The Bay Area’s Most Exciting Restaurant Openings - Eater SF

"Back in 2014, pastry-and-coffee chain Dunkin’ Donuts announced an ambitious plan to enter the Bay Area market, with 26 stores planned for the San Francisco area and 13 more expected in San Jose. It took two years for its first Bay Area spot to open, and though it’s made moves like a Concord 'store of the future' that opened in 2018, it’s very very far from that 2014 goal, its location finder reveals. In fact, it’s just opened its second location in San Jose at 844 S. Winchester Boulevard, the Bay Area News Group reports, with a (shuttered for now) dining room with a fireplace and TV, and drive-thru that’s opened from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m." - Eve Batey

Dear Dunkin’ Customer Service, I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share feedback regarding a recent visit to one of your locations that left us feeling frustrated and disappointed. During our visit, we placed an order ahead of time and received a notification that it was ready. However, upon arrival, we experienced a long wait, and when we inquired about our order, we were told the donuts still needed to be retrieved. Despite this delay, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the wait time. Additionally, we requested a drink with less ice, but it was primarily filled with ice to the extent that my hands turned bright red from holding the cup. The lack of attention to our request compounded the frustration we already felt due to the wait. We understand that the store was busy and that the staff may have been newer, but the overall customer service experience fell short of what we expected. As recent American Express Card members, we were excited to use our card at Dunkin’ and looked forward to making Dunkin’ a regular part of our routine. Unfortunately, this experience has made us hesitant to return. We wanted to share this feedback in hopes that it helps improve future customer experiences. We would appreciate any steps Dunkin’ might take to address this and restore our confidence in your brand. Thank you for taking the time to read our feedback. We look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Daniel

Google
Good place but for whatever reason they sometimes are not ready with sausage croissants in the morning even if it is 40 min after they open. Young workers they do good but I think one more or two will help them out ,I once had to wait 20 min in drive thru ..

Google
Not sure what happened or if they dont add sweetener to their machiatto or if they just forgot. But it tasted like iced coffee minus a sweetner. Can I still get a refund if I got it via the drive through?

The vanilla cream and chocolate cream filled donuts here are very generously filled. I go out of my way to go to this particular Dunkin'.

i ordered an online order and i was still waiting for my drink when i got there, which is fine but i could see it finished behind the counter. this lady was asking if an unlabeled coffee was hers and the employees were straight up ignoring her. my iced coffee was straight up milk and soooo gross. definitely worst dunkin experience i’ve ever had.

Google
Poor service. Especially the drive-thru. Since when they stick out the POS system for you to scan your card, so you have to stretch yourself out all the way outside your car to scan your credit card. When I asked the attendant to take my card and scan it at the POS they looked at me like I'm weird. I highly suggest they hire people with a little bit of half a brain that have the ability to stretch their arm outside that drive-thru window

The place seems to be freshly renovated and was absolutely spotless. The parking lot and the inside were both very clean. They are parking onsite at the perimeter of the property and have a drive-thru also. They accept NFC payments. Comfortable seating inside: two seat tables, bar style high chairs and bench style couch in front of a large screen TV. Staff was very polite and quick with service.

So I had Dunkin’ for the first time last week on the east coast and when I saw it’s here to def had to try it Especially with a drive through that helps! The glaze doughnut could have had more glaze on it, felt like there wasn’t enough, the texture was alright and it was decent cakeyness. The second glaze donut wasn’t good, too doughy inside and thick with glaze lacking on top. The chocolate donut had good enough frosting on top. Inside was very cakey, but condensed cakeyness. Maybe that’s how Dunkin’s is, I’m used to Krispy Kreme’s or mom/pop shops. The frosting tasted pretty much like any chocolate cake frosting, Betty Crocker vibes, like somebody bought frosting from Safeway and put it on by a knife ontop of the glazed lol The coffee was decent so that was alright, the staff was really nice . I think il probably stick to the other donut shops cuz these aren’t matching my donut flavors that I like Also 3 donuts and small coffee was like $8something. Like wow

Yelp
Drive through individuals were super attentive and helpful today! They helped me through issues I was having with the Dunkin app and was able to get a free donut.
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
I always preorder on the app so it's ready for me ahead of time. I gave it about 5 minutes and my order was promptly made. I also like you can make all the customizations on the app (even if you want extra pumps, flavors, ect). I will say depending on the day and the location Dunkin can be pretty inconsistent with the quality so it's a hit or miss. Prices I'd say are one down from your average Starbucks drinks. I like the seasonal add on flavors they roll out with. I also liked that they run a lot of promotions and deals through the app to entice customers.
google avatar

Evangelina B.

Yelp
I don't usually come to this location but it was the only one in my area that had my favorite seasonal drink available, the Cookie Butter cold brew! I placed my order via the app and also ordered a breakfast sandwich. I knew this location has a drive thru so I was looking forward to getting in and out, but not so much. When I arrived there was a line , almost to the street. I noticed their parking lot is super tight. So even if you wanted to go inside and grab and go, the parking spots are right by the drive thru line and there is no way you could back up your car if there is a long line. I don't think the drive thru idea works for this location. Not to mention it's right off a super busy street, Winchester. When I was leaving the pickup window I had to merge into the cars leaving the parking lot and the cars waiting to turn onto Winchester. It took me a minute to leave. This location lacks convenience during busy hours.Other than the business location inconvenience I had good service and my order was correct. I'm knocking off one star because of the logistics of the location.

Yelp

Yelp
A small yet trendy joint for Dunkin' Donut drive drive through orders. Their app is one of the best in terms of offers and awards so be aware of it

Yelp
Love the new butter pecan iced latte & now the new turtle iced latte.. added shot in each. I don't think their coffees are as sweet as Starbucks, and I like that. I kinda go too much lol so there's multiple visits. One of them was awhile back.. was pretty funny. I did my order at the drive thru.. went to the window and they gave me my order.. then closed the window. I was just waiting.. they opened the window back up and she looked at me an all rudely said "did u need something" I was all no. She closed the window n I drove off lol They never charged me!! But recently there's Victor who is super friendly and nice. He told me bout a $5 promotion to DL their app. He always gives napkins, idk he's so friendly. There's a few other staff and they've all been nice now. Bavarian crème donuts are the best!

Yelp
Donuts were decent, not great. The employees were very annoyed that we went in to order, as they were on their phones. They were mean mugging us the entire time and rolled their eyes at us. We were the only ones there at that moment, even the drive thru was empty, so idk why they were being so disrespectful.
google avatar

Yelp
Donuts are fine and coffee is tasty as expected. However, I waited a little longer than I expected for my indoor order.

Yelp
My first time here and I had a great time. The main dining area was clean and kept up well. One napkin holder by the garbage can was empty, and the only place to get napkins was right by the pickup area where a lot of people were standing. Minor inconvenience. The bathroom is a single hole and large so great if you have kids. I went all in and ordered from the app. My friend ordered at the counter. We had sausage egg cheese croissants and it was very tasty. The sausage was a larger diameter and had a good thickness to it. The fried egg was cooked all the way through, so no runny yolk. I got a side of hash browns that weren't as hot and crisp as I'd like but the seasoning was terrific. Friend got a side of bacon and it was the excellent maple bacon. Super flavorful and smoky goodness. I was good and only stole one piece. There was a lot of bacon in her bag. And I got a jelly donut because I was going all in. It was yeasty and chewy with a nice amount of what I believed was raspberry jelly in it and a nice coating of small grain sugar. I was very satisfied. Coffee was good and hot. The parking lot was a bit odd. I wish it were wider. I had parked in there as it wasn't too busy but my friend had to park next door because the line for the drive through went out into the street blocking it for anyone who wanted to pull in and park. Thankfully when I left, people left me room to back out. Everyone I dealt with were polite, friendly and made me feel like I was a welcomed visitor. I would go again. I felt the price was very fair for what I got.

Yelp
Nice people, but my drive thru order is wrong 25-50% of the time. This week, 100%. Usually it's just getting wrong the particularities of my order, like maybe the wrong cheese, but today it's a completely different item. I need to check my order. I always feel bad holding up the drive-thru but then I find out when I'm already down the street and part way to the freeway. Also, I really don't understand what the attraction is to their donuts. Krispy Kreme and local shops are much better (fresh, moist), but I've always enjoyed their good breakfast and drink selection which is much better for vegetarians than Starbucks down the street.

Yelp
I'll start by saying I love Dunkin! They have a great menu selection and their rewards/points system is awesome. This particular location, despite being newer to the area, is sub par. Their customer service is never outstanding (aside from a few friendly workers) and their food is never fresh. My sandwich wasn't terrible but it wasn't warm, almost like it had been sitting for a while. My donut actually was in the bag upside down, which I would assume explains why it looks like it got smeared on the floor. My latte was good, not great, and I just ordered it regular but it came with like 3 ice cubes in it which I found bizarre. As far as the customer service, the woman at the speaker where you take your order was not friendly at all (at least during my visit) but the man at the window handing me my order was very friendly. So I would just suggest that they continue to better train their employees so that the customer service is consistent.
google avatar

Yelp
I won't come again. The donuts look a bit stale and their are little flies trapped in the donut case. Kinda gross. Coffee is more than Philz. Sadly, it's a skip place for this east coast nostalgia. This place is so new it's sad.

Gena E.

Yelp
Had delivered to our hotel. Coffee was hot & flavorful! Honestly, the coffee was the best part! Croissant breakfast sandwich was fluffy, buttery and hot! Tasted good in the moment. We were pleased with the quick delivery and enjoyed eating without having to leave our hotel room. But let's talk about the 3 separate delivery charges I was charged! Yikes!! I have nothing more to add because we had it delivered. We have no idea what the actual place looks like

Yelp
I was first introduced to Dunkin' when I was living in SoCal and I'm a fan of their iced coffees. This is the only Dunkin' closest to me and I ordered a 10 count munchkins ($3.49) and a large iced butter pecan coffee (they were out of French vanilla at 9:25AM?!). My fave is a tie between the powdered and the blueberry. These were a solid 4/5. I ordered via the drive thru and there were ~8 cars in front of me, but will opt to order in person during my next visit as the drive thru was slow AF. The lady over the intercom and the gentleman at the pick-up window were nice and friendly. I paid via the QR code on the Dunkin app on my iPhone; beeped my phone, received my goods, and I was off. -1 star for being out of the French vanilla swirl and the slow drive thru experience

Yelp
Traffic is usually very busy on Winchester Blvd., but the service here is excellent. The young man who packed my order was passionate about his job. He's done an excellent job at combining my two separate mobile orders into one bag, making it much easier for me to carryout. No hassles and no spillovers. I ordered 1-original blend medium iced coffee, 1-original blend medium hot coffee, 1-tomato avocado toast, 1-box half dozen donuts, and 1-egg sausage cheese wrap breakfast item. Everything tasted good and was kept at good temperatures. Staff friendly. Decent customers. It was my very first visit to this location, but I am a regular customer at the Sunnyvale El Camino & San Jose Berryessa locations. I was surprised how spacious it was inside. Best of all, it was very clean, well organized, and fast service. Looks like a fast food building from the outside. Narrow parking lot area, but very easy for folks to loop all around through the drive thru area. One way in & out. Not too bad for being located on & off of a very busy street neighborhood. I liked that it was very quiet inside. Didn't see many long lines inside or outside. It was a breeze getting in and out. Great place for young folks to get job experiences. I actually do love all or most Dunkin Donuts visits. They are usually very good at packaging things. I will be returning next time if in the area. The location totally surprised me. I enjoy less busy places with no lines. Got very lucky today. Order from the mobile app to earn free foods/beverages and rewards points for each visit. I have over 900 points now. Will redeem more free foods in future.

Yelp
1 star is for the wait at the drive through line that extended almost a full block 5 stars for the service For my west coast brothers and sisters, don't get the original flavor coffee. Get the middle/medium roast and you won't go away thinking you've just ordered the water used to rinse out diner coffee cups.

Yelp
I just went in with the intention of buying 12 donuts but they only list the price for a half dozen ($8.99) on their case. I am on a strict budget, so I needed to know how much the dozen would cost before I ordered. After waiting for 5 minutes or so the woman asked how she could help me. I asked the price of the dozen since I was on the fence and she said $13.99. Again, the price is not posted. She doesn't ring me up, she just scans it and walks away. The price on the register said $15.99. I stand there and ask another worker for help since the other woman walked away. Ask the price and she says $15.99. Said I heard $13.99. The woman (who wasn't nearby during the transaction) said she heard her coworker say $15.99. Great. I don't want to ramble, but this was really frustrating. It is embarrassing to have to put things back and they also didn't even acknowledge that the price of a dozen was left blank on their case. That is not helpful for customers. I ended up having to ask twice to use my T-Mobile coupon as well because she "forgot" the first time. She picked the donuts out and threw them out. I was the only person in the store and no one in the drive thru, though they could have had online orders. I've been going here since the day they opened. I was understanding of the poor, slow customer service because it's a hard job. What I'm not ok with is being shamed for trying to figure out the correct price for a dozen donuts. $17 something dollars with tax is CRAZY and close to double the price of local shops. I'll be going local from now on. This Dunkin has really lost sight of the importance of being kind and considerate to their customers.
google avatar

Shannon N.

Yelp
First, the price posted on the front of the donut display is $1.69 per donut, yet they charged me $1.79 (plus tax) which is illegal. Second, the filling for my chocolate kreme filled tonight was beyond pathetic. Third, the only trash can in the place was overflowing. Staff was cold and unfriendly. I haven't been to a dunkin in a long time but had a coupon so I stopped by. This mistake won't be repeated.
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
The coffee was good, true to the DD coffee grinds sold at the supermarket. Donuts were decent, nothing too special, but I like that they have so many flavors, especially the blueberry. As many reviewers have noted, the wait is quite long (specifically for drive thru, during my visit), but I didn't mind since they make up for it with their excellent customer service. The employee helping us was patient to answer questions in the drive thru and give suggestions for donut flavors to try. I'm not big on donuts, but if they found a way to speed up the service, I'd be back.
google avatar

George A.

Yelp
They should close this down, the crew is slow and rude as hell, they don't care. It's better to support your mom and pop donut shops. My drink was too sweet, even the ants won't touch it. ‍

Yelp
Not impressed with this location. Couldn't enter the store - drive through only. The jelly doughnuts barely had any jelly in them. And then when we tried to use our QR code based gift cards, they said only 2 per car (we had three), which wouldn't have been an issue to use if we could go inside and use them. So the combination of stingily made doughnuts, lack of flexibility in buying in store vs being forced to buy in a drive through line, and the arbitrary policy of limiting QR code usage to two per car - add all that up and you get a two star experience at best. The Dunkin location on El Camino in Sunnyvale is much better. Spacious inside, no problem with using multiple QR codes, and actual jelly filled doughnuts vs requiring a CSI team to find trace elements of jelly like at the Winchester location.

Yelp
When moving to the West Coast, I was sad to see that the closet Dunkin Donuts was roughly a 40 minute drive from where we were living - Such a bummer since when you grow up on the East Coast, there is one located on just about every block. Thankfully one just opened up not too far from home - Score! Located on South Winchester Blvd. - Be warned ahead of time - This location is jammed packed and you are in for a heck of a wait! The MA girl in me waiting in line for Munchkins will tell you that the wait is worth it {but also the reason I had to knock off a star}. It's just a bit slow and there is usually a drive-thru line around the blocks corner. My obsession with Dunkin stems back from growing up - It was always a Sunday tradition to go to the local Dunkin Donuts for breakfast - We'd hit the drive thru and then watch cartoons and/or football as a family. It's those little things that you hold close to the heart and DD holds that special place in my heart {and we may or may not have had a few Munchkin fights growing up}. The team at this location is great {albeit a little slow, but given the long line, I get it}. They are very welcoming while placing your order and super friendly while pulling up to the window - Please note** - Be sure to put on your mask when pulling up to the window - If they can do it for an entire shift, you can do it for the 8.5 seconds you'll be at the window. The last time I visited, I ordered a French Vanilla Coffee w/ Cream and Sugar {I know, I'm not a big coffee person but was craving my go-to as a teen before I hit my shift at the Outlet Mall.. HA!} - It came out as Iced rather than Hot and the team was so willing to re-make the drink I requested.. No worries though, I took it Iced and thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you for offering to re-make the drink Team DD! For the menu - There is nothing like a good ol' Dunkin Donuts Donut! I try not to get donuts too often and consider it a treat but here are a few of my faves: Boston Kreme, Blueberry Cake, Strawberry Frosted w/ Sprinkles, Toasted Coconut or a Plain Glazed! You also can't go wrong with Munchkins {or "Donut Holes" depending on where you live} - Get the variety pack {in increments of 10, 25 or 50} so that you can try an assortment of everything! They also have a fantastic assortment of Bagels, Muffins and Breakfast Sammies {and you can not go wrong with a Sausage, Egg and Cheese on a Croissant}. If I'm craving a Coffee, my go-to order is listed above but I also love the Sweet Iced Tea {Half Sweetened}. Packaged Teas, Coffees and K-Cups are also available for purchase so you can get your DD cravings in at home. Tip - Sign up for the DD Perks - $1 = 5 points / for every 500 points, you earn yourself a FREE beverage! If you love Dunkin' - Word is that they are dropping Merch just in time for the Holidays!

Yelp
Im glad they opened this Dunkin in this area. This is the second Dunkin location in the area and I prefer this one than the other one. Customer service here is the best and they are always so friendly. You can't go wrong with what you order since it is all good. They always have all the donut flavors in stock, service is also fast here. The downside is the line of the drive-thru can get long due to it not being a big location but it goes by fast and is worth it. You can also order ahead and just pick up. Parking is also hard here to since if you park in their lot you can get stuck due to the parking spots being very close to the drive thru line!

Kevin O.

Yelp
We went there for bagels and coffees. I specifically ordered 3 cinnamon raisin bagels toasted with cream cheese. They gave us not toasted. When I told them they replaced my order but still not toasted and gave me this attitude look. I'm very disappointed with their service.

Yelp
I went opening weekend and again yesterday. I love DD back in the east coast and it reminds me of home. The ice coffee and the frozen coffee tastes exactly the same. The MUNCHKINS ( DON'T YOU DARE CARE THEM DOUGHNUT HOLES !!!) are perfect. There is a lot of sugar in this meal and I was definitely sugar high after this, But my kids and I love them. It's a great start to your morning, or afternoon, or evening. I haven't tried the sandwiches here yet but If they are like everywhere else, it's an easy breakfast option if your on the go. Best part is the drive thru! I ordered and paid via the app and got my stuff quick.

Yelp
Honestly, I have no idea what the hype is all about- perhaps it's the coffee but it's not the doughnuts. My hubby and I got the strawberry dragonfruit refresher and really loved the flavors in the drink. It was very tropical and refreshing at the same time. We also tried the Peach Passionfruit and that had a really nice peach flavor. Both refreshers are perfect for those hot summer days! We also ordered a plain glazed donut and found it to be dry and very ordinary. It was below average and definitely a miss. Overall, I would only come back for the refreshers. The donuts are a no go for me!

Yelp
I didn't even know there was a Dunkin location here but stopped by to pick up the Ghost Pepper Donut because why not? There were a couple cars ahead of us in the drive thru but the line moved pretty fast for a weekday afternoon. On my first visit they were sold out so I didn't get anything. On my second visit they had the donuts so I ordered a couple and an iced caramel coffee. The ghost pepper donut was interesting. It looks like the pink donut from the Simpsons. You take a bite and can feel the spicy kick and then it's gone and it taste sweet. It's not a donut I would pair with my coffee on the daily that's why I also ordered a chocolate sprinkle donut. The donuts overall have that donut aftertaste that I don't enjoy so I probably won't be getting donuts from here. The iced coffee tasted very watered down. I didn't enjoy it. The service was good. The cashier was friendly. The line moves fast at the drive thru. The parking lot is tight so I can see it being difficult to pull out of a parking spot if there are cars in the drive thru lane. The menu has a lot of different items so I'm open to exploring it in the future.

Yelp
SO excited to hear that they opened a Dunkin', but the downside was with the quality of my order ::sad face:: The first time I ordered coffee, everything was so sweet it really tasted like brown water. Ok, so I learned. But that's not why I gave them two stars. I give them two stars because this second time around, I get the coffee (I learned and got less cream and less amounts of flavored pumps!), ordered donuts, they said they had the types of do just I wanted, then they said they didn't, then they asked what donuts I wanted instead, then then gave me the wrong donuts, and then when they threw the donuts in the bag it looked like this! See picture. Clearly the donuts were maybe still hot? Or the frosting did not yet solidify? Regardless, now I have one huge creme filled maple long john donut 'cause I can't pull them apart. Now, I know this is simply a quick drop-in place to get donuts and coffee, but I think it just could have been better. I'll definitely come back in a few months after they work out some of their kinks. Still, glad to have one in the area!

Yelp
Maybe it's my fault for opting not to go with a donut when it is literally in their name (or at least used to be), but I tried the Sausage Egg and Cheese Croissant and it was incredibly underwhelming. I typically enjoy the occasional fast food breakfast sandwich from McDonald's or Starbucks, etc. but unfortunately Dunkin' doesn't quite hit that same mark. The egg didn't seem to be fully heated through or perhaps just too old, and the croissant itself was thick and doughy, almost to the point of being undercooked. For the first time I can remember I didn't end up finishing my breakfast and decided to just chuck the rest after getting about halfway through. I would hope that given their reputation, their donuts and coffee are significantly better because this breakfast sandwich just didn't cut it.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with the taste of the food we ordered. We had tried Dunkin in New York and Las Vegas before and did not like their donuts at all. Maybe since this location just opened and they're so busy the donuts are fresher because they keep making them to keep up. Today I mobile ordered for walk in pick up. Good thing because the drive thru line was down the street. I parked on the side street and walked up. There was a sign on the fence that said mobile orders and pointed to the left where the patio seating door was. I tried to open the door but it was locked. However someone came over and asked if I ordered already, went back in and brought my food out already bagged up. Ordered the Apple cider donut holes ($3.49 for 10), sausage egg and cheese breakfast wraps (2 for $3 deal right now) and maple snackin bacon ($2.99). The Apple cider donuts are tasty and have a nice tart apple taste. Sausage breakfast wraps aren't bad for $1.50 each, there's half a sausage patty, egg and cheese in a tortilla. The maple bacon is crispy and you can taste the maple but a bit pricey. Would probably come back for other deals. I do want to try their pumpkin donuts and pumpkin coffee. Didn't see any Grand Opening deals yet.

Jarrid T.

Yelp
Ordered PLAIN mini bagels and received EVERYTHING mini bagels. This happens once a week at this location. Free points whenever they fuck up. Can't post zero star reviews so they scammed me out of one star. No one answers the phone here so god forbid you drive all the way home before realizing they're idiots.

Yelp
Stopped by to pickup a 10 count munchkins box as a Halloween surprise for hubby. I got the surprise as they were so STALE and the assorted were 6 chocolate, 4 glazed and 3 powdered sugar. Thanks for the 13 smashed into the box, the lack of variety and the staleness that no amount of milk could help. So disappointed.

Yelp
Dunkin Donuts has hands down the best tasting cold brew coffee. I don't know how they do it, but it just has a unique flavor that Starbucks lacks in their cold drinks (no hate to Starbucks, of course!). They have such a wide variety of flavors you can add to your coffee, however I am a plain Jane and I enjoy a vanilla iced coffee and sometimes with a little blueberry. Definitely an interesting but flavorful combo.

Yelp
This is my second time ordering something here... and let me just say that I should have learned the first time. I'm not sure why the line is usually down the block? What's the big hype? Ordered two sausage egg and cheese croissants 6 donuts Nitro cold brew Two hot chocolates Sandwiches tasted alright. I love croissants but these two were overly "toasted" (almost burned) and messy. Falling apart. No comment on the donuts since we haven't tried them just yet. They look great though. Nitro cold brew is not a nitro cold brew. It taste and looks like watered down coffee. Hot chocolates taste good. Can't really go wrong with a hot chocolate, right? However, my daughter took off the lid because it felt light, and turned out it wasn't filled to the top. Will not be going out of my way to visit another Dunkin. Disappointing.

Yelp
Open during pandemic. Parking lot available for mobile pick up. I just got to the drive thru line. Waited about 15 mins to order. Tried the new blueberry matcha latte and matcha donut, around 7$ The drink was refreshing, very milky with hint of blueberry. Donut was typical, not very strong in matcha. It was nice to experience Dunkin expanding their flavors so I definitely have to support that!

Yelp
I've been to multiple DD locations and I think this is the best one in the area. Their coffee is on tap and the difference in taste and quality compared to other locations is like night and day. The staff is always friendly whether it's the beginning of the day or near closing. I never wanna go to another DD location unless their coffee is on tap now

Yelp
I'm SUPER happy there's now a Dunkin in SJ. This brings me back so many memories from Boston. The customer service is great and they are doing the best they can with opening right in the middle of a pandemic. I discovered this location through Tmobile Tuesday and the cashiers knew exactly what to do in redeeming the offer. They didn't judge or try to upsell me when I only wanted to spend only up to the gift card amount. -1 star for an unclear menu. There are many items that are priced at "2 for...", but there's no individual price. It made ordering trickier. I would also appreciate some value items on the menu as well. I found the place to be more expensive than what I remembered from before in other places.

Yelp
Giving 4 stars because I like their donuts. Their donuts are mostly cake donuts so don't expect the typical Krispy Kreme or the Asian donuts. I grew up eating Dunkin so there's always that spot for me. Drive thru is awesome esp now with the SIP restrictions. Their bfast sandwich aren't bad but I find it a tad expensive. Drive thru service was pretty quick, the ladies who helped us were nice.

Yelp
Stopped by to try out this location for the first time. I placed a mobile pick up order via the DD app and it was super easy. Since I had not been to a DD in awhile, I decided to try a variety of donuts and the Apple fritter. I enjoyed the Apple fritter but the donuts tasted a bit on the dry side...Four stars on the ease of the app and pick up was a breeze. My order was ready within minutes of placing it on the app and it was accurate. Hoping to try other items on their menu, but regarding the donuts - I've definitely had better from the local mom and pop shops in SJ. When I visited today, they were only open for drive-thru or mobile order pick up.

Yelp
So glad they opened up a Dunkin closeby! The drive through does get pretty crowded (cars stopped in the car right lane because of the wait) - really depends when you get there! We were lucky to come closer to opening in the morning and just beat the rush. I personally like Dunkins donuts better than Krispy Kreme / other alternatives in the area because it isn't overwhelmingly sweet (well, for a donut). They can do a variety of donuts in the box. And don't forget to get the dunkin coffee! Only unfortunate thing is that they don't have the types of donuts on their drive through menu?? So we just asked them to put random donuts. Came out with a good variety though!

Yelp
I don't know why I always think Dunkin will be better than the last time. They haven't been good since I was a kid. Just got a half dozen donuts from DoorDash and not only did they get two out of the six I ordered correct, they don't taste good. I think this will actually be my last time trying and going for quality...they will never be as good as some of the family owned donut places in the Bay Area.

Yelp
This was a five star Dunkin' Donuts experience. Seriously - if you want Philz coffee or stan's donuts quality then don't come here. This is cheap coffee and cheap donuts but it's great for what it is. I went the week it opened and the drive thru line was backed up onto Winchester. I pulled into parking spot on the street and ordered on the mobile app. By the time I walked to the door to pick it up it was ready. If you set your expectations for a three star experience it will be a five star experience

Yelp
The last time I came to this Dunkin' location, I wasn't disappointed -- this time was different. As shown in this photo, my gf and I both had an order of hash browns but there were literally 5 pieces in the small bag which wasn't even halfway full. We ordered the Snackin' Bacon as well but the consistency of fully cooked, crisp, longer strips of whole hearty pieces was non-existent. They were also out of the strawberry flavor coconut milk drink but I opted for the backup as peach, since there were only two other choices, which wasn't too bad for a Sunday morning. Bottom line here is that I felt the portion size was skimped & the quality/consistency was inadequate.

Yelp
This place is poorly run and unprofessional. Ordered a bunch of things via Doordash and my "sealed" order included only half of them. The Dasher was made to wait 40 freaking minutes for this terrible ordeal. And then the order was soaked wet in the drink because none of the drinks were sealed or even the lids shut properly. Not even straws for the drink. Oh it's all "sealed" so not like the delivery person can check anything... I doubt a heartless, multinational predatory business owned by Baskin Robbins cares much for customer feedback but this reinforces to me the need to support small businesses and not spend money on these terrible "chains" that care no more than a flying duck for customers.

Yelp
Our first experience ordering donuts on the drive through and we will likely go back. I didn't know what combination of half dozen donuts we would receive, but it was a real treat. Not sure if this is going to happen all the way through February or not but it was all about the valentines. Various filled heart shapes and lots of pink and chocolate icing. Yummm! The outside menu should be more descriptive but their free coffee coupons from our mailbox made up for it.

Yelp
I reviewed this location not long ago, but I think I got overly excited and need to tone down my review. The spot is simply going from a 5 to 4 star location because I know when the staff is right this is 100% 5-star, but they've gotten enough wrong to make me wonder how often that is. So, my first experience was good, I had ordered and loved the food, it was still warm and fresh and accurate. The next time we went was late (almost-closing) and the cashier was absolutely amazing. I wish I got her name to send a shoutout to this awesome person, because she wowed us. Despite having none of the donuts that we wanted (cause it was late, they were trying to clean up, I get that), she worked with us to find stuff we'd like, then threw in tons of extras since it was going to be thrown out anyway. One vanilla donut? How about 3 more for the same price. A box of 10 chocolate donut holes? (Partly cause it was the only chocolate left), how about I just fill the box for you? Wanna try this limited edition we have left over for free? Like- it was amazing how many donuts we walked away with, but I have one HUGE complaint from that experience... They don't accept tips... Are you kidding me? We just got a crap-ton of free throwaway donuts, with a super polite employee who was probably super annoyed we showed up 10 minutes before closing and we wanted to show our appreciation with a big ole' tip! I get it shouldn't be expected, but come on, she went above and beyond and deserved a little extra $5-10 dollars for the night. Then it kept getting worse... I bragged about the food here, how great the croissant was, how delicious the hash browns are, then had to eat my words when the next time we got burnt croissants and soggy hash browns, not to mention the "Chocolate Donut w/Sprinkles" that arrived with no sprinkles. Such a day and night experience, I hope these are just hiccups and I can later bring my review back up to 5-stars, but you've done me dirty Dunkin' and if THAT had been my first experience, I don't think I'd be so kind with the review. First impressions matter folks, that's why businesses always need to be on top of their game.
