"The Fredericksburg restaurant offers Central Texas barbecue with Korean touches, such as pork ribs with gochujang or kimchi fried rice, plus keep an eye out for specials such as raspberry-chipotle pork belly burnt ends or the Korean fried rib bowl. Takeout orders can be placed in person; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in areas." - Erin Russell, Nadia Chaudhury

My husband and I came here for lunch and we were not disappointed!! I love that they offer i door and outdoor seating. Now, the food is DELICIOUS!! The meat was nice and tender. Mac and cheese was DELICIOUS. Not that Kraft crap that I can make at home!! HIGHLY recommend getting your BBQ fix here. Also. The owners are SUPER sweet and approachable.

Oh my goodness! We had a half pound of brisket, 50/50 mix of wet and lean. Delicious! Excellent bbq sauce and it came with pickles, red onions, bread and jalapeños. We also had a link of bulgogi sausage which was as good as the brisket! Cucumber salad was good, but next time I will try the kimchi fried rice. Absolutely worth a stop; we are already planning our next visit.

Wonderfully slow cooked meats that would beat out any big chain and holds their own in the culture of historic Fredricksburg. The pulled pork is a huge favorite (as seen in pictures) along with the chopped brisquet sandwich. Choices of sides and local brews.

Small family owned place. We had the brisket, pulled pork, jalapeño cheddar sausage with the beans & potato salad. Meats were great & sides were good as well. Even got to talk with the owner & check out the pits.

Nice place for barbecue! We ordered a quarter pound of ribs, quarter pound of gochujang ribs, half pound of turkey, cream corn, and beans. We were satisfied with our meal, with the exception of the gochujang ribs, we didn’t like those. There were quite a few flies when we were ordering, so that would be my only complaint. Good barbecue!

Eaker Barbecue in Fredericksburg, TX is amazing!! We're so happy we stopped by. We were so excited about the Korean and Texas BBQ mix, so we had to try a few sides. The kimchi, kimchi fried rice, and Korean cucumber salad were great! The brisket was just right. In addition, we got the lemon cookies as dessert as recommended. Overall, highly recommend if you're in the area. If we lived here, we'd be here all the time!

If you’re a die-hard BBQ fan who doesn’t need friendly service, this might be your spot. The food at Eaker is undeniably excellent—perfectly smoked meats with a creative Asian fusion twist that adds an exciting layer of flavor to classic Texas BBQ. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the ribs had just the right balance of smokiness and spice, and the unique gochujang selections were a standout. The atmosphere is just as impressive as the food—modern yet rustic, with ample space that makes for a great dining experience. It’s the kind of place you’d love to bring friends, if only the service matched the quality of everything else. Unfortunately, that’s where things fell apart. The staff seemed irritated by basic questions about the menu, responding with short, dismissive answers that made it clear they didn’t have time for anything beyond taking your order. It was off-putting, especially for first-time visitors unfamiliar with their specialty dishes. Bottom line: If you know your BBQ and don’t need a welcoming server to guide you, the food and ambiance make it worth a visit. But if you expect a bit of hospitality along with your meal, be prepared for some attitude with your brisket.
