Ordered dunwoodie pizza expecting something else due to the neighborhood hype but was let down. Dough is too thick, doesn’t have the proper undercarriage & sauce is a bit tangy, overall it’s ok pizza, 2.5 stars.

Google
Really love Dunewoodie’s!! They have the same quality every time I order! The only thing I’d recommend, especially for those with sensitive teeth, is to have them not cook the pizza for so long because they do tend to cook on the very well done side of things.

Google
Incredibly low prices (18 in chicken bacon full pie for under $20), crisp crust (can be made soft with some microwaving) and good cheese and sauce. Definitely worth the price. Cash only. We had the plain cheese, chicken bacon ranch and veggie ones and all three were good. The crust being hard (for all of them) was something I didn't enjoy much but microwaving the slice, softened it and made it quite enjoyable. Would NOT recommend their fries.

After the Columbus Day parade, walk in to-go order for a large pepperoni pizza, white slice, and garlic knots. Staff friendly. Large Pepperoni Pizza- 15 minutes, was cooked in that time frame. The atmosphere is great. Great drink selection. Pizza and garlic knots tasted delicious. Thank you Dunwoodie Pizzeria staff.

Google
The pizza was wonderful. The service was fast. Would def return if in the area. Was a nice little pizza shop. It was empty when we walked in and within minutes the place was packed. I had the pizza with the cherry peppers and sweet chili sauce. It was so good. The crust is crunch and holds up. Was not soggy at all. I also had a slice of the bbq chicken. It was good but the spicy pizza was better for sure. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch if you are in the area.

Google
Quality pizza with FOUNTAIN DRINKS. I like the thin crunchy crust, the cheese & sauce are good. Plain pizza comes thin and specialty pizzas come with a thicker crust. I assume to hold the extra ingredients. Don’t go there during afterschool hours, the place was packed with junior high catholic school kids.

Google
I live right across the street so I've had their pizza more than any other pizza in my life so I think I can be a pretty good judge of their quality. Classic no frills New York pie. Their pizza is generally pretty good but once in a while you get an overcooked burnt pie. Once I ordered a margherita and instead of using fresh mozzarella they used regular pizza mozzarella. But those occasions are rare. There is a reason I keep ordering from them.

Google
Stopped in for a slice on our way back to Philly I used to live here 20yrs ago and the pizza was outstanding I can see why it’s voted #1 in Wedtchester.

Yelp
First time here overall phenomenal . Food/Drink: Pizza by the slice! Pretty good New York style pizza. Pizza: Great crunch not too much, Very flavorful, good sauce. Dinning Area: Pretty large, open, area. Benches, large counter. Plenty of seating! Prices: Relatively cheap. 2 slice and fountain special for $13! Parking: street parking Bathrooms: didn't use Atmosphere: cool, chill, Italian music, good temp, tv, laughing. Staff/Attendants: staff was great Decent experience...idk maybe one more try! 9.5/10

Yelp
Everything I've eaten here has been fantastic. Whether you're ordering entrées or pizza, the flavors are amazing. They also have Italian ice, including traditional flavors like spumoni absolutely would recommend this place for dinner or lunch.

Yelp
First time. Stopped in and was very impressed by the selections in the pizza case. Everything looked delicious! After deciding on an eggplant slice, a regular slice, a vodka slice and a pepperoni, we headed to a booth. The eggplant slice was excellent! Lots of ricotta yet the crust was very firm and crispy. Vodka sauce was excellent and the pepperoni cups had nice crisp burnt edges. I absolutely loved the regular plain slice though! It was lots of sauce cheesy and crispy Krust. I will definitely be back here!

Yelp
Been coming here for awhile can't get disappointed very delicious owners very welcoming

Yelp
Pizza is pretty large. The dough is a little cardboard like... not the best i've had, but it wasn't bad. The pizza I got had a good amount of cheese and pepperoni, but it was super oily. I've heard good things about the place, so i'll give it another try at some point.

Yelp
Always a fan been coming here since I was little one of my favorite pizza spot. Friendly staff tasty food and quick service.

Yelp
We ordered a plain SMALL pie to go which cost us 16.50 frogs. I'd say the pizza pie was smaller than I anticipated. Which was disappointing. So it was 6 small slices. The positive; the pizza has a delicious flavor with a good mix of mozzarella & tomato. It's more on the OILIER side. If that bothers you, it could be an issue, but it was a non-issue for me. The service was decent. Lots of guys hanging behind the counter. The ambiance is good. Plenty of tables & space to comfortably eat in. Not cheap on the wallet but makes up with a good, freshly prepared taste.

Yelp
Probably the best pizza joint in Yonkers. Thin crispy crust, sauce is delicious, and the pizza with toppings are stacked. Typical pizza joint where you walk in, place your order, grab a table and then go back up yourself and get your order when it's ready. They are cash only but do have an ATM on site.

Yelp
Love this place. I love the location, the building the set up. Has a few seats to stay and eat. Fast service. Friendly people that are working hard. Great selection of food and pizza no matter what kind I try it is amazing. They had so many types of pies, one looked neat had three dif color wavy lines, it was red, green and orange, had red sauce pesto and vodka sauce looked neat. Everyone that came in while we were sitting there asked and tried it and loved it. The menu is huge has meals and wings all kinds of stuff. They had giant garlic knots cut in half with cheese, sauce and chicken cutlets and basil and balsamic glaze making sandwich like thing. Looked so neat. It was huge to. Must try, I drive all way from northern CT to go here if I'm anywhere near CT line I keep going to get a slice def worth it.

Yelp
It makes me sad to write this review. I have been eating from this pizzeria since I was a kid. I went to Grammar school across the street. It WAS one of the top pizzerias in Yonkers. I just ordered a small pie today and I am convinced ownership had to change. What I just purchased was NOT Dunwoodie. Maybe whoever making pies at 5:30pm 3/13/25 was just bad, but I have to rule that out. The reason being is down to the dough it was different. It was absolutely horrible. I'm praying this was an accident. If not sadly, I will never eat from there again.

Yelp
Great tasting pizza! These chicken parm sandwiches they seem to always have are my fav! Italian icee are great too.

Yelp
I'm from Utah and the first thing I do when traveling to the northeast is find a pizza joint. This place hit the spot on every level. I got a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni, garlic knots, and a vanilla coke. Thin crust with perfectly distributed cheese and sauce. The knots had a homemade, doughy consistency to them, slathered in garlic and butter. Delicious. Would love to come back if I'm ever in the area.

Yelp
One of the best pizza places in westchester. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy. This would be my go to if they accepted card, but it's cash only. Still 5/5 for me !

Yelp
Where has this pizza been all my life? Right here in Yonkers for over 50 plus years! I'm born and raised in Mt Vernon and been in Yonkers for over 25 years so there is no excuse why it's taken me this long to eat their delicious thin crusted pizza. I throw my hands up and ask for forgiveness because this really is awesome tasting pizza. The crust is thin, the tomato sauce full flavored with good amounts of melted cheese. Their award for best pizza in Westchester and best pepperoni slice are well deserved. It's so good I'm bringing my Italian American parents on my next visit. Mangiare bene! BTW, cash only bit of you don't have cash they have an ATM onsite.

Lizzie G.

Yelp
The food is always fresh, the customer service is top notch, and it's located on one of the main roads in Yonkers making it quickly accessible from anyone coming off the 87.
google avatar

Lauren J.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place and will definitely be coming back. The staff and patrons are super friendly and nice. So many different slices to choose from. Do yourself a favor and get the spicy square! It was delicious. I also tried the chicken parm slice, which I liked a lot. The Parmesan cheese is kept in the fridge. This place is cash only but they have an ATM with a $2.50 fee.

Yelp
The past couple of orders from dunwoodies have been on the decline but my recent order was the worst yet. It seems as the prices for these pies are getting more expensive, the quality of the food is declining. Maybe it was a bad day? Who knows. This was my final order. Take care.

Yelp
One of my go to spots for pizza and take out. They have very good pizza, wings and other selections. They also are known for their sicilian pizza and their fried calzone which is a must try. Always satisfied everytime.
google avatar

Keith S.

Yelp
One of the best spots anywhere in Yonkers for sure. Food quality is top notch and the service is very friendly. They have been there forever and are well known. Their pizza speaks for itself. Definitely a must try when you are in the area.

Yelp
Amazing Pizza, hero sandwiches, everything over the top DELICIOUS!! Dunwoodie Pizza is a MUST visit if you are in Yonkers!

Yelp
Typical size for a pizzeria. Plenty of street parking. Ordered a bunch of individual slices because no one could agree on a pie. Plain, sausage, pepperoni, and a Sicilian slice. My favorite was definitely the Sicilian. The crust was buttery, crispy but soft with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. The pepperoni was also good and the plain was plain. Also got a side of meatballs which came 2 to an order with a side of bread. The meatballs are huge, about the size of a softball each. Very moist and flavorful and didn't taste of filler. The sauce was also nicely balanced. The Tirimisu was just okay. I've had better. Had very little cookie and was mostly mousse. Not sure if it's made in house but I doubt it. Good place to grab a slice and probably a dish. Oh yea..... cash ONLY.

Yelp
Ok so I like pisas fine but it's not really something o want to eat often or really specifically go to do. It's usually a fast food grab when there's little time. But man oh man! We stopped here at the request of a teen who wanted pizza for dinner and it was his day. We ordered a pie with half cheese and half pepperoni and it was Ah Ma Zing!!! Perfect thin crust, amazing ratio of cheese and sauce and the crispiness of the end crust was just delicious. Don't hesitate to get dinner there, they had pasta and sandwiches and salad options and we will have to try those next time. It was busy for dinner and diners ordered many things besides pizza. Highly recommend! Cash only !!

Yelp
Good pizzerias are getting harder to find as are pizzerias that have been around so long, that they are basically a landmark. I moved to the general area in the late 70's and this place was there and my go-to pizzeria. I wasn't sure exactly how long they have been around until their box and menus did the work for me - it's been 50 years this actual year. That really says something as plenty of pizzerias have not lasted this long. I haven't been here for many years - probably almost 2 decades - but inside generally looks the same with some minor cosmetic changes. It has the old school look of what a pizzeria is supposed to look like, but looks modern enough without appearing dated. There is a good enough drink selection and the items behind the glass look good. The menu is pretty varied and deep, from pizza of course to dinners, which I personally have yet to try. Everyone's tastes or opinions on what a good slice is differs, but in here it's on the good side. Personally for me, it's not the "best pizza in Yonkers" - but again, everyone has different tastes. But if you like good pizza, then this is a place you should consider. A major weakness for me here is they accept only cash. In a world when more people carry cards, this is not the best option. I ordered on a whim and didn't expect that, so I had to use the 3rd party ATM they had in there and it cost me an additional $2.50 just to pay for my order. I don't always have cash on me for whatever reason and if I'm passing by and wanting something from here and I don't have cash, I'd now know to pass it by for the next establishment that does take cards. I do know that I won't use a 3rd party ATM again, so I'll only think to come here if I have cash on me. Yes, a small thing, but it's also important to have options. Staff that I encountered were friendly. Street parking is metered in front on Yonkers Avenue, except on Sundays. All in all, a nice place to eat in or take out. A good pizza option from a place that has history and one of the few places left with that history that is still left standing in the area.

Yelp
Great pizza prices are wonderful I love it that is still kept the same look. We've been going there for many years. Try the tricolor grandma you will not regret it

Yelp
Had a slice. Delicious Chicken parm hero. Delicious Plenty of parking Clean No complaints
google avatar

Heather C.

Yelp
Stopped in to grab a slice quick. Tables were blocked off for social distancing. I ordered a pepperoni slice and took it to go. When I ate it at home it was hands down the best pepperoni slice Ive ever had. The crispness of the crust was perfect. I didn't realize they were cash only but its good to know since most people don't carry cash.
google avatar

Yelp
Saw that Pres came here and I happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped by. Got the Sicilian with pepperoni. It was very good. Sauce had a little tang and loaded with pepperoni. Very good slice of pizza
google avatar

JAson W.

Yelp
Place has the best spicy pepperoni squares ever. Service was fantastic and restaurant was nice. Best pizza I ever had!!!

Yelp
This is the last time that I will purchase pizza from this place. "Something" is going on here. What that "something" is, I am not sure. The pizza tastes off, I don't know what they are doing, but it's very bland. The crunch is there, but the taste is gone. I don't see anyone resembling an owner inside of the establishment. Multiple tables had crumbs on them. Hello, this is pizzeria 101, wipe the damn tables when people are done eating. Goodbye and good riddance.

Yelp
Real NY pizza just like when we where growing up! Do the plain its nice and crispy on the bottom!

Debra T.

Yelp
A must try ! In addition to great pizza, so creative with their Italian entrees. Service is the best.

Yelp
Foods amazing and that garlic bread- oml sooooo good!! I totally recommend it go and try it what you waiting for?!
google avatar

Yelp
Ever since they were named, "Westchester's Favourite Pizza", last year, hubby and I were dying to try a slice. We've ordered from them quite a few times. I don't believe they deliver to us but hubby has ordered our pizzas to pick up on his way home after work. No matter the combination of toppings, we've always been satisfied with the quality and flavour of their pizzas. My go-to during pregnancy was a half shroom/half sausage pie. They're definitely up there as one of our regular pizza spots.
google avatar

Andrew Y.

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza spot in Yonkers! While other places experience an inevitable decline in quality, Dunwoodie seems to get better and better!

Kenna R.

Yelp
Was in town visiting family and had to try a Dunwoodie pie. Was not disappointed. Delicious and just the pie I needed while in NY!!!
google avatar

Mrs. Marina S.

Yelp
The pizza is okay/good. Most of the stuff under the counter was slightly burnt and the smell permeated the place. The cheese was more of a cheese/sauce mix. It was a red hue. Not the classic cheese pull with each bite. The crust was over done and more like bread sticks. The underneath side of the slice was cooked well. Going off of a pizza perspective only, there's other options within walking distance of this place to try.

T M.

Yelp
I order here occasionally and the pizza is good. The problem I have is the sauce. I gotva chicken parm wedge and it was cooked perfectly and was a nice portion but there was barely any sauce on it. I got a sicilian slice and the dough was perfect but there was hardly any sauce on it. The reason I prefer Roma and Raceway (closed now and I cried because it was the best and so was Louie) is because their sauce is so good. Everyone uses the same cheese but the sauce is what separates great pizza from good pizza. Stop being cheap with the sauce.
google avatar

Billy B.

Yelp
The freshness of the Spicy Square pizza was unmatched! Easily one of the best pizzas I've had in years. I'm very very picky when it comes to my pizza, and this was perfect. You could taste the high quality of the tomatoes and could see the big chunks of garlic in the sauce. What I appreciated most was they let the freshness of the ingredients shine rather than over seasoning. I have a high tolerance for spice level and that was also perfect. It left the perfect burn that was addictive and made it so hard not to keep going back for another slice. Will definitely be ordering many pies from here going forward!
google avatar

Marc K.

Yelp
This is only for the pictured slice. Seemed it out after seeing it mentioned in Westchester magazine. The pepperoni reminded me of the pepperoni they use for most pizzas In Buffalo NY which is a very good thing. Tasty slice that's for sure! Friendly counter service too.
google avatar

Rob G.

Yelp
Not great pizza. It may fly outside of the NYC area, but it's only just ok here. Not a lot of flavor and needed salt just to taste something. The crust underneath and on the edge was extremely chewy, rubbery and tough. It's a slice I just didn't look forward to eating more of. It's definitely not bad...just eh. Service was friendly, quick and accurate. So props for that.

Terry H.

Yelp
Not different enough to go back again. Tastes like several others we get - but they're closer. It was a little dry also. I don't think the staff had any original members - accents weren't Italian. Maybe it was bought out by new owners?
google avatar

Tiffany G.

Yelp
This was my first time going here . Prices were good, the service was pleasant and sincere and the pizza was flavorful, fresh, hot and crisp . I will be returning without a question . Cozy atmosphere as well . Good job .

Omar V.

Yelp
Ate there for first time today. I bought a large cheese pie it was very good. Will definitely go back and try something different. It's a nice neighborhood pizzaria with a few booths to sit and eat.

W. A.

Yelp
DHHHHHAAAAAAMMMNNN !! This place! This place!! Thai Chili with Cherry peppers! Get in my mouth. Veggie don't plant a garden, get it here! Chicken parm pizza, don't tell Noni you love it. Deep dish soft and perfect just like your belly. Seriously we threw a stone and it landed here and so should you!!
google avatar

Karla G.

Yelp
We had a pretty bad delivery by a DoorDash driver tonight. All the toppings slid off the pizza completely. I called and they fixed the issue immediately. The staff there is always incredibly nice and hospitable. Their pizza is the best in town!! thank you Dunwoodie!!

Eunice L.

Yelp
Best pizza ever. just wish they took debit cards or st least Apple Pay. They also have really good pastas and everyone treat you as family
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
The mayor of Yonkers visited our hospital and brought delicious pizza from Dunwoodie! I loved their slices here - the crust was thin and crisp and it was generously covered with pepperoni.

Maxine N.

Yelp
The food we had delivered was inedible tonight! The Sicilian slice was stale and obviously reheated from a pie that had been left out for hours. The calzone was completely mushy and bland with a flat crust that was like a sponge. When I called the restaurant, they gaslit me by saying that the food was made fresh and perfect. We had to throw the food out and order dinner from another restaurant!
google avatar

Wafi A.

Yelp
I've only ever ordered this for delivery. And let me tell you one of the best pizzas. Love the super thin crust option. It's so crispy and like perfect. The sauce isn't too sweet. Hands down one of the best
