The 16 Best Restaurants Near Grand Central

"When we don’t want to think too hard about what to have for dinner, a bowl of soup at Dun Huang is an easy option. This spot, which has a few other locations around town, specializes in Northwestern Chinese food, so you’re going to see a lot of cumin-laced lamb and hand-pulled noodles on the menu. They prepare their noodles eight different ways, and you can choose between five different noodle sizes. Eat the noodles right away, but take their well-spiced cumin lamb burger to go—just grab enough napkins to wipe all that delicious gravy and grease off your hands. Google
This is a great restaurant to try food from the regions of China known for spice. The location is nicely decorated and a convenient spot. Their noodles are the centerpiece, and they have different presentations of them. I got the beef noodle soup, some saliva chicken, and a dessert of sticky rice. Everything came out promptly for lunch. The chicken was probably spicier than the beef noodle soup, and it immediately cleared my sinuses. The peanuts were a nice addition to the spice. The noodles in the soup were sturdy and had a nice chew. The dessert sticky rice was a surprise, as it contained raisins amid sesame seeds, kind of like a little treasure box of rice. Overall, it was a very nice meal.

Google
Great little noodle spot in what I consider a dead zone for food. If you’re near grand central and don’t fancy a chain or something worse walk down to Lexington and enjoy this hidden gem! Service is prompt and food is equally fast yet still delicious. The place was packed when me and my friend came but we were seated promptly and in and out like a proper fast lunch. I shall return! Well done

Google
This place is a small hidden gem! My friend and I walked in on a Saturday night and it was fairly empty. I got the vegetarian spicy oil noodles and it was amazing. The noodles are fresh and chewy and service is lightning fast. Worth the price and would definitely go back.

Google
So happy to have stumbled on this place. I tried their Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodles. The noodles were fresh, broth was cozy and a good spice level, the beef was tasty, and the radish and other garnishes added a nice flavor as well. Service was very quick and friendly. Amazing place!

Google
Visited Dunhuang on Lexington Avenue and was thoroughly pleased with the experience. The staff here are incredibly friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. I went for their signature dish, the beef with wide noodles, which was a delightful choice. The noodles were not just fresh but also served piping hot, and the broth had a rich, flavorful depth that complemented the beef perfectly. The ambiance was cozy, with seating that felt intimate yet comfortable, which added to the overall dining pleasure. They also had sparkling water on hand, served beautifully cold, which was a refreshing touch. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because I felt the beef could have been slightly more tender. However, this minor critique doesn't overshadow the overall wonderful experience at Dunhuang. Definitely a spot worth visiting for some authentic flavors in a welcoming environment.

Google
Just had a meal at Dunhuang Noodles. For appetizers, the Shredded Potato Salad was refreshing, and the Sweet & Sour Short Ribs were a delightful mix of flavors. Don’t skip the Chinese Hamburger (Pork) and it’s a must-try! The Silky Wide Noodles were a standout hot appetizer, so smooth and satisfying. The Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodles were simply perfection, rich, flavorful broth and perfectly chewy noodles. The Pepper Fragrant Sesame Noodles Soup was equally impressive with its aromatic and tantalizing sesame flavor. Topped it all off with Eight Jewel Sticky Rice for dessert, which was a sweet treat, and washed everything down with Sweet Plum Juice and a fizzy Arctic Ocean soda. Dunhuang Noodles delivers big on taste and makes every dish memorable. Definitely coming back!

Google
The food here is so rich and flavorful you can tell that the noodles are hand pulled because they taste so fresh and delicious! The broth for the noodles and soups are incredibly delicious. I licked the bowl clean everything I ordered my absolutely loved highly recommend this place. The servers are very attentive and friendly and always making sure that you don’t need anything.

Yelp
Fast and efficient service with simple consistent and delicious meals! The proportion of the noodles are just right and broth are not greasy at all (I ordered non-spicy) Also strongly recommend the lamb chops!

Yelp
The perfect meal on a cold and rainy day. It's quick, affordable, and consistent. You really can't go wrong with any of the noodles. I got the Signature Lanzou Beef Noodles ($13) and the Lamb Dry Noodles ($13). Both were delicious but i'd say the dry noodles were a standout for me because it was so flavorful and had a good kick to it. I also love that you can pick out the type of noodle you want for each dish! There's a good amount of seating but I could see how it could get packed pretty quick. Highly recommend takeout if you're coming during a lunch or dinner rush. I did feel like the service was a bit rushed even though it was pretty empty when I went, to the point where they wanted to clear our plates before we were even done.

Yelp
Solid food. Functional space. No frills really but overall it's clean and comfortable. Service is quick and efficient. Food skews spicy. That should be obvious. But there's complexity underneath the spice. And I love how lamb is a big part of the menu. Mutton was nice and gamey. Spiced beef, mouth watering chicken and pan fried noodles were all done well. Will have to come back for the Lanzhou noodles.

Yelp
If you are looking for affordable noodles soup in Manhattan, you should check out Dun Huang . This spot is famous for its authentic Chinese Northwestern cuisine. Their noodles are handmade and hand-pulled to perfection. We tried their signature Lanzhou beef noodles and it was very good. The broth was rich and aromatic , the beef was so tender. The noodles had the perfect chewy texture that only comes from being freshly made. Also must try is their sweet and sour short ribs . The balance of sweet and tangy flavors left us craving more. Whether you are looking for a quick bite or leisurely meal, this spot has you covered. The service is quick and efficient, making it ideal spot for a lunch break or a quick dinner after work. We ordered : -Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodles -Boiled Fish -Zha Jiang Noodles -Kelp salad -Lamb Chinese hamburger -Sweet and sour short ribs Follow @spinx17 for more NYC food adventures!

Yelp
This was a cute little noodle place with heartwarming soup. I wish I added more things to it cuz the baseline is actually not that much food--just radish and some meat. The soups were pretty much ready immediately, which means if you're hungry, they definitely got you with fast service.

Yelp
One of my favorite Chinese spots for some quick and delicious homestyle noodles! My go-to order is always the N1 Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, which always hits the spot no matter the time of day, but hits especially well when the air is brisk outside. I'll sometimes add a Chinese Hamburger if I'm particularly hungry, which pairs flawlessly with the noodle soup. Service is probably the quickest and most attentive I have seen in NYC, and prices are still reasonable. 5 stars!

Yelp
The noddles were to soggy. If the noddles were al dente it will be much better. Not a lot of pieces of beef in the beef noodle soup.

Yelp
Amazing delicious food for reasonable prices especially the area it's located. I loveee the cold chicken, that was delicious. Spicy noodles was so good. Honestly every dish we had was delicious. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The noodles of this place were incredible! Surely a hidden gem near Grand Central. Great for a business meetings or a causal work lunch. This spot is worth it, especially if you are looking for something cozy to eat. Service was great. Will be back again!

Yelp
Yelp tip to check in and show the waitress for an eggplant salad!! I really wanted noodles and Dun Huang was a convenient spot close to Grand Central, but away with some tourists. It was super open around 2pm on a weekend, and service was very quick. The broth left more to be desired, but is a quick and easy spot to grab a bite. I just got the langzhou la mien which was decent, but not great.

Yelp
(Overall: B) - Danhuang seems to be quite a reasonable option for relatively affordable and quick Chinese eats with a modest interior. The food seems to be flavorful and authentic, and would recommend overall. (Eggplant Salad: B) - The cut side of the eggplant is able to absorb the flavors quite nicely; however, unlike a cucumber or some other vegetable that is able to maintain a crunch. Nevertheless, this is a simple dish that works quite nicely as an appetizer. (Mouthwatering Chicken: A) - Flavorful chicken that has depth of flavor built from both the poaching liquid and the sauce on top. (Sweet and Sour Ribs: C) - These ribs develop some pleasant flavors, but for some reason these riblets do not have much meat attached to the bone. (Lanzhou Noodle Soup: B) - The noodles have beautifully developed flavor and pair well with the soothing soup that is primarily white pepper and msg. The few slices of meat and daikon are tender and reasonable given the pricepoint. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: E Service: E Menu: +1 Overall: +2 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Yelp
Ordered the Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle. Broth had a deep flavor with the right amount of spice added. Beef cooked well and noodles had good texture. Very filling dinner and ate it pretty fast it was that good. It was easy to get a seat at dinner time and staff was very attentive.

Yelp
I've passed by this place numerous times since it is near work. It's hard to spot since there's scaffolding on top of the restaurant. I decided to take out and not dine in even though there's plenty of indoor seating. There's plenty of options depending on what you like to eat, but I believe they're known for their noodles. I ordered the Zha Jiang noodles to go. It's dark bean paste with diced up pork and other ingredients. You can choose how you would like your noodles, I chose regular style. It would've been different if I had it at the restaurant as the noodles wouldn't have been stuck together and harder to eat. I would like to go to the restaurant and dine in next time.

Yelp
I really enjoyed everything I had here. The plum juice is a must try if you've never had before, it's one of my favorites to get at Chinese restaurants. I highly recommend the soup, and the spicy chili noodles. The dumplings are good as well but chive heavy. The service is very quick and the portions are large. They have a decent amount of seating and you can usually just walk in. It's reasonably priced for being in midtown and so close to grand central.

Rachel W.

Yelp
I normally don't review restaurants unless I love them or hate them, and this place is both of them. The food was amazing, but the staff was incredibly rude and cold. Our waiter snapped at us and rolled her eyes multiple times. I asked what type of fruit was in one of the teas, and she rolled her eyes and said "can you read." The tea stated "fruit" it didn't state what type of fruit. I have a serious allergy to a lot of fruits, so wanted to make sure I wasn't going to go into anaphylaxis or something in the middle of the restaurant. Her rudeness really put a damper on the meal, she was incredibly disrespectful. Even though the food was great, I will not be supporting this restaurant again.

Yelp
Great service and amazing tasty food.. what else could you ask for. N1, N5, the eggplant, & the scallion pancake was our order, they all were delicious! This place was a great find!

Yelp
Come here for quick and speedy meal. Ordered and it literally came out right away. Make sure to check in b/c they have a deal! Such speedy service. They are so on top of it. Very casual eats here.

Yelp
I love how authentic and comforting this noodle shop is in Midtown! The Lanzhou noodle was my favorite. The broth is super flavorful and the spice adds a fun kick to the dish. They allow you to choose the noodle thickness as well. I also ordered the monstrous chicken plate. It was a very generous serving of chicken with flat noodles underneath. The noodles were okay but the chicken was flavorful and tender. If you're looking for dessert, they have a fun milk, egg dish that reminds me of what you'd get in China. Incredibly authentic and this place is the perfect spot to come to on a cold day! Affordable prices and delicious. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Absolutely one of my favorite places to come for lunch when I don't want to cook while working from home. I've never had an issue being seated even during prime lunch time, not because it's not good, but because the food comes out so fast they're usually able to move customers along pretty quickly. Menu has enough variety while being simple, though I always order the signature because it is DELICIOUS. The wide noodles are the perfect texture and size for me (not too absurdly wide but still chewy) and I absolutely love the huge amounts of cilantro they put in that gives the soup a bite of flavor -- doesn't make it feel too oily, as a lot of spicy Chinese soups do.
google avatar

Rajeev L.

Yelp
I came back here after a year or so and liked it but didn't love it. The noodles are hand pulled and you can tell they are fresh. Service is prompt and the food is filling, however I was expecting more flavor.

Yelp
Dun Huang offers an authentic taste of Chinese cuisine, featuring traditional dishes with a modern twist. The dessert pictured -- likely a glutinous rice dish with Osmanthus flowers and nuts -- was beautifully presented in a heart-shaped dish. It had a delicate sweetness that paired well with the chewy rice texture and the crunchy nuts on top, offering a satisfying contrast. The overall ambiance of the restaurant appears casual, perfect for group dining, and the menu offers a wide variety of appetizers, mains, and beverages, including cold brew tea and sweet plum juice. Service was quick and friendly, making the experience pleasant.

Yelp
Wow, what a hole in the wall. The owner chose the ideal location because I mainly found this place while looking for a restaurant by Grand Central station. Staff is SO attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. Food: Very authentic, have to get a noodle dish of some sort because they are hand pulled and comes out quickly. Hope this place flourishes.

Yelp
4 - Met expectations Wanted a nice tasty warm bowl of noodles. That's exactly what I got. Service was fine. Spice level was as desired.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
I walked by this place and the NY Times article posted on their window caught my eye! The staff was friendly, the food was decent, although I was expecting some level of spice as denoted by the menu but it came out not spicy at all which is okay. I finished the entire bowl and the price is very affordable, especially for 2024. Would come back to try some of their other offerings!

Tianrun J.

Yelp
I like Dunhuang at other locations, but this place is a joke. I ordered the mutton on bones along with other stuff for a workday lunch and it came with only five pieces of meat? Hello? You are not a fancy restaurant, so a dish that costs $24 should have more than five pieces of meat. Don't say the meat is quite chunky or anything, when I order a $24 dish, I am expecting it to at least fill the bottom of the box!
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
This place is mediocre at best. Came here due to the high reviews. It is a cheap and cheerful sorta place by GCT. Upon ordering, I was disappointed in the poor quality ingredients and poor taste. The chili oil tasted burned and over cooked, noodles lacked consistency and texture. We were disappointed to say the least and we won't be coming back.

Yelp
This is the perfect place to go to on those cold, wet dreary days when you want some comforting no frills authentic Chinese food. A couple of co-workers and I decided to come here for an early dinner last week. Like most Chinese restaurants, the food came out super-fast. We ordered: Chinese Hamburger with beef--thick cut marinated beef stuffed in a pita-like bread. This was just okay. I think I probably should have gotten the lamb instead. The beef was tender, but the burger could have fared better with some kind of sauce or gravy Zha Jiang Noodles--loved the thin, soft, chewy noodles coated with the ground pork stew. The sliced cucumbers were a nice texture contrast and gave the dish a nice fresh element. This came in a large bowl, and we all thought it would be good to share between us three but actually we probably should have ordered another noodle dish. We devoured this one pretty quickly Sweet and Sour Short Ribs--Bite sized short ribs tips. This was a pretty good dish. The meat was crunchy and sweet from the sauce and went perfectly with rice Hot Chicken Wings--was delicious. It had a really crispy coating and very juicy meat. It wasn't all that spicy, just a slight heat. A great appetizer; next time I would probably order two of these Oxtail stew--this dish was part of their daily special and it was our favorite dish of the night. It was a very generous portion of oxtail stew with potatoes and corn. The oxtail was so tender and delicious, and the sauce perfectly enhanced the meat. When we went, the restaurant wasn't too crowded, and the staff were so nice. We were so comfortable and had a great time dining here. I really appreciated that they didn't rush us out even though we stayed almost three hours! I saw online that they have several locations in Manhattan and Queens. Will have to try the one on the UWS near work asap.

Yelp
This place is my go-to for Chinese noods when I'm too lazy to make the trek down to Chinatown or over to Flushing. Here's everything I've tried, ranked in descending order of preference: Cold noodles- these were a sleeper hit. Addictively seasoned with super QQ noodles. Loved the perfectly cooked shredded chicken mixed throughout as well. Yum, could eat this every day. Boiled lamb ribs- it's a simple dish, but a very comforting and nostalgic one for me as it's a Gansu specialty. Bit pricey, but tasty. Stir-fried noodles- their noodle execution is very consistent. All of their noodles, whether stir-fried, in soup, or cold have the perfect amount of tanginess. Another simple dish, done well. Wide potato noodles- this was a bit spicier and saltier than I anticipated, but delicious nonetheless. I'm a fiend for wide potato noodles and you can't find them in many places, so loved that they had this. Beef noodle soup- their headline dish was actually one of their weaker ones imo. But I have very high standards for Lanzhou beef noodles being from there originally. It was a serviceable bowl- it just lacked the depth of flavor that a great bowl of this dish has, mainly coming from the spices in the soup and the chili oil. Pork burger- this wasn't bad by any means, just unmemorable. I prefer the variant of this dish where they use a crispier, almost croissant-like bread, but here they use the flatbread variant. Overall, the majority of the dishes here are hits. This will definitely be a regular haunt for me :)

Yelp
This is a great spot to have a casual meal if you're in the area and craving noodles! I came with a couple of friends and ordered: + monstrous plate chicken (chicken was very tender and the broth mix had great flavor) + sweet and sour short ribs + cucumber salad (was a refreshing side item alongside the spicy dishes) + cold noodles (my favorite item that we got - loved the sesame and spiciness, and the cold chicken that came with it had a great bouncy chew) + signature Lanzhou beef noodles (their specialty, worth a try) We tried their wide and regular noodles and both were delicious, very evidently fresh and made in house and came served with scissors to cut. The staff was also very kind and attentive and I'd definitely recommend this as a spot for a group dinner.

Yelp
Great 兰州拉面. Is it on the level of China? No. But the staff was sweet and I finished the bowl. It gets the job done. Not crowded at 6 pm on a Monday. Price is reasonable ~$15 for a bowl.
google avatar

Smeeth W.

Yelp
This local chain is consistently good for Chinese foods. They have great noodles and I ordered lamb this time. The check in order eggplant is flavorful. And I never had eggplant salad before so that was a great surprise. You'll need to separate white rice if wanted. And I wish they main entrees would include some more veggies
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing hand pulled noodles and "Chinese Hamburgers". Loved everything about this place, down to the very friendly staffer who spoke Mandarin with me. I highly recommend the Steamed mutton which is flavorful by itself, but comes with a sauce too. The hamburgers can be stuffed with either pork, lamb, or beef. Came out super fresh and tasty. These guys really know what they're doing. You're missing out by not coming here.

Yelp
Yum! This was my 2nd time at Dun Huang on Lexington Ave. Everything was delicious, service was fast and employees were helpful. The Mo Crispy Flatbread was DELICIOUS and addictive...they give you a large portion and I could not stop eating it. Very savory, salty (but not overly so), and just full of flavor. I can already tell I will be craving it again soon. Oil spill noodles were also very flavorful and delicious. I wouldn't call them 'spicy' in terms of heat, but they were very good. Restaurant was quiet and not crowded early on a Thursday evening, and prices were very reasonable, especially for the area. Will go again next time I'm in Manhattan!
google avatar

Alex Z.

Yelp
Very authentic northern China cuisine. Mainly focus on hand pull noodle, fresh made to order and you get to choose which size you want. There are also some traditional dishes such as the steamed mutton that's very juicy and fresh, come with a dipping powder very simple but delicious. Make sure to try their signature beef noodle soup, the broth is amazing. Flavorful and a little sweetness taste just like the ones you get in China. The burgers are also must have, it's traditional with flour pita bread toasted and stuffed with your choice of pork/beef/lamb, my favorite is the pork; well marinated and cooked pork belly inside. Not to mention the noodle are very cheap, $12.5 a bowl that can definitely get you full. And the burger is only $5.5 each. The manager is super friendly and come over and chat with us. I haven't seen a restaurant manager be so welcoming for a long time.

Lance H.

Yelp
This was a complete surprise. Food was EXCELLENT (amazing noodles), service was quick and friendly, clean interior and bathroom. And very affordable for NYC! Will be visiting again next time I'm in the city.

Caitlyn w.

Yelp
Food is great and yummy, service is quick and thoughtful. Will be back when I'm around this area again!

Yelp
Perfect spot for quiet, safe, cold weather dining. Tables are not too close together and most of the weekend dinner business is takeout. But of course the food is a big reason, too Stir-fried hand pulled noodles are an outstanding savory dish. We got vegetarian with extra vegetables and it was a delicious, comforting throwback to my childhood, packed with bok choy, onions, and bean sprouts. The beef noodle soup is mildly spicy and flavorful, like a good bowl of pho. Don't future to check in on Yelp and unlock an extra appetizer. If you have room, emerald sticky rice is an unusual treat to finish your meal. Savory, nutty with sesame, not too sweet (contains walnuts)
google avatar

Najwa G.

Yelp
The signature Lanzhou beef noodle certainly did live up to its hype. It was the perfect meal for a rainy NYC day. The noodles were cooked perfectly & all the condiments & broth completed the meal. The only downside is I feel that they didn't give enough beef so I just ordered more. The price is quite inexpensive regardless so it wasn't a big deal. Service was great as well, I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Came for dinner and tried 4 noodle dishes: The Spicy Oil Noodles, Pan Fried Noodles with Lamb, Dun Huang Cold Noodles (chili chicken) and Zha Jiang Noodles (caramelized ground pork). 3 would be enough for two very hungry people to share. The pan fried noodles were reminiscent of lo mein, enjoyable but not much in the way of flavor. The cold noodles had a nice amount of spice to them and the peanuts were a nice touch, the dish was just not to our liking. The zha jiang noodles with the ground pork were good (I should have ordered it with the extra wide noodles instead of thick), but it was missing some spice. I recognize this dish was not listed as spicy, but it would have rounded out the flavors of the dish nicely, it just felt like it was missing something. The spicy oil noodles were delicious, loved the overall flavor and the addition of bok choy, just wish it had the option to add meat. The portions were a good size and the prices are extremely reasonable. The service is quick and the restaurant itself is a pretty decent sized space. By far the best noodle was the Spicy Oil Noodle (similar to a spicy cumin hand pulled noodle but missing the cumin). My only suggestion for that dish would be the option to add a protein like lamb, chicken etc.

Yelp
Low key but underrated noodle place. Tucked away so it's easy to miss but the food is great and the pricing is to match. Never disappointed with this place

Yelp
Authentic noodle spot. Prices are very reasonable for mid town East. Service is mediocre but I always say that you don't go to an authentic place for the service. Place is clean and spacious. Would come back again.

Yelp
I came with with my boyfriend for lunch. For appetizers we ordered their lamb and beef burger, super tasty and flavorful, their sweet and sour ribs was a bit on the sweeter side, we also really enjoyed their wings. Entrees: I had their braised beef noodles and the beef was super tender, and my bf had their Zha Jiang noodles, and we also had their beef in sour and spicy soup ( basically thin slice beef, enoki mushroom, beef sprouts and vermicelli noodles it was really delicious and flavorful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Come check them out.

Yelp
After my first experience with the LIC location, I was happy to stumble upon their location near Grand Central. My husband and I wanted some delicious spicy noodles to beat the heat/humidity (it was one of those gross muggy days). He got the cold noodles (included chunks of chicken, bean sprouts and peanuts) and I got the spicy oil spill noodles. How do they get the texture of the noodles to come out so perfectly?! The cold noodles were the thin kind and I was surprised that they were so firm and chewy. My spicy oil spill noodles had extra wide noodles, and had that nice chewy texture that made it so satisfying to eat. The sauces were delightfully spicy and our mouths were tingly and on fire- totally worth it for the savory flavor of the sauce/noodles. This exterior of this location is super lowkey so you may miss it unless you're looking for it- definitely a solid place for a good bowl of noodles if you're in the area.

Yelp
I came on a Thursday evening at 7:30pm, and there were plenty of seats available. Here are the dishes I ordered: 1) Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup: flavor of the broth was not too strong or spicy, but still very tasty. However, the noodles were not as chewy as I would have preferred. 2) Mung Bean Noodle: the flavor of this was slightly salty and spicy. The noodles here are also not super chewy (though I think that's how the dish is meant to be). Prices were extremely reasonable, and our food came out extremely quickly. If you're in the mood for some Chinese comfort food that isn't too expensive, this is the place to go!

Yelp
The food here at Dun Huang is authentic and tasty. We usually get our food within a few minutes when it's not busy. We try to order different dishes each time and never got disappointed. The cucumber salad is a must try, and the sliced beef is a surprise for spice lovers. The oil spill noodle was so good that we had to fight the last small piece of scallion haha. The service is welcoming and warm. The restaurant has an authentic Chinese restaurant atmosphere -calm, clean, with enough room between tables to give customers privacy. And also the location is so good - close to grand central and the bus stops to the airports. Definitely a must go when you are in the area and crave Chinese food!

Yelp
A solid lanzhou noodle soup, this place wasn't too packed so we were able to be seated quickly. On the menu, my friends and I knew we wanted to try their noodle soups and they also came with various options for what type of noodles you wanted (thin, regular, thick, wide, etc.). My friends and I got lanzhou noodle soup with thin noodles, lanzhou noodle soups with regular noodles, and a beef noodle soup with regular noodles. The noodle soup came piping hot, but not too hot that I had to wait to eat. The broth was a nice spice and delicious, but I wasn't too big of a fan of the thin noodles. It seemed too chewy and not firm enough. On the other hand, the regular noodles were nice and firm, a perfect noodle type for this dish. The beef noodle soup was not spicy, but the broth was sweet and flavorful. I preferred the beef noodle soup over the Lanzhou noodle soup, and would love to come again!

Yelp
Stopped in on our way to a concert and we're greeted at the door. Sat down and had amazing service from start to finish. The couple sitting next to us even gave us super helpful tips on what to order. Food came out quickly, hot and fresh. Immediately noticed that the noodles were hand made fresh in house. Food was absolutely delicious. Restaurant was well lit and very clean. 10/10 will DEFINITELY be returning to this location.

Yelp
Since noodles is a quintessential Chinese New Year dish, I decided to give this a try since Lanzhou is most famous for its noodles! Was very pleasantly surprised to see the auspicious eight jewel rice pudding on the menu and got it in a NY minute!! True to form, the noodles are exactly what you would expect from a well hand pulled noodles - the perfect thickness and chewy texture. Very flavorful and the chicken was well seasoned - you know the place is legit when they use proper chicken pieces instead of the boring (and tasteless) chicken breast. The right jewel rice pudding is delightful! Perfect combination is sticky rice, red bean paste, nuts, and raisins. I think they also sprinkled some dried osmanthus on top- Love that! Would love to try other items on their menu!
