Yelp
I reviewed this location not long ago, but I think I got overly excited and need to tone down my review.
The spot is simply going from a 5 to 4 star location because I know when the staff is right this is 100% 5-star, but they've gotten enough wrong to make me wonder how often that is.
So, my first experience was good, I had ordered and loved the food, it was still warm and fresh and accurate. The next time we went was late (almost-closing) and the cashier was absolutely amazing. I wish I got her name to send a shoutout to this awesome person, because she wowed us. Despite having none of the donuts that we wanted (cause it was late, they were trying to clean up, I get that), she worked with us to find stuff we'd like, then threw in tons of extras since it was going to be thrown out anyway.
One vanilla donut? How about 3 more for the same price. A box of 10 chocolate donut holes? (Partly cause it was the only chocolate left), how about I just fill the box for you? Wanna try this limited edition we have left over for free?
Like- it was amazing how many donuts we walked away with, but I have one HUGE complaint from that experience...
They don't accept tips...
Are you kidding me? We just got a crap-ton of free throwaway donuts, with a super polite employee who was probably super annoyed we showed up 10 minutes before closing and we wanted to show our appreciation with a big ole' tip! I get it shouldn't be expected, but come on, she went above and beyond and deserved a little extra $5-10 dollars for the night.
Then it kept getting worse...
I bragged about the food here, how great the croissant was, how delicious the hash browns are, then had to eat my words when the next time we got burnt croissants and soggy hash browns, not to mention the "Chocolate Donut w/Sprinkles" that arrived with no sprinkles. Such a day and night experience, I hope these are just hiccups and I can later bring my review back up to 5-stars, but you've done me dirty Dunkin' and if THAT had been my first experience, I don't think I'd be so kind with the review. First impressions matter folks, that's why businesses always need to be on top of their game.
