Under-the-radar favorite in Orlando’s Westside Asian plazas. Dim sum is ordered from a checklist, then arrives hot alongside comforting clay-pot rice and congee—simple, unfussy, and very local.

We had a great experience at this Chinese restaurant and tried the Dim Sum, which is served all day. The food came out hot and fresh, and everything we ordered tasted amazing. We tried Siu Mai, Pork Ribs w Black Bean Sauce, Steamed Roast Pork Buns, Crispy Shrimp Wonton, Green Onion Pancake, Shrimp Stuffed Eggplant, Singapore Mei Fun, Egg Custards & Jasmine Green Tea. Everything was delicious! The restaurant was clean and cozy, and the prices were fair for the amount of food we got. I’d definitely come back again for a tasty dim sum meal!

My husband and I went there on a whim last night and we will definately be going back. We were on the search for a vegan friendly restaurant and the food was amazing! When we entered, it was gorgeous inside, very chic! There is a huge vegetable menu and the staff was very knowledgeable about the ingredients so we knew was to order. We got the hot and spicy shredded potatoes and it was insanely delicious and the portion size was HUGE! My husband ordered the Stir-fried with Fresh Chinese Yam and Fungus with Snow Peas and while it was somewhat expensive, we are foodies and the mushrooms they used were so fresh and exotic as well as the Chinese yam! The portion was gigantic and I attribute it to most people don't order much vegetable dishes (good...more for us and our vegan friends :) ). They had a homemade spicy chili sauce that was also amazing too. I can't wait to go back! I took a bunch of to-go menus to hand out :)

A very good restaurant in the Orlando Chinatown area. Offering dim sum and authentic Chinese dishes. My family likes to come here and the service is always top notch. Be sure to check East Garden out!!

Google
Clean, comfortable seating, and attentive friendly staffs with reasonable price. Freshly hot steamed shrimp dumplings and pork dumplings, and steamed beef tripes were on point. Flaky mild sweetness bbq pork turnover and egg custard are worth to try. Bbq pork filling with chewy noodles, chive dumplings, steamed bean curd rolls, turnip cakes were mild and delicious. Eggplants stuffed with shrimp was flavorful. However, the crispy egg noodles with pork was a little bland to the taste. Will return to try other items on their menu.

Google
The Dimsum was pretty good but food from the kitchen was OK. We had Beef PanFried Noodles it was very bland and mushy. The fried rice was kinda too greasy for my liking. Over all it's a decent spot for a quick bite.

Google
Beautiful interior, decent food, recommend shirmp roll. My mom likes the beef balls. The beef tripe was too tough to chew. The veggie was decent.

We had a wonderful experience at East Garden while celebrating a family birthday. The food was exceptional—flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We especially enjoyed the generous portions and the variety of dishes, from savory stir-fries to tender dim sum. The staff was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our celebration.

Google
Best Chinese food in Orlando. Dim sum and every deliciousness you can think of. Everyone is always so friendly. Get the congee and don’t skimp on the white pepper, yeah buddy.

Yelp
Love East Garden--it's a must-stop every time I'm visiting a theme park nearby! The service is always fantastic, and the ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a classic Chinese restaurant. I always order the fried pig intestines--they hit every single time! (Portions were a bit smaller than usual this time, but still tasty.) We also got the tripe again, and it was perfect as always. This time, we tried the lobster deal in the fried garlic style--absolutely delicious! Can't wait to come back again in a few years LOL

Yelp
This was my favorite item on the dim sum menu. Big pieces of eggplant surrounding lightly battered shrimp. The rest of the dim sum ordered was okay. Nothing spectacular. Our dinner entree was okay too. Not much flavor. I would like to go back and try other dishes but the restaurant is a distance from where I live. I thought the prices were fair and the service was excellent b

Yelp
DIMSUM REVIEW ONLY I was craving dim sum and ordered takeout. Ordered 4 orders of Siu Mai and 3 orders Eggplant stuffed shrimp paste. 4 pcs of Siu Mai is $6.95 each and 3 pcs Eggplant stuffed shrimp paste is $7.95. The Siu Mai is not as big as Ming Bistro size but it was tasty no pork smell and had some shrimp and little mushrooms. It was not greasy or salty . I would order these again based on price point and taste was not bad. The Eggplant Stuffed Shrimp Paste was ok. The shrimp paste was fried but the size of the eggplant was bigger than I expected. The sauce was the downhill. It was watered down and had no umami flavor or taste. It was bland for me. The shrimp paste was not as tender as I expected it and to me the frying part of it just was not for me. I will not order these again. Ming Bistro version is better especially the thicker sauce. This place was busy this day and lots of asian clientele.

Yelp
This is a popular place for families and locals looking for good family-style dining or dim sum. I think the food here is very tasty and heartwarming. Everything is freshly prepared and served quickly. I think I prefer their large family style dishes over their dim sum and would recommend the Beef Chow Fun, Salt and Pepper Squid, Walnut Shrimp, and Water Spinach. I love how bright and clean the space is. Service is quick and the servers have always been great with us.
google avatar

Yelp
I like the food there. Compare to the quantity and size of the food, I think their price is fair among the restaurants. Definitely a restaurant to revisit. We got three dim sum item to start. We have the turnip pudding. The edge was will pan fried to crispy. We also got stuff eggplant. I like the size and the soften skins of eggplant. The last dim sum items is the crispy taro dumplings. I am ok on that item. My wife likes it. The two main dish we have is the beef ho fun and the pork belly with preserved vegetables. The ho fun was cook well with stir fry. I like the braise sauce of the pork belly. Go well with rice. Next time I am there, I probably get the Hong Kong style two lobster. Service is good.

Yelp
Everytime we come here, it's always such a warm welcome and they get us seated fast. Anytime someone asks for authentic Asian/Chinese food, I will ALWAYS recommend East Garden. The waitress that is always there when we are there and she is simply the NICEST and recognizes my family immediately. She is the sweetest most kindest soul. If you're looking for great dim sum and amazing Chinese food, this is the place to go. You won't regret it!!! My kids love the dum dum pops they get when they leave.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here last weekend with my parents, and we're already planning our next visit! I grew up eating Cantonese food, my parents and grandparents even owned restaurants specializing in it, so I would say we have pretty high standards. This place completely blew me away. I had no idea we had such an incredible spot for authentic Cantonese dishes nearby. The service was great and the inside was very nice and clean! We came for dim sum this time and also tried the beef chow fun and salt and pepper squid. The chow fun had great wok hei and came in a generous portion--super satisfying. Salt and pepper squid is my favorite dish to eat and they did an amazing job. Every dish was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu!

Yelp
Amazing!!! Visiting Orlando, but I had to find a Dim Sum place. Let me tell you how they did not disappoint! I don't know which was better; the service or the food! Everything was fast, fresh, authentic, and flavorful!

Yelp
The portion for entrees are huge!!! Cantonese style seafood pan fried noodles and beef chow fun are delicious! If theres only two people just know youll be packing food to go home. The dim sum comes out fresh and most of the rice rolls and shrimp balls are not too doughy. It is the right consistency. The size of the shrimp is also pretty decent for the price. There are many other places that have very tiny shrimps. The service is great! They are quick and attentive. It can get pretty busy on sunday so if you want to beat the crowd go a little earlier.
google avatar

Jin J.

Yelp
Service: very bubbly and welcoming waitresses who were quick to ask if you had any questions. Food: Overall a solid Chinese experience. The shrimp that came with the coconut shrimp were delicious and huge! The sauce was overwhelming though and they could have used a lot less of it. The Peking Duck was a tad bit overlooked but the skin was perfectly crunchy and well seasoned. I wish they had the thin rice papers instead of the bread-like bao buns. I chose not to use the buns and still enjoyed the Duck-onion-sauce combo. The hot and sour soup was HUGE. I forgot to look at the menu to see if we got a special serving but im glad we had a lot. It was tasty.

Yelp
Our go to place whenever we are in Orlando. Food is always good. Not too salty and traditional. Service is always good. Much better than typical Chinese restaurants. Music is a bit loud and unusual selection. Only thing to be aware is the tea, where it is charge per person and kind of pricey for a pot of tea.

Yelp
4.2 Dim sum is good the only thing I don't prefer is the chicken feet. The Singapore mei fun here is a staple for me. Food comes in generous portions perfect for sharing with family and even having leftovers. Always coming back here for more!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Chinatown. I have tried many dim sum places in Orlando, but so far, this one has to be my favorite. Our waitress was very attentive and super friendly. The menu was in Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. There was a variety of items on the menu. We mainly ordered dim sum. The menu was decently sized. Our orders came out promptly. Though only one item was forgotten, as soon as we asked, they made it fresh to order, and it was served on our table in less than 10 minutes. (shrimp paste rice paper). We went with stuffed eggplant with shrimp paste and scallion pancakes for appetizers. The scallion pancakes were delicious. They came our crispy and hot. The stuffed eggplant was unique. The rest of our dumplings and dim sum items came out fresh. They were stuffed to the brim and the filling was seasoned well. With a great experience, this is definitely my new go to spot for dumplings.

Yelp
Best dim sum and Cantonese-style Chinese restaurant in Orlando! The service is excellent. There are also tables for larger groups (6+) Amazing food and consistent every time!

Yelp
Love this place a lot. I am a huge fan of Cantonese cuisine and this place has it. Staff are friendly and the seating is plenty. I came for lunch and left so full. I love the shrimp dumpling, shrimp paste(rice roll), and the green onion pancake. All can be found in the dim sum section. I've had before the Singapore mei fun and my husbands loves their beef how fun. You must try this place out when you are near Kirkman and West colonial.

Yelp
I have always wanted to try this place as so many people told me that this is their favorite place to get dim sum in Orlando. I got so many things. - Fried Shrimp Balls: Good, crispy, the dipping sauce is amazing - Shrimp Rice Paste:The noodles are way too thick and the sauce is not it - Siu Mai: It's okay but the mushroom ratio is way more than my liking - Ribs: It's tender but different. - Shrimp Dumpling: This is good - Chicken Feet: Average After all, I'm glad I went and tried it but I'm still on a hunt for the best dim sum place here. The service is very nice though. They're very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is great. I think it's best to come with family and friends so you can try many things.
google avatar

Yelp
We came here because of the yelp reviews and I'm so glad we did. The portions were huge and it was perfect for the 10 of us. We ordered green beans, beef chow fun, special order hong Kong style crispy noodles and couple of their dimsum dishes. The food was good, and I'd definitely come back for it. The hostess and owner were nice and accommodated our needs. Everyone was friendly and the food came out in a timely matter.

Yelp
Food is good. We like to eat early and also to beat the crowd. Service is good. It is convenient since there is an Asian market next door.

Yelp
Went with my girlfriend for lunch last Sunday after playing badminton. It was busy around noon but we got a table about 15 minute wait! The server and greeter are both very friendly and attentive even though they are very busy! We got tea and ordered thru the menu with the dim sum we wanted and then also got a beef ho fan. All the food came out fairly quickly in a roll so we were able to eat some while the others are on their way! The decorations are older style but the food is yummy and service is great! Definitely will come again
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Came here for dinner, and there was no wait. The menu had a great variety of authentic Chinese dishes. We got the crispy fried squid (from the dim sum menu), clams with black bean sauce, beef ribs with black pepper sauce, braised fish with tofu, snow pea tips, and twin lobster with ginger and scallion. My favorite was the lobster! The deal of 2 lobsters for $35 was amazing! The lobster was tender and tasty, and had some good, large pieces. The clams in black bean sauce was pretty good. They were tender, but a little sandy/salty. The braised fish with tofu had a great flavor, but the fish had a little too much breading. The beef ribs also had a good flavor, but was a little too chewy. The fried squid had good pieces of squid, but maybe could have been crispier/hotter. The snow pea tips were solid. Overall, we enjoyed the meal here! The inside of the restaurant looked clean and nice. The service was exceptional. The staff was kind and attentive.

Yelp
I'd read good reviews of this place, so I was looking forward to it and went with a friend on a Sunday evening. It was busy but with a few tables available, so we were seated immediately. We had 2 servers throughout the visit who were both friendly and knew what was in each dish such as the kind of meat. Unfortunately many of their dim sum dishes, although they sound like they could be vegetarian (ex. Chive dumplings, taro dumplings), have meat in them. I ended up getting the green onion pancake ($6) and Chinese yam dish ($29). Both were flavorful, and the pancakes were nice and crispy. Portion sizes were generous. However, the yam was not cooked consistently and some pieces were still raw and tough to chew--overall not worth the price. My friend got the beef and glass noodles pot which she liked the flavors but noted a grittiness in the food. Overall sadly not the experience we were hoping for.

Yelp
For Orlando about the best dim sum you can get. Not as delicate as LA or NYC, but totally okay. Not cheap , expect $80-90 for three for dim sum. Excellent service! Nice environment. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Orlando's Chinatown - did you even know Orlando had a Chinatown!?!? We came here for a family-style dinner and it was quite good! We called ahead and they were able to accommodate a large party last minute. We didn't order any dim sum but stuck with the entrees - walnut shrimp, seafood pan-fried noodle, Singapore noodles, salt and pepper squid, Peking style pork chop, bok choy, fried tofu, and a sweet and sour fried fish dish. All were delicious and we had ourselves a mini banquet! The Peking style pork chop (loved the flavor) and salt and pepper squid (so tender) were exceptional. Don't sleep on this place.

Yelp
I've been to this establishment twice and they don't disappoint! Super friendly staff and the food is great. I didn't take enough pictures but I ordered their lobster special which runs 2 for $35 and a few dim sum dishes. Their shumai is Packed with a hefty amount of meat and it's so flavorful. The inside looks nice and modern and very spacious. Prices are moderate/average. I would def. Recommend checking this place out if you want to try authentic Asian cuisine. Tip: Free parking in the parking lot
google avatar

Steven N.

Yelp
Service was so bad today. I love coming here but lately the food and service has been getting worst. New workers rather stand and talk. The shrimp dumplings and shu mai today were bland and rubbery. Owner didn't really care when I told him.. unfortunate. Maybe it's time to find a new dim sum place?
google avatar

Sharon M.

Yelp
Came in for a post-Thanksgiving dim sum fix. Arrived around 1pm for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon and luckily experienced no wait! I was craving shrimp rice noodle rolls from the dim sum menu but those weren't on the menu so I settled for other shrimp options: shrimp stuffed eggplant and shrimp wontons. The dimsum was good but I noticed there weren't many vegetable options unless you ordered from the regular menu. Dim sum plates range in size from M to XL and plates are priced between $5.95 (m) to $14.95 (xl). Dim sum can add up quickly if your eyes are as hungry as mine. The Beef Ho Fun was probably the fav of the table. The noodles and fried rice were generously sized to share as was the seafood congeee which was comfort food in a bowl. East Garden is located in Chinatown next door to Edson market which makes it the perfect spot to stop for a quick meal before shopping at Edson so you're not shopping & filling your cart on an empty stomach! Service was good - all tables, including ours, seemed to be getting all their food quickly. The bathrooms are single stall so there always seemed to be a line at the women's restroom.
google avatar

Yelp
Horrible! They don't know what they are doing. Owner manager and all servers are confused and customers are hungry. Total disaster! We are sitting here waiting for our food. They have no ideas what they are doing here. Some tables get their food constantly and some tables including ours do not have any food coming. We are here for dim sum. Don't understand how some tables get their dim sum in the mean time I don't get mine even though it's same kind. Wrong order comes out and they lost the order. Some have to order again because the servers don't know. Everything went wrong. Horrible horrible. Never seen anything worse than this before at the restaurant. Waiting for more than 30 minutes. They come back to ask what we ordered 4 times. Owner came and asked again. Total disaster. They definitely should not be running a restaurant. We are so hungry and it's too late to go anywhere. They keep coming back to check if we had our food yet. Funny no food comes out but servers constantly check on us. We are not the only one without food. Don't come here unless you have all the time to wait for food..... Cannot be worse
google avatar

Cindi W.

Yelp
Went here because of the rating. Can't say it earned the almost five stars it shows? We ordered several different dim sum. Pretty much the same stuff and flavors that you have anywhere else. The lotus leaves seemed a little on the smaller side. They told us there was shrimp in them but we couldn't find it. Nothing really to write home about. Also - claims to have beer and wine. They definitely have beer but they only have red wine, and you have to buy a whole bottle? The sake selection is only fruit flavored or warm sake. And no club soda or sparkling water. For someone who doesn't do sweet type or caffeine drinks it's a bit limiting. We also tried the salt and pepper calamari, and it wasn't fishy, but both the batter and the calamari were a bit tough. Flavor was ok though. Ambiance is nice enough and the place feels fairly clean. They did seem a bit short handed though. And if you sit on the bench seat be forewarned, if the person on the bench at the table next to you gets up and down a lot it's going to be a bumpy dinner....

Kinhung T.

Yelp
Food is good, service is good. Dim sum is excellent. Steamed fish is great. Peking duck is ok. Overall food is great.
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
We went during dim sum hours and the service was okay. We were a little confuse cause we had to wait a bit before someone approached us. They was also no sign saying we could sit anywhere either. When we did sit down, it also took a little bit before someone came and ask for our drink order. I had to get the menu from the front myself. Overall, not very pleased with the service. The dim sum was okay, nothing spectacular. The only thing I really enjoyed was their hot and sour soup. It's spicy with a bunch of seafood. The portion are also generous. I would definitely go back and do to-go just for the soup. Possibly next time, I would go for their dinner menu. It seems authentic, things my family would order, and people seem like they had a more positive experience.
google avatar

Willow M.

Yelp
Service: 5/5. Our server was friendly, attentive and was knowledgeable of the menu. She was helpful in helping me select some seafood free dishes. Ambiance: The owner was dining with friends at a nearby table and after his 4 bottles of wine, they were SO loud. It was horrible. The yellow decor was nice and inviting. It must have been a slow night, as there was only 2 other parties dining. Food: 3/5 We chose to have dim sum. Being from the San Francisco Bay area with various exceptional dim sum dining options, this dim sum was very average. Though the shumai and sesame balls were excellent, the pork pot stickers, bbq pork buns and eggrolls were ok, nothing spectacular by any means. I would go as far to say I would guess the eggrolls and pork buns may be the frozen variety from Sam's Club. Neverless, we were hungry and ate most of everything. I would say the sweet n sour sauce was some of the best I've had.
google avatar

Joseph S.

Yelp
East Garden is my new favorite dim sum place in Orlando! The portions for the price are better than dim sum king in Millenia. They also have amazing Cantonese dishes if you decide to order something off the dim sum menu. Our favorites to order are the ha cao, shrimp paste, fried shrimp balls, and xo pan fried turnip cakes (so good here!). Their Chinese broccoli (gai lan) is also phenomenally cooked (wok hei taste) and surprised us with a nice white garlic sauce vs the traditional oyster sauce. Their beef with eggplant is also really outstanding.

Lovetoeat T.

Yelp
A wonderful hostess/waitress. Very friendly staff. The prices were so high but justifiably so with the huge portions served. The dim sums prepared as ordered. Steamy hot and very tasty. Special pan fried noodles and beef chow fun were delicious The problem was too much MSG. My mouth was so dried and I was so thirsty for over 6 hours after eating these delicious foods. Needs to back off on the MSG. Not good for the kidneys. I would come back for the taste but NOT too often due to to the msg content
google avatar

Yelp
BEST hongkong styled food you'll ever have, I personally love the pepper steak and any of the rice, the indoors looks so pretty and aesthetic. the workers are super nice, its take a bit of time for your stuff to arrive but when it does its GOODDD portions are big when it says L it means LARGEEE
google avatar

Samuel W.

Yelp
Add me to the crowd! If you're interested in excellent traditional Hong Kong style at very reasonable prices price with great service- this is it . Dim sum was great .... Even the turnip which is a maligned and forgotten one but with super flavor. We also had garlic and ginger beef . Huge serving and perfect seasoning.

Yelp
A beautiful cantonese restaurant with incredible service from open to close! Every single dish we ordered was incredible! The staff here are very attentive and very kind, more than willing to help those who aren't familiar with cantonese cuisine. A must-visit!

Yelp
Pretty good Chinese place for takeout not the best I've ever had but it certainly good food service is fast, but not too friendly minimalist interior.

Yelp
We have been hunting for some great Chinese food in Orlando for the longest and we have finally found the spot. Delicious food and great service!

Yelp
Awesome food! We were looking for dim sum and found this place - flavors were authentic, service was good. Definitely not five star ambience, but comfortable family setting. Planning on returning soon!

Yelp
Wow, get some lobster and the dimsum! I came here for Sunday lunch. My bf noticed on the wall that their lobster was two tails for $35, so we had to get it! They were cooked with ginger sauce. It was delicious! They took care to cut into the hard shell so it made it easy for us to eat. Other than the lobster, we got shrimp cheung fun, shumai, and pork spare ribs. The portion size was good. We got jasmine tea to enjoy with the food. It was a nice time!
google avatar

Wendy D.

Yelp
We came here to check out the Chinatown plaza. And of course to look for some good Chinese restaurant. This place gets my thumbs up I was greeted first in English, then in Mandarin and then in Cantonese. The guy was just trying to cover all the languages and would hit one solid! I ordered some Dim Sum to go. It was a tad expensive for a few items, but it's so good I can hardly complain. If you are ever in Orlando, this is a great place to visit.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
The best dim sum and Chinese food we've tried so far!! Service was good also. We will definitely come back again.
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
Another place on my list checked off. I stopped in for dinner with a friend. We wanted to get some dim sum and try a few things. We started with the beef ho fun. For our dim sum we got fried shrimp balls, shrimp rice paste, beef tripe with ginger sauce, and the crispy taro dumplings. Everything was delicious but a little pricey for dim sum. It was my first time trying the crispy taro dumpling. It was savory. I heard it is usually sweet. I really enjoyed it though. Maybe had some pork and mushroom filling inside. The service was actually not bad. Our server checked in on us often. Good service rarely happens in asian restaurants.
google avatar

Helen C.

Yelp
My new favorite dim sum place for sure! Came here on the lunar new year and it was extremely busy, so the wait was long, but you could tell that the wait staff was doing the very best they could and the service was still overall good. The food was excellent and one of the best dim sum places in the Orlando area. The place has nice decor. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Ray M.

Yelp
The food here is amazing and the staff is super great! This is a place that must be visited. Two thumbs up and five stars for this restaurant and their staff. We will be back!

Yelp
How have I lived in Orlando for as long as I have and not known about this place? For all of Orlando's ethnic foodie goodness, I've always struggled to find a good Chinese restaurant. I guess I hadn't gone far enough west! This gem is an authentic Chinese restaurant, with great food and great service. From the delicious green tea to the two entrees we ordered, everything was spot on. When I asked for some chilies to add some heat to my dish, I was brought a small bowl chili oil. That put a smile on my face because I realized that it had been so long since I'd been to a good, sit down Chinese restaurant that I'd forgotten what to ask for!! The eggplant and beef were both cooked perfectly. Service was excellent and we never felt rushed. I can't wait to eat there again!

Marcos H.

Yelp
Porciones abundante sabor increíble servicio excellent..El menu amplio como parte negative los domingos es muy busy..pero del resto la mejor comida china de florida
google avatar

Darapuneni M.

Yelp
Update to my previous review. My first time was awesome. Came back to try it again but were disappointed. We order our favorite chicken corn soup which hit the spot. Went in for the regular fried rice and general tso. Chicken in the general tso was very chewy which implied it was fried again and not fresh. Also the fried rice was ok. I hope they serve better food like before.
google avatar

Khanh M.

Yelp
We started with some dimsum, pretty good job! Then we ordered some pecking duck, rice pot with pork ribs & salty egg twin lobsters. Pecking duck was completely wrong, the worst i ever had; skin was mushy, a lots of oil. Rice pot just didn't taste like anything, waste! Lobsters just tasted like sea salt, no salty egg flavor & super dry. Service was very nice, but can't save the food experience. Therefore, I only recommend to get dimsum in here.
