Eagle Rock Kabob - Review - Eagle Rock - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"With Glendale on the other side of the 2, Eagle Rock tends to be overshadowed when it comes to kabob and shawarma spots. That said, Eagle Rock Kabob is a fantastic place to know about. The order-at-the-counter spot is tucked inside a large strip mall off Eagle Rock Boulevard, so don’t be upset if you drive past it on your first go-around. We love the spicy, smoky chicken shawarma, and the salmon kabob wrap is a great walk-and-eat. Just don’t miss the Russian dumplings, which you’ll find on a tiny separate menu hanging on the wall. They’re dense, and cheesy, with a big herbaceous pop from fresh dill." - Brant Cox

Google
Service is always great! However, I used to love this place more when they first opened because the food was always served hot and the quality was great. The beef Shawarma wrap is good, but the sauce made it a bit soggy. I was expecting more quinoa and other ingredients in the tabbouleh, it was more like a parsley only salad. Beef Shawarma is good, it's basically Mediterranean al pastor.

Google
I really liked this place. Good menu, lots of variety. We were served by Mike, a very polite, pleasant man. We took a plate with beef and a chicken wrap. The meat is very tasty and the beef and chicken are very juicy, the salad is fresh crispy and the hummus is delicious. A small room, and a few places to sit outside, first you make an order, then they bring you food in disposable dishes. We ate everything in 5 minutes because the food was so delicious. I definitely want to come again

Google
The chicken Kabob is superb!! Basmati rice is perfectly cooked and very well balanced with a small salad, grilled tomato and my favorite garbanzo bean hummus. I can't wait to go back!!

Google
We were looking for a Mediterranean spot near us via Google maps search and I was surprised that I never noticed this spot before (we come to the Sprouts next door on occasion). So, the place doesn't stand out, but the reviews seemed reasonable, so off we went. Wow! The food presentation alone put a smile on my face (pic is after I had eaten some already). Happy to say that everything tasted just as wonderful - fresh, light, tasty. My husband was impressed with the tenderness and flavor of both the chicken and beef. He had the beef kabob with humus, for our 3 year old I ordered the kids chicken kebab with rice (thumbs up for having a kid's menu!), and I had one of their specials - lentil fried rice sans meat. Apart from the food, the owner (I believe) who took our order and the cook who also served us were great. Neither overly friendly or impatient, they were a pleasure to be serviced by. They look you in the eye when speaking, are accommodating, polite, professional. Makes a difference, big time. All that to say that this hole-in-the-wall restaurant has made it to our go-to list. We'll be back agin and again as long as they're here.

Google
The most delicious food! Owner is nice and the food is fantastic! Will ask them to do our next events catering! Good job guys.

Google
Today is third visit. Tried the scratch made lentil soup (everything is scratch made except the grape leaves)..Super delicious. Also am trying the shawarma quesadilla and man is it good!! I got my usual drink, the Armenian coffee. Everything here is excellent. Tony the owner is outstanding!! I’m losing track of the number of my visits to this excellent restaurant. Today I’m having a delicious salmon kabab + kale salad + terragon soda! The photo I took isn’t the best and I should have shot it before I polished off most of the salmon. Thank you, Tony! 👍🏼🏁🍻 Today’s lunch in second photo. That’s a house salad with the delicious buttermilk vinaigrette, and a chicken kebab on a bed of the Lentil Fried Rice.

Google
I lived in Dubai UAE for 7yrs and I have always missed the Arabic food including kebobs, tikka, shawarma etc. I wasn’t expecting much from my order but got thrilled with the tenderness and tastiness of the meat, the salsa that comes with it is amazing (so am good even though they do not serve it with garlic sauce and hummus), the salad is amazing too. This is worth the price.. i would surely be coming back all the time.

Google
Ordered chicken shawarma wrap they gave me cold wrap With microwave heated meat. Updated with pics. Dude doesn't follows clean guidelines handles money and goes to cook. Literally uses frozen stuff. Shawarma not supposed to be frozen. Also who knows how old his frozen meat is. Wasn't able to finish it walked out shocked. Get better with service. Not reccomend

Yelp
Food was ridiculously good! Owner was super nice and accommodating for my gluten allergy. And the portions were massive! I'm going back ASAP

Yelp
Grabbin Dinnn, Forgot o photograph the amazing meal we received. We got a kids chicken kabob, some nuggets and a Caesar Salad Wrap. All very fresh very bussin'. They were close to closing thyme when we arrived so the ambiance was closing thyme vibes for sure. But the food was excellent, made to order and delishes. Forgot to photograph the food tho sorry will do next thyme.

Yelp
Will grab food to go from here on occasion. I usually get the gyro which isn't on the standard menu but has seem to be a special every single time I've gone.

Yelp
Came for a quick bite. It was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon, which is nice when your toddler is running around. Lamb/beef gyro with mini side of your choice for $15. It was excellent and just what I wanted. Ordered the falafel and hummus for aforementioned toddler. Came with lavash. Falafel was very seasoned. Comes with 3 for $8. Good value, took like 10 minutes, everything tasted really fresh. Would come again to try other sides and menu items.

Yelp
Not worth it for the price. Never come back. Im not satisfied. I ask the guy, what do you recommend?" And he said, what you want?
google avatar

Sean O.

Yelp
This is my first visit here. I got the Chicken Kabob and Beef Luleh plate. Both the chicken and beef luleh were filled with flavor. The chicken also had a nice char to it unlike other places. The side of hummus made a nice touch and extra flavors with the dish. You get a lot of food for the price and the meal was to go. I'd recommend this place to friends and family. I'm definitely coming back and trying other dishes.
google avatar

Lizzie L.

Yelp
Came by and was pleasantly surprised by their delicious food as this is a tiny spot in the Sprouts shopping center. Ordered a chicken schwarma plate that was tender and flavorful. It included a small salad that had a salad dressing that I wish I could replicate at home, the tastes just exploded my taste buds in a good way. I also had a side of their tzatziki which was rich and creamy and something you should not miss to accompany your meal. Service was friendly, the manager/owner was ready to recommend dishes and answer questions.

Richard P.

Yelp
Great folks, super friendly, quick service and delicious food at a reasonable price. Located near sprouts.

Yelp
Ate in with friends. All 3 of us enjoyed it. But probably better to take out. No real atmosphere and no restroom. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Yelp
Great food, go here regularly to get food for dinner meetings for the Pasadena Tri Club. Love the beet salad especially but the kabobs are always awesome too/

Yelp
They have a variety of food on their menu such as house specials, Wraps, specialtySpeciality wraps, Combo Plates, Salads, and extra side dishes. There was a seating area inside and outside with the door open, the sun shining through the window making it very welcoming. I ordered a Chicken Kabob Plate which included Basmati rice, House salad, Pita bread, grilled tomatoes. And 1 small side of choice. My mom, brother, and I sat down outside and waited for my food. After about 15 minutes we received our food and I was quite excited to try it since it was something I had never tried before. I took one bite of the chicken and rice and instantly started digging into my food. The rice was perfect and tasted similar to cilantro lime rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so was the tomato. The tomato and chicken had a bit of char which added an additional flavor to it, including the salad which gave it a refreshing feeling. The pita bread tied it all together being able to incorporate the chicken, rice, and tomatoes together almost like a taco. I can't forget about the fries! They were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Overall everything about this restaurant was amazing and I would absolutely eat here again.

Yelp
New business and a welcome addition to Eagle Rock. Great food reasonable prices. The combo plates are delicious as filling with a nice variety of delicious sides. Definitely give it a go. The service is counter but the atmosphere is clean and fresh.

Yelp
The BEST seasoned french fries!!! Greek salad with chicken kabob also tasty. Kids beef kabob with rice: large portion and my kid liked it. Friendly staff and fun games to play while you wait for your food. Solid spot.

Alex D.

Yelp
Delicious food. The chicken kabob was so fresh and juicy. The beef kabob was delicious, and I also had the chicken lulu, seasoned perfectly. The fries were incredible and the yogurt tzatziki was so good with all the meats. I will be coming back
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly staff along with a side of Delicious, fresh, fast and generous serving sizes. My go to lunch when I'm in Eagle rock area!

Cecily J.

Yelp
Amazing food. Great service. The cucumber yogurt (taziki) and chicken breast kabob were great.
google avatar

Melissa H.

Yelp
Always fresh, always tasty. Great quality ingredients. I live near by so I usually get my kabob fix every few weeks. One of my favorite kabob restaurants. :) My husband and I love the food.
google avatar

Erika R.

Yelp
Yummy food. I give it 5 stars. The taste and portion was perfect for me. Definitely my new go to. God I found this place
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
Great food and the most kind staff. I had to change my takeout order a few times. It was not a problem. Thanks again, for going above and beyond. Did I say the food was yummy. I love they had a fish option. Salmon was wonderful.

Anna S.

Yelp
Customer service is horrible. They never help people in time. I wait for my order more 10 minutes and after had to cancel
google avatar

Wes R.

Yelp
Beet salad! Kabobs were cooked perfect. Bean paste was tasty. Have some unique drinks on frig, check them out. Quick table delivery

DOKTOR Z.

Yelp
If you love dogshit food at premium prices, then run to this place. It's especially awful. They don't know how to make fries, their chicken is weird and chewy, their yogurt and cucumber sauce is NOT tzatziki but some weird stringer sour cream-like goo, and they'll even take one Roma tomato and char it for 2 seconds on a grill and add it to your dish like it's something fucking special. I don't know how it has so many good reviews unless they bus a bunch of captive retirees from a nursing home and steal their phones to write the reviews themselves.
google avatar

Melissa D.

Yelp
Wow wow wow! What a gem of a place! The food and quality was impeccable. Blown away by how delicious the food was. The beef was perfectly seasons and juicy along with the chicken kabob. Im obsessed with all of their sides and grilled jalapeño. Already craving more for dinner! So happy I was able to try the delicious food here - the chef has a ton of experience and it shows!
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
GOOD QUALITY FOOD. Simple as that. Super tasty. Everything delicious. Good easy vibe and cool owner. Thanks, Tony. You made my day.

Yelp
Best Mediterranean food ever! Every time we're in the area, it's a MUST! Even if it's consecutive days, so delicious, never boring. Always order ahead, service is amazing and they have the best chocolate chip cookies! A definite hidden gem. We have tried the chicken, lamb, and beef kabobs and they're all spectacular. Hummus and Shirazi salad are great too! Love this place and wish there was another on the west side of the valley.
google avatar

Cris S.

Yelp
Great spot to get very flavorful, well seasoned kabobs, kids had beef and chicken kabobs, wife and I had beef and chicken kabob plates. Chocolate chips were delicious! Saw review from someone and had to try it, it truly was awesome, very moist and chewy! Highly recommend this place with lots of parking which is one thing a lot of restaurants lack in the area so we always look for places to eat with ample parking.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
The people are GREAT and the food is very good. The beef was a little tough and dry. The chicken was delicious. The babaganosh is very good. The basmati rice IS AWESOME!
google avatar

Annon Y.

Yelp
Great chicken breast kabobs and also the best cookies ! The owner is chill and very attentive. Also I never had to wait to long for food.
google avatar

Lilit A.

Yelp
I love this place. The food is perfect. The chocolate chip cookies are amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Yvonne B.

Yelp
The rice was old and burnt. The chicken was over seasoned. I'm so nauseous just thinking about it. This place has potential. Unfortunately, the food is not good. Pricey and not worth the quality.

Jackson F.

Yelp
The food Tastes so incredibly good you can taste the love and passion they cook with in every bite. The quality of meats are above all others and the family oriented way of serving food is my favorite part. The humas is above all the rest. The love and passion they workers show and give is so heartfelt and genuine.
google avatar

Johnson L.

Yelp
Great local kabob place - fair prices and some of the best chicken kabob already. I think their hummus is where they really stand out too
google avatar

Enrique M.

Yelp
Came here for the first time And food is amazing will definitely Come back again Plus Tony was pretty cool and friendly...(great service) I had the chicken breast with rice
google avatar

Maribel M.

Yelp
This place has very good quality food for descent prices, lost aid vegetarian options. It's super clean and the service is really good
google avatar

Vickie V.

Yelp
Ordered from Postmates today after having this place recommended by someone. I'm glad I tried this place out. I had the beef luleh kabob with the cucumber yogurt. The meat was perfectly flavored as was the rice. The salad was also very good and as mentioned in other reviews, a spring mix rather than romaine lettuce is used (the dressing is also tasty). I love cucumber yogurt and this version was not my favorite. I make a better Mast-o Khiar. So, I would have given this place a 4.5 but since half stars aren't available, I didn't want to deduct a star for a personal preference on a side. I also ordered the lamb chops for my mom and tried her plate as well. The lamb chops were yummy and not overly salty. The seasoned fries were also bomb. Definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
Food was great, tasty, healthy, good portion size. Inexpensive. No ambience bc it's a storefront in a mini mall. The server was friendly and the food came out quickly. A good new neighborhood kabob place. Yay!
google avatar

Rustum N.

Yelp
You know how things become familiar & then you forget it ? I used to come here for lunch (I worked next door) years ago and I remember we liked it. Today I came back. Ordered beef lule with the side dishes & I must say they can give Massis or Raffis a run for their money. It's tender & tasty, filling enough. The best part is you don't have to look your best , just have to feel it!
google avatar

Dawn H.

Yelp
Great food! Delicious! We will definitely be back. We got our order to go, and don't forget a cookie!!

Annette A.

Yelp
Worth the 32 mile drive!!!! We are a family of 4 and all have delicious options there. The food is always so fresh and it's a very welcoming establishment.
google avatar

Lin H.

Yelp
Horrible service and people. Food is grossly overrated, but more importantly people are absolute worst, rude, disrespectful. They should not be in business. They curse out customers and bluntly show they don't give a shit about clients. Please take your hard earned money somewhere else where they will appreciate your business and provide great food. This is a disgusting establishment and management.
google avatar

Kari L.

Yelp
I've only eaten here once but I was not impressed. I ordered for pickup via an app and was sitting in the parking lot waiting for the notification that my order was ready. I went as soon as the app said it was good to go. They were ready quickly and I picked up my order. The gentleman behind the counter was not wearing a mask. I ordered the Shwarma Fries. They looked a mess but that's to be expected with a loaded fries sort of a dish. The fries themselves were barely warm and soggy. The food came in a black Styrofoam container that was full of condensation inside. The chicken wasn't tasty at all and the textures were all sort of mushy. I ate about three bites and then threw it away and went to get something from another store in the shopping center. Disappointing and I haven't been back. I have been told that the kabobs are good though, so I may have to give it another shot.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
NO MASKS. I'm sorry guys.... It's the end of 2021, there's a major spread. It's a small business, the food is good. But I'm not trusting people with my food who don't take public health seriously anymore. I'll be back when COVID is over. If you don't care about COVID, well you suck, but you should eat here.
google avatar

Andreas K.

Yelp
From the almost historic appearing pre-covid era: The people were incredibly friendly, not unnaturally, taking the order and getting a fresh and delicious takeout done in a short moment. Common and equally delicious choices... such as kabobs, shawarma, salads, and a bunch of sides such as humus, tabouli ... Was a great quick choice back then, and I hope they continue to do so ...
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Hell yes. I don't recommend the " meal", just get the wrap. But this place is outstanding! Worth the trip from Malibu.

Alex C.

Yelp
food was good but it was a bit overpriced for the portion provided. would go back for the lamb!

Yesha H.

Yelp
MUST GO HERE! DELICIOUS! I called up Mark with a huge order in not a huge amount of time. Him and Tony made it happen! So appreciative and my whole team is not only grateful to them but it was DELICIOUS, filling but not too heavy. THANK YOU! (I'd attach a photo but I gobbled my wrap down so fast! )

Yelp
My boyfriend Ian mentioned one day that the owner Tony of @eaglerockkabob which he always raves about, used to be an executive chef at some fancy restaurant and he bought this place from a friend's dad just a few months prior. Few weeks ago Ian asked me if I wanted to have Valentines day dinner at the kabob house. I was confused. Ian continued, Tony misses planning fancy menus SO much that he is shutting down the restaurant on V-day and is hosting a seated-and-served special dinner service with a an exquisite 7 course meal just for 12 guests. I was blown away by the story and said Yes!!!!!! Last night when we walked into the restaurant, little did we know we were in for a completely different kind of experience. All the menu boards and usual kabob house clutter were gone. In their place were simple and elegant string lights to set a romantic tone and elegantly set candle-lit tables waiting for us. We knew we were in for a treat when the first course arrived. Appetizers were followed by 5 different courses of mini entrees: scallops, pork belly, duck 2 ways, salmon fettuccini and beef cheeks. And finally a tasteful charcuterie plate for dessert. Chef Tony was mixing ingredients we would usually think won't go together. Every single dish was made with a lot of finesse. Well-rounded, rich and meaty dishes cooked to melt-in-your-mouth rich and velvety yumminess. It was like the chef brought those ingredients back from the dead. Each dish was elevated by a creamy and moist sauce that didn't just make the plates look pretty but paired perfectly with the meat and veggies. Wish I had a bottomless pit for a stomach because I definitely wanted more than I could fit. Any other fancy restaurant in LA would have charged us easily in the upwards of $250/person for a meal this good. And still chef Tony would give them fancy chefs a run for their money with just his pork belly. Hands down The best pork belly i've ever had! I'm always intrigued by businesses with a good story and last night's Valentines Day dinner was right up my alley.

Yelp
I've had the Chicken kabob with the beets salad several times in the past, but unfortunately I got FOOD POISONING yesterday from here. Please double check the cleanliness of your work area. I might or maybe go back.
