Dupuis’ Restaurant

Delicious comfort food in a cozy setting. This restaurant is over 100 years old. I had the chicken linguine and it was delicious. The crab cakes were exquisite. My friends enjoyed their Seafood Pasta, fish n chips and Steak DuPuis.

Get the crab cakes!!! We stayed in the area for a week, trying this cute place last night, and wish we would have tried this restaurant sooner because we would have ate here again! The seafood pasta was amazing and so beautiful; highly recommend to locals and tourists! We didn’t make a reservation, but would recommend making one. Cozy atmosphere and soft, warm lighting. Upholstering the wooden booths would add an extra layer of comfort too. :)

Excellent. Wonderful food, service and ambiance. Shrimp main, halibut main and chimichurri main were all rock star good.

This was the best dining experience. Very beautiful place. Quiet and romantic. The best waitress Crystal. And the food was out of this world. Sorry I ate some of the halibut before I took the picture, but it was so good 👍 😋

I have lived on this Peninsula for over 20 years and have driven past this place 100's of times and never stopped. That being said ,my wife and I decided to try this place out.This place is AMAZING! It's historical significance alone and atmosphere are unmatched. The servers and waitstaff are top notch and EVERYTHING you consume is made in house. Our server Erin was very welcoming and informative. Prices may seem a bit steep but what this place offers is worth every penny. RESERVATIONS ARE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! This place is that good.

This place has so many good reviews that I almost didn't believe them. I stopped in while traveling through the area and was treated so well. Toni, Crystal and Cookie all took part in giving me one of the best dining experiences I ever had. Crystal took her time answering any questions about the menu, asked me questions to help her make the merfect suggestions on what to order and why and was very attentive. Seafood Pasta was amazing as was the prawn appetizer. There were flavorful surprises in evrey bite, from the home made roll with I think honey, pineapple whipped butter, the salad with cinnamon brine carrot, to the main course of pasta. Oh! And the Old Fashioned was simply amazing! Do yourself a favor, make a reservation and dine here. I'm sure that this place will be here for another 103 years.

Have been wanting to try this place for a long time. We finally made reservations and came out for dinner. It's a short drive from our place in Sequim. We tried their cocktails and I must say, the lemondrop was delicious! We ordered the halibut and the steak for dinner and the crabcakes for appetizers. My husband could not pass up on dessert. Service is great and food comes out promptly as well. The decor is very pretty. Would definitely return.

Wow! Do not judge a book by its cover. This place is indeed a hidden gem on Highway 101 East of Port Angeles! If you drove from Sequim into Port Angeles before, you might have seen this lonely yellow cottage along the side of Highway 101 and passed it without even noticing it’s a restaurant. Dupuis Restaurant aka Mariner's Landing Restaurant is a must-stop when visiting Sequim or Port Angeles. The restaurant is considered a historic landmark. It was established in 1920 and now with new ownership and a team full of passion and dedication to its customers and delicious entrees. On top of that, you are getting first-class customer service! Dupuis provides a unique ambiance! Once you step your foot in the door, it is like a world of magical curiosity. You will not find a distinctive place like this anywhere else: from its interior, and detailed decorations to its one-of-a-kind menu. Each dish is favorable. It was so fresh, good, and delicious that everything just melts in your mouth. The creme brûlée bread pudding is to die for! There is no diet when it comes to this place. This place is absolutely out of this world! Check out this hidden gem if you are heading in that direction. Reservations are recommended but not necessary.

We went to Dupuis for our 40th anniversary and the food was great, the service was great, and the time we spent there was wonderful. We had'nt been in a long time so will be going more often. We stopped here on our way to Olympic National park for the weekend. We were pleasantly surprised, it was really good. It is directly on the side of the road with not too many other places around. We had house margaritas, my husband had the seafood Alfredo and I had the breaded chicken breast plate. All of the food was delicious, no complaints there. The server was so nice and attentive. The inside was cute and cozy, like an old house. A nice stop from our drive from Tacoma to the forks area.

Right on the side of US101 heading into Port Angeles is a wonderful eclectic dining experience with a unique selection of seafood, pasta and meat dishes to satisfy any craving, complemented with freshly baked honey rolls. Even the cocktails were generous by Seattle standards. The hostesses were very friendly and offered helpful suggestions. Honestly, the best crab cakes we've had in the Northwest and the Steak Dupuis was superb. Try to save room for their dessert selection!

This restaurant sits right off the 101 between Sequim and Port Angeles. The proprietor made our experience extra special. Make sure you take a tour of the restaurant. There are so many hidden gems. The food is made with love

Food was ok small portions for $30+ the plate , service it was not good., We waited a long time at the entrance for someone to show us to our table then they took too long to take our order and to bring the food. The ambiance it was visually busy , a lot olds cristal jars and plates every where , really dark and outside don't look give nice welcome the grass and the plant dead and the paint old

We love the food at Dupruis! The difficult part is finding the restaurant actually OPEN! LOL We've driven by the restaurant half a dozen times in the last two months and we only saw it open on Friday night! We of course had to visit and we had a delicious meal! I ordered an old fashioned and there was LOTS of alcohol in that one drink! Tasty and gave me a buzz after just one drink! We ordered pickle fries and both had the tomato bisque. Really delicious and we were already half full by the time we finished our appetizer and soup! I ordered seafood pasta and Jon ordered the wild caught halibut! Both were super yummy and we were so stuffed, we ate half a portion and brought the rest home for lunch the next day! We also ordered their berry cobbler and ice cream to go! Super tasty cobbler with three different types of berry! Ice cream was ok.

This is our go to place for date night! We love taking friends here as well! The best crab cakes ever and the owner Toni is a gem. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and the food is always to die for.

Absolutely love love this cute little restaurant. The service was superb and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back. Wednesday through Sunday's reservations recommended. I had the seafood pasta. It was so delicious. Light lemony dill sauce was a perfect pairing for the prawns and crab. My hubby had the ravioli special it was rich and delicious. Our friends both had the fish and chips. We left full and happy. Check it out!

We originally wanted to get takeout from here, but I'm glad they denied our request on the basis of being too busy in the restaurant. We ended up dining in and it was 100% the right decision. It would have been a shame to come to town and not pay this restaurant a visit (or re-visit). This is the oldest restaurant on the peninsula and their interior decor is one-of-a-kind whimsical and charming. It has been renovated over the years but still maintains a nostalgic vibe with its wooden ceilings, glass decorations, and old-school curtains. Since we came in October, they already had a lot of fantastic halloween decorations adorning the entire restaurant. Just seeing how seriously they take halloween makes me wonder what amazing things they'll do for November and December. If I could describe the food here in one word it could be rich, in the best sense possible. Everything is made from scratch and so satisfying. We started off with their oyster chowder and it is the best of its kind that I've ever had. Go for the bowl (not cup), period. Their crab cakes were good too but it's hard to beat the chowder in the appetizer category. For our main courses, we had a pecan crusted salmon (special of the day), and seafood gnocchi. My personal preference is the seafood gnocchi- so creamy, buttery and will put you in a carb coma for the rest of the evening. I'm putting this place on my list of restaurants to come back to next time I'm in the area.

This place is delicious! The ambiance is great and it is one of the oldest restaurants on the peninsula so building is super old and cool but very well maintained. Crab cakes with sauce are so yummy. Husband got halibut special and I got seafood pasta. Both slightly under seasoned but very good other than that . Just added some salt and it was perfect. The rolls are homemade and that honey butter is . Don't forget that yummy just the right amount of sweetness bread pudding! Come to see this cool old building and piece of history and stay for the yummy food! Not many nice places to eat here on the peninsula- this is one of the few!! Date night!

wowowowowowow. its not often i RAVE about a place but this is somewhere truly special. Don't be put off by what you see on the side of the road. Stop in and have a wonderful meal, great service and unique drinks. The ambiance can only be described as something unique. a cross between your grandmas house and an antique store which is utterly charming! The food is the star here: i had cod stuffed with crab and it was amazing. the sauces are second to none! My raspberry martini was one of the most unusual cocktails i've had and i fantasize about it. The service was impecible - super friendly and really help make the experience that much better. GO, good golly, GO here and eat!

We've been trying to check this restaurant out for years. We don't travel through Sequim often- it's a long trip. Every time weve tried to eat here, they're closed, gone for vacation, whatever....even though the sign on the wall says "open". This time we made reservations online. When we called to confirm, the voicemail said you're closed; gone on vacation. What the hey...if you're going to use an online reservation service you need to keep your website up to date. Not sure we'll bother trying again.

I feel that this place should be protected at all costs. The vibe is very "Wisconsin supper club" and the Christmasy decor was appropriately over-the-top. The chicken breast was the size of the plate it was served on. The cod was pretty good, nothing mind blowing. My Manhattan was exactly what I wanted. Go for the history and atmosphere and fun and be cool. You'll have a great time.

If you're a big city food snob like me, then you'll want to steer clear of this place. The food is abysmal. We started with crab cakes, which I had high hopes for since the restaurant is so close to Dungeness, but they were nothing to write home about. The crab was drowned out by breading and the sweet sauce was unnecessary. After that the meal took a dive off a cliff. Salads were unimaginative, as if someone had thrown whatever veggies they had left in their fridge onto a bed of lettuce. Then suddenly you're chewing on a piece of Big Red gum, no wait, that's a bizarre sweet cinnamon carrot hiding in the ruffage. We had steak and the seafood gnocchi. The steak was cooked as ordered, but yet again, another unnecessary sweet sauce that looked like jelly. The seafood gnocchi was dreadful. Way too much cream sauce, stale tasting gnocchi, 3 pieces of shrimp, and a small pile of fishy smelling and tasting crab in the middle. I was afraid I would get food poisoning, so I skipped eating the crab, which left me very little protein and very little satiation. Why we kept going, I know not. Maybe we hoped the dessert would redeem the meal. Chocolate cake was sad and dry. Strawberry cheesecake which boasted "strawberries galore" had no strawberries, but was made with strawberry cream cheese. Both desserts had dollops of canned whipped cream. While the decor was entertaining, and the staff very friendly, the restaurant felt like my depression-era Great Grandma was running the joint. Bless her heart.

This place is a little gem! Everything was so tasty: warm homemade rolls, house made salad dressing, the seafood pasta had large prawns and big pieces of crab in it...everything was on point! Prices were super reasonable. Our waitress was also the owner - she was super sweet, kind and welcoming! Even a bottle of the red blend was beyond reasonably priced. We will definitely be back when we're up in the area!

They have a very limited menu but the food is good. Cute place, good service and friendly staff.

The food was really bad and we were seated in what looked like a gift shop. We were the only ones in that room while right on the other side of the wall was seating and ppl eating. It wasn't full so we could have been sat there. It felt like odd to be sat where were sat. Did I mention the food was terrible. Their special was shrimp stuffed pacific cod. That meal was an embarrassment to seafood. Cooked terribly and stuff with those tiny gross salad shrimp

Great old world ambiance, fabulous, friendly service with great local seafood. Family friendly, daily specials and helpful recommendations. Start with the crab cakes. You won't be sorry.

Food and atmosphere were strange. Grissly steak, pineapple in the butter???? Red hot cinnamon flavor on the carrot sticks??? Great grandma decor. The experience was off putting my 20 year old kids came out hungry and went straight to Wendy's! 150$ poorer

The food here is amazing. You walk in to a wood cabin filled with vintage glass vases so beautiful and old fashion. The dinner rolls are to die for so fresh and the butter is so warm and creamy. I had the fish and chips and oh my goodness best fish and chips in town definitely a must have! Service is amazing we had a lovely waiter work was timely and so kind.

I've lived in Sequim for eight years and I've driven by this place time and time again. Finally made my way in tonight and it was all I had hoped for. Wonderful historic atmosphere, great food, great service. What more does a restaurant model need?

I have lived in Washington for about a year and a half now and I just ate the best meal I've had here to date! I trusted my fellow Yelpers and was not disappointed. The crab cakes were the best I've ever had and the steak was great. Wonderful service and a great, quiet setting. You get more than you pay for here. I can't wait to visit again when I'm back in the area. Don't miss this place if you are visiting Sequim or Port Angeles!

Delicious food. Everything I've had has been excellent. The service is friendly and efficient. Very cozy quaint place. Do not hesitate to go here! It is a bit pricy but not out of line for the area. Plus the quality of the food, ambiance, and service makes it worth it. My go to place for special dining.

Honestly the best place we have eaten on this trip. The atmosphere is amazing and the food was absolutely delectable! A must have for those traveling around here!

The steaks are phenomenal, the amaretto prawns and crab cake with capers appetizers are both delicious, and they make a good Old Fashioned!

Went recently for an early dinner. I was working so it was just me. Walked in and there was 4 customers. The hostess seemed slightly irritated that I was by myself. She said that she didn't know where to seat one person. I should have walked out, but she seated me in a corner table by the kitchen, easily the worst table in the place. Ordered the clams with linguine. Canned clams in a cream sauce, disgusting. Best part of the meal was the dinner salad. Won't be going back obviously.

Incredible! This is some of the best cuisine I have ever experienced. I could tell that everything is homemade, even the butter and whipped cream. The meats were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of spices. And the dishes provided something different than all the other restaurants. I am a pretty picky man, and I am usually hesitant to spend so much dining out. However, this was worth every dollar. The chef here deserves a raise.

Dinner for two. GOOD food @ Dupuis restaurant. 3.4 stars approx. Better than average. Ordered 3 dishes. okay + , just NOT "I'm a FAN" or four stars for our experience this evening. Included with two Mains: side salad, roast yam and cuppa oyster 'stew' (watery like soup lotta cream n BUTTER), so PLENTY of food, just not our 'style' of food. Side salad would have been great, except too much dressing ladled onto plate, instead of ON THE SIDE or in a ramekin, where we could control the RICHNESS. Dinner rolls and butter (HONEY and pineapple whipped in) again adding sweetness / richness = O.T.T. in our judgement. Crab cakes starter were best of our choices, albeit.... BUTTER overwhelmed the local hero ingredient Dungeness crab. There was crab evident and it tasted fine; small starter dish 3 cakes @15$. Mains of cod fish fried and OYSTERS fried heavy handedly and bland.... good fresh ingredients.... just couldn't 'keep outta da way' ? Decor and background music early 50's. I love the MILLS Bros. and BIG band, so no problem there. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Service was 4 star at the price point of $33 p/p incl txx ++ Clean room, a tad dated in spots, some 'clutter' spoiled the ambience. Carte des Vins unimpressive factory stuff. Unable to finish the 2 courses, we passed on the desserts. Conclusion: For those who eat a LOT of RICH FOOD and have a sweet palate.... enjoy PLAIN tasting fayre, this may hit YOUR mark.

We just finished a hike at Hoh Rainforest and tried to stop at places along the drive back to Bainbridge. We called multiple places and found no one open, or willing to take reservations. But alas, we found Dupuis 20 minutes out of Port Angeles. The lady on the phone was very professional and courteous for taking our reservation last minute(7:30 was last call). Once we arrived, the service was welcoming from the start. The menu options were diverse with many options made with locally sourced ingredients. I ordered the gnocchi with a soup on the side. Highly recommend the beef/veggie soup as it was very yummy. The gnocchi was crafted with love like gram gram makes it. Excellent service, excellent food, and an excellent end to a day full of adventure.

Nothing of excellent fashion was served or presented however the food was adequate but a bit high for what was brought to the table.

5 stars for the experience alone. Food was pretty good as well, but the overall vibe was what we were most happy with. A cabin-y, grandma-y, very nice get away in the woods with good ambiance music and sweet customer service. House made dressing. Steak and gnocchi were home-style-y. Not the best food I've had in my whole life, but on point with what we were looking for from the set-up. It's like if you're great grandma was a really good cook, you're eating her cooking.

My go to. My solid, consistent, every Friday favorite. We moved here recently and stopped into DuPuis and loved it. Toni, Erin and Cookie have gone above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I'm from a small town in Iowa and this is the only restaurant I've ever been to that actually feels like 'home'. Obviously, we wouldn't keep coming back if they were just nice. Their food is indescribably delicious. We originally came in for the fish fry and shrimp fry which is outstanding!! You can get fish and chips or swap out for onion rings.... We keep coming back because, like magic, it seems like their food just keeps getting better. We started exploring the menu and specials and have tried just about everything.... I'm to the point now that I switch between whatever fish they have or the steaks. I also would add the drinks are next level. Classic cocktails or whatever else you want is served with the nimble hand of an experienced bartender which means a lot to me. I feel like if I don't come here every week I'll miss something. You need to come here!! Call ahead and make a reservation. We just dropped in tonight and almost didn't get in!!

I'm so glad we decided to eat here. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant very cute and cozy. Everything we tried was amazing. The seafood gnocchi was our favorite! We also tried the wild mushroom ravioli and the steak was superb as well. Definitely we are making this a regular stop next time we are in the area!

I have been driving by this place since I was a young boy to now into my 50's, wondering what it was like to eat here. Hands down the best place I have eaten in this area. I was so blown away by how well everything was prepared and served. Not much to look at on the outside, (actually it has never changed since I was a kid). Don't let the looks fool you the food is on point and the service is very good.

Simply amazing in every way! Service was personable but not intrusive. The food was absolutely delicious with the seafood cioppino being the Star! The panko breaded chicken breast With the mushroom gravy was fantastic! The waitress was so friendly and accommodating. Since I'm allergic to potatoes, she allowed the wild rice. Great pairing. The bread served with dinner came with honey butter which was very good. The side salad were small but not tiny. Homemade dressings were tasty. Interior is a little plain but adequate. Coffee was very good with plenty of refills. We would recommend!
