Area. They have good choice of vegetarian pizza. I was ordered Mashroom and White pizza slice 🍕 both was super crispy and delicious 😋. Highly recommend. Pizza slice start from $8 to 13$ per slice liltle bit expensive as my point of view. In addition they serve fresh salad as well as yummy desserts. Highly recommended this italian restaurant.

If I could give it 6 stars, I would! The food is absolutely excellent — a solid 10 out of 10. The ambiance is just as perfect, cozy and inviting, also a 10. One of the best parts? They’re open until 3am, which is amazing. But what truly sets Due Amici apart is the service — without a doubt the best we’ve received anywhere in the United States. Don’t think twice — make sure to stop by Due Amici!

Visiting from Texas and we decided to randomly stop by. Hands down the best experience we had in all of Florida! The food was AMAZING, the service was exceptional and the music kept us grooving throughout our meal! 10/10 recommend!! YOU MUST COME TRY!!

Great spot, we walked in randomly while checking out Ybor. The place is quite large inside with lots of seating. Plenty of different slices of pizza to pick from ready selection or you can make one to order. I grabbed the pepperoni as it's my go to. Its was promptly warmed up and even more promptly devoured. The dough is really good. Portions are quite large and prices are great. If you're in the area give them a try!

Not sure why this place is so highly rated, maybe it was just one bad experience. This summer I was a tourist from out-of-town who stopped by late on a Friday night (around 1 AM) after a full day at Busch Gardens. Saw the great ratings for this spot and had never been (despite having been hung out in some of the Ybor City bars a few times in the past) so wanted to check it out. Due Amici is smack dab in the middle of 7th street, right in the heart of Ybor City. Waited in a little bit of a line and the first thing that blew my mind is the spot had no pepperoni or cheese slices available (and were unable to provide indication of if they'd have pepperoni or cheese the rest of the night). Pizza might be my favorite food - in my decades of frequenting pizza spots have never heard of a pizza restaurant not having pepperoni or cheese available LOL. So I ended up having to get a slice of pepperoni and bacon. With the can of coke I ordered my bill came out to around $10... just for a single slice of pizza and a can of coke. Was definitely disappointed with the pricing - I should've just walked out without my order but I'd already took the time to wait in line so just went with it. What's more is the slice wasn't even fresh - it had been sitting for a while and they heated it up quickly. Because I was still hungry I ended up walking down the street to Monster Pizza, where there were plenty of pepperoni and cheese slices available despite also having a big crowd. So ordered a couple more slices at Monster and came away satisfied. So overall, my main gripes with Due Amici are the fact that they didn't have cheese or pepperoni slices, which I would think would be a staple of any respectable pizza shop, available and the pricing. The pizza itself was decent (even just being a quickly warmed up slice), though nothing special. Also no beer sold here (at least from what I was told), though they did sell hard seltzer and wine. Maybe it was just a one-time bad experience so I might give this place another shot the next time I'm in Tampa. But my experiences at Eddie & Sam's pizza in downtown Tampa and even at Monster Pizza down the street from Due Amice were much, much better...

First visit during lunch on a Monday. Heard much hype but overall experience was average. We found street parking a block away for under $5 for 2hrs. They had a wide selection of pizzas on display for ordering by slice. I got the Florentine and stuffed meat lovers. None of the slices are labeled with price. Will go into pricing at the end. It was open seating and there were plenty of tables. Slices are heated up in the oven and brought to you. The primary issue I experienced was that my food was not heated enough. It was warmish but the cheese on my slices were not hot at all which was especially noticeable in the thick stuffed slice. The contrast was also notable when compared to my wife's slices, which were heated very well and warping their plastic forks. So it really felt like I was eating leftover pizza at the restaurant. Despite that, the pizza did taste good. Just could have been much better if food was hot. As a new local, my wife thinks their white pizza is the best in the area so far. I enjoyed my Florentine pizza and would stick with the NY thin crust slices next time. Also, their women's restroom was out of handsoap. The greatest downfall of the experience was reviewing the receipt later... regular slice was $6.77 and stuffed was $11.99. There was also a 3% credit card surcharge and they do not accept cash. I tipped an automatically calculated 20% which was calculated based on the inflated total of food plus tax plus the cc surcharge. Cost of food was fine but overall cost did not meet expectations. Knowing what I know now and what I experienced, would not pre-tip at payment again.

One of the only restaurants open late in Ybor and definitely not a bad choice at all. The pizza is so good here and planned with flavor. They get busy but the service never takes too long especially when you're ready for a bite after dancing your butt off all night. Not very much space but people normally eat and leave pretty quickly. Well lit and easy to find.

The pizza polar has many toppings to choose from for your pizza. The restaurant is super clean and it's quite a few other entrees on the menu. :-) I haven't been to Due Amici in awhile. Since we're walking the strip, I decided to order a huge pizza for my family. My grandkids love pizza, so I ordered a pepperoni pizza. The owner is super friendly and so are the employees. It's hot outside, so as I waited for the pizza to bake, I sat inside the restaurant. I also ordered a water which was free and a coke soda. The pizza was delicious, and my family was stuffed. We had a great day today in Yubor. We will be back, soon. :-)

Pizza was fresh and delicious. Please keep in mind, this pizza is enormous. I ordered a large and 6 of us couldn't finish it. There were 2 pieces left over. Worth every freaking bite! We had this delivered and did not eat inside, so I can't speak for the inside. However, delivery was quick. It was still hot upon arrival!

Pizza alone is worth the 5 stars for me! I'm sure their other food is good to but came for pizza and their slices are huge you only need one. The pizzas are pre-made so you can see which one you want you tell the worker they pop it in the oven and the line keeps moving. By the time we paid for our pizza it was heated up. We opted to eat in. They have some seats inside for eating. Saturday night this place stays busy yet moving. I had the bbq chicken pizza and omg it was delicious. I love a place that uses fried chicken on their pizza it is far and few inbetween. It's thin sliced pizza. If I'm back this way I have to come back.

Nice pizza place. Most pies are premade so you see what you get Got the capese slice. One slice is all you need as they are generous slices. Had that with an ice cold Yuengling and I am ready to continue walking Ybor City. The place is great. Can see why they are so highly rated

The pizza options here are top tier! The lasagna, Florentine, and meat lovers pizzas are my faves! The service is quick and attentive. Ambiance is relaxing and casual. Def my favorite spot anytime I've had a little to much to drink in ybor. Lol. See for yourself!

This pizza was absolutely amazing! We stopped here after going to several bars while out on a Friday night in Ybor. I was visiting Tampa from Dallas. The pizza was so delicious that I wished I could have taken some back to Texas. There was a long line but it moved fast and was very efficient. All around a great place for pizza and if you are in Tampa definitely stop by and grab a slice!

Wasn't bad by any means it was decent but nothing I would be traveling out to get. The bbq chicken pizza was the best. We tried a white pizza, cheese, bbq Chicken, and buffalo chicken pizza.

The food was amazing. We had chicken marsala and baked ziti and both were delicious. Everyone else in the place was eating pizza, so maybe we will try that next time.

Okay I don't think I'll be going anywhere else for pizza for a while, because this place is pretty much everything I could ever want I got the stuffed meat lovers and this other one I don't remember the exact name of, but it was a white mushroom/spinach slice. First off, their pizzas are HUGE. Not like, big, but GIGANTIC. Usually I'll eat around 3 slices of pizza max until I'm full, but I could barely finish one here. 10/10 for portion sizes. The crust here is some of the best I've ever had, crispy but with a slightly spongy inside. I could probably live off of the stuffed meat lovers for the rest of my life, honestly. My partner got the Chicken Parmesan, and I absolutely loved the pasta it came with-- perfectly al dente. They also gave us some complimentary cannoli!??!? Wonderful service and people all around. I also love the vibes here with a big open kitchen and lots of space. My only complaint is it's in Ybor and parking is insanely expensive. That being said, I'm absolutely coming back here!

If you want pizza and you are in Ybor, then definitely check out Due Amici. Really good pizza, lots of different options of toppings. They even gave us cannoli on the house, which was a nice surprise, especially because it was really tasty. You can get food really quickly here because the pizzas are already made and they'll heat the slices up in the oven, but everything still tastes fresh and good quality. You can even see them tossing the pizza dough while you are there if you catch it at the right time.

We had a group of 10 for our company party. Our waiter was really nice and it was impressive how he wasn't writing down any of our orders, but unfortunately as a result, we didn't get our meals at the same time and some orders were forgotten. Beet salad was ok. Lots of beets, but they were overcooked and didn't taste fresh. Pizza was delicious! The owners of the place were really nice and thankful for our visit.

Discovered a new reason to love Due Amici, aside from the phenomenal pizza. I'm eating keto right now and wanted to introduce some visiting family members to the pizza here. Checked the menu and saw they offer chicken wings and some meatballs. We asked the guy at the register about these items and he described them all as being freshly made in house. I went ahead and ordered those for myself and everybody else got pizzas. Lo and behold, both things were absolutely delicious. The meatballs tasted fresh and very great quality. The marinara sauce was delicious. My wife ate the bread that came with it, I took a little bite, and it was delicious chewy and clearly freshly made. The chicken wings were a hit for me. They were crunchy, tasty, and the buffalo sauce was phenomenal. All made in the house. Even the blue cheese dip was a stand out for me. The food was also plated in a very picturesque way. As always, all staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The atmosphere is always a good one in here. Even when busy.

Snowbird in Tampa for last 5 years and each year the chicken parm has gotten worse - tonight was my final meal there. Nicest people/workers but management has resorted to using cheaper sauce, cheaper noodles, cheaper and much less chicken -- used to be 2 huge breasts. Sad what happened here as this usually was my special treat meal. They are probably responding in real time to the degrading neighborhood... they don't need to be good anymore and so naturally they stopped trying. Make Parm Great Again!

Stopped in on a quiet Monday afternoon. Ordered several slices of pizza. Had meat lovers, pepperoni, and BBQ chicken. Huge portions and great prices. Would love to try the pasta next time.

Absolutley loved, and will go back! This gem is located in Ybor. Super cute space with a family style table in the middle, and TVs for sports watching. As you walk in, you're greeted with 12-14 different pizzas, that are by the slice. Towards the back is another counter with prepacked salads, pasta, and desserts. Options include vegetarian pizza, chicken pizzas, and meat pizzas. Once you order, your slices are thrown into the pizza oven. We had a slice of the stuffed pizza, which is huge and an extra bit of marinara for dipping. We also had the Lasagna Pizza Slice. Normally I'm not a fan of ground beef on a pizza bc it's boring but not this. Both pizzas were fantastic, with a nice robust sauce. The mini cannoli was given to us while we were browsing. Super yummy!

The service was fast and friendly, even with us ordering a whole pizza. It came out quickly and we absolutely devoured it

I'm late to the party but we had to check out this late night Ybor stalwart based on the recommendation of our uber driver in New York City, believe it or not! We popped in for a to go order on a late Thursday afternoon and Chris kindly helped out and recommended pizza slice types, at my request, since there were so many to choose from. Thanks Chris! The stuffed pizza was huge, filling and delicious! We also got a calzone, which Chris made fresh on the spot, and a spaghetti and meatballs because, why not? The kitchen is open and they apparently crank out their own pasta using a massive red Hobart mixer! The style and the vibe are casual with a few folks eating in and most getting to go. Life is good with excellent pizza, calzone and pasta served up with a smile!

Probably the best slice joint I've found in Tampa. More different types than you need. Excellent sauce. Very close to NYC quality pizza

Thursday 9/12/2024 This is another spot that I had came across while looking for the best pizza in Tampa through Reddit and yet again it didn't deliver. We made a phone call order for pickup and I got a chicken parm pizza slice, a lasagna pizza slice, and a bbq chicken pizza slice for a total of $19.53. I think the pizza is a very unique and creative idea but the execution isn't quite there. - The chicken parm slice toppings were very few and it barely had any chicken on it. As a rating, I'd give it a 4.3/10. - The Lasagna pizza slice was easily the best of the slices I had as the toppings were spread evenly along the slice. As a rating, I'd give it a 7.3/10. - The Bbq chicken pizza slice also suffers from a lack of toppings as there wasn't much bbq sauce and barely any chicken. As a rating, I'd give it a 4/10. Overall, the price is expensive and the pizza itself (dough & chese) is alright but the main isssue is the execution of these various specialty pizza flavors due to toppings. It's an alright spot but I do think that it could be a lot better with some easy fixes aka better execution.

Excellent pizza! A little pricey for a slice. But very good. I ordered a slice of white pizza and slice of Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza. Huge slices. Only ate one and took the other home for the next day. Heated up perfectly in the oven.

I do have nyc and philly pizza bias. My friend said I would love this pizza. I ordered two slices and a water. I should have ordered 1 slice. The pizza is very filling. The pizza was good and the cheese pull passed the test.

Well, we were at the Ybor city farmers market and I came onto yelp to look for a place to eat and I asked a couple people and they suggested this place so we walked down and it was phenomenal. Had the best pizza in the whole world I'm buying some pizza sauce and they give you a little cannoli. The ambience is beautifuland we're coming back.

This is an authentic pizza parlor. The pizza was delicious. I got the pepperoni and sausage slice which is huge. I would have loved to try other items but I was so full. If there is a better place than thos I would love to try it ....

Our first time at Due Amici Pizza and Pasta Bar was such a memorable experience! My partner, his parents (who were visiting Tampa since we just moved here), their grandson, and I all went, and the owner made us feel like family right away. He even gave the little one a free cannoli and kept us laughing with his jokes--it was such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered two whole pizzas, and they were massive! Perfectly cooked, delicious, and plenty to share. Next time, we might just stick to a slice because these pizzas are no joke! This place isn't just about amazing food; it's about heart and hospitality. We're already planning to go back, this spot is a new favorite for sure!

The pizza was amazing ! The staff was awesome , this was my first time here and I can't wait to come back again , I'm going to tell my friends and family that they need to come try there pizza , if there is a way it is well worth it.

Wife and I have been going to Due Amici for many years for a few slices of pizza. This afternoon I ordered the Meatball pharm sandwich. The bread was toasted to much, hardly any sauce and the meatballs were dry and overcooked. I didn't finish half of he sandwich and threw the other half away. The cost of the sandwich was close to $22, total waste of money. I informed the person behind the pizza counter where I ordered and paid for the sandwich, and he only said was he will let someone know. Also, they no longer take cash, only credit card and charge extra fee for that. Use to enjoy going here, seems this business has forgotten it's roots and cut corners. Not going back anytime soon.

Right on 7th have in the heart of Ybor city this place is amazing! Honestly one of the best slices of pizza I have ever eaten! All the pizzas displayed looked like works of art! Service was amazing and atmosphere was like a high end Italian kitchen. Will eat here every time I'm in town! Couldn't recommend this place enough!!! Follow up: I've been here 3 times in 3 days!!! The cheesecake is to die for!!!!!

We ordered out so can't talk about the ambiance or service BUT as for the food, I was NOT impressed! The first thing k I saw was the lasagna pizza. I read the reviews and it said it was delicious. If the lol wasn't enough then after I tasted it, I'd have to disagree 100%! FIRST of all where are there blobs of marinara all over and the ricotta needs to be SPREAD not just plopped on in chunks! Lasagna needs to be in LAYERS, I feel like I woulda been better off just getting the pasta smh DO BETTER!

For the price of your food it's quality is unacceptable and to send it out for delivery to a first time customers without high standard of quality assurance is Despicable. I am sending you the pictures as proof that pictures speaks volumes..... BUMMER Trashed It!!!

The pizza is great that's a no-brainer. Pasta is also very good. What blows me away is that almost every time I come in here with my little one, they drop a dessert off at the table. They're so nice! Ps buffalo chicken pizza is insanely good, as is the margarita.. haven't had a slice I didn't like

Came in with a large group on a Friday afternoon and had an amazing experience! Fast getting everyone through the line. Food arrived quick and was outstanding. Staff was friendly and super helpful. Have already told several friends and family members about it. Can't wait to go back soon!

Upscale New York style pizzeria with huge pizza by the slice and scratch pasta dishes. Had the best slice of Margarita pizza Ive had in years and the aroma of the Chicken Pesto was intoxicating. Save room for Cannoli.

Out in Tampa for a quick weekend trip and saw the is spot had 4 1/2 stars on Yelp! Decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The group I was with all got pizza! Their slices were huge and looked pretty damn scrumptious, but I went with the spaghetti and meatballs! The sauce was really good. Fresh tomatoes and perfectly spiced. The noodles were Al Dente and the meatballs prefect texture and flavor! Being a Monday around 11:00 am the place was packed. That's always a good sign. The service was amazing! The restaurant is huge, clean and great decor. They have an area packed with jars of their sauce and noodles for purchase! This was definitely some good ole Italian food! Delicious!

We came here for a lunch on a bachelorette weekend & it was one of the highlights of the trip! The atmosphere was amazing, food was tasty, & Geo treated us like queens! The wine was pouring & cannolis were the best I've ever had!

This is an amazing pizza spot and even better pasta spot. Stopped here to grab a quick bite to eat. There was a parade going on, and luckily for us the restaurants were empty. Came inside and it was a little bit confusing on how to order the food. The lady was kind enough to let us know: the pizzas are ordered where the pizza is located physically and anything else is ordered with her. We decided to order two pasta dishes, and about eight slices of pizza. I can tell you that each slice of pizza they have was unique they were all delicious. They were warmed in the oven. The kids and my husband ate all the food. I was happy when the pasta came. The pasta was absolutely delicious. I would love to come back for the pasta. Literally crack in a bowl. The pasta is for sure made in house as is the sauce. It was authentic and so tasty. If I go back to Tampa I may hit up this spot again in Ybor city.

Not my first visit. Previous visit I had pizza by the slice...AMAZING. Stopped in to try the pasta. The Lasagna Pasta was stellar! Outstanding customer service, immaculately clean. Watched the pizza artisan at work while I enjoyed a glass of Cabernet. Don't miss out on this spot!

Had that cool old world vibe to it. The pizza was very good. Definitely top notch compared to other Florida places. It compares to NYC, which is saying a lot. They didn't have a Sicilian slices and the guy didn't know what that was. I asked someone else and they explained they had run out. The pizza is fresh out of the oven. The slices are large and the crust is on the thicker side. There was an ok crisp.

Great place for pizza and pasta! I had a slice of lasagna pizza and it was delicious. Me and my co-workers shared 4 of the pasta choices. We had lasagna, chicken Parmesan, cheese tortellini and grilled chicken Alfredo. All were delicious and the pasta is homemade. Highly recommend!!

The food was overall ok. The Mozzarella stick were just ok however the sauce was cold. We ordered chicken parm panini, chicken pesto, pasta, baked ziti, and an extremely over priced, a slice of caprese pizza for $6.77.... Kinda nuts. The food had good flavor and came out quick but the both the chicken parm and pesto chicken was over cooked and a bit rubbery. I think it was quite over priced for what we got, but hey what do I know. There was also several 3% fees, attached to the bill that you didn't see until after you pay.
