"If grab-and-go coffee and pastries speak to you, or if you enjoy sitting outside whether it's raining or boiling, then go to EaDough Pastries & Provisions in, well, EaDo. The tiny aqua-colored beacon shines from its niche cut into the side of a warehouse. After placing your order at the window, which should include one of the guava danishes, you can loaf around on the postage stamp-sized elevated deck or hang at one of the picnic tables and admire the various dogs parading down the hike and bike trail." - chelsea thomas
"For those mornings when all you have the energy for is a quick coffee and a pastry, hit up the aptly named Eadough Pastries & Provisions. What the cafe—essentially just a tiny but cute service window carved into the side of a renovated warehouse—lacks in seating, is made up for with piles of pastries. Like chocolate croissants, guava cream cheese danishes, and soft blueberry muffins. Order a dozen assorted to go for the office, or an espresso and a couple handhelds for yourself. Eadough also serves a limited lunch menu with smash burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches." - chelsea thomas, gianni greene

"Chef Kripa Shenoy’s walk-up bakery in the fittingly named East Downtown district has seen an outpouring of local love since opening in 2022. With a traditional French fine-dining background and family ties to India, Kripa’s two influences shine in her pastries ranging from the mango Kouign Amann to the guava cream cheese Danish. Grab a cereal milk latte to wash it all down with beans sourced from local Blackwater coffee roasters." - Brittany Britto Garley
