The food was incredible. I enjoyed the Sicilian steak, while my husband had the lasagna and he had the calamari appetizer to start. Both entrees were excellent, and he very much enjoyed the calamari. Will say that it was very difficult to gain our servers attention, requiring my husband to get a beer from the bar, but other than her lack of attention would 100% recommend this place for fine dining. Quiet, cozy, owner was very attentive and outgoing.

We were truly blown away by D’Vino! We already enjoy Dinotto, their lunch-time sandwich spot, and we’re thrilled that D’Vino lived up to those expectations. We went for our anniversary, and this was truly the best service and some of the best food we’ve had in Madison yet! Our server was fantastic, we were regularly checked in on, and asked for our feedback on our meals. The atmosphere is wonderful, the music is on-par, and the service is genuinely commendable. Not a single complaint— I felt everything ordered was appropriately paced. The specials are PHENOMENAL- if you have a chance to order the saffron aged mozzarella arancini or their veal, jump on it! The anniversary sparklers were such a cute touch!! We’ll definitely be visiting again.

What a lovely experience at their Mothers Day Brunch. We celebrated my little sister’s graduation here with friends. I am from out of town so I had never been here before but was really impressed by the service, atmosphere, food and drinks. I ordered a Bellini and another mixed drink on the menu and WOW very, very good. I had the prosciutto eggs benedict with potatoes and they did not disappoint. Cannolis and Doughnuts for dessert were also yummy. I don’t live in the area but next time I come to Madison I will absolutely come here. Would be a perfect date spot or weekend brunch with your girlfriends. The owner even came out to make sure we were happy with everything. Highly recommend.

I have Celiac and my husband is from Sicily. We went in hopeful and left with our expectations far exceeded. We ordered a mix of gluten free and regular. For gluten free items we had gluten free arancini, a pizza, swordfish and fennel citrus salad all were amazing and as I am writing this the following day zero reaction. For the rest clams, meatballs, and spaghetti with meatballs. My husband said everything was excellent from the things I couldn't eat. I was so excited to have arancini because I have only ever found them GF in Italy they happened to be my favorite saffron with smoked cheese in the center. They were sooo good. The pizza crust for the gluten free pizza was also very good. I had a lot of questions about how everything was handled and Carmen answered all of them. She was so helpful and really put me at ease about the safety of my food.

D’Vino was recommended to us by friends. We couldn’t have had a better meal and experience! Had a great atmosphere with candles, white linen tables, amazing aroma of the food from the kitchen and music. The staff is very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. It was a great surprise when the owner, Vino stopped by the table to greet us and give us his daily specials menu, he was so fun to talk with and hear his stories. We started with the special smoked mozzarella Arancini which were out of this world! My wife had the chicken parmigiana and I had the Sicilian steak, both meals were fresh and delicious..one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Vino told us about his Nanna’s Lasagna he had just made, so we ordered a piece to go to try another day. Vino joked we would be trying it in the car on the way, it smelled so good we actually did. We will definitely be spreading the word about D’Vino and going back to try more of the dishes. Their homemade lemon cello is so good!

Google
Service was incredible. The young man with the man bun who served us was very kind and frankly hilarious. He knew lots about the menu and was able to recommend the yummiest bread and dip I've ever had. I can't remember his name but he had a radiant smile and some wonderful tasteful jokes. Would return in a heartbeat, especially if he was on the clock.

Google
We found D'Vino while walking around and the patio tables with great smelling food stopped us in our search for a dinner spot. Everyone who helped us was wonderful - we were attended to by 4 people and each was knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly! Andre was our waiter and we appreciated his attentive service and conversation. The food was amazing! We had a long travel day so we shared a great bottle of wine, the special clam pizza appetizer and the bolognese over paperdelle. The description of the spumoni bomb sounded so good, we had to try that too! I was a little skeptical about a clam pizza but feeling adventurous, we tried it and I'm so glad we did! Thank you to all the staff for a great meal and experience!

Google
Visited recently with a group of theater friends and will never be back. The food was okay at best. The owner/chef, Dino was very rude and disrespectful. We tried to bring a friend with us and he was told he wasn’t welcome because the owner thinks he’s acerbic. Well, Dino, you are very acerbic and you won’t be in business for long treating people like that. Our friend told us to go ahead and stay and he would meet up with us later but it just felt wrong. We shouldn’t have stayed and again, would never return. Our friend did nothing but disagree with the owner and one of his bartenders over two years ago. Both D’Vino and Woofs should be shut down for the way their staff treats customers like our very good friend. The owner should be ashamed of himself. This is very disappointing and we will never be back.

Yelp
Felt like I was back in Jersey! Like all of those local, kinda small, suburban Italian joints that have sincerely friendly service and great food! Such a good find in a town where it's difficult to do so. Everyone enjoyed their dishes - one of my benchmarks for an Italian spot is how good they do a chicken parm and this was one of the best I've had in a very long time. Apps and bread were good; again the service was fantastic. I look forward to coming to coming back to try more dishes (or just the chicken parm again)!

Yelp
Great service, cozy vibe, and good food. We had a good first visit. The people working were incredibly friendly. The cocktail menu was great. While the espresso martini was pretty chocolatey, the Sicilian 75 was perfect. We had the pasta vodka and the bolognese. The pasta vodka came with penne pasta. Next time, I want to be sure to ask which dishes have homemade noodles. Having the owner/chef come out to share the specials was a really nice touch!

Yelp
it's 3.5 stars. The food is 4.5 stars but the service was 2 stars at best... the Pasta Vongole was prepared excellently.. when it came to service, the waiter basically just took the order. We had to ask for a side plate for the shells, pour our own wine, pour the water too. The table wasn't cleared when the dessert arrived and we had to move glasses and plates to make room. No bread is offered with the meal, who does not have bread at an Italian meal? A few prices of bread arrived after requested... Only one fork and knife was provided for each course, leaving the used silverware for each course on the table cloth transferring flavor to each of the 3 course meal... next time I'd just have an entry and just a glass of wine to fit the service, recommend just tipping 10-12% because you'll do most of your own table service.

Yelp
Came in without a reservation on Friday and was able to get two seats at the bar which was perfect for us. Bar staff seemed very new and disjointed having to look up how to make drinks (that were on the menu). That happens. Menu was good and typical but we didn't get the specials or recommendations given to us having had to overhear them (I'll own that). It got quite busy so that's a good indicator. The fried ravioli was delicious and reminded me of St Louis where it's a specialty. I went with the chicken parm and it was very good. One of the best I've had. My wife had the Sicilian steak I believe it is and she enjoyed it. The fried donuts for dessert were perfect though slightly underdone. I'd give it another chance. The barstaff, though clearly struggling were very nice and were definitely working hard. The food was very good. Give this a shot if you're in the area of the square.

Yelp
The location, especially in the summer is fantastic. On the sidewalk with sun looking up at the capital. That being said, the food was average. The arancini was dry and the pasta lacked flavor. The service was attentive and we enjoyed the early dinner, but just wasn't that impressed with the food.

Yelp
On my second night in Madison I had another wonderful dining experience. We went to D'Vino and had a great meal. Things started off with some wonderful appetizers and really good bread. The service team was excellent and went out of their way to make it an enjoyable meal. And the location and atmosphere was equally good. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great place for a date night or just to get some quality Italian food. Il be back for sure. Loved the fried ravioli

Yelp
Ambiance is delightful. Not to dark and rather cozy. Allows for intimacy and enjoyment. The service was 10/10. From owner, Dino, walking the room and taking time with each table, to the knowledgeable staff, and fantastic bartenders! They MADE the experience. Anything on the menu is Devine. We tried all the specials and nothing disappointed. It was fresh, well made, and properly served. Even with a delay in the kitchen, nothing came out incorrectly. The food was rich, flavorful, and felt comfortable. Highly recommend!! 10/10

Yelp
Service was great! The food was just okay. The restaurant is small, so it can be difficult to hear other people in your party!

Yelp
Amazing Italian + stellar wine makes for a pretty perfect dinner. If you live in downtown Madison or you're visiting, D'Vino is an absolute must! Service exceeded my expectations almost as much as the warm, inviting ambiance. The owner is the chef (and pastry chef) which you rarely hear about. With a Sicilian based theme, the food does not disappoint. I started with a pesto and pea filled arancino, which was hand-rolled and SO good. I followed with the mussels, which were in a white sauce, and I ended my meal with a classic tiramisu, which was one of the best I've had. The staff engaged in conversation, sharing the history of the restaurant throughout the evening, which just added to my positive experience. It's hard to find an intimate Italian neighborhood spot that hits the trifecta: delicious food, great customer service, and a welcoming ambiance. I highly recommend D'Vino!

Yelp
Made friday night reservations for 4 and brought 2 friends. Nice ambiance inside - we ate outside to enjoy the beautiful weather- it's what you'd expect outside on king st. Waiter was inexperienced so timing was a little off but despite that he was very polite. My Martini Balsamico was really good. Appetizers were the Meatballs and Burrata bruschetta - both were delicious. Food was good though one friend did not enjoy the Carbonara as it was not like what she expected (I also ordered it but enjoyed it). Admittedly nothing like Carbonara I've ever had as the noodles were in a yolky broth instead of being coated (see picture). Lasagna had a great flavor due to beef short ribs, and Tortellini con pesto was good.

Yelp
Outstanding. I had forgotten what unbelievable service was. D'Vino has the most amazing staff, our waitress was just special. I did appreciate the Chef coming to each table to greet you and thank you for coming. I believe he usually comes to each table to explain the daily specials but it was so busy and he was needed in the kitchen. The clam pizza was as amazing as expected. GREAT place.

Yelp
We enjoyed Sunday Bruch and had a great experience. The location is very close to the capitol square with ample parking nearby. The service was friendly and efficient. The cocktails were creative and very tasty. The food was absolutely outstanding. We had the brunch package with included one cocktail, a wonderful appetizer pizza, a large entree, and then a fresh hot basket of doughnut-like puffs with a raspberry sauce. We will be back often.

Paige M.

Yelp
Not authentic pasta, had no flavor and was watered down. Calamari and wine was pretty good, but overall not impressed.

Yelp
Serendipitous flight cancelation led us to D'Vino in Madison Wisconsin. Great home-made tasting food..well presented, along with super drinks, ambiance and service. It was worth a trip!

Shaun P.

Yelp
This place seemed very overpriced for the quality of the food. I had ordered an Old Fashioned which was served with more ice than any Old Fashioned I ever had. We ordered Arancini as an appetizer special, and it came out at room temperature and was not very flavorful. We paid $6 to add shrimp to our tortellini entree, and that gave us 2 shrimp. They told us how their tiramisu was the best around, however, it was served to us partially frozen.

Yelp
We recently (AGAIN) took a drive to Madison JUST to dine at D'Vino's one of our all time fav's .... Service was great (as usual) & our food (pizza of the day, incredible swordfish pasta & terrific bean soup worthy of the best Italian grandmothers table) was incredibly good (again as usual) ... the owner was on site, charming us all with his humor and warmth ...therefore couldn't help but notice a recent one star review that left us scratching our heads in confusion .... Can't help but think maybe rather than improving this great restaurant's service or food maybe a change in the disgruntled diners attitude is in order? I have recommended this place to dozens of friends & business associates and have yet to hear that anyone has had less than a great over all experience

Yelp
D'Vino is a quaint little restaurant located in the heart of the capital. Our waiter, Andre was top notch. He knew the menu, made recommendations, and took great care of us. My DH and I started with arancini. The dish includes 3 and comes with a side of freshly made marinara. It was very cheesy and had great flavor. DH ordered the pesto tortellini with chicken. The chicken was seasoned well but a smidge overcooked. The tortellini was cooked perfectly. The pesto was fresh and was served with a few pine nuts. The dish comes with peas but the DH doesn't like them so he scooted them to the side. I ordered the spaghetti with meatballs. It was outstanding! The meatballs were seasoned well and were incredible tender. The sauce was great and also didn't disappoint. Be sure to ask for bread. It was crusty with a tender inside. We hadn't planned to order dessert but ended up getting an almond liqueur after dinner drink that was served with a couple of biscotti. Not sure it was on the menu but I'm sure happy Andre brought it over! The owner is very active in the restaurant. He made a point to stop by every table. He did everything in the restaurant from taking orders, to cooking, to baking. It was a pleasure to visit with him and learn his menu was based on this grandmother's recipes from Sicily. We wouldn't hesitate to return.

Yelp
FANTASTIC experience... can't say enough about this place. Perfect date night go-to. Ambiance is cozy, servers are attentive and friendly and the food is to die for!

Yelp
We got a same-day reservation here on a Friday night for 2 and found that it's a hidden gem! It has a cozy atmosphere and the service was excellent!! The staff was friendly and attentive. The wait time for our food wasn't very long either. We both got two of their dinner specials for the evening - frutti di mare pasta and a clam pizza. I'd highly recommend both.

sarah k.

Yelp
Service: amazing Ambiance: beautiful and cozy Food- the reason for the 3 stars. All the pastas were soggy- so disappointing for an Italian restaurant. The bread they serve is cold. The chicken Parmesan tastes burnt.

Yelp
Despite this seeming like a nice place, I'm afraid a few things were not great. First off the masked woman whose joy killing presence is like a blackhole destroying our sun? Why? I'll ask again... WHY!!? Secondly, I think you could do a lot better than thirty Sinatra songs on a playlist. The food is okay but I'm not really willing to wait an ETERNITY for okay. I suggest you hire someone with a culinary degree to work in your kitchen, hire servers who SMILE, hire an experienced bartender and most importantly replace the masked killjoy. Cannoli were good.

David B.

Yelp
Outstanding brunch today at D'Vino. Walking in the front door was like being transported into a restaurant in Italy. Very authentic cooking in a comfortable, quiet dining room. The Carbonara -- a hard dish even for seasoned chefs -- was executed perfectly. Also, a nice Italian twist on Eggs Benedict, with prosciutto in place of ham. So glad that we happened upon this elegant place.

Yelp
My family and I came for dinner this past Sunday night & we're not too impressed frankly disappointed . We are from Chicago and we're visiting my daughter, a UW student. We all have had some fantastic Italian food throughout the years. First of all, we were immediately surprised by the fact that our waiter failed to bring us any bread, butter or olive oil. When we asked for it,after ordering our appetizer's , we were informed that an order of bread for our table was an extra cost. That surprised us all. We went ahead and ordered it and When it did arrive it was cold bread. The owner came over and introduced himself and informed us of the specials for the night. I immediately heard lobster ravioli and decided to order it. My meal was personally bland without much flavor. My daughter ordered the shrimp scampi and that actually tasted good, but stated that it was a bit oily. My wife's chicken parmigiana was dry and the sauce did not have much flavor. My youngest daughter ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and she appeared to be the happiest at the table. We were there at the end of the night before closing and that may have had something to do with both the blandness and service, but unfortunately we all collectively decided that we would not be back to D'Vino anytime soon.

Yelp
Started dining out in 2022 off with a visit to D'Vino this evening! It was bothering me that I hadn't heard of this place before and then realized on arrival that it occupies the old martini bar place. I even sat in the same booth I did on a particularly memorable evening there a few years back.... I'll start with limoncello. It is delicious. Get a shot. Have the limoncello margarita - it's arguably the best drink I have had in a long time. Buy some to take home. You won't be sorry! Homemade by the owner and absolutely to die for. So good that I want to hoard the 16 oz I bought to take home and just take comfort in knowing that I have it! Ha! Appetizers is where it slips a bit. We ordered the antipasto platter and then the burrata which was a special. It didn't stand out - not quite as creamy and fresh tasting as I hoped. While the elements of the charcuterie plate were individually good, what I missed was fresh and soft bread vs the crostini. Arguably a personal opinion! I ordered the chicken Parmesan for my entree and was very happy. Great flavor with pasta cooked very nicely and topped with a crisp, fresh tasting red sauce. My husband had the steak and I did try that - perfectly cooked and seasoned. The tortellini was very cheesy, topped with Gorgonzola cream - and given the richness I thought the plating was perfect with just a side portion of pasta. The panzanella salad was absolutely outstanding. Lastly, no trip for Italian is complete until hazelnut affogato shows up. Hard to mess this up. The two biscotti- like cookies were a great addition. I definitely will be back. Make a reservation; it's a small space. The service is incredibly welcoming and friendly though could improve a bit on their knowledge of exactly what they are serving up. Happy you are here, D'Vino!

Yelp
When everything in the area was overfilled we were lucky to find this eatery gem. It has a weekend brunch which includes plenty of options. The dining area is cozy and quite which made our birthday get together just wonderful. The staff is both friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food is excellently prepared and arrives hot. Everyone in our party had the frittata which comes with a side of potatoes. It was a wonderful receipt that found favor with all as every plate was returned empty of its contents. We will return and hope to join with you and yours one day.

Yelp
When given a choice of sparkling or flat water, we should asked how many bottles we needed-1 would have been plenty. The food overall was excellent. The lasagne special was 28.99; please tell us the price when describing the specials (appreciated the owner telling us about them). The bread basket had 4 slices for 7 people-was it just supposed to accompany one of the entrees? The mussels came in a lovely broth, but there wasn't a spoon to be found to enjoy it. Calamari was delicious but expensive for a small portion. Waiter disappeared after food delivery. Two additional drinks were ordered that didn't come, so we canceled them. We weren't asked if we wanted anything else, like dessert or a to-go box; just got the bill and were told we could only split 3 ways. The split was done incorrectly. We understand the auto gratuity for a group, but then we expect the waiter to be more attentive. Perhaps drinking at the football game before work shouldn't be shared with the table.

Yelp
It is located in a nice neighborhood, and it is super pretty. Inside the decor was beautiful with the design and add ons and I have to say, this place is better than your regular Italian place you would find in a city downtown. The tiramisu was so amazing, it was fresh and absolutely awesome. I accidentally poked a hole in the Tiramisu because I thought it would be hard chocolate on the top . The plain Penne was absolutely deelish! The sword fish was nicely cooked and the cannoli looked nicely made and fresh with amazing fillings. The bolognese was so good, it made this place get 12/10 stars. They also had San Pelligrino available instead of Cola or soda or just regular water. Our waitress was super kind and she had a colleague who helped her bring the plates over because 4 of us were dining there . Overall this place is so amazing, I'm giving it 15/10. No way to break that score!!!! /Emma Cyrillus

Yelp
This place was actually terrible - I have no idea why I went but I thought it would be owned by a little old Italian man. The menu looked horrible I should've left after seeing it - balsamic martini! Terrible! I ordered a Negroni because that was the only drink that looked fine and i don't even like Negronis. We ordered spaghetti and meatballs and a citrus fennel salad. Both awful options but the best on the menu. I have no idea why we went but FYI if you're looking for a good restaurant this is a fake one so don't be fooled!!!!!!!!! I think they rent the space from the bar next door because random workers from the bar next door kept wandering in and sitting at the bar to chat for a few minutes. Also our server Luis was not good he was so rude the whole experience was so horrible I would refuse to go back and I will warn others as well. The good news is I don't think other people are going because I had never heard of it prior to going I was just hopeful it would be a hidden gem but NO there's a reason others are not going. Also the general atmosphere was bad too- there was no music the entire time and the lighting was so weird, like a spot light on my girlfriend's face. Basically everything was a red flag and sure enough when we got our food, we realized the red flags were indeed correct. Just sorry we were fools to go. But fool me once Shame on you!

Yelp
We went for a friends birthday!! Some of the silver ware/napkins were dirty. So that kind of threw us off :( our server was amazing and we ordered some dishes to share between 4 friends. It was like the perfect amount and the food was delicious. They did a small candle thing for our friend for his birthday and it was so cute :) it was a good first try for us here!!

Elia L.

Yelp
We came here for a quick drink and appetizer as we walked around the city. Small cute place that accommodated us at the bar right away! Service was exceptional and recommendation on the smoked burrata was on point. Delicious! Would recommend this place. Make reservations as it's not very big and gets busy.

Yelp
I have never been treated with such rude behavior before as I was on Saturday night March 4th. The owner of the restuarant accused me and my four guests of not ordering our appetizers. The waitor was accomidating as much as he could after the owner humilated us in front of the entire resturaunt. Yelling at us with so much hate. He was not even present when we ordered the appetizers. WE WILL NEVER GO TO dinner here again or refer it to anyone. I suspect if the owner continues to treat out of town guest like that he will most liking be out of business in 6 months.

Yelp
Totally great experience. Very owner on hands and they get it right. Service to ambiance, menu selection is A+.

Yelp
I've been trying to get back to Madison to try out this gem. Already had high expectations, because I know the owner puts his heart and soul into everything that he does. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Dino and his staff went way out of their way to give us the best experience. By far the best fish fry I've had in my life (get the combo with the shrimp) the cocktail sauce was everything. I'm also a sucker for calamari and I honestly can't say I've had a better dish of calamari anywhere else. The food was brought out in perfect timing allowing me and a very close friend to have great conversation while enjoying the vibes of the quaint restaurant. If I could leave 6 stars I would. Thank you for such an awesome experience! Keep up the amazing work!

Yelp
Had an amazing meal here last night. We didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us at the bar which was great since it gave us a chance to chat with the staff and owner. Wonderful story behind all of the great old photos that make up the decor. At the end of the day you judge a restaurant by the food and they get a solid 5 stars. We ordered the mussels, swordfish and pesto tortellini. All were stellar and would not hesitate to order them again. Wonderful restaurant.
google avatar

Margaret M.

Yelp
Wow oh wow was this a fabulous restaurant. Service and food second to none. Love the decor and a stones throw from the capital building. They ran out of the swordfish but those of us who wanted it were more than happy with our second choice. I highly recommend you try it if in Madison. I understand they will be closing soon to expand their kitchen. I can't wait to go back.

CC B.

Yelp
I'm trying to figure out how this place got such good reviews. It was just "OK". The food was "Hot", but not much flavor and very small portions.

Joe H.

Yelp
D'Vino is my new favorite restaurant! We had a beautiful Valentines dinner. Nice wine from Sicily. The Burrata was excellent. My wife had lobster ravioli. So often we are disappointed with lobster ravioli since you can't taste the lobster. Not at D'Vino. It was definitely lobster forward. I had the Sicilian steak. Flavor was amazing. It came with a side of pasta. Both my pasta and and my wife's were better than any we ate in Italy. We ended with Tiramisu; it too was better than the best I had in Florence.

Nadya S.

Yelp
HOMOPHOBIC AND AGEIST Will never come to this restaurant again. Was enjoying a date night with my girlfriend (both female college students at UW) and was yelled and sweared at by a customer sitting next to us. The woman told us we were being too loud, which we apologized for and said we would quiet down, continued to swear at us, and asked for the manager/owner. The manager/owner came over to the table and impolitely and nastily demanded us to quiet down and stop talking to the other customer. After apologizing and asking for the bill, the woman and manager continued saying nasty things to us. Mind you we apologized, never swore or raised our voices, all while being bombarded with insults from a woman and OWNER more than twice our age. Additionally, we are both honors students who are attending post secondary education who know how to respectfully dine at a restaurant. These behaviors seemed extremely related to the facts that my girlfriend and I are both girls and we are college students. Extremely upsetting and disheartening. Was planning on coming here to enjoy a graduation dinner with my family but will be promptly cancelling.

Kaley K.

Yelp
I WILL NEVER COME TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. My girlfriend and I (both college students) came here for a date night dinner. A women sitting at the table next to us started screaming and swearing at us for being too loud (even after we apologized and said we'd be quieter). She then got the owner who rudely told us to be quiet or leave. 0/10 service. I'm hoping this situation didn't arise from the fact that my girlfriend and I are lesbians, but it is definitely possible that the owner of this restaurant is homophobic. If you are a college student or a member of the LGBTQ+ community do NOT come to this restaurant

Yelp
I've lived in Madison for 5 years. This is the best meal I've ever had here. We got the TORTELLINI CON PESTO and the SICILIAN STEAK, as well as baked ravioli. I mean. Every single part of this meal was fantastic. I had a glass of red and white wine, both were PERFECT. Liked that they had beer for my non-wine-drinking boyfriend. The music was really cute and subtle. Loved the decorations inside, felt Italian and both upscale & cozy. The chef came and spoke to us twice (he's great). Baked ravioli is always great, but this was the best I've ever had. Each meal was a flavor explosion in our mouths. Every bite I forgot how good the last bite was, and fell in love again. I cannot wait to recommend & take all my friends and family to this place. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!! Looking forward to making this D'Vino a staple.

Yelp
We had a drink at the bar next door and they suggested we go here instead of a different Italian restaurant we had planned on going to. There were a handful of other tables, but overall it was less than half full while we were there. We had to wait awhile to get menus, drinks and to order. The menu they had was about half of what they have posted online. We ordered and had been waiting awhile before they came out to tell us they were all out of chicken, which was about half of their already small menu. 4 of the 5 of us ordered something else. Almost two hours later from when we had been seated our food finally came out. I ended up ordering the more expensive steak over the chicken dish I wanted, I ordered it medium and it came out just under well done. My friend had switched from the tortellini with chicken to the tortellini with shrimp, which came out under cooked, with only 2 shrimp, which was an up charge from the chicken, and a twig from an herb with no herbs on it. One of my other friends got a steak, which was cooked correctly but with a side of pasta that was undercooked. 4 out of 5 of us had been served when they came over to check on how our food was. My friend had to remind them she was still waiting on her food and they couldn't remember what she had ordered. They said they'd hurry and make her meal, and about 5 minutes later they came out with some under cooked tortellini. We let them know about our issues but said we'd eat it anyway cause of how hungry we were after the long wait. They ended up taking off two drinks and one meal for the table. The bill came out and was still $200 with a 20% gratuity already added, and a couple of the items on the bill cost more than what was on their menu. When we were clearly upset, they sent the manager over. We let him know what had all happened and we got a lot of excuses about being super busy and understaffed. He said the twig was thyme that the tomatoes are cooked with, but didn't have an answer when my friend said there weren't any tomatoes in his dish. When we pointed out the price discrepancy, he said they hadn't had a chance to update the prices on the menu. They brought out a cannoli in a box for my friends birthday and upon opening it we found the saddest little 1 inch cannoli, which was just the cherry on top of the experience. The only saving grace is that the manager comped our food and we only had to pay for our drinks. We did leave a little extra cash tip for the waitress, as we recognized this wasn't her fault and she had tried her best to make things better for us. We also found out that the manager owned the bar next door that had suggested this restaurant. Overall it was a bad experience, I left wishing we hadn't been talked out of going to the other restaurant, and won't be coming back.

Yelp
What a treasure this restaurant is! Tucked away on King St, the small restaurant is large in ambiance, service and amazing food. Owner was very hands on and shared stories from his time in Sicily and about his family. Highly recommend!

Yelp
One of the best experiences I had going back to my old stomping grounds. The food was inspired & delicious. The owner was gracious. And they survived the virus with grace. Thank you! All the desserts are house made & delicious!

Yelp
Service and food are so-so. We went based on the menu posted online, which included Arancini and insilata di polpo. However, they apparently don't serve the full menu any longer and only serve specials and off the prix-fixe menu due to "covid19" per our server. Makes me think the website should be updated and or the link off OpenTable where they want you to make reservations. We had signed up for a special occasion (birthdays) but wasn't acknowledged. Bread was stale. Drinks were good at least but not sufficient to blot out the terrible memory of dining here for my spouse's birthday.

Yelp
Everything down to the water was impeccable! The food, environment, and wine was out of this world. It was literally eating your grandmothers recipes in the best way possible! The appetizers to entrees didn't even need a grain of salt, it was absolutely perfect, every God damn morsel of it. The desserts just topped it all off, washed it down with French pressed coffee and life was made.

Yelp
D'Vino was a great find. Authentic Italian dishes. Ryan was a great server who paced our evening meal. The antipasto and eggplant were good starters.

Yelp
I rarely bother to write reviews, but this restaurant is too much of a gem not to share the love. We ate there on Valentine's Day and everything was amazing. The service is warm and unpretentious. The ambience is charming. But most importantly, of course, the food--yum. Everything was flavorful and perfect, from the house made ricotta with crostini to the pear and gorgonzola pizza to the short rib with parmesan polenta. And don't forget about dessert. Chocolate lava cake, yes please. We'll definitely be back.
