Duke of Wellington

Great back street pub in Chelsea but could do with music on instead of TV's superb cosy spot with leather armchairs and a nice fire... if you fancy a nice buzzy pub with all that then give it a visit.

Nice corner pub in the heart of Belgravia sporting an array of Duke of Wellington themed decor. Good selection of ales and dog friendly too. Plenty of space to sit outside and watch the world go by.

A delightful, simple and friendly pub offering a fine selection of beers both keg and cask. Service is bright and cheerful. The eponymous Duke is celebrated here with pictures adorning the walls and a fireplace, perhaps similar to the one whence his violin was consigned. The rest, as they say is history. A lovely pub to Pop into for a drink or two.

A Belgravia, corner house pub with. Good, large square room with a statement central octagonal bar commanding the space with a great beer selection on tap. Other good statements coming from studded, leather armchairs, bench seats, artwork & cool window topped washroom doors with painted lettering. Some identity issues from the faux wood panel paper, checked carpet & an expectation of more historic heritage vibe. Large screen with great all round views of sport, good vibe of groups of friends.

Cozy traditional pub. Well run by Michael the landlord. Nice outdoor seating in posh Belgravia neighbourhood. Televisions for sport always on. Good mix of young and old clientele.

Nice pub with friendly welcoming staff. They have a good selection of beers wines and spirits and also serve food most of the week apart from Sundays. It is also a dog friendly pub

This is a fantastic little pub off the beaten path of London. The space is small and cozy. The staff was friendly. The grilled sausages and mash were perfect. The mash is a sweet potato and squash mash and was delicious. We stopped in for lunch and the pub was bright and quiet.

A genuine old-school Belgravia boozer with charm. Classic swirly carpets, excellent Shepherd Neame draft ales and a nice little bit of outdoors for a crafty fag or enjoying the sunshine. The bar is full of crumbly locals, American tourists and the odd posh kid and mates. This is definitely not a wild night out, but it's hard to think of a more "local"-feeling pub in London. Sadly, John the legendary landlord has now moved on. But the pub remains a classic.

The Duke of Wellington Pub, just off Eaton Square and Chester Row, is perhaps the most unfriendly establishment in which I have wasted my money. The manager, a large gentleman called Mike, managed to go the whole evening without acknowledging my existence, ignoring me like a putrid piece of rotting alcoholic he did not remove purely because said alcoholic was spending money. He had few issues talking to everybody else, welcoming them graciously and spiflicating about football with them for quite substantial amounts of time. This only added to the feeling of unwelcomes which I felt, and his arseholery was compounded by his refusal to serve me a sandwich as the kitchen had 'just shut', despite the fact I had spent 15 minutes trying to get his attention (on a quiet night in an empty pub). I highly recommend you ignore this particular establishment unless you are a local and a regular, in which case you will be treated wonderfully and welcomed warmly. If you enter as a lone stranger, you will merely receive the most overwhelming indifference, the staff not even being capable of the charming rudeness some bars used pride themselves on. You will only feel like a troublesome annoyance, and leave wishing you had gone somewhere else instead.

It's Sunday night and an 82 year old woman plays piano for a night of lovely old shantys, love songs and rousing patriotic tunes. But be warned, they will shush you in a heartbeat if you talk while someone's singing. As RuPaul would say: IT'S QUITE SEVERE UP IN HERE!!! Love it!!!!

The bar staff here are really friendly here, but beyond that I found little to like about this pub. I found it to be a cramped corner boozer with average overpriced beer and average overpriced food. Sorry.

This is a nice place. I've decided to become an ale drinker and the late red was pretty good. Nice food too. Evil says he would like to live here as he likes the furniture

This place is old school. I lived across the street as a kid, and would come here for lunch with my dad. It has come through the years well, I'd say. It's got the relaxed atmosphere you want. But it's got a good selection of Shepherd Naeme ales and attentive service.

A great pub with a fantastic mix of customers which is often rare in this area. Shows big sports matches on its TV (although probably worth calling ahead and checking) and is well priced. Have a Pie of the Day and traditional pub food, including cheesy chips which are great and cheap. However, I'm pretty sure food is not served on a Sunday which can be a bit tricky. Great for a quick pub lunch in winter during the week, or a pint in the evening. Friendly staff and clean interior. Great for transport links to Victoria and Sloane Square, and has tables outside in summer.

Its in a lovely location hidden away from the main busy streets. They have a few good Ales and the pub itself is quite nice although its nothing to sing about. The manager however, who is French and wears glasses, (i dont have anything against french people) is unbelievably rude. I ordered 2 pints of Asahi and 1 pint of Master Brew and he gave me four pints. I very politely said i did not order 4 pints and he refused to accept it. I ended up just paying for the four drinks because i couldnt be bothered to argue with him. He later came outside and shouted at everybody to go inside and then almost straight away tried to take our drinks away from us. We needed more than a 1 minute warning!!!

Very interesting place to relax and chill out. Lots of regulars with always the same drink and the same seat. Warn summer evening it can get crowded but albeit small there s a place for everyone. Great selection of drink, friendly service but like previous reviewer, I miss John Bond, the extravagant landlord
