"Dynasty Room, a semi-permanent bar located inside the iconic Four Seas Restaurant in Chinatown-International District, will remain open until February. Originally slated to close at the end of this month, the bar will continue to operate due to the delay in the demolition of Four Seas Restaurant. Dynasty Room, owned by I-Miun Liu, opened in April 2018 and won Eater Seattle’s 2018 Bar of the Year. It offers a variety of snacks and drinks, including deep-fried chicken wings with spicy orange sauce, marinated or fried chicken gizzards and hearts, kalbi short ribs, and dok boki, paired with cocktails, soju, and makgeolli." - Megan Hill

"Dynasty Room, from restaurateur I-Miun Liu, captures the zeitgeist of Seattle in 2018. It’s a haunting establishment with one foot firmly in the past, reviving the Chinatown-International District’s historic Four Seas restaurant for one last hurrah as a hip bar. It pays homage to the look of the past century, from faithful antiques like the bronze Japanese lanterns to modern nods like the giant cardboard wolf in the temple-like entrance. Dynasty Room’s other foot is in Seattle’s uncertain present, with tea- and herb-infused cocktails, Chinese and Korean bar snacks, a free event space for the community." - Adam H. Callaghan

"Dynasty Room is another Electric Coffin-designed bar that pays homage to the back bar at the shuttered Four Seas. It features herbs, teas, and other Chinese influences in its drinks, similar to East Trading Co." - Megan Hill

"Dynasty Room will open on April 1 in the International District, taking the place of the defunct Four Seas restaurant. The venue will feature herbal- and tea-infused cocktails, Eastern art influences from designer Electric Coffin, and a menu of Chinese- and Korean-inflected food. The Dynasty Room borrows its name from the back bar at the Four Seas, but the vintage feel will be replaced by new design: Eastern-influenced art, a glowing red entrance remade to resemble a 'sacred temple,' and custom wallpaper. When it opens, Dynasty Room’s hours will be 4 p.m. to close." - Megan Hill

Would definitely return. Went for happy hour on a Wednesday which was from 4-7. Food was on discount for $5 plates and $7.50 rice bowls. The cocktails themselves didn’t have a happy hour deal, but there were some deals on things like beer, Er... other things that I didn’t pay attention to. Nice space, definitely a more intimate spot for smaller groups. The cocktails were really good! My favourite was the one with “daisy” in the name, the first one on the menu. The bathrooms have interesting decor as well. I had a popcorn chicken rice bowl (delicious) and the oxtail (must have!!!!!). If I could again I would order two oxtails and a popcorn chicken (non rice bowl).

I’m happy that I visited the Dynasty Room especially because it has personal significance for me. My grandfather worked at Four Seas for decades and my family had countless meals and celebrations there. I was disappointed when Four Seas closed awhile back but it was a shadow of its former self. I was pleasantly surprised though when I heard that the bar portion was coming back temporarily before they tore the building down for affordable housing (the best possible outcome I’d say). I heard that Dynasty Room would be likely be closing in August so I made a visit in June with my mother who has memories of the place too. I appreciate what they’ve done with the place. The space is much smaller especially because the bar area is in the back room. The large wolf statue is a great touch and I was glad to know they left the counter at the left when you enter the building. The bar looks very nice and they kept the original intricate wood carving on the wall behind the seating along the wall. I visited during happy hour and shared a few plates. Everything was greasy and delicious just like bar food should be. The rice bowl that I had with minced pork, fried cauliflower, and a fried egg was flavorful and rich. The braised oxtail was tasty – they got a good char on the oxtails and it was fun to eat. The Oasis popcorn chicken was delicious as well and tasted great with the gochujang dipping sauce. Finally the kalbi ribs were fatty and flavorful like good kalbi ribs are. The bartender who was mixing drinks and taking and serving food was great too. I’m glad I visited and may come back before they close for good.

The ambience of this place is good. A very unusual entry with ping pong tables as you lead to the bar. The food menu was also interesting with pop corn chicken seem to be a favorite. Overall it wasn’t supper crowded. The music was also the right volume. Would recommend if you are looking for a place with character.

Drink had “daisies” in the name, made with vodka and china mist syrup and it was DELICIOUS. really awesome cocktails. Super cool space. The kalbi ribs were really yummy and the popcorn chicken. Beyond sad this place is headed for the wrecking ball, come while you can!

Sat at the bar and ordered soju, kal-bi short ribs, and popcorn chicken. It wasn't too busy. For was good, service started off mediocre and ended great. Thanks Michael and Kat for the conversation.

The tall tables with no chairs are annoying but overall a great dive. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. The drinks are unique (refreshing).

The food was incredible, and fast. The happy hour deals are super fair, and also extend into Saturday! The service was fast and the bartender are very sociable and kind. The atmosphere is unique, it's dim and dark a just a bit small so it feels like the cosiness of a nice bar, but decorated well with eastern art to lend it more of a cultured speak easy kind of feel Excellent liquor selection, cocktail goers should definitely put this spot on their map

This is a cool space and is a little hidden. I read it was in Four Seas Restaurant, but I definitely felt like I was in the wrong place as I walked into the seemingly abandoned restaurant. But sure enough, there's a hip little bar in back. The cocktails are good and the prices are good as well. They also had a great selection of appetizers with some good vegetarian options
