"The halal cart on the corner of Church and McDonald Avenues is one of the best in NYC, mostly because of the bright red, tandoori-style marinade used on the chicken, which is spicier than most (the lamb is also excellent). A chicken pita is only $5, making it the best value in the neighborhood for lunch or dinner. The flavor varies a little depending on who is on the grill, and that’s one of the things we love about this spot." - Carina Finn

THE BEST RESTAURANT IN NEW YORK!! This is coming from someone with very high taste buds. Their food is mind blowing and wonderful!! Uzbeki Pulao is out of this world. We go here almost every week and I bring my friends here all the time!! MUST VISIT!!

Came here on a whim, and so happy we did! The service and staff were great. The food is so flavorful and everything was perfectly cooked. Can’t forget to specifically mention the beef Kabab’s which were amazing with their in house specialty sauces! Can’t wait to go again!

Hey everyone, I visited this Afghan restaurant today, and I have to say, the food was amazing! The Mantu (Afghan dumplings) was incredibly flavorful and truly authentic. The kebab was juicy and perfectly cooked, something I haven't found at any other Afghan restaurant in New York City. The lamb shank was tender, cooked to perfection, and full of rich flavor. What I also appreciated was the affordable pricing for such high-quality dishes. I’ll definitely be coming back to visit again! If you're craving real Afghan food, this place is definitely worth checking out!

Overall good food, no complaints. Friendly staff. Costs are fine as well. Samosas could use a little more meat. The lamb shank was delicious and very filling. The rice dishes could use a little more rice since it wasn't enough for one person. Had to order a little more rice.

Review: 5/5 Stars I recently visited Dunya Kabab House for the first time, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance of the place is warm and inviting, making it perfect for a casual meal with friends or family. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. I opted for the shrimp kebabs, and they were cooked to perfection – juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. My friend had the chicken kebabs, which were equally delightful, tender, and full of rich, aromatic spices. The portion sizes were generous, and we both left feeling very satisfied. In terms of pricing, Dunya Kabab House offers great value for money. The prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes. It's definitely a place where you can enjoy a hearty, delicious meal without breaking the bank. Overall, Dunya Kabab House exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious kebabs and a pleasant dining experience. I will certainly be returning to try more items from their menu!

My husband and I absolutely loved our experience at Dunya Kabab House. The people were warm and welcoming and the food was incredible, the flavors!! I cannot get over how perfectly flavorful everything was. It was our first time eating Afghan food and now we’re hooked! We will be regulars! Thank you for such a great cultural and food experience!!

Yelp
this is my favorite afghan restaurant in nyc!! the show stopping dish is the pumpkin bolani - it's the perfect ratio of sweet/savory and sooo crispy. also highly recommend the mantu, kabuli palao, and any of the kababs. the meat is so tender and the rice is jampacked with flavor. chefs kiss. service is very speedy and staff is very kind, always offering us complimentary items. would rate it a 7 out of 5 if i could!

Yelp
I went on a Wednesday night with 3 friends, and the place was pretty empty except for a group of elderly Middle Eastern men. Smooth jazz was playing (which I thought was a bit incongruous), and the ambiance was calm, well lit and brightly colored. The food was fabulous: I got the Uzbeki Qabuli Pulao, and my friends got a variety of other dumplings, kabobs and platters. The meat was juicy and fall-off-the-bone tender, and the rice, carrots and sweet raisins were also well-seasoned and flavorful, instead of just being sides. Afterwards, they comped the two teas that we got, which was such a gracious move. This place is out of the way for me, but I would certainly go again!

Yelp
Place feels very authentic and service was ok. We got a few apps, the naan and 2 kabab meals. The hummus was pretty bland, though worked well with the hot sauce provided. The afghan naan was super hot, but hardened very quickly and after 5-10 minutes it was like a very dry toast The mandu was delightful, the best bite of the night. The dark chicken kababs were OK, nothing special, and the lamb kababs were a bit on the tough side. And hard to eat as no knives are provided For us was decent but def not worth the hype the other reviews seem to imply

Yelp
The vegetarian sampler is delicious. The rice is rich without feeling greasy. The eggplant is decadent, and the spinach is perfectly cooked. The okra is surprisingly flavorful. Without being spicy (hot) or overly salted, this is a meal that tastes as amazing as it smells. Eat here with kindly, attentive service, or order to go. This is mostly a meat restaurant, but it's still worth it for vegetarians. Oh, and leave some room for the rice pudding!

Yelp
I travelled from California to New York last week and went to Dunya Kabob House for some authentic Afghan Food. It is the most amazing afghan food I've had! We ordered a bunch of things from the menu to try like the Lamb Chop, Lamb Shank, Chabli Kabob, Kabli Palow, and Bulanee. The food was excellent!! The sauces on the side were tasty too. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It's so clean on the inside and feels like home. The prices are reasonable with the perfect portions. And the service was outstanding!! We were able to meet the owner who was so genuine and nice. High quality food and high quality service! I can't wait to go to New York again to eat here. It will definitely be a stop I make every time I go :)

Yelp
Afghan is one of my favorite cuisines and Dunya is where I come back to whenever I am craving kababs, bolani, mantu, or any of the amazing dishes they serve here. Despite having several solid options for Afghan in Queens, I will absolutely give this establishment the nod as the best of the best and go out of my way to eat here. The food is very well made and each bite from the beginning to the end is worth savoring. The pumpkin bolani is one of my most favorite items on the menu and I can never get enough, and their mantu is very filling and delicious. Their kababs are very flavorful, succulent and tender, and the Uzbeki Qabuli Palau is a must! The food is filling but I would definitely save room for dessert and Afghan tea! The ferni, rice pudding, and baklava are all very good and worth sharing. The service here is wonderful and the staff work hard to make sure customers are provided for; it's not a white table cloth experience so you have to do your part and be understanding of the pace of things considering it can get very busy for them with diners and delivery orders piling up constantly. The space is casual but welcoming and I appreciate the homage paid to the beautiful landscape and culture of Afghanistan with various murals and decorations. The land, people, and food of Afghanistan are very beautiful and it's a privilege to share in the love this establishment espouses.

Yelp
Despite some heightened tensions, this restaurant provides very good food. It might be better for takeout though, which is a shame because I think this a cuisine that tastes great to eat indoors. Everything tasted great. The lamb shank is amazing. The meat just falls off the bone, and is tender and delicious. It comes with rice and salad, but for a little extra you can get a Qabuli Pulao, a pilaf rice with sweet raisins and julienned carrots. Do that. It is terrific. You get plenty of it as well. I also got a Lentil soup that was generous and delicious as well. The side salad is par for the course. The heightened tensions came in the form of a misunderstanding. I told them I wanted to stay in but they packed it up like I wanted takeout. I insisted I wanted dine-in; they relented and took the bag and plated everything up nicely. Then they gave me some free bread as an apology for the mixup. The bread is nothing great, unfortunately. I will dock a point or so for lack of a free water option. I hate that. I should never have to pay for water in a sit down restaurant. It is tacky. Even if they do not, a complementary tea would work too. It just seems this restaurant favors takeout, which again, is a shame considering I liked the food. The staff were friendly as well despite the mishap. I cannot say whether I will be back, but I can say that the food is good and worth stopping in for if you want a hearty meal.

Yelp
I can't recommend Dunya enough if you're in or around Kensington. The mantu is a must, and if you have a group of at least 3-4, I recommend ordering multiple servings because everyone will gobble these dumplings up. They're so comforting and delicious, filled with ground beef and doused in lamb gravy and yogurt sauce (or you can get a vegetarian version). The Afghan salad, a refreshing lemony mix of tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions, is a great side dish to get your veggies in. For heftier entrees, it's impossible to go wrong with any of the kababs. I've had the salmon, the boneless chicken thigh, the boneless chicken breast, and the lamb. The meats are all perfectly seasoned and juicy. moist and juicy and flavorful meats, complemented by the rice and sweetness of carrots and raisins. I also recommend using a liberal amount of the sauces they provide. The cilantro chutney's my favorite, but the red sauce and yogurt sauce are also tasty. If you're in the mood for tea, $4 will yield a shareable teapot. I'm also partial to the doogh, a refreshing and savory yogurt drink. And on my most recent visit, our waiter was so nice and gave the four of us a complimentary firnee, a custard made with sweet milk, cinnamon, rose water, and cardamom. It was delicious, creamy with a gingery zing. Even though our bellies were full to the brim, we couldn't let this go to waste.

Yelp
Great spot! Worth the trip! Clean, inviting interior. Simple decor and nice art on wall. Kind and helpful server. Very interesting and wide ranging menu. Sides of sauces were fresh, flavorful and zesty. The salad was crisp, cold and ever so lightly dressed with herbs. Even the lemon I asked for to accompany my water was a generous portion of half a lemon, thinly sliced. Nice! Not wanting to miss out and not really knowing what I wanted I ordered the mixed kabob. Pieces of lamb, chicken and beef kefta. Wonderful meal. Just a bit on pricey side but worth it. Great spot to get to. Come out to Brooklyn!

Yelp
Tl;dr: What an exceptional meal! So much flavor and depth in the food. Dunya is certainly a restaurant that you should put high on your to-try list. Long Winded Version: Food: 10/5 The food is amazing. All the dishes bring bold flavors and pleasing hints of spices to your mouth for all your tastebuds to enjoy. Dunya really opened my eyes (and stomach) to how delicious and comforting Afghan food is. I've tried the lamb shank and definitely recommend this as a must have. The mixed meats plate is also solid. Location: 2.5/5 It's on the automotive services side of Coney Island. Less scenic, more industrial. But that's good. For me. I live close and love that I get to enjoy it. Alas, if you're commuting there, there's a bus but not much more. I'd opt to drive there if you're not in walking distance. In closing, the location is meh, but the journey is so well worth it. Atmosphere / Ambiance: 3.5/5 It's humble, chill and casual. No thrills would be the best short description but the restaurant is clean, bright and provides an atmosphere you can be relaxed in and enjoy some great food. Dress comfortable and enjoy breaking bread amongst peoples from varying ethnicities. Quality: 5/5 The food is fresh and delivered to the table nice and hot. You can taste the quality in the meats and sauces. Value: 5/5 A meal here won't break the bank. The portions are generous and you'll leave extremely satisfied. Special Shout Out to fellow Yelper!, foodie extraordinaire and just all around dope human being Danesh I. for treating my partner and I to dinner her. We ordered from here beforehand and it was amazing - dinning in and your company was even better!

lekha s.

Yelp
It was 3.5 stars. I thought Brooklyn will have best kebabs but I have had better kebab in queens n Nhp. The food was good and medium level flavor. The family platter and was big enough for 3-4 people .

Yelp
On this quiet stretch of urban sprawl that is Coney Island Avenue, tucked between tire shops and gas stations is this homey Afghan restaurant. It's filled at all hours of the day with families chowing down on hearty, delicious dishes made with soul and after both of my meals here I was already planning my next visit. I like to start my meal here with some bolani, a fried flatbread stuffed with pumpkin, leeks, or meat. They have an assorted platter filled with all of the above, and the exterior is crispy and goes really well with the yogurt sauce they offer on the side. Alternatively or as a complement to this dish it's nice to start with some of their thin skinned dumplings, called manti, which remind me of wontons except theirs are filled with ground lamb, beef, or chicken. Dumplings are present in so many different cuisines and as someone who grew up eating Chinese dumplings I love the familiarity and simultaneous newness of Afghan manti. For my main, I enjoy their salmon, cooked to perfection on a grill and arrives with a smoky char and impeccably cooked interior. It's served on a bed of their buttery, pillow Afghan rice (pulao), which has caramelized slivers of carrots and raisins, giving the rice a nice added sweetness. All the while I'm enjoying bites of their fresh salad, with diced cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, carrots, and aromatics. I also recommend their lentil soup, which is so soothing, full of flavor, and completely vegetarian. If you have a sweet tooth their firni is a rosewater rice pudding that doesn't feel too rich or heavy. The owner, Mo, is always on site and has so much passion for hospitality and telling a story through his food. Please support this local business so they can continue to host so many diners with love, care, and food that feels like home.

Yelp
Hi, possibly some of the best Middle Eastern food that you can get the lamb shank was incredible as was the rice. They gave me a complementary dessert for being a loyal patron. I ordered tons of lentil soup which the kids absolutely inhaled and the seasoned rice that they serve isdelightful the shish kebab was delicious as well. We got a mixture of lamb chops. Chicken and beef were served tender flavorful, and juicy highly recommend the spot.

Fahd A.

Yelp
Very good place for kababs and naan. I also had a few different bolani and each one was tasty! It's clean and very efficient staff. I'm never disappointed with my order

Sam S.

Yelp
Got two appetizers (the meat dumplings and the scallion ones) the salad and lamb kebab. It was just enough for two. Everything was great. My guess from reading reviews is you can't really go wrong. The meat dumplings were more delicate than expected and had a great mix of flavors, the lamb was simple but more tender than average, like they gave it a nice marinade. I'd get takeout here regularly if I lived nearby.

Benjamin B.

Yelp
Simple spot for Afghani food in Flatbush. Seasoning is great here and all the food we got was quite flavorful. Meat however was all a bit overdone. Char on the kebab was good but was a bit dry in the center. The lamb korma chalao is basically lamb stewed in an intensely spiced tomato sauce. Not at all like the more common Indian korma curry but really big on flavor, again meat was overdone though. Rice here is cooked quite nicely and getting the Qabali option gives you a nice topping of sauteed carrots and raison, I'd say go for it. The mantu are delicately wrapped although I wish the galric mint yogurt sauce was a bit more intense, was a nice little contrast of hot savory dumpling and refreshing sauce though. Dishes came with a pretty forgettable salad although I guess you can dress it to your heart's content so that's something. Tables come with a red chili sauce and a green chili sauce. The green sauce is super bright and the red is more of a standard chili sauce, I didn't really think either were necessary but I did like the flavor of both. We also got some rice pudding which was a creamy, not too heavy affair. Not super indulgent but something you could have every day. I can't say I would ever come by specifically for this place but I do think it does a wondrous job of feeding the local community and providing the flavors of Afghanistan to the area. Decor itself is a bit hole in the wall-y, if you expect a spotless establishment this isn't for you. Service was very warm and welcoming.

Marie S.

Yelp
Great Afghan restaurant! Brooklyn has some amazing food and it's only getting better. Dunya Kabab House has delicious food and generous portions; the people who work there are very polite and professional. The Afghan white sauce is amazing, wish they sold it by the bottle. The green sauce is delicious too and goes well with the kababs. I tried 1) The salmon kabab. Included nice large fish pieces and deliciously seasoned rice. 2) The Mantu dumplings, vegan option. It comes with lamb gravy but they also offer a vegan version. Tasty and filling. 3) A simple salad, but the white sauce really adds flavor. If you're tired of the same old salad, suggest trying it with their sauce. 4) Firnee for dessert. This sweet yet light custard with cinnamon, rose water and cardamom is one of my favorites. I've tried many different versions over the years and this has to be one of the best yet. It was very filling, I had it with some tea. I'm glad I chose this instead of the usual baklava, although I'm sure that's great too. I enjoyed the food so much that I called the restaurant to thank them! Giving a five star review is easy. Happy I found it, thanks to Yelp & the other reviewers here.

Nga C.

Yelp
I attended a Yelp event a while back and that's how I learn about this restaurant. Their food was so good that I decided to go back to check them out on my own. By far their food tasted much better then the first time. I ended up ordering their lamb chop kabab over afghan rice and it was fantastic. The plate also comes with a side order of salad so that was refreshing. My lamb was cooked to profession. The meat was flavorful and moist. Every bite complimented well with the rice and I especially enjoy the sweetness of the raison that have a hint of cardamom. Service wise, everyone was friendly. I love the open kitchen so you can see inside. This shows confident from a restaurant owner because they have nothing to hide. The restaurant was pretty crowded and I do hope they gain even more popularity. Their food was a treat and I definitely look to coming back as I don't live too far from them.

Claire L.

Yelp
Just stopped in here and was really wowed!! Every dish we got was excellent, we had the borani banjan was flavorful and cooked perfectly, not fried but still crispy. We also had the aushak which was excellent! It was herby and fresh and just hit the spot. We also had the rice pudding at the end and it was just perfect!

Raza R.

Yelp
Delicious food, relatively quick service. I had been craving afghan food for a while and this hit the spot. The restaurant is pretty plain, not really a date spot but the food is worth it.

Heidi M.

Yelp
I first ate here through a Yelp Elite event and after trying a variety of wonderfully delicious Afghani dishes, I KNEW I had to return. Less than two weeks later, I kept my word and came back. I brought my partner with me this time, so that he could experience everything he missed out on. Ordering as a self-proclaimed "pro" (it was his first time having Afghan food), I got us the following: Bolani Gandana ($6.99) - omg these are basically Chinese-style scallion pancakes. A bit crispier and dipped in a white sauce, they are heavenly and addicting. He inhaled 3 pieces (there are 6 total) while I was still on my first. Mantu ($6.99) - reminiscent of Chinese-style wontons (shape and texture) but probably tastes more like beef ravioli. This blend of cultures is *chef's kiss* Mixed Afghan Kabab w/ Qabuli ($22.99) - to try a variety of kababs: chicken, lamb and beef. All very tasty ESPECIALLY with the qabuli aka Afghan rice. Absolutely a must-get here; highly recommend upgrading your platter to include the qabuli. We didn't finish this one, but we're sooo excited about the leftovers we get to enjoy at home this week. Uzbeki Qabuli Pulao ($20.99) - just WOW. Blew me away the first time, and again the second time. This dish is like the above, but instead of the kababs you get a huuuge lamb shank that is so incredibly tender. Fall off the bone to the point where it's difficult to even pick up the meat with a fork. No gaminess at all and just pure deliciousness. Even more amazing with the white sauce. The quality of food here is A+ and the prices are very reasonable. My partner was thoroughly impressed as well and this will definitely become one of our go-to spots.

David A.

Yelp
Haven't had Afghan cuisine since Cambridge, MA. Got dinner tonight, and the food was incredible! Portions are large and priced very affordable. Got Aushak, mixed Afghan kabobs, sabzi chalao, and Afghan Naan. We loved all but the mixed grill. It was good, but not great. Service is very slow and only occasionally comes by to check on you. Food service is quick. Ambiance: maybe 6 tables in a simple place with stunning Afghan art on the walls. Music doesn't seem Afghan. Can't wait to come back!

Fatoma R.

Yelp
Brought my parents here for a family dinner and I am so glad that we found this spot! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. Being Afghan, I am always super picky about going to an Afghan restaurant, but all the dishes we tried were amazing- especially the lamb shank! The bolani and the sambosas were delicious, and so was the eggplant dish. They also give you decent portions so this would be a great spot to bring a group of friends or family.

Caroline C.

Yelp
I highly recommend Dunya Kabob! It's one of a kind restaurant in the neighborhood. Everything I've had here is really tasty, full of flavor. I've had the chicken kabab, chicken korma, bolani, mantu dumplings, aushak dumplings, samosa, and firnee custard and rice pudding for dessert. All delicious! I've ordered takeout from them and they're pretty quick and efficient. The owner and staff are really friendly.

Gael F.

Yelp
The lamb shank, oh the lamb shank! It was a symphony of tenderness and juiciness, slow-cooked to perfection, as if time itself bowed down to the culinary prowess of the chef. Each morsel melted effortlessly in my mouth, releasing a harmonious fusion of herbs and spices that elevated this dish to celestial heights. But it was not just the lamb alone; no, it was the delightful union of flavors that embraced my palate. The rich, velvety sauce, a tapestry of complexities, balanced sweet and savory notes, teasing my senses with every mouthful. And let us not forget the qabuli tender and vibrant, adding a refreshing contrast to the dish's opulent nature.

Shirley A.

Yelp
Quite Small and quaint restaurant but good service from staff. The food is delicious and the portions are great

Jonny A.

Yelp
To say that I would recommend this place is an understatement. What a special opportunity. Read the NYT review to fully appreciate this place but wow the food is so delicious. If you've ever have uzbeki food, it is quite similar to afghani but this is even more delicious. The service is quick and kind and the ambiance is paying homage to Afghanistan. Honestly, you can't go wrong here with anything especially if lamb is involved!

David M.

Yelp
Original food, very tasty, friendly service. You might not expect it from the outside, but make the trip! Love it!

Neil B.

Yelp
I had read so many good things about Dunya that I actually was prepared to be a bit disappointed as one often is when building things up in advance but guess what, I was not! Having stopped in once before, I knew Mohammed at the front counter would be friendly and welcoming and that the restaurant would be spotlessly clean. I ordered meat mantu dumplings to bring home. When I got home they were still warm and and absolutely delicious with a thin skin, a nice balance of seasonings in the filling and a savory sauce. Then for dessert their I had their firni (rice pudding) that was smooth, not overly sweet with a hint of rose water. I have been to several Afghani restaurants in NYC and this was one of the best. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Sonny S.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to go sit down and eat at Dunya after really enjoying their takeout a few months back. Great vegetarian options, everything fresh and full of flavor. The veg aushak was amazing - dumplings in a tomatoey sauce. The vegetarian combo plate is also excellent. The rice is immaculate, topped with carrots and raisins. The standout dish was the bolani banjan - eggplant. Perfection. The service was super friendly and warm. Nothing fancy inside but definitely a pleasant place to enjoy a leisurely meal.

Fadda M.

Yelp
Delicious food, & very clean & nice inside. & very friendly staff / but small portions, & overpriced for their size. I left hungry, & had to eat again upon arriving home. Wld have ordered double of everything, but was already pricey (!)

Sammy S.

Yelp
Great food! Service was good. Very welcoming and humble people. The entire family was super happy. Will definitely be back again

eve S.

Yelp
Provided me with super oily "lentil" soup.. took 15 minutes to make... def not for everyone and gave me a huge stomach ache.. also, super hot in plastic container .. toxic.. place is mostly for Pakistani people

Nikki B.

Yelp
The NYT did a sweet review of this place. I pass it by all the time. I Learned two things..1- the best way to experience this establishment is in person. Don't be thwarted by the men folk. Or on Uber eats. The hummus was a great welcoming difference from what I'm used too. It was tangy and spicy very appetizing. The tabouli salad was very fresh!! They don't rush things here which is pretty good.

Melinda S.

Yelp
Oh yea this place is amazing. Location right on Coney Island Ave is unfortunate, since if it was located anywhere else I'm sure business would be booming. But seems they get by just fine ;) The food is fantastic and the service very kind. We did the "we have kids" dinner seating at 5pm, so it was pretty empty when we went, so can't speak to vibe / ambiance. But the food is why you're here. Hummus is amazing. Meat was overflowing and scrumptious. I want to eat here again. Soon.

Joe S.

Yelp
Incredible restaurant. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We had the mixed grill and it was amazing. Every dish is made with care and love. Highly recommended. If you are looking for a great Afghani restaurant, this place is for you.

Mia B.

Yelp
Wonderful owners and delicious food for a great price! We love coming here. The lamb dishes are so good as is the salad and all the appetizers we have tried. And the desserts are delicious, large and inexpensive.

Lisa M.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious!! Clean quaint little place. I ordered the lentil soup, mixed bolani, and lamb tikka kabob all was so good. The basmati rice was perfect. The service was great. Overall a total recommend!!

Masiha N.

Yelp
I felt like I was in Afghanistan, yes, I've been there before, when I came to this restaurant. This is the most authentic and tasty Afghan food I've had in New York! I love the service; so attentive and fast. I would recommend Dunya for that authentic feel & taste!

Rita D.

Yelp
I ordered food . A hungry lot of people waiting to eat . They never mentioned on their website they were closed. They accepted my order , charged me . Then last minute cancelled my order , saying they were closed that day !!!! Never recommend!!

Christina K.

Yelp
Excellent food and great service and reasonable prices, very clean and nice artwork on walls.

Risha L.

Yelp
This has become my go-to delivery meal treat. The chicken thigh kebab is always exceptional, as is the luscious firnee custard dessert. The creamy lentil soup is great on cold winter nights. This food is made with love!

Iffath C.

Yelp
An afghan joint in Brooklyn now? Say less I had to get the mixed afghan Kabab platter with Bolani and Mantu. The Uzbeki qabuli pulao with lamb shank was filled with flavor. They had Beautiful afghan art and rugs on the wall. Check out Dunya Kebab House in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Ed W.

Yelp
The good thing: everything we had was beyond delicious, from the feather light bolani to the exquisite firnee. The kebabs were luscious, and the salad is a must-have. The bad thing: they deliver to my hood, Sheepshead Bay: this is a major, major threat to my waistline. But worth it.

D B.

Yelp
Excellent service, very nice people, but we found the food uninspiring. The best thing about the beef momo was the delicate dumpling skin. They were tasty, but not "wow". I had the chicken thigh kabab. It was also very tasty, but, again, not special. My husband's lamb kabab was flavorful, but very tough, and, as there were no knives, both the chicken and lamb were hard to manage. I liked the bamia (okra), but it was a bit overcooked. The special rice was exactly the same as the regular rice, but with carrots and raisins on top; nothing to write home about, and not worth the extra $3. Portions were generous, no BYOB. Maybe we just don't particularly care for Afghan food, but we both would have been much happier with Indian, Mexican, or Chinese.

Yelp
Good prices, excellent and fresh food. The carrots and raisins on the rice have a beautiful, delicate touch.

Yelp
Got this catered for a company-wide meeting of about 75-85ppl -- it was INCREDIBLE! They were able to cater our large order of Mantu, Bolani Kachalu, & Borani Banjan. It was all AMAZING, and everyone was so happy with the selection. They were able to place all of the tasty sauces on the side so it wouldn't be too messy, & we even had complementary bread provided. all of the food was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. They delivered to us all the way in Manhattan & were super patient and accommodating with some ordering issues. Would absolutely order again, or just visit to sample more of the menu. A must try!
