Today, our daughter wanted to eat dumplings for dinner. She saw the good food reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered a lot of dishes in total and everything we ordered was delicious. Each dish had its own unique flavor, but our favorite dish of the day was the noodles and beef. My husband told me it was so delicious that he couldn't stop eating and wanted to order more. The service was good, they kept checking on our table and we didn't have to wait long for our food. We will definitely be back.

Google
Excellent food, great service. We came in about 35 minutes before closing and the guy said "No problem! Sit down! Take your time!' It was our first visit so he recommended the pork soup dumplings, the beef roll, and the Shanghai fried noodles to be shared between the two of us. Everything was outstanding, and the beef roll really shined especially to me. The beef was tender and flavorful and went so well with all of the fresh veggies. Will definitely come here next time I'm nearby!

Google
I like dumplings. Dumpling Yo! has good dumplings and more, and it also has good customer service. My favorite dishes at Dumpling Yo! are the XLB and beef rolls. Both are excellent, and the beef rolls are better than most of the restaurants in Sacramento and even the Bay Area. The young gentleman who works at the front dining area also goes above and beyond to ensure you’re satisfied with the food and service. The parking lot is safe, but parking near the restaurant can be a little too crowded sometimes. However, this is a huge lot with hundreds of parking spaces available within a short walk.

Google
Came for dinner one day. Casual dumpling restaurant. Food was generally good. A lot of strong and savory flavors. Enjoyed the beef roll the most! The meat inside was tender and juicy, while the wrapping was crispy and flaky.

Google
We ate at Dumpling Yo! during their soft opening. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. We got the soup dumplings, fried pork buns, and Shanghai fried noodles. Of the three, the Shanghai fried noodles were the best - the texture and flavor were absolutely perfect. There's homemade chili oil on every table - make sure to try it! The flavor has a lot of depth and it's not as spicy as you might think. We're definitely looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Google
Great tasting food. We went hear not knowing that you need to reserve. Luckily it was superbowl Sunday, guessed that some customer did not realize.

Google
my boyfriend and I have tried this spot once before, it is absolutely fire. The soup dumplings are flavorful and cooked to perfection. I tried the wonton soup this time and i loved it!

Google
Dumpling Yo is a neighborhood restaurant that has integrated its unique style of Chinese cusine into the hearts and minds of many in the south Sacramento Greenhaven area. Dumpling Yo specializes in the Shanghai style of Bao dumplings. Folks, the owner makes them daily. Gyoza, pork soup and shrimp bun, and more are just some of their offerings.

Yelp
We came here after shopping at Marshalls. We saw on Yelp that this restaurant had great reviews and decided to stop by. It did not disappoint! The Shanghai Fried Noodles were chewy, and the added crunch from the veggies was perfection! They were also flavored well! The pan-fried dumplings were perfectly crisp on the bottom, and the filling was juicy and delicious. This is my favorite dish. Pork Soup Filled Dumplings were also delicious. Soup explosion for sure! House chili crisp was also a plus! Service was great! Our waiter checked on us many times and made sure we were okay. Joshua approved!

Yelp
Food and service was great! One server on the floor when I grabbed lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, however, this did not affect the quality of service at all. Server was very attentive and considerate. He anticipated our needs and proactively provided extra bowls, to-go containers, and bags, which I appreciated. My favorite item was the cucumber salad appetizer! It had a unique texture -- almost pickled, but still quite fresh. I would order this again! I enjoyed the other items as well. I will be returning when I am in the area :)

Yelp
Everything was soooooo yummy! We ordered the soup dumplings, green beans, beef roll and fried rice. I would pass on the fried rice in the future and just load up on more dumplings and veg. Service was great and we got everything in a timely manner. Thank you!

Yelp
This is our second time coming here. There food is pretty good. The soup XLBs are good, soupy with thin skin. I like their Shanghai thick noodles. They don't have this dish at many places cooked like this so I really enjoyed it. Their pan fried dumpling has meat that is slightly different from other places. It's very tender and takes up most of the bun. The taste is also different. I like it this way but others might not. The beef rolls are good, a lot of filling. Green beans were good and I liked the shredded pork in it. Food comes out quick and staff is very friendly. Too bad we don't live that close, but we'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Food is amazing! I had the dumplings and the green beans with chicken. I ordered food a second time and purchased the scallion beef rolls. I love this place and drive across town for it, there's nothing like it close to where I live.

Yelp
My best friend and I finally made it in to try Dumpling Yo! Everyone has been raving about in Sac! Dumpling Yo was formly Panda Garden, Chinese food spot for a long time and it wasn't the best. Glad to see a new eatery take over and thrive! Seating is scarce inside but they do reservations. And customer service is good, food comes out quick! To be honest and this is just me, I love dumplings but I wasn't a fan of these ones. The taste was different for me, wasn't a fan but I did LOVE their Shanghai noods n fried rice! And I will most definitely be back to try their other menu options!! Also big bonus points for carrying ice cold bottled unsweetened green tea! My favorite! Ambience is chill and lots of families come together to dine! Always nice to see!

Yelp
Ranked #3/100 top Chinese restaurant on Yelp in the US from 2024. Dumpling Yo! has made its name as one of the best, so of course I had to try it myself. My personal favorites were actually the Soup Dumplings and Braised Pork Rice Bowl. I love cozy the food feels like it came straight from mom's kitchen. Personally, wasn't a fan of the dipping sauce for the soup dumplings because it had a really strong vinegar taste/smell. The Beef Rolls was good, just too sweet for me. What we got: * Beef Noodle Soup * Beef Rolls * Soup Dumplings * Shanghai Fried Noodles * Braised Pork Rice Bowl

Yelp
I was craving for a good chinese cuisine around Sac and found this near to our house. I admit at first i thought the menu is so simple, not much to offer but I said lets try it but to my surprise it didn't disappoint!!! The service is good. No owner is so kind and respectful. The order came fast and hot. Everything we ordered from the fried rice, which by the way I finished everything. To their noodles, wonton and the beef rolls is the unique one that we ordered. It was so good and we will definitely come back here to try their other dishes.

Yelp
Went on a recent Friday and seating was immediate. It's a small space inside. There are tables outside as well. I'm not sure if they serve the outside tables. In any case we were greeted with smiles and a warm welcome which is always nice. Menu is on the limited side. It's all about the dumplings YO! Those dumpling were scrumptious. Good chew and beautiful tasty fillings. Our server was incredibly kind and engaging. English was not his first language though this proved to be no issue. We were all patient. Food came out quickly. Delicious pork soup dumplings and a beef roll. Both were so tasty. I highly recommend them. One of the best dumplings to be had in the Sacramento region.

Yelp
Took my sisters here for late lunch. It was their first time there so they wanted to try a lot of dishes. We ended up ordering 5 items. Pan Fried Pork Buns: Skin and pork ratio was perfect. Pan fried nicely. The pork was juicy but a bit salty. Beef Roll: The skin was super flaky. It was so good but too greasy. The beef was flavorful but really salty. Still really yummy. Hopefully will be less salty next time. Pork Soup Filled Dumplings: Pretty average. Shanghai Fried Noodles: I love noodles. Good flavors but greasy. Lu Rou Fan: Pork was tender. Flavors were on point. Everything complimented each other. Food came out pretty fast. Service was alright.

Yelp
I came here for a weekend lunch and ordered to-go via phone. I ordered several dishes which included the XLB, wonton in chili oil, pan fried XLB, shanghai fried noodles, lo ro fan. This is located in the shopping complex with Nugget, lake crest. There's plentiful of parking but sometimes spots closer are occupied by Marshalls or Nugget patrons. I thought the portions were on the smaller end. The XLB wasn't bad, I enjoyed it. The wonton in chili oil was good and had a good spicy kick to it. The pan fried XLB was okay. I enjoyed and liked the Shanghai fried noodles. I also enjoyed the lu ro fan. The lu ro fan did have chopped cubes of pork belly, the sauce is infused with the rice. The rice is a little saltier than I would like. It didn't have daikon with it either and it was just half boiled egg, so it felt a little stingy on that part. There was also vinegar and chili sauce on the side.

Yelp
Came her with a fellow yelper! This is one of her spots. I have never been here. It's a small little restaurant, so I definitely recommend making a reservation! The server was very thoughtful, nice and tentative. He was ready to take the order. The food came out fairly quickly. We order quite a few dishes, the bok choy, the ramen beef soup, dumplings and a beef dish. Which was my favorite. The other foods were pretty averaged. Will def come here again for the beef dish

Yelp
We were in the "pocket area "Of Sacramento and decided to hit up dumpling, yo! Yelp reviews indicated that the food here was pretty tasty, and we decided to give it a try. They have a relatively small menu, but from what I could tell from the other diners, the food packs a big punch! We ordered the pan fried soup dumplings, and the ice flower gyoza. The pan fried dumplings were packed with a generous meatball. The crispy bottom with the soft sides of the dumpling made for a tasty bite. The side sauce had a nice vinegar flavor that paired the two nicely together. The Ice Flower gyoza- the gyoza ( underneath the ice flower) were also tasty! Generously filled with a meat mixture that was perfectly made. The gyoza was light and not rubbery. The actual ice flower was just okay. I've had better. I expected the crispy to be tastier. Paired with the tangy sauce, it made a great appetizer. We wanted to order the egg custard ( 30 min wait) only to be told that they were out. Boo. They offer rice and noodle dishes as well. There's plenty of free parking, which is always a bonus. Expedient and great service.

Yelp
Highly recommend this place to satisfy your dumpling cravings! We were seated immediately after walking in and got our orders taken soon after. We got the pork xlb, wonton in chili oil, and beef roll. Everything was very solid but the beef roll was my favorite! It had a lot of beef filling with cucumbers and the outer pancake layer was so crispy. The ambiance is clean and lots of families came in peak dinner time. The service was attentive as well so i have no complaints!

Yelp
The reviews are spot on! What a great little place. Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the restaurant was clean and I loved how an image of each dish was displayed on a screen so you had an idea of what you are ordering. Our waiter was very friendly and responsive. Highly recommend! I ordered the string beans and the scallion oil noodles (made vegan) and my mom ordered the pork buns. Everything came out hot and the noodles were, in my opinion, perfect al dente. The sauce was flavorful and the chili oil on the table added a pleasant kick. The string beans--holy cow! Don't miss out on this appetizer! Cooked in chilis and perfectly crisp (not at all soggy) they were fantastic! And my mom enjoyed her dish as well saying the dumplings were a perfect consistency.

Yelp
I just finished my son's track meet and wanted something fun for lunch. I went to this plaza to get Hawaiian BBQ, but caught a whiff of the food as someone left Dumpling Yo! I headed there instead. I ordered the seafood fried noodles, and they were amazing, perfectly seasoned, and perfectly done, and I didn't want to share them. I will be back for more. Thank you, Yo!

Yelp
Popped in for a late Sunday lunch on the way home from the airport. After 8 hours of travel through 3 different airports, this place was EXACTLY what I needed! Like a "welcome home" hug for my belly! We got the Shanghai noodles, wonton in chili oil, pan-fried pork bun, and pork potstickers. Everything was fresh, fast, and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The owner was our server, and he was very patient with all our questions. I can't wait to come back again, because there were so many more things I want to try (braised beef noodles, cold noodles, beef rolls). This will be my go-to spot when I'm in the area.

Yelp
We came at opening at 11am but they weren't open. So we walked around a bit since we thought they were still setting up for opening. At 11:37 am they still weren't open. Saw someone going in and out with stuff, likely an employee. So we asked them if they were open today and they said no. Everywhere else said they'd be open at 11am, their door hours, Yelp. Very disappointed. June 14, 2025. Seems like they just changed their hours on Yelp today a few hours after I was there this morning.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't tried this place before! I see why they're in the top 100 Chinese foods for Sacramento. The hype was worth it. As you're waiting outside, you can read the reviews from other websites and Yelpers who've been here. First off, the service? Amazing. Our server was super nice and polite and solo-ed the entire restaurant by himself it was insane and impressive to watch. He took care of us, everyone else, and the take-outs all by himself. Despite that, he was still super nice and attentive to the guests in the restaurant. Shanghai Fried Noodles - HIGHLY RECOMMEND! They were a perfect combination of sweet and savory, super thick and chewy, and were the perfect noodles for me. My favorite during the meal Shrimp and Pork Soup Dumplings - As sweet as you'd expect. You get 8 with a perfect amount of soup in them. I found these quite easy to eat as they come out hot, but cool down at a good rate so you'd be able to enjoy them hot without burning yourself. Pork Pan Fried Bun - Huge dumpling with a generous amount of meat. You get the crispy bottom and super juicy inside. Wonton in Chili Oil - Very flavorful, but would be my #4 out of all our orders. But only because the rest surpassed my expectations so much. Would I come back here? Yes. Am I craving that Shanghai noodle? Also yes. Highly recommend going if you're a party of 2-4 people. As I'm posting this review, I realized I got so excited to eat I forgot to take pictures of the other dishes. Oops!

Yelp
Stopped by on the drive back to San Francisco from Lake Tahoe! It's a pretty simple sit-down restaurant in the Greenhaven plaza. I loved the beef rolls, which were crunchy, sweet, and good portion of beef. Another must-get are the scallion noodles! Noodles have a good chew and the oil has a balance of umami from garlic, dried shrimp, and scallion. The pan-fried pork buns came out not as crispy as I would have liked. The filling for the pork buns, wontons, and soup dumplings were seasoned perfectly. Food came out quickly, but the restaurant seemed to be understaffed as it took a while for us to get our water refilled and napkins. However, our waiter was happy to split the bill for our table in two.

Yelp
Came here with family as we were craving some beef noodle soup. They were voted on Yelp as #3 in the top 100 Chinese restaurants in 2024. Growing up in the heart of the SGV in LA, there is a plethora of Chinese restaurants so let's give this a try. It's in a random shopping plaza and can be easy to miss. It's tucked in between a Subway and an L&L. Small dining area so had to put our name down on the sign-in sheet. The wait wasn't terribly long. Maybe 10-15 mins with some larger parties finishing up. We ordered a variety of items: - Pork soup-filled dumplings or xiao long bao. Nice size, a good amount of pork and soupier than most I've had. The dough held it all nicely. Comparable to others I've had. - Wonton in chili oil. Decent in size. I added more of the chili oil condiment on the table. I was looking for more spice. - Beef roll. Very hefty in size. Nice flaky crust to hold in the beef, onions, scallions and cucumbers. Didn't quite taste the sauce so I drenched each bite with the chili oil condiment. - Beef noodle soup. I only tried the broth and it had flavor. Looked enjoyable nonetheless. - Braised pork rice bowl. This was very hearty. The pork was definitely braised for a long time and was bursting with flavor. The rice soaked up all the sauce. - Scallion oil noodles. I originally wanted the cold noodles with shredded chicken, but they were out or perhaps the server said it was seasonal? He recommended the scallion oil noodles as something similar. This was okay. It's noodles cooked in scallions and oil. Again, drenched it with the chili oil for more flavor. I'm no connoisseur in ranking, but I've definitely been to better hole-in-the-wall places and regular establishments with slightly better dumplings and noodles. Food is okay here. If in or around the area, I'd try it.

Yelp
Made a pitstop here on the way back to the bay. Conveniently located in a plaza right off the freeway. Came in right before lunch time, 1130ish which was a good call cause it got busy just after we ordered our food. Apparently you can make reservations ahead of time but we came as a walk in party of 6. Ordered: Cucumber salad - refreshing, could be a bit crunchier Shanghai noodles - yummy! I love udon noodles so these were right up my alley Dumplings in chili oil - always a must! Had a bunch of pieces so a good plate to share Pan fried shrimp and pork dumplings - I really liked the crispy bottom. There's a soup inside so be careful when biting in to it and give it some time to cool down but texture wise, I really liked having the crispy bottom House spicy fried rice - didn't really get a kick from it but it had a lot going on but in a good way. Chinese sausage, corn, peas, shrimp, everything! Dry fried green beans - I always love a good green bean! Crunchy, good shareable plate, had bits of chicken. Dipped it with the chili oil for an extra kick Beef soup - beef was tender, soup was SO flavorful, had lots of noodles, and the bok choy for veggies. Would recommend! Pork soup dumplings - came with 8 pieces and they give the sauce on the side. Be careful when picking it up as the bottoms tend to break. I like to bite the top, add the sauce and some chili sauce. They have a one person stall. There's tons of parking. Service was quick and friendly. They came by the table to check in. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
So this time around I tried the following: 1) house special fried rice with house chili sauce. The chili sauce is simply their chili oil blended in the rice. Their fried rice is still excellent but also still full of barely cooked white onions. Even though I like onions I still had to pick them out. 2) shrimp and pork xlb. These are still just okay. Uneven in size and the pork reminds me of pork sausage. 3) beef rolls these are a hit. Flakey crispy wrap of beef, cucumber and hoisin sauce delicious. Dumpling Yo doesn't get me excited like JTD but they are good.

Yelp
Was craving for some good dumplings and decided to take a long drive to Sacramento area after looking up this place. What a great decision that was! This spot is located in a nice shopping center. The area looked safe and clean. The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor dining. We joined the waitlist and once we checked in we were seated right away. They have tables and chairs options. Good place for group gatherings or small parties. The staff was very friendly! They took our orders right away. The food trickled out one by one and it was all freshly prepared. Everything we had there was absolutely amazing. The house fried rice had its own unique flavor. More than just your typical fried rice you get anywhere. The noodles were like Mongolian bbq on steroids- delicious and full of flavor. The dumplings which we were craving the most did not disappoint. Cannot express how good all the food came out. Crunchy, juicy, unique flavors. Plus, the portion sizes were so large! So you get a great value for your buck! This place is such a hidden gem. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We were looking for places to eat before our comedy show at thunder valley casino. I found this place and decided to try it out. We haven't have dumplings in a while due to being on a health kick but today is our cheat day! We got here at 4:25 pm. I didn't think we would get here early coming from Concord. They reopen at 4:40 it said online. They had the closed sign so we waited.. and waited. It was now 4:35 and we were like are they closed? We looked inside through the window and saw a couple seated. We opened the doors and were told to have a seat anywhere. The guy walked over to turn the sign over. I explained to him I had made a reservation on yelp because I did not know if they get super busy. He said yelp reservations DO NOT WORK.. Just a FYI! I try not to eat pork anymore, but we ended up ordering the pork soup dumplings, beef roll, and spicy beef soup. He suggested the green beans. We ordered them because we thought the dumplings would be small like the other places we have been too. Green beans: They still had some crunch and came with bits of chicken. The chicken was a little on the salty side (for me) I don't do a lot of salt. BUT it was still really good. The sauce was really good. Pork soup dumplings: These were larger than the ones we get in the Bay Area! We ended up ordersing two orders because we thought they would be small. They were good size and had a lot of soup in them. Only thing is we broke most of them trying to pick them up. The were still delicious. Spicy beef soup: we asked them not to make it spicy because the person I was with can not eat spicy stuff. It was delicious not too salty either. At this time I'm stuffed but not the gross I ate too much bloated stuffed. Most dumpling places we have ate at after we eat the beef rolls and dumplings we feel so stuffed and bloated! Her we didn't feel that. We just knew we had a lot. The guy explained how to reheat the beef rolls! Those are MASSIVE! We ended up sharing one to try it. That beef roll was bomb! The outside is so flaky and the cucumber salad or whatever they used inside tasted fresh and so flavorful. All in all everything was delicious we will definitely come back when we come to the shows at thunder valley. We didn't realize how far out it was to thunder valley but it was okay we had time to kill. The place is smalll but the food is really good . Don't do the yelp reservation it does not work.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch by myself. Not many options for person eating alone. Ordered sautéed bok choy with garlic and got a full plate with lots of garlic, bit too much oil. Same with scallion "pie". Too much oil (I was able to blot with napkin) and scallions a bit charred. Other tables had full plates to share so might try again with more people

Yelp
The pork & shrimp dumplings are a must if it's your first time here. It's what "Dumpling Yo" is known for! Served on a bamboo steamer, these little bite-sized dumplings have a flavorful broth filling that you would slurp up before eating the dumpling! It's super delish!! I'd also recommend the beef rolls. Slices of beef wrapped in a scallion pancake with fresh daikon and cucumbers. Not sure if it's supposed to be served cold, but it would be more enjoyable if the pancakes were still hot! Located in the Greenhaven area, in the Nugget plaza right off the I5 freeway.

Yelp
We saw that Dumpling Yo was voted one of the top Chinese restaurants in the US, and happened to be in the area. So without any hestiation we gave it a try. The shop was easy to find in a strip mall and the parking was easy. We were surprised there was no line and the staff quickly seated us and took our order. Everything was quite efficient. We ordered the Pork soup dumplings, pan fried pork buns, smashed cucumber salad and Braised beef soup noodles. Overall, we liked the food. We quickly noticed their dumplings had a strong white pepper taste which my husband really likes (he likes white pepper though). I was on the fence since I like my soup dumplings to have a mellow clean broth.  A few of them broke as we tried to seperate them from each other and it's always the bummer because we missed out the broth. The beef noodle soup was pretty good as the flavor was good and the meat was soft. I personally wish the broth was a bit richer and the meat was fall apart tender, but that's what I expected from growing up eatting beef noodle soup in Taiwan tho. Overall, I would say Dumpling Yo is a solid Chinese restaurant that offers a lot of delicious food. However, being rated top 3 in the nation is a huge burden and I think it would create some unrealistic expectations for some foodies out there.  If you are in the neighborhood, why not give it a try yourself!

Yelp
Was craving some Chinese food and decided to try out this place since it's right by the freeway. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but the food was definitely delicious! 1. Braised Beef Noodles - The noodles were well-cooked and the soup was very flavorful. The beef was tender and not chewy. Very very solid beef noodle soup. 2. Pan Fried Pork Buns - These took awhile to come out, but it was well worth the wait! The filling was very flavorful and the outside was nice and crispy. Another solid dish! I have tried many versions of these dishes, but I would say that this place makes the best in the Sacramento area. Glad I stumbled onto this spot, and I want to come back for the Beef Rolls :)

Yelp
The soup dumplings are an absolute must order item. I tried both the pork and the pork & shrimp soup filled dumplings. I'd say just stick with the pork filled dumplings. The broth in the dumpling is delicious. Do be careful when they are first served because the soup can be temperature hot. I would suggest eating them all up first because they aren't going to be at the optimal enjoyment when cooled down. We wanted to try a good variety of dishes so we also ordered the Shanghai fried noodles, house special fried rice and the braised mushrooms with greens (baby bok choy). The noodles were a thicker variety but they were nice and chewy and held up well. There was tons of flavor in the dish too. The house fried rice had shrimp and Chinese sausage. There was a nice balance of flavor. The ration of ingredients of the fried rice was pretty equal. To my delight the braised mushrooms and greens were so flavorful. The greens were cooked perfectly and were tossed with garlic flavor. Sometimes bok choy doesn't have much flavor. I would absolutely order this again, and if you're looking for a good vegetable dish. I was able to make a reservation through my Yelp app. It wasn't totally necessary but the restaurant has about 9 tables total. If you have a group of 5+ you may want to call ahead to ensure availability. I was concerned it might be busy at dinner but it was a weekday night so it was fine. There appeared to only be one server/waiter so was he always attentive, not really. Could I have used a refill for my water, maybe? But the quality of food deserves to be recognized so I stand by my rating.

Yelp
We stopped by Dumpling Yo for lunch, and despite being packed, the location is small yet very welcoming. Their menu offers so many tempting choices, but we decided on the pork soup dumplings, scallion pie, and the Shanghai fried noodles with pork today. There is also a screen that displays their dishes if you're undecided. The pork soup dumplings were incredibly savory and delicious, and my daughter was happy. The scallion pie were perfectly crisp and crunchy, and the Shanghai noodles, though thicker than what I've had before, had a great chewy texture and spot-on flavors. Complimentary tea was a nice touch, and I couldn't help but admire their adorable chili oil container, also noticed the chili oil itself was fresh and wonderfully crunchy. To top it off, the customer service was excellent. Overall, a great place to eat, a local favorite of mine, can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
I was in the area before the year ended. Yelp had recommended me this spot so I said why not. Upon arrival, the place is a little bit on the small side but not too small. I ordered the pan fried shrimp and pork dumplings and man, not only were they fat in size but they were so juicy!! Definitely enjoyed the dumplings with the chilli oil they have on the table. I wanted a meal, so I had order a Taiwanese Pork Belly Bowl (i genuinely forgot the name of it) and it was ok. Pork belly isn't normally a meat I go for due to its high fat content, but I was feeling something heavy/ comforting. I probably wouldn't order it again. I wasn't big on the greens. I will say, it was a filling meal. I will definitely be back and order rounds and rounds of dumplings though haha

Yelp
Fantastic dumplings, especially the shrimp and pork soup inside dumplings. We enjoyed the cucumber salad, gyoza, pan fried pork buns, cheese Rangoon and the off menu lace (?) potstickers -- all delicious. Service was friendly, prompt and attentive. Worthwhile visit if you're in the pocket area.

Yelp
I read this is one of Yelps top Chinese restaurants in US. I walked by months ago talked to someone who may have been the owner. I made it a point to return but forgot about it. Service Had to wait 30 minutes for a table this placed was packed can maybe serve 25 people. Alan was very friendly and made suggestions from the menu. Ambiance This is located in a strip mall by Nugget Market. Very clean. We were the only non Asian customers there so it must be good. House Special Spicy Fried Rice Very good Shrimp and Pork Soup Filled Dumplings Very large dumpling generous shrimp and pork filling. Soup tasty. Spicy braised beef noodle soup. Broth full of flavor, beef tender. Comes with bok choy and egg so good. I will return.

Yelp
A MUST TRY! This spot is super lowkey and cozy, in the middle of a big shopping lot. I arrived on a Wednesday night and there was no wait time. The staff was super welcoming and recommended me some of their fan-favorites. I ended up getting the beef roll and the pork soup dumplings. The beef roll- amazing and unique flavor. The beef was cooked perfectly and it was super filling. I ended up taking two of them to go for lunch the next day! The pork soup dumplings- incredibly steamy and flavorful. Even better with a sauce mixture.

Yelp
Let's start off with the services- the staff is extremely attentive and considerate from refilling water , making recommendation and allowing us to take our time with our meal ! Food was enjoyed especially their beef roll- generous amount of beef, fresh veggie, not overly saucy and the wrap was hot, crispy with a good chew and not overly thick! Dumpling was fresh and hot filling was good but the dumpling skin was a little thick on the side for me! The shanghai noodle I thought needed a little more meat ! Will have to be back to try other dishes amd repeat the beef roll

Yelp
Food was delicious & good service, I think it was family owned, I only saw 2 people running. The place was a bit small but that didn't bother us too much. We went in during lunch & it was almost full already. The dumplings came out fast while the beef rolls took a little longer but worth the wait!! The pork soup dumplings were savory & so were the dumplings in the chili oil (not pictured). We will return even though it's a bit of a drive for us.

Yelp
I finally made it to Dumpling Yo! As I've been wanting to check this little restaurant out for a while. Dumpling yo has a great menu, which includes their own handcrafted Beef Roll. I walked in to the restaurant without having made a phone order in advance. Needless to say, I placed my order at the front counter for 1 beef rolls to go. My order was ready to go in less than 10mins and it was definitely worth the wait. The beef roll was about the size of 2 large stuffed burritos cut in half and it literally filled the large takeout clamshell container. This delicious roll is stuffed with tender strips of slow cooked beef, julienned sliced scallions and cucumber and chopped cilantro. I could only finish 1 and 1/2 cut sections and the leftovers made a delicious lunch the next day.

Yelp
My lady and I were on the hunt for a delicious hot meal to satisfy our food cravings. And "Dumpling Yo!" absolutely got the job done. Located in a small strip mall in the Greenhaven area of Sacramento at the Lake Crest Village shopping center, this place has been dishing out amazing dim-sum/noodles dating back to early-2023. And with hundreds upon hundreds of positive Yelp reviews, I just had to give this place a shot; even though it was about 25 miles from our home. Hours are Wednesday through Monday from 11am-8pm and closed on Tuesday. Keep in mind that they are closed trom 3-4:30pm as they use that time to transition from lunch to dinner. We arrived a little bit after 5pm on Saturday 10/26/2024. Parking can be a challenge as this lot houses a large Nugget Market as well as being neighbored by a Subway and L&L Hawaiian BBQ. The interior is small but enough seating to fill roughly 25-30 people. They also have a small covered outdoor seating area (which I did see customers from Subway eating) at so I am assuming it is all shared. Upon entry, we were given two cups of water (no ice though) and menus. I went with one of their most popular choices, the "Spicy Braised Beef Noodles". This dish was one of their signature bowls that included Bok choy, spicy house sauce, and a 1/2 hard-boiled egg. My lady went with their "Shanghai Fried Noodles" which consisted of shredded pork, mushrooms, and Bok choy with thick noodles. We also split an order of deep-fried cheese rangoon wontons that includes a side of sweet & sour sauce. After we placed our orders, our food arrived in only 5 minutes! I knew it was made fresh as I could hear everything sizzling in the background. As far as the taste, my noodle bowl was made to absolute perfection with the right amount of heat (for the spice factor) and salty. The beef broth was also piping hot and they included a very generous amount of braised beef. I even tried a few bites of her Shanghai noodles and this too was quite delicious. All in all, "Dumpling Yo" is the real deal. Great service, convenient location, decent prices, and amazing fresh quality food that I highly recommend. My rating, five stars.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick to-go order and was immediately greeted by the friendly team. I was able to place my order for potstickers ($14.95) and they were ready pretty quickly and packed with care. The restaurant is cute and I wish I had stayed to dine in, but unfortunately I had meetings. There is a good amount of seating and the parking lot is easy to navigate and find parking in too. The postickers were delicious and it made me want to go back to try even more of their options. It'll have to happen soon because everything on the menu sounds delicious.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a friend to celebrate a victorious workday. It was my first time visiting, and since my friend is Chinese, I let her take the lead on ordering. We started with the pork and shrimp soup dumplings and the beef rolls. I noticed another customer happily eating sautéed green beans, so we added those to our order too. The dumplings were wonderfully soupy and packed with flavor, perfectly complemented by the side of ginger soy sauce. The beef rolls were a new experience for me--crispy and flaky on the outside without being dry, and filled with savory beef and thinly sliced cucumbers that added just the right crunch. They were so good, I couldn't resist having an entire second roll, even though I was full. The green beans were crisp and perfectly cooked, with just the right touch of garlic. This place is seriously yummy--a hidden gem I'm so glad we discovered.

Yelp
First time finally trying this little gem and it was with the wait! Ordered the Shanghai fried noodles, chili oil wontons, dry fried green beans and pork filled soup dumplings ALL items were super yummy! The wontons in chili oil had a filling that reminded me of foiled wrapped chicken but with a kick it was so good! You could tell the green beans were FRESH and everything came out piping hot. Not to mention the gentleman that attended my sister and I had a super positive energy to him and made us feel super welcome! Last but not least the place was clean which I take into account wherever I dine in at. We will definitely be back and will be trying more items next time!

Yelp
I was in the local area and my friend noticed this place. A group of us decided to stop and try it. We came around 7 PM on a Friday evening. Initially, it was not too busy but while we were there, the place became packed and people came in for a lot of takeout orders. For as busy as it became, service was quick and food came out timely. We got a variety of food, including the fried rice, Shanghai fried noodles, xiao long bao, pan fried dumplings, crab, Rangoon, beef noodle soup and won tons. The dumplings had a decent amount of filling in them, were juicy and had great flavor. The flavors of everything were authentic and served fresh. We all Enjoyed our meal. Prices are also reasonable and a little cheaper than other similar restaurants.

Yelp
This is my third time here, and I'm really glad to have the restaurant nearby our house. My boyfriend and I ordered the cold noodles, cucumber salad, and Shanghai noodles. I enjoyed the cold noodles, it's the perfect amount of flavor and the noodles are so delicious. My boyfriend loves the Shanghai noodles so it's been our go-to order. The cucumber salad is also refreshing on a hot day, however I would recommend the beef rolls over it because it's just too good to pass up. I can't wait to try their spicy beef noodles when I come back! I heard nothing but great reviews on it Our server Aiden is attentive and often checks up on us to make sure we're doing okay. He's always smiling and has a helpful attitude to help guide us through the menus too. The restaurant is small, but it's still roomy enough to feel comfortable. Food comes out relatively fast too. We really love this small Chinese restaurant so much and so glad to have it near us! Make sure to support this small business bc not only do they have amazing food but amazing staff.

Yelp
Pretty fast service, decent amount of space inside. Had their Shanghai fried noodle and the pork soup filled dumplings Dumplings have lots of juice and the skin is a good thickness. Would liked meat in it. Noodles were nice but needed the chilli oil sauce at the table

Yelp
!!! Some of the tastiest Taiwanese beef rolls that I've had. Quite hefty pieces too. Flaky and crispy wrapping but as a minor nitpick I wished the wrapping was thinner as it had a bite that was slightly overly gummy. Overall highly recommend ordering them. Pork soup filled dumplings were okay-ish. Succulent meat filling and the soup itself was decently seasoned (not the most complex and soothing). Big gripe regarding the wonton wrapping as it was so delicate that most of the dumplings ripped and leaked when trying to remove them from the basket. Egg tarts were crispy-fresh. Taste wasn't mind-blowing but the tarts still made great meal-end treats. Super polite and attentive server. Cozy interior. Not the best for large parties as the space is small-cafe-style and most of the tables seat up to 4 people. Ample plaza parking.

Yelp
I really wanted soup on this not so hot day and decided to use door dash. I gotta say my food arrived steaming hot even though i let it sit out for about 10mins! That's a plus especially since i ordered soup! First the fried rice was yummy the beef and broccoli not much flavor but the beef was tender. The soup i liked with the extra veggies and they actually put a good amount of wonton in the soup. We were able to split 2 of the soups between 2 adults and 2 kids with some left over: and it didn't cost a ridiculous amount of money. I think i would visit in person to try their dumplings!
