Best deal in the city for Bottomless mimosas at $25. Food is great and atmosphere is awesome, especially the patio in the summer. Caitlin, our server, was amazing and made sure our mimosas were never empty for more than a minute. Easy 5-stars.

⭐️⭐️ Earls Kitchen has a fantastic atmosphere and creative cocktails. The Marilyn Monroe cocktail was a delightful mix of flavors, and the ambiance felt upscale yet relaxed. I also really enjoyed the spicy shrimp sushi roll—fresh and with just the right amount of heat. However, my dining experience took a turn when I saw mice running around the dining area. It was unsettling, to say the least, and I decided not to order anything else. I mentioned it to the staff, but the response seemed lackluster. Given the quality of the food and drinks, I hope they address this issue because it's a major concern for hygiene and overall dining experience. Until then, I'm not sure if I'll be returning.

Came with my husband and a couple friends for dinner and had a great time! Two of us got the classic burger, super juicy and fresh, my husband got an impossible burger which was light but good and the carnitas tacos were great! They come in orders of two so our server Gabby suggested adding a third to be a more filling meal. The cheesecake wasn’t as sweet as we wanted BUT the key lime pie was delicious!! Super fresh and the line was perfectly bitter and balances with the sweet base! Gabby our server was awesome! She gave great suggestions and had a fun energy and sense of humor! Definitely would come back and try more options next time. Couldn’t post the key like without taking a bite first - we might even stop by just to grab desert next time!

We went there on valentines day to try the experience menu. We had a rough start when we got denied the complimentary glass of prosecco, as my girlfriend left her ID in the car even though I had my ID and we are both way over our 21st. Which to some extent I understand their reasoning behind this but I'm pretty sure an underage couple wouldn’t drive across town to have a 200 dollar dinner. I had to walk back to the car to grab her ID and we decided to order a bottle of wine and received the most terrible and shocking service experience ever, our table wasn't being attended to and I personally had to pour the wine into our glasses even though we had eye contact with our server multiple times. To give them credit food was delicious but it again took them an awfully long time to bring the food, the entire thing took well over 2 hours for 3 courses even though we explicitly said we have a different commitment after dinner, luckily we barely made it. So if you're ever gonna go there make sure its a not so busy time if you want to get server. Definitely not the type of experience you'd expect from fine dining.

I ate dinner on a weekday in January 2024. There were very few people dining in which I don’t mind as that typically means fast service. My waitress was courteous and helpful in explaining my options as it was Restaurant Week in Chicago and I am plant-based. I couldn’t take full advantage of the Restaurant Week three-course meal deal because Earl’s did not have a vegan desert option. I got the Bangkok bowl which was surprising tasty. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes rice dishes and fried tofu. My only criticism is the lack of vegan desert options and the pricing. My meal with a Sprite and tip was over $40. The three-course meal would have been roughly $40 before tip.

The service is meh. Our table got bottomless mimosa and they RARELY come over to refill ours. We had to keep wagging them down for the champagne. I ordered a chicken and waffle and it was a FROZEN waffle. My friend didn’t get enough fried chicken and we had to ask for more… my friend’s Benedict missed an entire slice of bread. Maybe it was a busy day but maybe they need to figure out the staff situation.

We had a brunch get together with a couple friends here and we’re not totally impressed. The restaurant looks really nice and we did enjoy the outside dining since it was nice out. We made reservations only to find out we were waitlisted on arrival. However we actually didn’t even need reservations because it was completely empty when we arrived anyways. The waitstaff was very nice, good customer service. The menu was pricey and the actual food wasn’t nearly as good as we hoped. Both of our egg dishes really lacked any seasoning. It’s a nice space just disappointed in the lack of actual taste in the dishes given the price point — nothing special.

Earls is amazing! The food is excellent and the service is even better. We had a large party including several kids and they were not only able to accommodate us last minute but they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was St. Patrick's day weekend and they brought us green water for the kids to match our green mimosas. So much fun! The food was amazing too. I ordered the poke bowl and it was excellent everyone else enjoyed their meals as well. Thanks Trevor and Caitlin for making our day one to remember.

What a great spot to find in the Lincoln Park area. Unlike many of the nicer places in the city, the setup of this restaurant is much more spread out and relaxed, so that you don't feel cramped or rushed while dining -- and the noise level is low enough that you can easily hear others in your party or the staff without really raising your voice. For a restaurant that feels more upscale, the prices are also surprisingly reasonable and every element of the decor, menu, service, etc. feels intentional. One of the standout features here was definitely the service. Our server Gary was very knowledgeable about the menu, was quick to provide drinks, helped us pay efficiently, and provided wonderful suggestions for things to do nearby. I think the last time I had such prompt and courteous service was at Ramsay's restaurant, which really helped to elevate our experience. Even outside of that, the staff that helped to bring our food to the table and to help us with a group picture were also very kind and full of smiles while providing service. Even if the food wasn't as good, the quality of service alone is reason enough to bring friends, co-workers, and clients here where I'm confident that they will be served well. Also equally nice is the setup of the restaurant. Since I was with a group of friends that I hadn't seen a while, we needed a spot that was easy to converse in. Earls really provided the perfect setup here, with comfortable seating, comfortable lighting, plenty of refills, a reasonable noise level for a completely full restaurant, and a good amount of spacing between tables. The bathrooms are also quite spacious, very clean, and decorated nicely. I reiterate again how difficult something like this is to find in the city, particularly in the Lincoln Park area and reasonably close to the loop. The entire Newcity shopping area is in fact perfect for this, with a generously spaced out setup that's similar to what you see in the suburbs -- where you can casually try out a variety of shops and hang out in the courtyard. The food also was quite good here as well. While it's not the best version of every dish that I've ever had, the portion sizes are filling and the presentation is outstanding. Given the affordable pricing, not really any different from what you'd expect to pay for dinner anywhere nearby, it's fantastic that elegance is so affordable and there are options to fit all needs from pizzas to steaks to poke bowls to pastas. The ingredients are fresh in every dish and it's clear that effort is put into plating everything in an orderly and attractive manner. The menu here isn't enormous but all the menu items are done fairly well and I feel that every ingredient put into each plate is carefully chosen and intentional. Overall, excellent place to bring a group with affordable food in a more upscale setting. Definitely a good place to go if you need a more spacious setting and less noise so that you can hear others in the group. The service here is definitely a standout feature.

The food was ok. Was is it the best poke bowl, no. Was the meat very good, no. The ambiance is great though I'll give it that. If you want to go to a very cute restaurant and have some drinks this is the place for you. The service was pretty good, but again the food was very average/ok. If you're looking for a delicious restaurant this certainly is not the place for it. There are many other restaurants nearby that have MUCH better food. Our bill came out to about $200 for four people, so if you don't want to pay $20-35 per entree for decent food, maybe avoid this spot. Plus my mom had a long hair in her poke bowl, and this was on Mother's Day, not a nice surprise

Im suprised at all the good reviews on this spot but then again I ate here during my vegetarian days aka I eat meat only once a week so my visit here was during my non meat days so take this review with a grain of salt. Who knows, maybe the meat dishes here are fantastic but I can tell you the overpriced vegetarian options are trash...lol Flavorless and bland is the name of the day here...And be prepared to pay like 25 bucks for a bowl of salad mix with zero dressing (I had to ask for dressing which didn't help) and badly cooked what is supposed to be jasmine rice and chopped up mushrooms and all bland to boot. The avocado corn dip was pretty worthless as well and tortilla chips fried hard and greasy. The ambiance and the look of the place and nice waitstaff is the reason for the one star. Maybe I will come back and try some meat dishes on my meat day and see if this place actually delivers.

Went here before a show at the Steppnwolf. It's very close, only a few minute way from here. A reservation was easy to grab on a Friday night for 6pm so a major perk. I'd just call this place a little above average in terms of food but service was not great. Our server was Kaitlyn who was missing in action most of our meal, which was less than an hour. I asked for a straw for water, but didn't get one until our entrees were delivered, nor was I asked again if I wanted to order anything else to drink. I will say our truffle tortellini dishes were good. I needed more parm and added crushed red peppers for some heat, but the dish was still nicely done. I had steak in mine at medium temp, my steak was perfect. It was so tender, which I the reason for my 4 stars because this can often go amiss. I would suggest this restaurant as a prelude to a show at the steppeneolf. Also, it seems like a cute spot during the simmer for its terrace area.

For a chain restaurant, this place delivers on quality, taste, service, and ambiance in a no-frills way. We sat at the bar and got a couple of appetizers. My Sauvignon bland was a refreshing addition. Food came out quickly, and everything tasted great! Here's what we got- all were great portions too: Crispy shrimp roll- great Americanized sushi without feeling like you're eating something super fried and drenched with sauce Truffle fries- crispy and delicious with the aioli sauce Buffalo cauliflower - nice spice and crispy Angry chicken lettuce wraps- fresh and also has a nice crunch and overall Asian flavor

Not sure if this is the same Earls that I used to eat at in Canada, but it is definitely more chic. the food was like a fancier american diner. nothing to brag about, just a good solid food with nice service. take the family, take kids. it is a nice "regular" place, just don't expect too much.

My husband and I met some friends for dinner at Earls Kitchen + Bar, and we had a great time! Our friends were visiting from out of state and I wanted to give them a great experience. At Earls, we had an elevated dining experience without elevated prices. The decor and bathrooms made it feel elegant and fancy. Our sever, Gary, was very friendly and gave us great advice on the menu. I had the bacon cheese burger. It was great. The table shared the sticky toffee pudding and cheesecake for dessert. The dessert was better than their entrées. The entire trip to Earls Kitchen and Bar was fantastic. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Caitlyn was an amazing server! She was very fast and efficient. The food was also amazing. Everyone loved their meal. The cocktails were also super yummy! Can't wait to go back and try new menu items.

We stopped at Earls before watching the awesome play, Purpose, at the Steppenwolf, a 6-minute walk. Our server Kristie was very attentive. She Recommended the underrated ribs, I agree they were wonderful. I ordered ribs and a chicken half plate. More than enough and I was not hungry for dinner. But the chicken was tough. The ribs, potatoes And cole slaw bottom was very good. My wife was very pleased with her spicy tuna rolls. Wonderful experience.

Had the nitro espresso martini on tap and it was delicious and very spirit forward lol! We were only planning on drinks but one thing led to another and we ordered truffle fries and pizza to snack on! Kitchen was open late

What a great hidden gem! My partner and I came in tonight for a cocktail and ended up ordering a few apps as well. The angry chicken lettuce wraps are TO DIE FOR!!!!!! That sauce does magical things to my taste buds. We had a variety of their cocktails - the strawberry smokeshow was delicious! The bartender, Lucas, shared that they have 1/2 off margaritas all day on Mondays! We will definitely be back to enjoy an evening at the firepits for the best summer vibe. Cannot wait to bring my friends here.

Great food and service! Our waitress, Caroline, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. She was outstanding; definitely ask for her when you go in. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice as well.

We ordered a few meals and took them home. The flavors are complex and make you want more. Everything was well seasoned, even the basic burger and fries have a fresh taste. We didn't feel sluggish at all after. The portions looked small however, we didn't finish any of it and had to come back to it. I will have to come back and dine in to enjoy the ambiance and nice staff.

There's happy hour and then there's 2nd late night happy hour (food only). After hitting up a comedy show nearby, the group of us went to hangout at Earls. It's got a huge bar area plenty of seating for a big group. After 9pm, they have food specials which we ordered a couple of pizzas and fries along with getting fun drinks. The pizza was pretty spot on - the kale mushroom with their cream sauce was the group hit. Their version of "Hawaiian Pizza" had thicker pieces of ham/bacon which I quite liked better. The truffle fries were great as well. The service was good and they had no issues for us to split the bill which is, again, perfect for group outings.

Caitlin was an excellent server. The ribs were fantastic. I loved the warm potato salad.

I've been coming here for awhile and have always had a good experience! The food is consistently good and they have a fun variety of stuff on the menu. The ambiance is cute and trendy. They have massive booths and outdoor seating with fire pits. There is a beautiful bar in the middle as well. One thing that is really great about Earl's is their ability to work with allergies and dietary reactions. This is always a safe restaurant to take one of my friends who has severe allergies (nuts, gluten, certain fruits, dairy, and shellfish). The staff is always responsive and make sure that it's safe for her! The restaurant has gotten more and more expensive which is the downside, but it's still not a major deterrent from coming here every once in awhile. This is a nice place to celebrate with friends!

Kitchen is competent but not flawless in its execution (was that celery really attractive enough to be put on a plate? I don't think so). Service is pleasant but not super speedy. Lovely facility and huge bar. Convenient location.

From the reservation to the greeting at the door to the IMPECCABLE treatment of my lovely family during my engagement lunch, I was swept away. I know my fiancé is grateful as well for the lasting positive impact this had on our trip to Chicago. I wish I remembered my servers name but the GM, Emily also reached out with warm words. 10/10

Service was excellent. We ordered street corn salad and shrimp pizza. My brother had crab cakes and shrimp cocktail. Our order was much better than I expected actually. Very tasty and just the right amount of spice. My brother loved his seafood but wasn't a fan of the very vinegary side salad that came with his crab cakes. Here are my complaints. First the online menu was different than the actual one. So I'm guessing it's seasonal and changes often. Prices were very high. Our 1 salad and 1 pizza with water was almost $50.

3.5 - food itself was very good and came pretty fast. Service was decent, but I wished they came to check on us a little more frequently. The atmosphere was very nice and the bathrooms were also bougie. I would come again for their happy hour.

My Fiancé and I stopped into Earls on our trip to Chicago. The resturaunt is absolutely clean and stunning. Our waitress was super sweet and knowledgeable. We ordered the lobster and shrimp Benedict with the pave potatoes, and a burger and fries. The food was 10/10 I have never had my potatoes made that way and I really enjoyed the texture of them. The ambiance was so luxurious I would definitely reccomended this spot for brunch or lunch !

Business lunch was terrific. I had the clam chowder and Cobb salad, both delicious. My guest had a vegetarian pasta dish which she said was great. Service was excellent. Would love to come back for an evening dinner or warm night to hang out on the outdoor patio.

This was our third visit to earls. The space is lovely, servers kind... the overall experience though is disappointing. Every visit feels understaffed, food was fine (burgers). I was most frustrated today with the "kids menu". it is shared verbally by the server... not until the bill did we realize we had a $19 cheese pizza, that was billed as a margarita, it was just a very greasy cheese. I feel we have given three solid attempts- happy hour, lunch, brunch... we don't think there is value in trying again.

Having been to an Earl's in WA, I anticipated a chic interior and fun menu. Our party was quickly greeted and promptly seated. Maybe it's because I came here with more than one guest, but the ambiance felt mediocre; I'd say not a place for family dining. Our waitress was super nice and made accommodations for my toddler niece as we couldn't only feed her fried tofu and rice. I think I'd like to visit again, but only with an adult in tow. Mai Tai: They had an A-board outside their door showcasing their Mai Tai as their monthly special and three of us ordered it. It was well crafted and delicious! Sushi: Meh Crispy Tofu: Generous portion of tofu and rice. The adults all wanted the rice to be more flavorful, but the two-year-old had no qualms and gobbled it all up. Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli: Tasty, lots of shrimp, barely any lobster...

Don't let the name fool you , it's really a nice bright restaurant. My boyfriend and I first time and it didn't disappoint. Lucas was our server although he was alone serving the entire restaurant he still did it with a smile , reason I gave 4 stars it was a small wait . Food was well plated and had great flavor. Portion sizes were definitely slight for the price. Lots of Gen Z and Millenials in the joint. Calling it a "kitchen" is a a stretch , it's a little nicer than the word "kitchen" implies.

I came here for brunch before pandemic and food and service was great. We came in for early brunch today and it was meh. It's probably a fine place if you coming with just adults or want to watch a game at the bar. We came with some friends and brought our 3.5 yr old and 17mo old toddlers. Observations: - not the most kid friendly or toddler friendly place. They have no kid cups or kids paper menu to draw on. Not a big deal but seeing that they have so many families in the area, it would make sense to cater to this demographic. I had to make sure my toddlers were not going to break the drinking glasses. - the high chairs or booster seats they have are those contraptions that attach to the end of a table. it can look a bit insecure that you have toddler or baby hanging of the side of a table. My qualm is that the seats were so deep that it didn't prop the seat higher at the table for little one. The booster seats are bit worn down so the seat wasn't straight. The weight limit is supposedly 50 lbs and toddler is was 18lbs. I tried to prop my 17mo with a stack of menus under her since we were sitting at the booth seats but that did not make a difference. - yes they have diaper changing station in the bathrooms (one positive note) I appreciate that they have a brunch happy hour and the portion was decent but the execution and taste was meh. We ordered: - the brunch burger. - the bun was cold and hard so I didn't eat much of it. The toppings were fine but the burger wasn't hot enough. I asked fries instead of the roast potatoes just so the kids can snack on something since there wasn't much on the menu they would like. - the ham and cheese omelet- was ok dish. Omelet a bit on the dry side. But my 3.5yr old seems to be okay with the bacon. The side salad didn't look fresh and was topped with dry bits of cheese. - the steak and eggs - not much to write about is what hubby told me. - it's fine if they choose to not have a kids menu but we couldn't even order a side of pasta for our toddlers when we couldn't find something they may like on the menu - it's brunch so i expected them to have sausage as a side (not just bacon). I even asked when we ordered ...nope. they don't have sausage either which is something my kids eat and adults too. - they only have almond milk??? Our friend ordered coffee I think and the waitress asked if she was okay with almond milk because that well they had. I'm fine with almond milk personally but just surprised to hear that. Thank goodness I brought whole milk from home for the 17mo - would have hated it if I couldn't even order that. The wait staff was fine. Earls may need refresh their menu and cater to many families that seem to patron there.

More like 3.5 stars. I actually really like this place. I live really close. I like the waitstaff. They pull things together. The food is so so so good. Sometimes enlightening. I really REALLY miss the zen bowl and teriyaki tofu bowl. Why would you remove such delicious things?! Just please please please hire more staff. Tables are dirty around us while sitting at the bar, for very long times whenever we go. Sometimes our entire time. It's not the staff's fault, the few of the do not stop moving. It's just not a good look for an establishment.

Went here for a birthday lunch. I sat outside while waiting for the rest of my party and then we moved inside. The atmosphere in both were nice. Staff is limited and slow just like the reviews say but are friendly. I had the Angry Chicken Lettuce Wraps which despite needing more sauce were pretty good. I also tried the street corn and avocado dip which wasn't all that great. The dip had no seasoning which I think is because the chips had them all. Overall it is a decent place.

[Read this before you decide to eat here.] don't be fooled by the nicely edited cover photo of the margarita.. this place is on its way out. we visited on a Saturday night and only a quarter of the seating was filled. We were going to leave but decided to give it a try. BIG MISS STEAK. You know when you can tell when a place is just about to close within the year? That's what's happening here. It may have had its peak a couple years ago when zagats were a thing but long are the days. Theres no love getting funneled into this place. Don't waste your money here. The service was less than satisfactory, we were not checked up on by any servers and had to wait a number of times to get our drinks refilled. The food is overpriced for the level of quality. We ordered the clam chowder (6.5/10), poke bowl (6.5/10), sirloin steak and spicy tuna roll (6/10) and the caramelized vanilla cheesecake (7/10, would have given it a higher rating but someone sent a burnt one to us first). It was not the worst food but it did not match the trendy, clean design.

Been to the Lincoln Park location a couple times! Enjoyed the diverse menu options, and reasonable prices. Service is great, they seated us even after being late. Starters were chipotle calamari and truffle fries, both very crispy, preferred the chipotle dip more than the aioli. It's a popular restaurant in Canada, our friends from there recommended the Cajun blackened chicken and peppercorn sirloin. Steak was great! Chicken was a little dry!! Overall great ambiance and plating!

Went to earls tonight because I heard they have 1/2 off bottles of wine on Thursdays! I had a great time while I was there. We sat at the bar and Ariel was welcoming and helped us find a bottle of wine that we would love! Definitely have to come back with a few more friends and have a cute dinner!

What's not to love about earls? The food is great. Staff is always friendly. Super clean and modern. I've tried everything and you just can't go wrong here. Fun atmosphere, large outdoor facing area. Great cocktails, decent food. Coconut Matcha Sour - 4.5/5. Balanced. Fruity, smooth. Street Chicken Tacos - 3/5. Some interesting notes but overall a tad boring and spicy. Great fries, fresh and crisp. Avocado Super Benedict - 3.5/5. Nice Sourdough base. Creaminess of the avocado doesn't work so well with the poached egg. Slightly under-seasoned. Good potatoes, crispy.

They are really really short staffed on weekdays. I have gone there a few times with 8-10 people from work for dinner. There are only 3 people to host, serve and bus the entire place. Last week we went with 10 people and had a reservation beforehand and it took them a while to even get our table ready. By the end, we had to walk around to find someone so we could pay and leave. The food was good, wine selection was ample, the staff that were there were friendly- but they simply don't have the bodies to operate

We came here on a night in late summer, so we wanted to sit on the patio. I love that Earl's has so much comfortable outdoor seating. We had a good meal, burger, salad, and fries, and split a bottle of wine. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience here and thought the food was good. I will say the prices are a little high in my opinion, but either way our experience here was good. It would be a great place to sit on the patio for a drink, and I think they have heaters outside in the cooler months

NB: we visited during restaurant week 2024 which can be a notoriously CRAZY time for restaurant staff so... Ambiance--HIGH MARKS! This restaurant is open, airy, providing an elevated visual for a casual experience when you're feeling a lil' fancy-- perfect for a date or brunch with friends. Food-- MID MARKS. Not the worst I've ever had, but not the best either. Everything tasted good but didn't knock my socks off. Again, restaurant week in my mind means batch prepared entrees where it can be hit or miss and hard to time for service considering that batches are rolling as the night goes on. This was neither a hit or a miss insofar as flavors and textures go. It was just OK. VALUE: MID MARKS. I probably could've made it myself at home though. (This is NOT meant as slam towards the kitchen staff-- For context:, I'm not a Michelin star chef by any means but have been told I'm an excellent cook...) Service/Staff- ***HIGHEST OF HIGH MARKS!!***. The host and wait staff were LOVELY. Eventhough the restaurant was a madhouse with reservations and the kitchen being HEINOUSLY backed up, staff were all friendly, accommodating/very mindful of stated food allergies, and apologetic about delays despite it not actually being within in their control. They didn't even seem phased in the slightest by the (in my opinion) VERY inconsiderate couple who had no problem whatsoever with allowing their small child to run wild through the aisles of the dining room as staff tried to quickly maneuver hot plates and cocktails to increasingly grumpy patrons. Pro tip folks:. If you're gonna bring your kids to a restaurant (especially during prime busy times), don't let them behave as if you're in your living room. It's dangerous for your child. It's dangerous for the staff and it is just plain RUDE. Don't be a jerk. ***Climbs down off soap box*** TLDR: When comes to calmness under pressure, THIS is how you do it, folks!! In summation, it wasn't the best experience I've ever had, but I'm taking all the above variables into consideration. I WOULD be willing to try again on a normal night to see if this was a one-off situation.

Expensive!!!! Went for lunch and burger/fries was the only 'affordable' item at $18.99... burger was below average in quality, could've gone to McDonald's for a better burger. We also had a southwest chicken salad for $25... can get this same salad at 99% of restaurants in Chicago for a lower price. On top, service was extremely slow while restaurant was at ~25% capacity.

Had a cheddar bacon burger. I was not happy with the product. I expected much more for a $20 sandwich. The beef patty was thin and overly cooked. I was left with a terrible first impression, even with ordering a rather simple menu item. I don't think I will return to this restaurant.

I came here for a quick solo lunch. I was greeted by the GM, Zack, who was super friendly. I decided to sit at the bar since I was alone. To my delight l, Adrian at the bar greeted me upon sitting down. The atmosphere is modern and fresh. I loved the ambiance and the entire menu looked great. I look forward to trying the crab cake salad next time. Today, I went with the poke bowl. I asked for a side of their ponzu sauce and sriracha for a little extra flavor. (pro tip) Overall service was fabulous and I look forward to eating my way through their menu on future trips!

Earl's is one of my favorite go to spots in the city. Steak and sushi is the move. Always killer service. (S/O Caitlin, she's the bomb) definitely recommend for any occasion!!!

Got the tofu sushi tacos which were sooo good, but not at all a complete meal and very pricy. My partner got the surf and turf and their meal was definitely a better value. It's a nice space too. Would definitely come back to check out their outdoor area.
