The Best London Cafes and Coffee Shops with WiFi for Freelancers - Eater London

"E5 Bakehouse is returning to the upper echelons of London’s bakeries, and its Poplar offshoot — built on a relationship with the U.K. Refugee Council that provides training and funding — replicates its success with flat breads, great coffee, and pizza and music on Friday evenings. The perfect end to a week of work." - James Hansen

Where to Find the Best Breakfast Sandwiches in London - Eater London

"It begins with the bread: a rhomboid ‘Gilchester Bun’ named after the Northumberland farm whence sister site E5 Bakehouse sources its heritage flour. Split, toasted and buttered, its ‘chew’ demands a bit of jaw action but nothing beyond the capabilities of a hungover human. Stuffed inside is good frazzly Blackhand bacon and two boiled egg halves seasoned up with salt and cracked pepper. —Hilary Armstrong" - Feroz Gajia, Helen Graves, Adam Coghlan, Hilary Armstrong, Jonathan Nunn

Their bread is amazing! So chewy and soft inside and crusty outside. I’m not a bread person, but I cannot stop eating their bread. The coffee is good especially with their baked stuff. We had brunch and the dishes were all so tasty with good quality ingredients. It’s so nice to sit outside in the sunshine when the weather is nice and warm. I highly recommend it. They also have ingesting exhibitions on the wall.

What not to say?! The food is delicious and yummy. Their bread is flavorful and fresh and the pastries are mouthwatering especially the babka and pain au chocolate. Not only did I like the food but the place is magnificent and worthy. I do recommend it so much and my thanks for the staff for their work. Thank you for bringing this bakehouse to the neighbor.

Great place! Good coffee, food and pastry! Nice staff! Only 'downside' it's that sometimes the coffee machine closes too soon(2 pm) sometimes

Modern cafe in a great location adjacent to canal, park and playground. Accessible and very child/family/dog friendly too wi0th indoor and outdoor seating. Food is good quality and they do daily specials such as shakshuka and halloumi rolls. Very tasty. Sweet treats here are very good and freshly made too with plenty to choose from such as pastries, cakes and brownies etc. Definitely worth a visit. Worth noting they are into their zero waste philosophy here, so can buy things from their small shop inside (oats, beans etc), but it also means no takeaway cups. So if you want takeaway drinks remember your own mug!!! Only reason not 5 stars is due to my coffee tasting very bitter today (maybe some people like it that way?) but will happily go again.

E5 sourdough bread is number 1 in London, and I was so happy when I found they have a bigger cafe where we can set and eat. Their bread is the best in London, and I like there egg and halloumi bun taste really good and the cheese toast was okay. Their croissant and cinnamon bun are good as well. They have some good grocery options as well. The area where this cafe is open is nice as there is a playground near by so we can sit and enjoy our food and coffee while kids are playing. The only downside is the customer service, staff needs to be more friendly and service can be a bit faster.

This is a lovely cafe to visit for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Freshly baked breads and cakes are served with delicious teas or coffee. There are many vegan options for breakfast too. You can also buy from a small selection of dry food sold buy the weight such a lentils. The weather was excellent and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. There is not a lot of parking available next to the canal or in general so it would be a great stop on a canalside walk.

Nice coffee. Good selection of pastries and artisan bread. We had a Cheese and Potato pasty which was not very flavorsome and quite expensive for what it was, pastry was delicious though.

Nice open space with outdoor sitting overlooking a park. The coffee is good, pastries look tasty, however the were out of vegan options in the afternoon.
