"Back in 2014, pastry-and-coffee chain Dunkin’ Donuts announced an ambitious plan to enter the Bay Area market, with 26 stores planned for the San Francisco area and 13 more expected in San Jose. It took two years for its first Bay Area spot to open, and though it’s made moves like a Concord 'store of the future' that opened in 2018, it’s very very far from that 2014 goal, its location finder reveals. In fact, it’s just opened its second location in San Jose at 844 S. Winchester Boulevard, the Bay Area News Group reports, with a (shuttered for now) dining room with a fireplace and TV, and drive-thru that’s opened from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m." - Eve Batey
