Yelp
I visited this establishment the morning of 5/09/23. I found them on Yelp by searching for gluten-free options for breakfast in Lexington.
I discovered this was founded by an individual who wanted to help give folks a second chance at life, after recovery or serving jail time. This made me want to visit even more, because everyone deserves a second chance in life.
The staff were super sweet and very helpful. They knew the ingredients in all of the dishes and were able to help me create my own sandwich.
They have gluten-free brioche buns!!! Omg, i was in heaven. I ordered the Orange Marmalade Chicken Sandwich subbed with a Brioche Bun and without honey butter (since I'm dairy-free as well). It was delicious! The chicken was moist and tender, the orange marmalade was heavenly, and that brioche bun was fire!
I also had a Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookie which was nice and chewy, which is what I like in a cookie, although it was a bit grainy.
My friend ordered the Southern Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed it. She ordered a Lavender Iced Cinnamon Roll to go, to give to her friend (I'm not sure of the result from that, but it looked divine).
All of the table tops are hand painted by various people and are lovely for viewing. The overall vibe of the place is laid back and chill.
My friend and I did have coffee with our meals, and neither one of us liked the coffee. They offered decaf, medium and dark roasts. I tried the dark roast and my friend had the medium roast and both were very bitter. But, I did not visit here for the coffee, I visited for the food.
When I return to Lexington, this will definitely be on my list for breakfast or lunch.
