Power Ranking Every Two-Word SF Restaurant That Starts With "Dumpling"

"Forget Hellman Hollow—we’re going to Dumpling Park for our recreational activities (read: inhaling boiled dumplings by the plateful). This unpretentious Sunset spot serves classic standbys like pork and napa cabbage or chicken and corn, with wrappers boiled to a precise, perfect chew. It’s very barebones inside—just tables, chairs, and the kitchen in the back—so save this spot for weeknight meals or massive takeout hauls." - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez

Dumpling Park Review - Sunset - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"If your recreational activity of choice is inhaling a plate of steaming boiled dumplings, this unpretentious Sunset spot is your new dinner hang. Dumpling Park serves, you guessed it, housemade dumplings filled with classics like pork and napa cabbage or chicken and corn. We also love their house knife-cut noodles, which are nicely bouncy and a little squiggly on the edges. It’s very casual inside—just tables, chairs, and the kitchen in the back—so save this spot for lowkey weeknight meals or massive takeout hauls." - Julia Chen

Where to Stock Up on Frozen Dumplings in the Bay Area | Eater SF

"One of the Sunset’s newer Chinese restaurants, Dumpling Park (located in the former Howard’s Cafe) offers nine different kinds of house-made frozen dumplings, plus frozen wontons. It’s also one of the few spots that has made its frozen options available for delivery — via DoorDash." - Luke Tsai

Stopped by for lunch. The beef chow mein was decent, good noodles but a bit greasy and lacking in flavor. Napa cabbage dumplings tasted fresh but didn’t wow me.

Claudia Sanchez

Google
I ordered three things, chicken Pad Thai, the noodles were tasty but the chicken tasted like cardboard, it was so hard you could tell the chicken was old. Also you could tell it was reheated. The pop stickers were good. The Thai tea was expired, it tasted so gross and I told the waitress and she didn’t believe me. If I come back I’ll order only dumplings.

Felix Jensen

Google
These dumplings are so good. And the Taro buns are to die for. We tried several types and the nuanced flavors and rich Thai iced tea were astounding. I highly recommend giving them a try! The service was moderate but we got all our food in a timely fashion.

Nicholas Pun

Google
Had dumplings, XLB, pan fried XLB and the mapo tofu noodles. The dumplings were pretty regular, nothing special there. The mapo tofu noodles were pretty good. The oil definitely had both that numbing and spicy note. The dish was aromatic and tasty. The XLB were a bit of a miss. It was like we were playing a game to see if there was soup in the dumplings or not. The pan-fried XLB were much more consistent. Not a bad spot for a quick and cheap bite. Won't be anything amazing, but you won't be too disappointed either.

Google
We were a group of 5 adults and 4 toddlers, so we wanted a casual place that would have good Chinese food and allow for toddlers to move around. This spot did not disappoint. Food was really good, and also very quick. We got a bunch of dumplings & pot stickers, all delicious. spicy eggplant was amazing, Mongolian beef was a big hit with my 1.5 meat lover. Also got some chow mein and rice noodle Chow mein. Everything was devoured. For dessert, had to get my favorite: sesame balls. We will definitely go back next time we are in the city. Didn’t get any pictures of the food but you can see it’s super casual, we got plastic plates for the kids, no high chairs but it was fine since they are all over 1. Super mellow spot.

Google
Dumplings not really great but ok. Braised beef soup noodle was good with right portion. Service was average, nothing special but ok. Overall I would recommend it if you want an easy lunch or dinner.

Donnie Wu

Google
It's a warm little restaurant with delicious chowmein noodle and delicious spicy eggplant. What's more, their service attitude is really good. They also have delicious Chili sauce. To my surprise, their Chili sauce is for sale. I decisively bought a bucket that was really delicious. It was really a good physical examination, very good service attitude and delicious food. I will definitely come again next time.

Shruti Rao

Google
A cute little shop serving dumplings. They also have main course options of noodles and rice. Loved their sesame balls and their vegetarian pot stickers. They have a few vegetarian options so if you have different dietary preferences you can give this a try! They also give you a pot of nice hot tea complimentary at the beginning of your meal!

Yelp
Inner Sunset, no frills, Chinese diner. A wide array of hot n tasty dumplings and noodles. Warm and cozy on a chilly June night. Full house but fast service. Reasonable price!

Yelp
My friend took us here after a long park day and I was very satisfied. The staff was really kind to us as we waited for our ToGo order. I recommend grabbing a few of the spicy and vinegar sauces as they compliment the dumplings very well. I think the sauces are the highlight of the restaurant. The wings are sooooo tender and seasoned it was a great addition to the meal.

Yelp
Dumpling Park is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in the Inner Sunset -- great service, family owned and, the food is simply delicious. Yesterday was my second time at Dumpling Park since I was in the area running some errands; I was starving and decided to grab a quick bite. I opted for the chicken chow mein since it's a comfort food of sorts for me and, I certainly did not leave disappointed! Don't be fooled by the quaintness of the place -- the food is very good for the price you pay! The portions are huge too. You will 100% leave full and satisfied. Pro tip: they only take Mastercard and Visa. Your meal is also 10% off if you pay cash!

Yelp
Honestly kind of felt like everything I got here was pretty bland. Wonton soup tasted like water. Green beans were the best dish, but also only just ok.
google avatar

Yelp
What an amazing selection. Not just dumplings, they have noodles, chow mein, stir-fry, dim sum, soup, etc. obviously a neighborhood favorite by the crowd. Dumpling Park came highly recommended by locals we met at lunch. Very casual dining environment with excellent service. We had the Steamed BBQ Pork Buns, Pork Dumplings with green chives and Pork Pot Stickers. Wow it's incredible. Looking for dumplings, look no longer. Dumpling Park does the trick.

Yelp
I was headed to Golden Gate Park and decided to stop here for a quick lunch. I arrived just before noon and the place was pretty empty. Everything was made fresh to order so it took a while but at least everything was hot when it arrived. Food - - Shanghai Pan-Fried Soup Dumpling (sheng jian bao) - pretty good. It has a lot of soup but these were in the smaller side. Bottoms were crispy so that's a plus. - Shanghai Soup Dumpling (xiao long bao / xlb)- decent. These were passable but not extraordinary. - Spicy Wontons - mediocre. Sauce was pretty good but didn't cling to wontons. Wontons had little filling. Overall, decent dumpling place at a fair price. Pay in cash for a discount. If I came back, I would get their dumplings since the lady was wrapping them at a nearby table while I ate. 3.5/5 stars - rounding up to 4 for fair price and no issues.

Yelp
I really like this dumpling place! It's kind of a hole in the wall place but that's how you know the food is good. The dumplings are so good; the wrapper is perfectly chewy and the right thickness. I also really like the knife cut noodles. The flavor is really good and the noodles cooked well. There's a 10% discount if you pay with cash!

Yelp
Excellent!! Excellent food!! Highly recommend this place. Will definitely coming back. Loved it!

Yelp
Inner Sunset, greasy spoon. No frills but quick and polite service. Full house with a short wait. Complimentary green tea - watery but hot. A wide array tasty dumplings and noodles. Warm and cozy on a chilly June night. Reasonable price!

Yelp
Come for: decent dumplings Know that: they are not that fast. Parking can be difficult. Your classic hole in the wall dumpling spot! Nice to have in the inner sunset. Service and ambiance are not the draws here, come if you're craving dumplings that are good but not great. Pan-fried shanghai soup dumplings: crunchy and juicy. The best thing I had here. I'd order this again. Xiao long bao/soup dumplings: these were pretty good but took about 20 mins to make and come out. Nice that the skin didn't break when we grabbed them and there was definitely juice. Taste wise, they were good. Would order again. Spicy wontons: would not order again. Lacking in meat. Flavor was okay but we had to re-season the sauce with the vinegar and soy sauce on the table. I will probably drop by again if I'm craving dumplings in the area but would not make a special trip out to eat here.

Amy R.

Yelp
Amazing noodles (vegetarian mapo tofu noodle, spicy!) plus legit homemade dumplings. Affordable, friendly, right by the park. Plus no wait at all on a Sunday after a sweet walk around the dahlia garden and new shoes (from across the street where they are not messing around!)

Yelp
Quick Summary: - Within walking distance from one of the MUNI N line bus stops - Parking appears difficult around the block, possible alternative to park in the Golden Gate park? - Indoor seating - Casual eating experience Felt like years since we went to the Inner Sunset region, so we searched around for possible places to eat there, when our eyes stopped on this one. We love dumplings, and on top of that, there is also the family favorite dishes: the mustard green with pork noodle soup This was definitely a must-go, so off we went to the city. This area is two blocks from the Golden Gate Park, so it's bustling with pedestrians, vehicles, and other public transportation including the MUNI. Sidewalk parking looks very difficult on how often and busy this lane is, so if you are planning to arrive in a car, I would suggest looking for parking in the Golden Gate park and walk to the street. Otherwise, I would recommend take the MUNI, N-line and stop at Irving and 9th street: the public transit will stop a building or two away from the restaurant. The restaurant has a casual eating experience, a place to go when you are feeling hungry. There is a sign at the back, where it mentions that there is a 10% discount if the order is paid in cash; a nice discount I would say. A family with a toddler was there to enjoy a meal experience. When asked for how many people, the staff replied that we can sit anywhere, so we chose a table. Once we sat down, we grabbed a takeout menu folded menu, that was placed on the table. We already decided on the mustard noodle soup, but it took us a while to choose what dumpling to eat, there were so many to choose from. Eventually, we chose Shanghai Soup Dumpling, Shanghai Pan fried soup dumpling, and the Crispy Special Shrimp dumplings. The mustard green and pork noodle soup arrived first, so we filled out bowls with the noodle and soup and ate this one first. This one was very nice! The soup is clear and refreshing. We were delighted with the mustard green, It was cooked lightly, so the vegetable had sweet notes to it. The color was vibrantly green. For our first time here, we ordered it with default noodles, but next time I might try the knife-cut version. Next was the Shanghai soup dumplings and the crispy special shrimp dumpling came soon after. The Shanghai soup dumplings were piping hot with the clear and rich broth inside. After drinking the soup, we poured a couple drops of the sour vinegar sauce into the dumpling and ate it. The size is a nice bite-size, but I would eat it in that way after drinking the soup out. The crispy shrimp dumpling was a unique one. The skin was cooked to a fine crisp texture, so every bite made a satisfying crispy crunch. The inside was packed with pureed shrimp. This dish was sprinkled with hot chili sauce and cilantro, so it didn't need other sauces. This one felt like it was meatier than the other two dumplings, since the rest had a balanced ratio of soup and meat filling. Finally, the Shanghai pan fried soup dumplings arrived last. Compared to the other two, this one is a size larger. If I squint, it kind of reminds me of a Momo size. The skin is also thicker than the Shanghai soup dumpling, so a chopstick poke didn't hurt it. This one is large, so we ate this by placing it in the small bowl instead of the spoon. Eating this one does fill the stomach a notch, so be weary if you are planning to eat this alongside other dishes. Overall, I'm very happy to continue discovering dumpling restaurants with the family's favorite dish. Surely we will come back here again to try this because we love this neighborhood.

Yelp
Really good, fast casual dim sum spot! The food comes out piping hot and FRESH, and there are tons of people who order ahead and pick up / stop by to eat alone real quick and then leave. This is what we ordered: [Garlic string beans]: More on the firm side so it had a stronger bite to them, less garlicky and more focused on the sauce but still good! I may or may not get this again in the future due to it being very slightly raw. [Walnut shrimp]: MUST GET. Freshly (but not overly) battered and then deep fried to perfection, the shrimp inside was FRESH. It had the perfect snap to it every time I took a bite, which told me it wasn't overcooked. They drizzle the sauce instead of drench which I appreciated, and the sauce did not have an artificial taste. Walnuts tasted like they were candied in-house too. [Pork dumpling with green chives]: Very good, the dumpling wrapper had a good texture and the chives gave the meat a tasty flavor. Will get again [Spicy wontons]: One of my least favorites, the filling inside was extremely minimal. However the wonton wrapping was tender and soft which I liked but the chili sauce was standard. I just wish there was more filling in the wontons to actually taste the meat inside. [Chicken chow mein]: The chow mein here is BOMB. Noodles have a good bite to them that makes them chewy and addictive, and since we opted for chicken as the protein, we found that they almost deep fry the chicken pieces which was different than what I'm used to because it was juicy instead of dry. When I think of chow mein in those classic take out boxes in the movies, I think of this chow mein (but opt for bbq pork in the movies). Classic [Shu mai]: I've had better, the meat wasn't as flavorful but if you're craving it will do the trick. Will not get again [Cantonese style shrimp dumpling]: I've also had better, the filling is on the bland side [Pork potsticker]: Loved the pan fried crispiness on the bottom, the wrapper is thicker than the other dumplings and had more of a chew. The filling was my least favorite since it had nothing else other than meat but I would get this again because of the crispy bottom and the chewy texture. [Shanghai soup dumpling]: It came out last but it was well worth it. The soup inside wasn't too fatty and the filling was flavorful. Will get again. Enjoyed the food since it was cooked fresh, everything was hot and the service was good. Will be returning.

Yelp
There are something you need to know if you order the noddles. They seem having 3 noddles to choose: 1. The man made knife cut noddles which is $1 more. 2. The machine made knife cut noddles. 3. The rice noodles I got confused between 1 and 2 so I ended up eating the wrong noddles.

Yelp
Quick take: cash customers get 10% off Pretty good dumplings. There's one person taking orders, bringing out the food, and taking payments. It's a small shop but this one person is busy even after the lunch rush. Lots of people coming in and out picking up takeout orders. We also saw lots of bags of frozen dumplings for sale. Dining in the dumplings are made to order. Service was good enough with one person doing everything.

Yelp
Dumpling Park was a short walk away from the bus that dropped us off next to the park. We entered and seated ourselves. The pamphlet containing the menu clarified that everything here is housemade and, in the back, you could see they had a small kitchen. The restaurant is charmingly decorated with comfortable seating and well spaced tables and hand written signs around the area detailing new foods and special deals. I'm inclined to believe that even the sauces are housemade as there was a location in the corner to pickup little servings of the sauces to go. They also only had one or two servers, so there was a bit of a wait to order, but my bf and I didn't have anywhere better to be and were content to look through the menu. The server did make sure to give us tea once we'd sat down. The food was delicious and well worth the wait. The soup dumplings were easiest to eat when I bit off the top and blew into them to cool them down before dropping them into my mouth. The scallion pancakes were called Onion Pancake on the menu, and were chewy and crispy in all the right ways. Not pictured is the shumai dumplings (I forgot to take a picture.) These were filling and perfectly cooked :)) After eating, we asked for the bill which was brought to us and then we paid at the counter. Something to note: everything is 10% off if you pay with cash.

Yelp
Grubhub pick up special so decided to try it out. Got the lamb dumplings and tomato beef chow mein. Lamb dumplings were decent but not anything special. Tomato beef chow mein was pretty bad. Tasted of soy sauce but otherwise flavorless wo the usual tomato flavored sauce that typically comes with tomato beef at other restaurants. Beef was tough and hard to chew. We threw away a good portion.

Yelp
This very quickly became my boyfriend and I's spot for dumplings in SF-- LOVE the pork & chive dumplings. Prices are great, too.
google avatar

Sandy L.

Yelp
My friend wanted me to try this place with her. Today we ordered the beef wrap, lamb chow mein and chives, shrimp/pork dumplings. The beef wrap is tasty, but very little beef and veggies in it. The lamb chow mein has good flavor and wok hay but the lamb is overcooked (very dry). The chives, shrimp/pork dumplings are average. The food portion is not big. Service is okay. This place is not clean. You can see the dirt/stain on the wall and the floor. :)

Yelp
We were on our way to have a reunion with San Tung but were intrigued by the Dumpling Park menu, which listed a spicy beef and pork tripes appetizer, a marinated beef pancake, and lamb and napa cabbage dumplings. So that's what we ordered. The pancake came first. This was not the crêpe-like thing I was expecting, but rather more like a rolled green onion pancake without the green onions. It had cucumbers and a sweet sauce, and the beef was in chunky slices, all of which delighted. The spicy beef and pork tripes arrived, more sweet than spicy, with what looked a bit like same beef in it along with the typical thin-sliced tripes cake often called "couple's delight", peanuts, and cilantro. Finally the dumplings came. These were more home-style with thick wrappers but excellent flavor, definitely on the soupy side. They have frozen dumplings to go, and a 10% discount for cash. We'll be back!

Yelp
Service : food came out super fast, steamy hot. Service was great. Food : I don't know why this restaurant rates only 3.7 stars , for me it's a definite 5. I love their food. Soup dumplings are super juicy , garlic string beans come out steamy hot , perfect texture with bit of crunch and garlicky , crispy shrimp dumplings are indeed crispy but the fillings inside are juicy and soft. Ambiance: casual just the way I like it. Convenient location off N Judah line. Parking can be tough. Just take the train and you'll be fine.

Yelp
A no-frills spot for authentic dumplings and noodles! Coming here, I was immediately transported back to my grandma's kitchen and her homemade dumplings. Everything here is handmade. We came for dinner and ordered a wonton noodle soup, braised beef noodle soup, sheng jian bao (Shanghai fried pork dumplings), and pork and shrimp chive dumplings. Everything came out quickly. We came around 8pm, and there were still a few tables eating. I love that they had vinegar at every table because that's my favorite sauce to pair with dumplings. The portions were generous, and the price was very reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area. They also sell frozen dumplings in bulk, and I want to try those out in the future!

Yelp
Really nice, available no-frills spot with a wide variety of hand-made dumpling, noodle soup, and dim sum options. We found the space to be comfortable and spacious with prompt service (came on Saturday night when 2-3 other parties were dining). A set of vinegar, soy sauce, and copies of the menu were provided at every table. We shared the braised beef noodle soup, pork/shrimp/wonton noodle soup, pork/chive dumplings, and pan-fried Shanghai pork soup dumplings. The noodle soups contained generous but not overwhelming portions of meat/vegetables/noodles and the broth was somewhat salty but delicious - a really nice complement to the cold weather in Inner Sunset. Really appreciate the nice balance of dough/meat in the dumplings as well. Definitely eager to come back to try some of the other options!
google avatar

Millie K.

Yelp
Just happen to be around 9th and Irving while thinking what to have for dinner. We walked by Dumpling Park and decided to give it a try. A very causal and efficient restaurant with only a couple staff but their speed and accuracy was great. The food was spot on as what we expected for dumplings and noodles. I think we will be back to try other dishes on the menu.
google avatar

Mehran A.

Yelp
Great food, don't get turned off by the outside decor, come on for authentic Chinese cuisine, great service and great tasting food, dumpling, Gyoza and fried rice.

Kiera F.

Yelp
Guys do not get the pork wonton noodle soup! The broth is absolutely tasteless and bathwater-like and the wontons kinda undercooked not to mention the noodles aren't egg boodles so it's even more bland. Chicken fried rice unexpectedly stole the show with seasoning and crispy chicken non-sticky mushy rice. but now 2 hours post eating the fried rice i kinda wanna vomit. Idk. Come at your own risk. Our server was kinda weird too after i ordered a second dish she brought it and just left our two empty dishes on our table and we had to ask for her to remove it.
google avatar

Yih R.

Yelp
I came to this area for some business and I have always seen this place being popular and having people waiting in line. I came here for lunch, no line and no hustle. We ordered the beef pancakes, pan fried dumplings, and the sesame noddles. They are averagely ok, I have had better in SF. Each dish is fine, but nothing really amazed me. I would probably come back to try their dumplings and see it for what it really is. Also, because I speak Chinese, I overheard that were arguing in the kitchen that they don't know how to make the sesame noddles. The noddles turned out great, it was just funny. Lol

Radionov R.

Yelp
Very disappointed!!! I ordered scallion pancake with egg and vegetable fried rice. There was a hair in my scallion pancake! See the red circle of my photo! Also, they used leftover rice to cook my vegetable fried rice!!! I want to tell the owner & cook: don't fool your customers!!! We can tell if you used leftover rice because we are not blind!!! This was the last time I am coming here!!! Here is the true fact: if rice is left standing at room temperature, the spores can grow into bacteria. These bacteria will multiply and may produce toxins (poisons) that cause vomiting or diarrhoea. The longer cooked rice is left at room temperature, the more likely it is that the bacteria or toxins could make the rice unsafe to eat!!!
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
I was walking around the neighborhood and couldn't resist trying this place, the dumplings did not disappoint! I only got the pork/cabbage dumplings and the fungus with cucumber appetizer, so I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but I really liked the dumplings. They were juicy and full of flavor. They were clearly homemade and came out fresh & still steaming. The dough was soft and chewy, really couldn't ask for more out of a dumpling. The fungus and cucumber also hit the spot, a refreshing addition to the dumplings. Definitely want to come back and try all their other food, I saw people with noodle and stir fry veggie dishes that looked amazing.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday after stopping by the farmer's market right across the street. Walking in the shop is pretty small, but you can tell that it's family owned (which means that it's probably going to be really good--and it was). Their menu had sooo many delicious options for dim sum, noodles, rice, and soups. My friend and I ended up choosing a couple dumplings, a noodle dish, and a rice dish and all three of them were delicious. They tasted homemade and was really comforting. Service was really quick and polite and I had a great time. I would definitely love to come here again for another brunch if I were in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
I'd probably give it a 3.5 total so I decided to round down. It's pretty good, fair prices with large portions! It's nothing wow though as I've had much better dumplings in Chinatown however for the sunset area it's the only one around. Friendly service as well (I've only gotten it to go though). I'd recommend if you're craving dumplings in the sunset. I don't eat pork and many dumpling spots only have pork options so 5/5 for the fact that they have a lot of variety!!!
google avatar

Matt Y.

Yelp
We ate at Dumpling Park for lunch recently. Our experience was ambivalent. On the plus side, serving sizes were large, for most dishes larger than the modal dim sum establishment. I also enjoyed the aesthetic of the dishes - the five-spice marinated beef was especially well plated, as were the steamed pork buns. Downsides broadly revolved around quality. There was a general lack of flavor in the dumplings (pork & mushroom, Shanghai soup, and steamed pork bun) and in the scallion pancake we ordered. The five-spice beef was an exception to this (i.e., it was very flavorful), but it was very fatty (visibly so, such that the majority of some slices were just chunks of fat). Anyway, in a city full of dim sum, this establishment is far from my favorite.

Yelp
Got take out here tonight. Got 6 kinds of dumplings, all excellent. Threw in an order of broccoli and shrimp fried rice. Honestly the best broccoli ever and rice was awesome with big yummy shrimp. So good!!

Yelp
Typical Chinese restaurant food was ok portion kinda small nothing special I think there are better choices

Yelp
We were walking around Irving street on the weekend and were looking for a place to eat and we bumped into this place. Their dumplings and combination fried rice was good. It is a simple place with quick service and a pretty good price. We did see a lot of people doing the take-out. They also seem to sell a lot of frozen dumplings. The dumpling does feel like home made. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Yelp
The Experience was amazing. We ate Omakase style. It was very special. Friday and Saturday night is reservation only. We were very catered to and enjoyed the interaction with the owners. Overall the food was good. Too much for me to eat. Very special experience for special occasions for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
The wonton soup is just amazzzzing. I would come back again for a soup. Too bad that the crispy shrimp dumplings were not for me. While the flavor is alright, the texture was more stiff and hard to chew than crispy though. Service is alright. If I only ordered the wonton soup this would be a 5 stars instead of 4.
google avatar

Greg K.

Yelp
Don't know what is up with their black bean noodle but had a fishy taste to it and then I started having stomach ache an hour later. Had vomiting and diarrhea. It was disgusting.
google avatar

Wendy H.

Yelp
Ordered take out from Dumpling Park. We got the port and chive dumplings, the pan fried buns and green onion pancakes. Food came hot. The dumplings were juicy and delicious. For some reason, the green onion pancakes DID NOT have any green onions. That's super disappointing. Will not order that again.
google avatar

Buffy S.

Yelp
Always on point! I eat here at least once a week when I'm in the city. Couldn't be happier with the food & service.
google avatar

Lisa X.

Yelp
Yup, park it right there... Not our cuppa tea err dumplings. This was based on delivery. The meal was not very impressive. The green beans were over cooked so instead of crunchy snappy; they were soft and soggy. The pan fried "soup" dumplings were not soupy.
google avatar

Elaine N.

Yelp
I thought Dumpling Park was a solid spot for dinner in inner sunset. We stopped by after Pickleball in GGP on a Friday night and grabbed a table for 6. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share: Xiao Long Bao, Pan Fried Dumplings, Spicy Wontons, Pork Shrimp & Leek Dumplings, Beef Chow Fun, Garlic Pea Shoots, and Stir-fry Eggplant over Noodles. All the dishes were great, we ate everything. Restaurant was clean, service was quick and easy, and food was good. Another cool thing is they allow you to BYOB, I rarely see that option in the city so it's nice to find a place that allows it.

Yelp
We were considering going here or Dumping House in the mission. Dumpling Park was really good. I was happy to get a free pot of tea once I sat down, with free refills! I will say, the interior is a little dirty. The walls had some different stains on them which may or may not put you off. However, the food was delicious. We got the garlic pea shoots, mapo tofu, and a bunch of dumplings. The garlic pea shoots were so well cooked and deliciously seasoned. The dumplings were pretty delicious too! The mapo tofu was good, however I noticed that it didn't have as much of the szechuan pepper numbing flavor that I am used to with Mapo. Overall pretty good! We fed four people for $80 including a 20% tip.

Yelp
When asked "if you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?" My response has been and will foreseeably continue to be, "Dumplings." Unsurprisingly, I am also particular about dumplings. Boiling dumplings may seem easy, but there are a lot of things that are easy to get wrong (skin is too flimsy, filling is under/overcooked, etc.) Dumpling Park didn't miss a single mark. Lots to like about the food here: dumplings have good skin thickness / texture, filling inside is full of flavor, things are reasonably priced, and the non-dumpling dishes (e.g., 鱼香肉丝) are also quite tasty. Special shoutout to two dumpling dishes in particular: the lamb/scallion(?) one that was bursting with flavor - our party of 4 really liked it, and the pan fried pork buns (生煎包), which I've been looking all over to find in SF. The good news is, I've found deliciousness here.

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday night and they seemed short-staffed. The hostess was really nice and they had attentive service despite the lack of man-power. The inside is small with only a few tables, and the only menus they had were the take-out menus. Located along Irving, it's a battle for parking at times. We ordered the chicken, pork, and lamb dumplings, followed by the pan fried pork dumplings, beef noodle soup, and the sauteed string beans. Unfortunately, I had only remembered to take a picture of the meal after we had eaten most of it, whoops. The highlight of the meal were the pan fried pork dumplings, which had crispy bottoms and a good amount of soup and meat inside. The regular dumplings and the noodles were average at best, and while the string beans were good, I would also say it's average since I've never had bad string beans before.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and got pork and napa cabbage dumplings, shanghai soup dumplings, and a chicken knife cut noodle. Our group of 3 split the food and were comfortably full finishing all 3 orders of food. We were the only people there when we sat down so all the food came out relatively fast. The pork and napa cabbage dumplings were my favorite out of the 3 items - the dumpling skin was relatively thin with a good chew and the filling was generous and flavorful. Their hot sauce is a more vinegar/chili pepper based sauce, which I enjoyed with all the items we ordered, though they also have chili oil if you prefer. The soup dumplings actually had a decent amount of soup, but the top of the dumpling was a bit too doughy and dried out for me. The filling was flavorful and tender, but could have had a bit more in there. The chicken knife cut noodles were my least favorite - we didn't order the right knife cut noodles so it wasn't the handmade knife cut noodles I was expecting. The chicken was overcooked and the noodles were overall too oily. Solid spot for lunch, the three of us were billed under $50 with 2 thai iced teas as well. If you pay with cash you get a 10% discount, which keeps it very affordable. I'll come back when I'm craving some quick Chinese food.

Yelp
This is a wonderfully small yet mighty Chinese hole-in-the-wall restaurant. BF and I came here on a Saturday morning and we ordered the Xiao Long Bao (pretty sure I misspelled this, so please don't cancel me, lol), broccoli beef, honey walnut shrimp, knife cut chow mein noodles, pork and chive dumplings, and chicken wings. Everything was brought out within minutes and was delicious. I especially loved the shrimp because they didn't toss the sauce on the shrimp, they left it on the side/ drizzled it lightly around the dish; this allowed the shrimp to stay nice and crispy! Another stand out was the soup dumplings - soo porky, brothy, and melt in your mouth delicious. 5/5 - service was nice and food was *chef's kiss*; I def recommend.

Yelp
This place has the worst customer service. When I ordered dumplings to go, I asked them if I could have some sauce to go. The lady specifically said it was included in the bag. So I trusted that the sauce (the only reason I went to this place) was in the bag. I walked home. Opened the bag - NO SAUCE. I walked back to the restaurant. Yep! And got my sauce. Super frustrating and unnecessary experience. Two stars because they have great sauce - but they are stingy with it for to go orders! It's the only thing worth going here for - But not after my Last experience. Never again.

Yelp
I did not know what to expect, but had heard good things. Dumpling Park is fantastic. It's a simple space, very casual, the food was delicious! We were a group of 5 and each of us enjoyed the food immensely. We were so impressed. Prices were very reasonable. We will most definitely be back.
