Joe Beef’s Little Italy Wine Bar Earns Glowing First Review | Eater Montreal
"On the South Shore in Longueuil, Dur à Cuire’s menu can seem predictable at first, but I found notable creativity in dishes like perogies with smoked gouda, jalapeños, and chimichurri, and an odd beet salad with snow peas, fried peanuts, dried banana, and labneh that surprisingly works. However, the restaurant’s staple paella proved a disaster in too many ways to overlook and the desserts were overly sweet, leaving me with a middling two-star impression." - Tim Forster
Small place for taste lovers. The food is an art made with love for each plate. You need to try the whole menu but the Fois Gras is Superb.

I went there just for the foie gras with my friends but food is not the same anymore...Please see the comparison in my picture (No sauce, portion is reduced and it is burnt)...The waitress didn’t even bother to change the plate and she said it has always been like that..I even showed her the picture but I guess she needs to go to the optometrist to change her glasses as soon as possible.
Maybe this dish was really “ dur à cuire ” for them just like their restaurant’s name.
Highly recommend this place if you like noisy restaurants and burnt food to get cancer.

Nice little place. Must try! The meat is very good, fries are on point and the sauce is a good addition. You can bring your own bottle.

Great BYOW restaurant in the south shore! I have been there multiple times and everything I have tried was delicious.
Last time that we went, it was a bit too loud and hard to hear each other talk, however the service was quick and the food is great.
Its family-friendly too!

Delicious food, outstanding service. I wish I took pictures of the food, but too busy eating! My husband had the steak with pepper sauce, and I ordered two appetizers: the grilled octopus and fried calamari with a side of kimchi slaw and Korean-inspired sauce. Everything was excellent.
Very disappointing..
The service was excellent. Unfortunately the meal was extremely salty, and we reported to waitress who conveyed to chef. It's an open kitchen so we witnessed the chefs reaction.
First he sampled it, discarded the meal in the garbage and gave us glaring stare. The appropriate action would be for the chef to take the 10 steps to our table to apologize.
Overpriced as well - 26 $ for 12 pieces of pasta !
Will not return...owners are lucky to have great wait staff in such a demanding market.

Yelp
Small place and it's pretty loud. We waited a while to get the food but when it finally came it was really good! I had the porchetta, very tender and juicy with a crispy skin. A little expensive but not too bad. Overall good food but like I said waited a while for our main course, seemed like they were under staffed.

Yelp
Amazing food! Bring your own wine! Loud restaurant could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your company

Yelp
Simply amazing menu , great service. The "cote de boeuf" for 2 is a work of art! Bring your own wine.
Prices are very reasonable and the ambience is great. Open kitchen concept so you see whats up the whole time.
Will be eating there again soon for sure!
