Schedule an appointment and take the tour! Jeff was our tour guide who walked us thru the process of quality oil pressing. This unique opportunity to be educated about the process, the history, passion behind the quality. The love for Miss Penny has created a wonderful opportunity for us. They even offer overnight stays. After learning about the types of trees, we even purchased a pair to grow at home. Salts, seasonings, candles, vinegar, oils, plants, olive wood spoons and boards are available in the gift shop. There are Wine Club options that include pantry as well. We look forward to going back to this hidden treasure.

I love this place! It's an awesome venue to admire scenery and replenish a supply of the finest tasting olive oil(s) that I've ever had. Great assortment of gift packages for friends and relatives, too. Now that we live about 150 miles away, we have to ponder whether to make a special trip from Lane County to restock in person.

I’ve never been a huge fan of dipping my bread in olive oil and balsamic vinegar until I tasted and got hooked on Durant Arbequina Extra Virgin Olive oil and their Apero Balsamic Vinegar during the pandemic when my husband received a sample pack in a gift basket from work. Their dipping oil is soooo good that I purposely make focaccia just for the excuse to use it. When I ran out of it I’m sure I could have found it locally in Portland or ordered some, but choose to make it a mid-week day trip with my neighbor Kate down to their lovely Red Ridge Farm to get it at their gift shop. What a beautiful location, especially on an nice crisp fall day. We enjoyed perusing the gift shop and garden shop. Along with picking up a bottle each of oil and balsamic vinegar I found a sweet garden monk that was exactly what I was look to add to my zen garden. There’s plenty of tables and chairs if you would like to buy a few nibbles and have lunch (and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind it you brought your own picnic). Visit the lavender gardens, olive groves and beautiful grounds and finish up at the tasting room. Did I mention they make wine as well as olive oil!!

My wife and I had never been to an Olive Mill and the Durant proved to be a wonderful surprise during our Vineyard touring October Saturday. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting was complimentary and included a little package of bread pieces. We purchased a White Peach balsamic and the Basil olive oil. Without the free tasting we wouldn’t have had any idea what we would like, so that was a winner. There is a wonderful gift shop and a nursery which is beautifully laid out including a brick walkway. There is a big tasting room at the next door vineyard too.

Best fresh olive oil around. They have free tasting where you can try the oils and vinegars before purchasing. Great gift shop with all kinds of unique items including spices, lotions, popcorn, etc. The greenhouse offers plants and flowers for sale. Grounds are beautiful.

Durant Olive Oil is pricey and worth every penny. The atmosphere at the Olive Mill is soothing, and I am a big fan of the Olive Oil and Vinegars Tasting Bar in the seating area outside. Being able to mix oils and vinegars is a "Choose-Your-Own-Adventure" of tastes and always leads to a gleeful bag full of oils and vinegars to go home. ALSO! I was thrilled to see Steven Satterfield's latest book, "Vegetable Revelations" on display (and for sale). Highly recommend! It's just one of the many eclectic and on-brand wares for sale at Durant. Durant, I just wish you were closer, so I could visit more often.

Google
A fun place to watch and learn about how olive oil is made, as well as taste the different variety they have. A visit to the olive mill was interesting. The tasting room/gift shop is both cozy and modern, as well as offers a great selection of other trinkets and items for purchase, in addition to the olive oil. Further, the staff was friendly and informative. The grounds were well kept and elegant.

Yelp
What an unexpected surprise. Such a great tour of the olive mill and farm grounds. Missy was so passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the olive oil production and the family history. I would definitely recommend stopping at Durant Olive Mill and taking the tour if it's available. Try all the different oils and ask for recommendations on how to incorporate olive oil in your daily routine.

Yelp
Who would of thunk that Oregon had an olive oil mill or that you could grow olive trees here. Wow! Just found out it's true! :-) The olive oil festival is going on at Durant Olive mill in Dundee. They have several different types and flavors of olive oil for tasting and purchase. And also some award winning Olive Oils. Tours are available by booking online. On the weekends, they have a little bit of music and some food vendors available with wonderful things like soups, Woodfire pizza, etc.. There is also a vineyard and they make some wonderful wines. Lots of deluxe tents and heaters around to make it a warm and cozy ambience. There is a small gift shop. It also has flavored vinegar's, salts, lotions, potions, decor, etc. So fun! The owners and staff are mingling around to chat with and help and everybody was wonderful. Be prepared to spend some money but it's worth it. Some unique gifts to be had. :-)

Yelp
Obsessed with this place. The only olive oil mill in Oregon! After you visit the tasting room, you have to make a stop to the oil tasting area. You can try out all of their incredible flavors with bread samples, as well as take home some bread, balsamic vinegars, and great gift options too. We are fans for life! Its now a tradition of ours to come out at least once a year.

Yelp
This is part of the red ridge complex and its great chance to belly up to their oil tasting bar and try some new things- like olive oil flavored with lemon. Probably not something that I would generally be interested in. The oil is pricey but great quality. If you want the real experience you can get estate stuff for around 50.00 for what appears to be around a pint produced from the 17 acre on-site olive orchard. The rest of the oils are a blend of their stuff and olives from California. You should try it. I would be using it to grease the bottoms of my pizza pans but I will certainly be using it on veg and on the tops of things like foccasia . You can order it on line.

Yelp
OOM is a beautiful location and venue! Perfect for family event or wedding. We have enjoyed multiple events there since we stumbled upon OOM 2 years ago, including a wine and olive oil inspired dinner event, wine tasting and our own wedding! We were married there in 2011, and the OOM team executed our special day to perfection. We plan to make OOM a destination whenever we visit wine country from PDX.
