The 13 Best Restaurants In Durham

"Food halls are perfect for large groups and people with different tastes, and Durham Food Hall is no exception. The half a dozen stalls have you covered for something at any hour, beginning with Old North Meats’ $5 breakfast sandwich, which you should definitely add pastrami to. Lunchtime belongs to Ex-Voto, specifically the hearty crunch wraps packed with roasted chicken thighs and chipotle crema. Grab a wood-fired pizza from Napoli for dinner, especially if you’re in a hurry, and stick around for a drink at Auctioneer Bar. Consider ordering your food to go and enjoying it in the nearby Durham Central Park." - eric ginsburg

Google
Top on my most favorite spot now! Love the bagel sandwich place. Food, drink, dessert and sitting area are all to my liking! Would spend hours here just eating, drinking, chatting with friends and family!

Google
It was early in the morning, so there was not much traffic, and only 2 places were open. Tried a sandwich. The sauce was overwhelming, and the chicken tasted old. Next time, I'll ask for my drink to be a bit sweeter. It was ok for a new experience.

Google
Great spot in Durham! It's lively, lots of variety (seafood/indian/burgers/bagels/pizza/Asian/mexican/coffee + boba bar) - mix of people kicking back and having drinks, to families with young kids, to people studying or hanging on their laptops. Good vibe and clean. I was there with my family, pizza and cheese steak pop up were good, I liked my Milk Bar drink and thought the Onigiri was really good. My husband really liked the chorizo burrito, their in house habanero hot sauce was spicy (in a good way!).This is perfect for a large group interested in options, also they have long community tables and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to find a table on a busy Sunday afternoon.

My partner and I tried some different items from the durham food hall. We both had entrees from patty boy, a double patty smash burger, and an offer of chicken tenders with a side of tater tots and buffalo sauce. I also had bao buns with corner yaki. While i didn’t get a pic of it, we also had fruit teas with milk lab. The smash burger was delectable, i think due to it being a smash burger you gotta go with the double. This burger taste like a big mac and idk why that is but this feels like their love child. every bite was delicious. a bit of a messy burger but i wouldn’t have it any other way. The chicken tenders were crispy and had a nice crunch, wirh a nice layer of fat to give you a truly respectable tender. it was seasoned well and a must have. the buffalo sauce was more on the spectrum of vinegar based so it was a little tangy and sour, think of Texas pete, tabasco in consistency. Prices were about what you can expect from a food hall but rest assured these items will not disappoint. On the other hand, corner yaki disappointed with these pork belly kimchi bao buns. for ten dollars you get two. The pork belly was just disappointing. It wasn’t crispy, and i can understand that but the fatty lining was rubbery and hard to chew. I had to peel it off unfortunately. the actual taste of the pork belly wasn’t bad but pork can be tricky. It just didn’t stand out flavor wise. the kimchi was fine, right balance between acidity and flavor. i can see the vision for this plate. A beautiful blend between savory acidity and sweetness from the kewpie mayo. But it just drops the ball here. I think maybe if the pork was made crisper, or even a tad bit thicker, it would work better. Id pay two extra dollars if it meant higher quality pork belly. i’m hoping it wasn’t a true reflection of this one item. i’m still looking forward to ordering from here as their menu is varied and full of different flavors. Milk lab is a must when being here, i had a mango fruit tea that was blended and it just hit the spot. be warned, this place stays busy so I would recommend getting a drink first and ordering food second. Unfortunately it was just one person behind the counter so we had to wait longer than usual however the order came out perfect, hoping they can get some staff in to ease the burden of order taking/making. shoutout to the staff.

Google
LOVED this food hall. everything from the indian place to the oysters drinks and more. everything was so yummy. a little expensive but cool place

Google
Lots of options. Lots of seating. Great place. The only thing to note is that if you go at certain times, parking can be a little challenging. Nonetheless, overall, really good place and highly recommend.

Google
Fun vibe here. Packed on weekends. Food is not cheap, but an interesting set of vendors. No tables available during our visit. Line to the bathroom was to the front door.

Google
Loved the options available. If I were a local I think I’d still have trouble picking what to eat! My fiancée and I dropped in while passing through, and had coffee, bubble tea, crunchwraps, and bao buns — a little taste of a few of their spots. Though next time I’ll be looking at the Indian food and Burger joint (if I can resist those crunchwraps) 👌 The place was very clean, had many guests enjoying lunch but didn’t feel overcrowded, and even had an upstairs for private events. We saw they host other community events as well! Very cool spot — can’t wait to pass through again (and we will be sure to)!

Yelp
This is our new favorite group hangout place. It satisfies everyone's needs and wants. It has great cocktails, beer selection, and a variety of food options! Ample seating spaces too!

Yelp
Leaving a review after talking with an ex employee and learning more about something that happened two months ago. Two months ago, Josie, a bartender at the food hall, refused service to my Hispanic friend. My friend was the only person refused service, and I asked why this was. She said she was obviously intoxicated but she had not had any more drinks than the rest of us. Not only that, but she didn't even ask for a drink- she simply asked for water and the bartender went out of her way to tell her she wouldn't serve her. There was also a medical emergency going on with a woman of color. When I brought this up she rolled her eyes and said "what are you, friends with them?" She didnt help that patrons at all and did not have an ounce of sympathy towards the situation. There were microagressions made around these women and it made me uncomfortable which prompted me to say "this is feeling a little racist to be honest". When I said that, she lost her cool and kicked us out of the bar and threatened to call the police. Now I have learned from a past employee that she used to not serve people of color at the bar and this seems to be a common occurrence. I hope management looks into this as this is not the kind of culture we typically experience in Durhams and we shouldn't tolerate this behavior to be frank.

Yelp
Grabbed dinner and a drink here recently. Pretty good variety of food options and it wasn't too insanely busy even at 7 PM on a Friday. The central bar had a decent variety of beers on draft and it's nice that you can take your food and eat it at the bar. I was a little surprised that many of the restaurants closed kind of early (~8 PM) since I figured most of them would want to stay open later on the weekend, but maybe there aren't enough people around to justify that. Anyway, overall, it's a pretty cool spot that I will definitely visit again!

Yelp
I went to the seafood place in the Durham food hall. I got the grilled fish of the day sandwich, it was cooked great and the sauce was good too. Got the food to go and was out the door in about 10 minutes!

Yelp
Great food hall with lots of delicious and diverse options! There are about ~10 vendors - Chinese dumplings and bao buns, tacos, bagels, Napolitan pizza, Indian, seafood, and a large bar in the middle. On the upper level (there's a ramp), there are a few vendors- baked goods/dessert, coffee, and bubble tea. The Napoli Neapolitan pizza paired with the cider from the bar was an epic meal! Napoli Neapolitan pizza (5/5) - The wood-fired Neapolitan DOC Buffalo Margharita pizza with a pillowy soft charred crust hit the spot! It's among the best pizzas I've had in the U.S.! I waited for 20 min to get my pizza, just be patient! Auctioneer Bar (5/5) - The Flat Rock CIder has a strong note of blueberries was sweet and refreshing! The Hibiscus cocktail with Bourbon was fun to try, but not my cup of tea. The bartender was super nice! It's also part of the Social District, so you can get drinks to go! Milk Lab (4/5) - The berry smoothie was very colorful, but very sweet even at 50% sweetness. Little Barb's Bakery (3/5) - While the pastries looked alluring and very tempting, I wasn't a big fan of the cheesecake bite. Among my favorite food halls in the country and will stop by again when I'm in the area!

Yelp
I went to the Durham food hall for the first time! I had patty boy it was a great burger and tots! It was made to order and didn't take long at all. The tots and ranch were absolutely homemade and amazing. It's a nice ambiance inside with lots of options for seating. A good amount of choices but not too many to be overwhelming. Everyone i interacted with was nice and helpful! I'll be back

Yelp
Totally love the vibe in Durham Food Hall! Live entertainment, family friendly, hipster and modern, artistic and cool vibe! They have a seafood retail that sells local grown oysters. Wednesday is $2 oysters! The Yakisoba Asian Fusion counter with lotus style bao buns. They have an Italian place and a curry place plus the bakery and the coffee shop. I walked around taking in all the lovely smells. I want to taste it all.

Yelp
Fun place to go if people want different food items. They had a really good Napoleon pizza a Japanese place seafood Mexican and Indian. There's also a bubble tea place and a bar in the middle. My only Quam is it's a little expensive drinks were running around $12 And my boyfriends want dinner was 23 without table service.

Yelp
So many amazing choices! The staff were friendly and helpful and anyone would be able to find a delicious meal. Great family environment. The Asian place was especially great with an employee taking at least five minutes to help me choose a meal my four year old would enjoy. Thanks!

Yelp
I've been here before, so I'm not sure where previous reviews went. The bar service is still my favorite place for late-afternoon drinks with wifi. Covered parking deck for retail, several food options, and always cheerful bar staff. The open two-story area over the bar gives a modern semi-brutalist feeling, with a faux-concrete bar and sheet metal work surfaces behind. There are always great smells here, any it varies by time of day depending on which venue is cooking. But I'm busy writing right now, and enjoying my drink. Maybe I'll see you here some afternoon and we can chat a bit more?

Yelp
Bartenders need to learn the meaning of customer service. 2 bartenders behind a bar that seats at least 20 and there was 3 people seated when I sat down. The male bartender walked by 3 times and did not even attempt to look at us. After a few minutes the female bartender said they'd be right with us. Waited another couple of minutes, watched the male bartender help a couple of women who had just walked up to the bar and we decided we did not need to spend our money on a drink there. The food we got was good but we won't be returning.

Yelp
Not my favorite!! For food, I tried both a pork belly pancake, and an apricot pizza. They were from separate vendors, but I didn't really love either! The pancake was fine but the pizza was super mushy. There is nothing worse than a super mushy pizza!! Service was fine. However, it seemed understaffed (at some of the vendors there was no one dedicated to taking orders). Ambiance was fine, but I'd love if they had better organization for utensils /silverware. The food hall has reusable silverware for dining in, but the vendors gave me disposable silverware (even though they knew I was dining in!) I'd love if they didn't do that, to reduce plastic waste.

Yelp
What a great food hall! Two things really stuck out for me. 1) the use of the space is really cool. It's not that big, but it flows well and it's unique and quirky. It ties in the building really well. 2) the variety of the foods is excellent. Again, not the biggest food hall, but they have such a great selection of foods. I'm sure there's more, but I saw pizza, Italian, Mexican, sandwiches, noodles, burgers and on. There's something for everyone. And like 17 things for me. We ate at old north and I had a great burger. We sat at the bar in the middle and I picked up a NC ipa with the burger. Great service and decent beer selection at the bar.

Yelp
Great places to eat. Lots of variety. The hardest part is finding parking. It is a bit noisy

Yelp
We stopped here on our way through town on a road trip. I was wooed by the rose milk tea at Milklab and the many choices for lunch. I loved the milk tea; it was 5 stars. For food, my husband got a crunch wrap at the Mex place and I, being skeptical of NC Mexican food, got some bao and spicy cucumber salad from the Japanese place. Honestly, I should have gotten a crunch wrap. I had a bite of his and it was really tasty and a generous size. The Japanese food was just ok. The bao buns were tasty enough but two small buns for $10 was not very cost effective, I'm used to getting 3 for that price. The spicy cucumber salad was also a bit disappointing. It was a little spicy and had a lot of sesame seeds but it really didn't have a lot of *flavor*. I had also eyed the pizzas, some of them sounded really unusual and interesting but on a road trip I didn't want to load up on bread and have a food coma. I also eyed the seafood but despite a sign that said "check out our menu" with an arrow pointing down, I couldn't find any sign of a menu or even a QR code to scan one, and being a social anxiety laden person that was enough to have me skedaddling. There's also an Indian kiosk, bagels, coffee and a bakery (which was closed at the time). There's supposed to be validated parking but if you park on the street I am not sure how that would work, as you have to either pre-pay or have a "validation code" -- if the meter maids come while you're eating then wouldn't you get a ticket? We just paid for parking, but this was a bit confusing. All in all, we'd come back again on a future drive-through-town and get milk tea and crunch wraps.

Yelp
I've been here a lot, I love to stop by whenever something is going on at the park in downtown Durham. I love that the restaurants here at smaller unique local places. My favorites are everything bagels and the bakery up top. I've tried a lot of the different spots here. The wait is always a short amount of time and the individuals are friendly. I love how they have different events at the Food Hall. The only thing I would have is a brighter ambiance. It's a little dark there and I've been to a few more food halls that were more well lit and inviting but overall this is different a spot in my rotation!

Yelp
Good value. I tried a kombucha at the Auctioneer Bar (because why do I need alcohol when I can have something far better like tea, or even better, fermented tea?). Peach, mint, and rose kombucha. Hit the spot!
google avatar

Diane W.

Yelp
Such a cute space! Plenty of fun seating. We got a few grab and go drinks and then got food from different places. I picked the Japanese place, the staff were super fun and friendly! I loved the bao buns, though I think the price is a bit steep. The fries were amazing, I just wanted more yum yum sauce.

Allison S.

Yelp
Great! Convenient for big parties. Get what you want. Nice bathrooms. Plenty of AC. Would go back!

Yelp
Love the idea! Neat space. Love the food options. Had yummy pizza. Will be back when we are in Durham

Yelp
we tried the bagels and local seafood place. at the bagel store we got the chicken katsu which to me personally it was too much on the sweet side. the bagel itself was a good one but it got too mushy with the sauce from the chicken katsu. at the local seafood place we got the combo choose 3 (fried shrimp, fried oysters, and grilled fish). highly highly recommend!! the grill fish was so tender and flavorful. the two fried items were fried very well but just a little bit salty. would come back again to try the other places! also on saturdays there is the farmers market right outside.
google avatar

Allison P.

Yelp
What a cool space! I love that food halls are popping up! We stopped for a Friday lunch and we're not disappointed. There's a variety of options for everybody! I settled on the breakfast sandwich from Old North Meats and it was everything I wanted it to be! It's definitely a spot with a fun vibe and ambiance.
google avatar

Adam B.

Yelp
I'm a fan of the concept and the space. It can be a little hit and miss in terms of what's available food-wise at any given time, but there are enough options that anyone should be able to find something that will do for them. The central bar has a great cocktail list and there are plenty of different types of seating options around the multi-level space. Of the places I've tried, Old North Meats and Provisions was terrific (try the Rachel), Ex-Voto was good, and Marco's 530 was just OK but they were on a limited menu at the time. The Hall will validate parking for the garage in the attached building, but there are also plenty of on-street options in the area plus other lots that are open after 5.
google avatar

Kong L.

Yelp
Welcome to Durham! A much needed addition to the food scene here! With so many new buildings going up and coming down -- a food hall was going to come sooner or later. I hope that this one and inspire others to come to the area. Lots of hungry Durham folks! This food hall is a super neat place to grab a bite or drink. Honestly, I don't think the food hall will be able to reach its fullest potential until after the pandemic. Dining in is available now and it's already coming to life! Lunch is started to get more crowded which is fantastic for the vendors. You shouldn't be able to find something to eat. The food hall features a bit of every culture. Stop by when you can!
google avatar

Lori J.

Yelp
Such a fun place to go with a group since you can all get something different! I did not enjoy my cocktail so I would get wine/beer next time. I couldn't decide between the pizza and Crunchwrap and ended up getting pizza (the pizza man wasn't friendly but the Crunchwrap man was). It was delicious but my bf thought it was soggy. He got the Crunchwrap so I got to try- amazing queso on inside and crunchy cheese outside. It's a clean place with lots of staff to keep it that way. Self serve water/utensils. Usually easy to find a seat They also have oyster/seafood, pasta (Italian or Asian) and a meaty sandwich place. Bagels and coffee/pastries as well but not open at night. I went back in November and expected them to have different options this time though Final thought- get a beer with the Crunchwrap 100%
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
Food halls are our favorite and a friend recommended this one to us. We stopped by yesterday since we're visiting the Triangle area. Covid-19: all of the businesses here have online ordering/payment. There was no one there when I went to pick up my food. I'm worried this means that they're struggling more than most right now, so go support them! There are a few tables outside, but it was far too cold so we ate in our car. They have it all set up to be one way inside too. We tried Ex-Voto and Old North Meats & Provisions. We loved both. Get a crunch wrap supreme and a pork belly sandwich. You won't regret it. I also wanted to try Everything Bagels, but they close at 2, and Napoli Pizzeria, but they are temporarily closed. I've always found that it's hard to go wrong at a food hall and this one didn't disappoint!
google avatar

Surika A.

Yelp
This is a great date night spot! The bar in the middle is very cute and I chose to eat some Napoli. It's great because there are many options. I cant speak too much of the other food options but the environment is great.
google avatar

Delonda A.

Yelp
Very nice space - enjoyed the bar and good variety of food choices. Just had drinks from the center bar and some food from Ex-Voto - the crunchwrap was excellent! Would definitely pop in again when in the area!

Yelp
Such a great space! I visited this evening with my MeetUp group "Relocating To Raleigh." We were all very impressed with the atmosphere and the food offerings. I ordered my dinner from the "Local's Oyster Bar" and got the Blue Crab Roll along with a dozen oysters since a few people in the group had never tried them before. The oysters were nice and fresh and the roll was so good and flavorful! One of my friends ordered the "Calabash Basket" and I traded him an oyster for a couple of his fried shrimp. The shrimp were okay but I definitely think my roll was much better. Overall I would give this place a 5/5. The others in my group seemed to all like their food and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere. It's definitely a cool place to get some food and hang out. I will be back!
google avatar

dani c.

Yelp
I love going here, Quite expensive but has a variety of options, everyone can get at least something. The place is nicely decorated. The mango matcha boba is so good
google avatar

Julia P.

Yelp
Came here for shelter from a massive storm this week and was unexpectedly surprised at how COOL this food court was. Lots of boutique, one-off, restaurants and a central bar in the middle. Seems to be a good choice for everyone, and some games/entertainment, too. Great date spot! I ate at Napoli and the pizza was delicious and priced super well... and wood fired
google avatar

Natika G.

Yelp
I love food halls! This location is stunning and is located downtown. It's always packed so be prepared for that. They offer a variety of food! Some places and can be pricy but the price of everything is up smh
google avatar

Scott J.

Yelp
Great spot to catch a bite to eat, coffee or even a drink. They've got several great restaurants there. On the weekends they are crazy packed and it's hard to find a place to sit.
google avatar

Allison W.

Yelp
I came here for lunch. Lots of options to choose from at good prices . I would definitely come back here again for lunch or even dinner when I'm in Durham.
google avatar

Juyoung S.

Yelp
Now that Durham Food Hall is finally open, I'm completely obsessed! I've now been a couple of times and the two food vendors I've tried so far (Everything Bagel and Lula & Sadie's) have been amazing! I wish I was still living near downtown Durham, but that's not stopping me. Currently the Food Hall is open for take out only due to COVID-19, with masks required for entry and one way traffic enforced inside the building. If you go on their website, you can place and pay for your orders online for any of the food vendors for contactless pickup. There are "pickup" tables inside designated for each food vendor. It's a gorgeous space with lots of seating, and I can't wait for when we can all mingle and hang out together. This will be an awesome weekend spot.
google avatar

Jessy B.

Yelp
I absolutely adore this little food hall. I appreciate providing a space for local restaurants to spread their wings with the locals. We went on a Monday afternoon and there was plenty of space to eat, not sure how busy this place gets on the weekends but it might be difficult to find seating at that time. I ended up grabbing a bagel from everything bagel and while waiting stopped over at milk Lab for some boba tea and put an order in at liturgy for some coffee. Everything was so centralized you could scoot around to each one and put your order in, wait at your table for your food to be ready and then have everything all at once. Not like other food halls that are long and sprawling you have to kind of pick one place order there and then eat. That made this place really fun. Highly recommend giving this place a shot, has great food selection everything you need in one place. Also, very cute atmosphere.
google avatar

Fahad S.

Yelp
Great fun space with plenty of seating available and a fun layout that took advantage of the available space. Not the biggest food hall but definitely a great selection of options with varying cuisines. Ended up getting pizza from Napoli which was really good, and staff was very friendly. Only thing that surprised me though was I went on a Monday at 7:00 before a show at DPAC, which I understand is not the busiest time, it was a bit empty inside and majority of the options inside were closed (I think only three things were open). Will likely return once I figure out the hours so I can try out more, and I definitely recommend as I can definitely see it being a great space to hang out in groups or even just chill on your own and get some casual work done.
google avatar

Yelp
Really cool spot right in downtown Durham. I love the bar seating, the different coves and cafeteria like vibe up top. I have tried the bagels, Mexican spot and pizza and loved them all. My recommendation has got to be the crunchwraps though. 10/10 incredible!!
google avatar

Rhonda M.

Yelp
The DFH is a great place to visit. We partook of the seafood market and the wood fired pizza. Will definitely head back for the seafood and to try the crunch wraps at the Mexican restaurant.

Yelp
Beautiful space, but horrible execution - or maybe don't go on a Saturday night? Pros: The Chorizo Crunchwrap that I got from Ex-Voto was amazing. The space is beautiful, love the setup and what they've done design wise. Cons: Half of the vendors were closed or sold out by 7 PM despite saying on their website they would be open until 8 or 9 so I only got to try one of the 3 spots I wanted to try. There were no forks, knives or water cups. I guess good luck if you have to cut anything? I stole a pint glass from the bar for water when the bartender wasn't looking. The place was packed and already noisy on a weekend night as expected and yet they decided that it would be a good night to do trivia as well? I'm sure 90% of people there were not playing and you could barely hear the questions over the other noise anyways. Just made for a super uncomfortable experience with an inaudible loudspeaker adding on to the other noise in the space. Leave events like that for weekday nights when it isn't as crowded. Definitely plan on coming back another time to give it another shot, maybe for lunch but I wasn't impressed compared with their rival in Raleigh, Transfer Co

Dan P.

Yelp
Tried the Neopolitan Pizza sausage and fennel pizza. Sausage was nonexistent. Pie overall was OK but very expensive at $20 for this size. Won't try it again. Food halls are a fun concept so will have to try something else next time.
google avatar

Angie S.

Yelp
Durham food hall is fun and lively with great choices of restaurants. It's great for groups of people who all want something different to eat. Want coffee or dessert afterwards? No worries - you can find that here too. Just one warning - you may have trouble picking what to eat, because it all sounds, looks, and smells so good.
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
Came here specifically for the Gelato! Gelato Was so creamy and smooth - tasted just like Thai tea!!! Durham Food Hall had a great overall chill atmosphere to hang with some friends while I was visiting the area!
google avatar

Jackie V.

Yelp
Cute spot in Durham to grab a meal. I had the pastrami sandwich from Old North Meats with a side of potato salad. Sandwich was 10/10 and I'd recommend it to everyone. The potato salad was noticeably bad which felt so sad because of how good the sandwich was. The food hall was pretty empty so it only took about 5 minutes to make my sandwich. The food hall was a great place to meet up with others. Lots of big tables & small tables. There were 10 other food stalls all of varying cuisines. Very accessible. Pay for parking depending on the time of day. I didn't see any pride flags but that doesn't mean they are not LBGTQ friendly.
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
Okay the food vendors are awesome- there are some fantastic gems in the food hall that you should not miss. Great service from the vendors. Cannot recommend the food stalls enough! However, what is up with the food hall itself?! Every time I've come, there are uncleaned tables, the trash bins are overflowing, there are stacks of dirty dishes and glasses at the trash stations, and the single water/ice machine serves tepid water at a turtles pace. Expect similar in the bathrooms. Today it even smelled like pee. Come here to get food, but don't stay.

Yelp
This place is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! And a great place to go with your friends if everyone is craving something different. They have coffee, bagels, Mexican, Italian, Asian, Ramen, Southern, Seafood and Sushi...literally something for everyone. My cousin got the 3 cheese ravioli from Marco's which was toasted with marinara sauce (very good) and I got the special from Neapolitan Pizzeria which was Potato Au Gratin Pizza which I also thought was very good but could see how it could be a little overpowering if you're not a fan of garlic or gruyere. (Also, this thing was HUGE! No way I could have eaten it all in one seating...so I happily had a snack for later!) I really, REALLY enjoyed this place. All the choices and ambiance...AND everything is LOCAL? Please do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Yelp
"Excellent food, fun seating, 'for a price', by Durham Farmer's Market" Came here for lunch on a Friday. The space is interesting-- looks inside like a converted factory. The seating area is very open and airy with a very high ceiling (and a closed stairwell in the middle). Around it are lots of small open-air dining options: a sandwich place, a Mexican spot, a bagel spot, an Italian/ Asian noodle spot, a seafood market/ restaurant, etc. Think of it like an ultra-bourgie food court, with most items made from local ingredients. There is also a water dispenser and cups off to the side for use by all, and you can even order takeout from your table via QR codes set up there. I confess the prices took me a bit by surprise. Chips and salsa (enough for 1-2 people) for about $6, for example. I got the $12 vegetarian sesame noodle bowl from the noodle spot (Marco's 530). It was quite good-- a little sweeter than I would have guessed, but the flavor was nice and the mushrooms were delightful. Folks with me got the burrito bowl or a bagel. Everyone liked their food-- the quality was high. I confess I was a little bit surprised by the ratio of price to quantity. I was still hungry after eating my $12 (before tax/ tip) noodle bowl and ended up buying chips and salsa. I also might be nervous going here at a busy time-- it wasn't too crowded when we went, but I have heard it gets very crowded at peak times, and they do openly say "first come first served" for dine-in on the website. But again, high quality, and nice space. Would I go here again? I think yes if wanting to show off to an out-of-towner that Durham as a "fun" place to be. I will say that I doubt I'd just bring my family here for a random lunch-- there are many less-expensive places around with nearly comparable quality and/ or larger quantities of food. But maybe for a nicer outing with friends who might have diverse tastes. And nice that much of the food is local.

Yelp
In the area and decided to check out the food hall. Parking is tricky. The location is small compared to other local food halls. They have a few restaurant options. I liked the bar area located in the middle of the hall. Didn't crave any restaurants. Might be back to try the pizza.

Yelp
Durham Food Hall is a great addition to this part of Durham. It's a great place to take out-of-town visitors and let folks choose something that works with their palate and preference. The indoor decor is industrial and open concept. I do wish there were 1-2 more vendors at any given time, as I almost never make it out here in the mornings, so still have not tried a bagel! I've been here a few times for dinner and do enjoy-- the place with the crunch wraps, Napoli for personal sized pizza, and the seafood place where they are very knowledgeable about where they source their fish, crustaceans, etc. Everyone I've encountered so far has been helpful and kind. Get your food, find a table, get some water from the self-service water station (and some napkins), and chow down.
