"Exposed brick walls and Edison bulbs set the scene for an evening of modern Southern cuisine at Dumbwaiter. Gulf-sourced ingredients star in dishes like shrimp and grits made with Southern Alabama-crafted Conecuh sausage (the Mobile equivalent of New Orleans andouille) and a hearty pork chop served with spicy collard greens. Don’t skip the homestyle desserts — the bread pudding and rich chocolate brownie, both served warm and topped with vanilla ice cream, are comfort in a bowl. Dumbwaiter is closed on Sundays and Mondays." - Sarah Bisacca

Google
Pros: It is a very nice, VERY upscale dining experience with the best bread pudding dessert I have ever had. The service was fantastic. I had a center cut filet that melted in the mouth. *** Con: very expensive. The price was so high we will probably not return, but again the food, service and atmosphere were great.

Our waiter Corey was amazing. Hostess was scattered and the cutting board (lamb) my husband had was just ok which was not good when the meal cost $50. I had herb chicken and it was pretty good. The appetizer was greatly good we had fried green tomatoes

Went to the Dumbwaiter with friends for the first time ahead of a show at the Seanger Theater & we were not disappointed! We split a number of appetizers our favorite of which was the Brussel sprouts- holy cow were they delish & it was a HUGE portion size! Would definitely order them again. The Caesar salad was also delish & the pork rinds were good but we wouldn’t order them again as the pimento cheese was served warm which wasn’t very appealing to us. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly to us or the table next to us which put a little bit of a damper on things but, we really enjoyed the meal itself as well as the ambience, it’s a beautiful restaurant in a convenient location!

Went here with a few coworkers for dinner. Restaurant was well maintained and had some great options! I'd give a 5 star for the food but 4 of our 5 diners ordered steaks at varying temperatures and not one of them was correct.

Google
Oh my! This is a must-visit restaurant! Quaint, good service, and the food is absolutely the most delicious! I ordered the chopped steak with mashed potatoes. Very rich. Good amount with enough for a doggie bag. Please vist!!

Google
This restaurant is awesome. We were in Mobile for an Outstanding in the Field event and ate dinner at the Dumbwaiter the night we flew in. We had lamb, crab cakes and the pot roast. We had the cheesecake and chocolate peanut butter pie for dessert. The servings were very generous and the food was delicious. The young man who was our server was attentive without being intrusive which was much appreciated. Atmosphere is the restaurant is festive without being overbearing. We will return on our next trip down.

Google
For the price, the food was just okay and the portion sizes are very small. Our server was very nice and friendly, but our party was turned off by the surprise "cake fee" we got charged for bringing our own cake. $25 seems excessive for holding a cake in your cooler for an hour. We even opened it up, cut it and served it ourselves. It would have been more appropriate to inform us of the fee when we arrived with the cake. Just diminished the experience for us a bit. I don't know that I would go back.

Lovely dinner. Pot Roast was a bit fatty for my taste. Great flavor just not the best portion of beef rib I guess. Fried pimento was awesome. Wedge salad also great.

Bill K.

Yelp
Great food, and cocktails. Service? There isn't any - you order at the counter, and pick it up when buzzed. If you're looking for a place at that end of Dauphin's, skip the benches, go inside the place across the street, and be dazzled by the cocktail wizardry, and taken care of by the food.

Alex R.

Yelp
The place was quaint and warmly lit and the table arrangement was well spaced etc. However, the room temperature was cool to cold. I had to put on a fleece pullover. The rest of the party was also heavily attired. I ordered the MEAT AND POTATOES, a wagyu flat iron steak, potato hash, sautéed bell peppers and onions topped with housemade woosh Food arrived warm. The potatoes were stale as if they had been cooked hours before and allowed to get cold and then reheated. Which gave them a grainy textuce. The steak was cooked the way I like it, raw. So it was easy to tell it was not wagyu beef. The flat iron steak was pre-sliced. The whole meal was extremely salty because of the homemade whoosh(Worcester sauce) that covered everything And there was no vegetable served with it. Due to the room and serving temperature my food was cold before I was done. Waitress was prompt and attentive. There was a $3.95 upcharge for credit and debit payments. All in all it was not a favourable experience. I probably will not return.

Yelp
**3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars** Solid dishes with unique southern twist. I tried the mixed green salad ($13) to start, which was delicious, and then the half baked oysters ($22). These were super decadent with cheese, but I really enjoyed them (probably because we had the salad as well). The brussel sprouts ($13) were pretty good with a vinegarette sauce, but I remember them being a bit oily. For an entree, I had the pot roast ($35), which was smaller than I thought it'd be, but the meat was very tender. Overall, I really enjoyed the dish. Great service and ambiance as well!

Lorine W.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant in the center of Mobile. Service was great and our waitress was darling. Plenty of southern favorites such as fresh fried pork rinds and pimento cheese balls. The Brussel sprouts were the star of the show. My biggest dig is if I'm going to pay $15 for an old fashioned it better not have a freaking maraschino cherry. Seriously....i pride myself on my old fashioned standards and that is one.

Yelp
Several locals recommended this restaurant when asked where can we get some really good food in downtown Mobile, so of course had to try it. I see why, the menu is vast with so many southern options which make you feel immersed in the South. It's a bustling place with many couples out for date night, girls night and even a few families. The owner was also walking around and came to introduce himself to us which a really nice touch. The food 10/10, everything was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend id you are ever in the Moblie, AL area.

Tanisha B.

Yelp
This is a lovely restaurant with a great vibe. It nestled in the heart of downtown Mobile. My family went here for my mom's birthday and the food did not disappoint. I had the short rib with mashed potatoes and carrots. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The vibe was nice as well. Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the dishes and also very pleasant. I would definitely eat here again. Also, you do need a reservation, as they get pretty busy. Check them out soon.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Everything about the DumbWaiter restaurant was great! We had a big party of 18 and even though they had to split us up, we were happy that they could even take all of us since we called the day of. Our servers were great, knowledgeable, and patient. Our food was amazing too! I ordered the creole seafood pasta. It already came with shrimp, sausage, and crab. I decided to add chicken, but it really didn't need any extra meat. The pasta was a nice helping. It was very creamy. It could've been a little bit warmer, but other than that, it was delicious. I will say the best item there was the strawberry cheesecake. That was the best cheesecake I have ever had. It was super fluffy and delicious! The next time I visit, I just want the dessert!

Susanne J.

Yelp
I would definitely rate them five stars. I went with my sisters for our birthday before going to a play downtown. The service and food were both excellent. I had the pot roast which was delicious, my sisters had the scallops and steak. All was enjoyed and we all agreed that we would be returning. We also had cocktails, I can't remember the names of them but they were pretty good.

Makenzie D.

Yelp
Delicious as always! The pimiento bites were so flavorful. I loved the Caesar salad because it was super fresh and the dressing was to die for. I got the chopped steak and I loved every bite. The pork chop was amazing as well. The greens have a little kick to them. Our waiter was very nice. It's a cozy, well lit restaurant. Great overall!

Ginny A.

Yelp
I really liked this restaurant. The food was excellent. One member of my party had a seafood creole and another had a filet. Both meals were excellent. Cocktails were delicious. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The chairs are not the most comfortable but the establishment is tastefully decorated. Service was a little slow but the restaurant was extremely busy. While a bit slow, the servers are all very friendly so the customer service was still an A+. Just don't visit when you are in a rush. Give yourself some time to relax, enjoy some good cocktails, and enjoy a delicious meal. Location is perfect!

Yelp
Great service and great food! Brussel sprouts are a must have!! I'm not a fan of bacon, which came on the brussel sprouts, but they were able to put the bacon on the side so my partner could still eat them. Our waiter, Corey, was very attentive, and refilled my soft drink before I had a chance to ask. Love the ambiance and the lighting. Highly recommend!

Michael H.

Yelp
Three of us descended on Dumbwaiter for something of a celebratory dinner. We enjoyed a wonderful meal that included a daily fish special, which was one of the best preparations of Mahi Mahi that I've ever tasted. The chocolate peanut butter pie was out of this world. We loved the decor and ambiance of the restaurant, and our waitress had a dry sense of humor that made the evening. Five stars!

Caitlin D.

Yelp
We had such a great time at Dumbwaiter! I went with a group of 8 from work. The service was excellent! The waitress was having a great time with our group. Our food came out timely and phenomenal. I also recommend having coffee at the end of your email b the coffee they serve if fresh pressed and a real treat!

Derrick C.

Yelp
A nice little spot in downtown Mobile that I would, without a doubt, visit again. The decor was simple but beautifully done. The service was top notch from the host to the waitress we had. Prices were beyond fair considering the portion sizes and the quality of food. The meal itself was probably better than all of that though. We started off with the fried green tomato app - it comes with 3 decent sized tomatoes but also in between each tomato was creamy piece of fried cheese - perfect mix with the tomatoes. The crab sauce on top wasn't overly crabby but added that little bit of brightness and a sweetness to the dish. I had the fried pork chop and thinking the dish wouldn't have enough food with the single cut (for a big guy like me ), I got the double cut and I was wrong - very wrong - the double cut was literally 2 huge pork chops (and 1 would've easily been enough). The collards and goat cheese mashed potatoes were great sides to the perfectly fried and full of flavor pork chops. Great place - we will definitely be back at some point and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a very upgraded southern meal.

Yelp
First time in Mobile and attended a team dinner, the food was great! Asparagus was my favorite appetizer and I had the Tennsaw Torenadoes. The dish was perfectly cooked with a very good taste. Highly recommend!

Janelle P.

Yelp
My first time in Mobile, AL I had to opportunity to visit this lively city. I decided to have dinner at Dumbwaiter, I ordered the baked oysters and one of their signature dishes. Everything was delicious, attentive staff, knowledgeable with the menu however the baked oysters were barely hot, and loaded with cheese but the presentation was gorgeous.

Emily R.

Yelp
We went here for a birthday and it was great! Great food all around, everyone at our table loved their plate. Would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Get ready folks! If you read my reviews, you know I have A LOT of them; however, I rarely declare that a specific restaurant is in the Top 20 of my favorite Yelp reviewed restaurants ever. Well, this one made the list! It is in the Top 20 of my ever favorites among ones in other cities like Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta, etc. In a small, intimate but rather casual and louder environment is dumbwaiter. (There is an actual [now non-operable] dumbwaiter in the back). The food was over the top excellent for me. We had reservations here on a Wednesday night for a Party of 10. The table shared some appetizers including the New South Brussel Sprouts and the Fried Pimento. The brussels were simply excellent and featured some onions and a crazy delicious honey balsalmic with bacon. The fried pimento had apple bacon jam and candied onions. I also had a beverage and that was the Blood Orange Paloma! For my entree -- well that was the star of the meal, which pushed my rating of this place to like an 11 out of 10. I had the Hook to Table. The featured fish changes on this dish; however, today it was a Sheephead. Honestly, I have never even heard of Sheephead fish before; however, it was excellent. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly with some delicious shrimp creme sauce on top. The dish also came with some caramelized green beans and ground cheddar grits. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. This is the only thing that I didn't feel stood out for me personally. I am NOT saying it was bad. I am just saying in comparision to the rest of the meal which was perfection, I felt this was more of a 7 out of 10. No big deal. Our server was pleasant, as it is not always easy dealing with large groups of people! Overall, an excellent experience. I would love to come back again in the future. Thank you Dumbwaiter

Leon M.

Yelp
I would give the food a 5 star rating. I had the short rib and my wife had the scallops. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection with a very nice presentation. The cheesecake dessert was also very good but massive and could easily feed 3 people. The service was adequate, but not stellar. Our sever was attentive but had zero enthusiasm and personality. I deducted a star for two reasons. First was the cocktails. Simply put, they were not good. My wife's was terrible and had to be sent back. Her second one was one of the house cocktails and was decent at best and she really isn't that picky. Finally, let's address those terrible chairs. They are very uncomfortable, slick, hard metal seats. In the pants I was wearing, I was literally sliding forward the entire dinner and had to use legs to brace myself from hanging from the edge of my seat. They are the most uncomfortable restaurant seats I have ever sat in.

Clint J.

Yelp
Fantastic food!!!!!! This will be a reoccurring stop in Mobile from now on! Best shrimp and grits!

Charles J.

Yelp
Date night Decided to give Dumbwaiter a try again. We have not been here since Covid jumped on the scene. Glad to know they have increased the portion size for the Brussel Sprouts. Delicious and perhaps better than before. We both had a steak with margaritas and a mule. Very good addition to the food options available downtown. We love downtown.

Dawn W.

Yelp
(this is only half...I split it with my husband). Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of the fried pimento cheese-that was off the wall incredible! They should jar the bacon apple jam and caramelized onions!! I can't possibly eat a single bite of the dessert, but my husband says it's not too sweet and a solid choice. He is not a dessert person, but everything else was so good, he wanted to try it. Even the sweet tea is perfect! John; our server was on top of it, the decor is adorable, and the owner, Wes is very nice to talk to and quick to clean off tables thoroughly. I don't live anywhere near here, but worth the trip to at least try the other things I knew I couldn't eat.

Gigi P.

Yelp
The four of us enjoyed this downtown Mobile restaurant! Fantastic wait staff and super ambiance! Three of us had Amberjack and loved it! I had the petite filet and accoutrements- the plate was clean when I finished! Hardly ever happens! I recommend this restaurant as a super spot to eat and look forward to going back!

Tamela S.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. I came here for my birthday and the service was superb. Walked right in and told the hostess I had a reservation for 2 with no hassle. We were seated at the table right next to the window so we had a lil view of the street which added to the overall calm ambiance of the restaurant. Don't even get me started on the food! I had the rack of lamb (which was seasoned perfectly), mashed potatoes, and sautéed spinach, all cooked to perfection. I don't think I've had anything that delicious in Mobile in a loooong time. 10/10 would recommend

Chrystal M.

Yelp
Food was really good. It is always crowded so reservations recommended. They didn't have the lamb chops this time but the meat and potatoes were just as delicious and a must try.

Christy L.

Yelp
My husband and his co-worker are in Mobile, AL for work. They attempted to eat a late dinner at The Dumbwaiter last night. They stood in the entrance for about 10 to 15 minutes waiting to be greeted/seated. The restaurant was about 80% full. A medium build blonde with a short ponytail in her early thirties finally came up and said "Table for 2?" My husband said "Hello, I know it's close to closing, will you still be able seat us?" His co-worker then said that they had been waiting for at least 10 minutes to be greeted. She informed the co-worker that that was just not possible. She ignored my husband's question and addressed his co-worker and said "Table for 1 or 2?" My husband said, "Ma'am, I asked you a question. Can you seat us even though it's so late?" She then said "Do you want to sit down or not?" My husband said "We are only trying to patronize your business and put money in your pocket." She then said "YOU PEOPLE," walked away from them and went and got a police officer. She told him my husband was being belligerent and disruptive to the entire restaurant. When the policeman arrived, my husband said he no longer had a desire to eat there. Never once was he belligerent or disruptive. I suppose it's worth mentioning that my husband is African American and his co-worker is not. This is beyond disturbing. UPDATE!! I just received a phone call from the manager, Wes. The way he spoke to me explains why Amanda (the blonde) feels she could treat my husband the way she did. I wish I could give this place a zero.

Gary S.

Yelp
Haley was our server. She was amazing. Her service was spot on and her humor was great. The food was even better. I had the Tensaw Tournedos. I'm not sure how they seasoned the shrimp, but wow! The steak was cooked to perfection. The potatoes were awesome I wish I had saved room for dessert. I ordered dirty martinis and they nailed those too. Everyone in our party was impressed. The venue is nicely arranged in a building that hides the inner charm of the dining area. Hell the tables and dishes were even cool. This was very much an unexpected treat that is most certainly a do again.

Meghan S.

Yelp
Made reservations for a weeknight date with the hubby. Our server was awesome, he was very attentive, quite knowledgeable of the menu, and talked us into getting dessert (did not disappoint). The food was absolutely delicious beginning to end. I had to bribe my husband to at least let me try a bite of his steak after he kept raving about it. I see why he didn't want to give it up so easily. The menu offered a good variety of foods that anyone could find something they would enjoy. We will definitely be back!!

Katie M.

Yelp
Reserved for a party of 14 for a birthday celebration. I think the price is ridiculous for the quality and quantity of food served. Text and verbal confirmation for 14 people but there were 16 chairs so 2 extra we had to remove as we were squished into tables in the center of the place. Service was very slow and the waitress seemed angry she didn't smile and was not friendly. Auto addition of 20% gratuity and a $20.00 cake fee for bringing in a birthday cake. I had to serve the cake and they didn't have a cake knife. Also a $5 special food fee on everyone's check not sure what it was for no explanation. Extra charge for using a normal check card. Discount for cash? Funny. Wouldn't be a do-over for myself. Not a fan. Food was just OK. Famous Brussel Sprout appetizers cooked to a charcoal black over done. For the prices they should at least serve bread or crackers. Nada. Also no music was played and it would have helped a lot.

Trisha M.

Yelp
What a find in Mobile. The food and the service were all on point. We tried the fried pimento cheese balls, blackened shrimp, pasta, and the scallops. All were quite delectable in the words of our waiter show was awesome btw. I don't think you can go wrong ordering off this menu! We went on a Thursday night and had made reservations which was a wise choice. To end my meal, I tried the bread pudding suggested by our waiter, Jake. The dessert lived up to the hype he told us about. It was so good.

Diana W.

Yelp
An excellent culinary experience in downtown Mobile, AL. It is in an adorable part of town that is reminiscent of New Orleans. The space is small, but very beautifully decorated - with wheels, and heavy duty ropes characteristic of a real dumb waiter. The food was delicious. The lamb was tender and not gamey, and the filet was melt in your mouth. Lots of flavor and was plated beautifully. Great service and drinks as well. Highly recommend and will be back!

Denise C.

Yelp
Small place that gets filled, even on weekdays so get there early or make reservations. I had the shrimp and grits and loved them. It had a barbeque sauce taste to it and was smooth with a bit of smokiness. Drinks were strong and mixed well.

Stephen D.

Yelp
When I first moved to Mobile this restaurant was in my top ten restaurants to visit. We had friends visiting and Noja and Dauphine's were booked, so we decided on Dumbwaiter, after hearing such great things. Seems all of us had perused the menu at some point with our friends thinking this menu is solid. We started with wine and cocktails, a request for a buttery chardonnay and their signature Old Fashioned. The request for the chardonnay was rebutted, they did not have any and the ice in the old fashioned came with a gang of ice . I requested the ice to be changed and that was met with, what all of us agreed, as an inhospitable reaction from our server. We followed with some starters, Caprésé and Brussel Sprouts. We found both to be sweet, especially the Brussels. Entrées included: Stuffed Chicken with Ravioli, Rack of Lamb and Double Pork Chop fried. The presentation of all dishes were beautiful, looked so good. Too bad they were all a disappointment. The pork was overcooked, dry and collard greens with lardons on the sweet side. The chicken, being the most expensive, was dry as well and was not value for the money. The Lamb was cooked perfectly and the Purée was spot on. Unfortunately the lamb was very salty, just when there was a glimmer of hope... We still decided to stay and do dessert . This is where they shun, all desserts were very good, the Cheesecake was lovely; it was a good mix of airy and density with the raspberry sauce providing a lovely colorful contrast to the dessert. The chocolate cake/pudding was delectable. We did make a dessert which included two scoops of ice-cream, torn mint, nuts, berries and salt. This took our server over the edge it seemed. She made it known in so many words that this dessert made her lose her last table to another server. We were all in awe at this moment and it was at this time thaty having a bad day 20% was no longer in the cards. Overall we had a disappointing experience. I would try them another time as I think we just had an off day and our server we think was already was having a bad day. I have no pictures to share this go around, it was this bad.

David M.

Yelp
Had the new south Brussels sprouts, cutting board and wife had the pecan crusted chicken. Every thing was so good. They managed to get us in w/o a reservation. I did not realize we needed one. Awesome, and would give more stars if was available

Hope D.

Yelp
It's a small beautifully decorated place. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. The only downside to the whole meal was that the chairs were incredibly uncomfortable for everyone. The Half Baked Oysters was the show stopper! The cheese and all of the flavor!

Mama T.

Yelp
Outstanding restaurant!! Would love to see them franchise in other urban areas! Food was delicious, service outstanding, ambience magical!

Keragan Y.

Yelp
Wonderful service and drinks. Wish I could have taken a picture of the Oreo bread pudding. It was great too!

Mandy O.

Yelp
We've eaten here several times while visiting Mobile and love sitting at the bar. The brussel sprouts are the best I've ever had, and the petite filet mignon is a perfect meal! We've always had excellent service. The bartender made an excellent Old Fashioned.

G F.

Yelp
Extremely slow slow service! Food NOTHING exceptional. They try hard but they just don't have the follow through. Tried the pecan chicken and it was tasteless, the green beans too. The Brussel sprouts were over done. Steak not cooked to the proper temperature. We ordered medium it was raw. Ordered the cheddar grits as even those tasted funny. Waited for over 40 minutes for our food! Definitely NOT worth the time! I went to cancel the order and she said they were plating the food and we waited another 10-15 minutes. We barely ate any of it and asked for the check and left. Really bad experience.

Alec M.

Yelp
This place is underpriced for how good it is. I've been on a business trip in Alabama and the only thing I can say negative is that they're in Alabama. They should be charging twice for what they serve. I've had several dishes and each was better than the last. I'd argue they have the best Brussel sprouts in the US and contenders for best ribs. You may disagree but at the very least, there is nothing on their menu that will disappoint you. The service is great and the waitresses and waiters have been both quick witted and accommodating. I don't leave a lot of reviews because most places aren't usually remarkable. This place was remarkable on multiple occasions. You can't go wrong with the Dumbwaiter.

C Q.

Yelp
The food was ok. I'd say on the cusp of being decent, but a bit oily. Broccolini was very fresh, cooked nicely, but quite oily. Ribeye was cooked a nice medium, but oily. The Caesar was not oily (!), but overdressed. I suggest requesting dressing on the side. The service was on par with an upper quality restaurant. Attentive, knowledgeable of menu items, friendly & good natured. Oddly, the only real bummer of an issue was the lack of comfortable seating. The chairs this location selected are a short & slippery! Their appearance is similar to plastic outdoor chairs, except they are metal, not comfortable, & slippery. Unusual thing to comment on, but it was disturbing. At minimum, I'd suggest this restaurant place adhesive rubber pads on the chairs. I forgot pictures!

LaToya L.

Yelp
We visited Dumbwaiter to celebrate Beau's birthday. It was extremely packed but the service was very efficient. We made reservations online so we were seated as soon as we arrived. It was very loud in the restaurant because there was a huge party seated directly behind our table. Our server was polite and she was knowledgeable of the different dishes. Beau ordered the Cutting Board which was a 16 oz Delmonico Ribeye with broccoli and roasted potatoes. He said it was decent. I ordered the stuffed chicken breast that can with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We both agreed that my dish was very delightful. My hats off to the chef for that dish! It was perfect! For dessert we wanted to order the Oreo bread pudding but they were all out of the dish at only 7 pm. *insert shocked face* Whatttt! As one of their very popular desserts I think they should have had more than enough prepared for a busy Saturday night. We ultimately ordered the Brownie a la mode to share. It came with ice cream on top. That dessert gave me warm fuzzies inside! I suggest if you order, get your own!!! It's way to good to share.

Art M.

Yelp
Excellent food and great atmosphere. I sat at the bar and Corey was very attentive. I had the Tensaw Tournedos. A savory combination of filet medallions and shrimp. The steak was seasoned heavily just like I prefer. Everything was cooked perfectly. I'll definitely return next time. I'm in town again.

Ellen E.

Yelp
The amazingly delicious food and fun friendly service from Haley overshadowed our initial displeasure that they do not allow access to their wifi and they upcharge $5 to split an entree--even if you've ordered cocktails, appetizer, and dessert. We were favorably impressed by Dauphin Street in general: but this clean, well-lighted place with its exposed brick walls was the most attractive spot on Dauphin.

James B.

Yelp
Great evening at the bar! No Resi walk in, 2 seats at the bar, don't let open table allow you to miss this gem. From a Paloma to Oysters,Caprese Salad,Scallops, Vegetable Pasta,Pinot Noir, French press Coffee and Cheesecake. All were exceptional, a very welcoming bartender in a wonderful space. What more can you ask for! Ty JB

Jane S.

Yelp
Loved the ambience, the food, the service. This place is most definitely worth the hour drive from Pensacola and it certainly something to write home about!

Dilshod T.

Yelp
The service was good but food was not good. We ordered vegetable pasta and shrimp & grits. Pasta noodles were stuck to each other (cooked that way)and vegetables were under cooked. Grits were dry and sauce was too salty. Overall the food very disappointing. Additionally and oddly the restaurant adds a fee for using credit card. They claim discount if you were pay in cash but the prices in the menu are in cash price. Honestly I didn't notice anywhere this mentioned prior receiving the bill. Btw our bill was over $100. Forgot to mention their grilled shrimp was good but anything else was not.

Kenneth C.

Yelp
Great food had oysters as an appetizer and then my date and myself had the filet which was excellent. The goat cheese mashed potatoes and asparagus great. I may add drinks were spot on too

Darleen B.

Yelp
Great ambience ,service and food. Came here with a group for dinner and we ordered the fried green tomatoes, brussels sprouts and deep fried pimento. All excellent. I love the vinegary bite of brussels sprouts. For dinner we all tried something different. Everyone loved their meal. I had the filet mignon which was cooked perfect. Some of my colleagues had the fish dish and all said was very good. The dessert was out of this world. We had the Keylime pie, brownie ala mode, cheesecake and the bread pudding. Oh my the bread pudding was delicious. Excellent all around.
