The 10 Best Breweries In Nashville 2024

"East Nashville Beer Works is the most family-friendly brewery in town. Their backyard is one large patio complete with a fenced-in playground, and they frequently host kid-friendly events like petting zoos and back-to-school celebrations. For the grown-ups, their flagship pours aren’t half-bad either—the East Bank citra IPA, Miro Miel honey blonde ale, and Tennessee Sipper golden light ale are all great options. This is where you come to meet your parent friends for dinner, order some solid pepperoni pizza and cheesy bread, then hang out while your kiddos play and sip on a juice box." - adam sloan

The Best Breweries and Taprooms in Nashville | Eater Nashville

"East Nashville Beer Works is a neighborhood gem; it boasts a spacious beer garden where it can host pop-up yoga classes or classic movie screenings. This impressively sized patio is dog- and kid-friendly, too — so much so, in fact, that its jungle gym rivals most local parks (and is probably sanitized more consistently). Inside, the taproom hosts live music night and you can find a variety of great beers including seasonal flavors, creative IPAs, and stouts. If you get hungry, it has pizza, appetizers, and salads on its menu." - Kellie Walton

Google
What a gem! This place has it all, food, outdoor patio, separate play area for the kiddos, and best of all a solid beer line up! Finding truly great beer in Nashville can be a challenge unless you know the spots, this is one of those spots. Super friendly staff and plenty of space for the whole family, a date, or rolling solo. The Lagers are next level and the Hazy IPAs fantastic!

Google
Great experience tonight at ENBW. My husband really enjoyed his beer flight and Italian Pizza and my Perfect Pig pizza was delicious. Oh and the beer cheese and chips were also yummy! If we didn't live in Ohio, we'd be back.

Google
First off, it’s a brewery and I will get there in a min, I’m mostly in awe of how good the pizza was. For 10 bucks their individual size pie was ridiculous good, we got the basic just to give em a try as we didn’t intend on eating. As ex-NY’rs I feel a bit entitled to judge pizza and this was on point. Now on to the beer and rest, all on par with what any good local brewery should be, but pizza game takes them to the next level.

Google
A lot of families with young children, which is great for families with small children! We visited on a busy Friday night with some friends, and we stayed one the outside balcony. I’m gluten free and ordered a cheese GF pizza, it’s about as small as a corn tortilla. My husband ordered a regular margarita pizza and it came out completely cold. We also ordered a cider and a beer which were fine. We didn’t not eat our cold pizzas, asked for them to get taken off the bill and left for another local pizza place. We loved the building layout and atmosphere but the staff, control of its patrons and food left a lot to be desired.

Google
If I have to describe it in two words, I’d say Relaxed and Delicious. Everything we ordered turned out to be supremely delicious, both food and beer. We got toasted cheesy bread, which was about the same size as the personal pizzas they serve and comes with marinara dipping sauce. I tried honey blonde ale and it was tasty AF. It’s dogs 🐶 and family 👧 friendly so I saw a tons of families with dogs on the trivia night we went on the weekend (Schitt’s Creek trivia night if you must know my taste in movies & TV) Staff was friendly. You do have to stand in line and order your food/drinks, so that’s a downside but it makes the flow faster and you don’t end up waiting to order or check out. It was hard to find a spot in their outdoor area as everything was full and we ended up sharing a table with another couple. Parking was full too and we ended up parking in the lot next to them. The only reason I didn’t go with 5/5 for them is because of the pricing. I do think they’re slightly more pricy than what I’d expect for a place of this kind to charge.

Google
Good times were had here last night. This place is literally great. The vibes are good, and if you’re a parent with kiddos 🙌🏾 come here. Not only is the food good and they have really cool beer flights (and I don’t even like beer 😂), ENBW has a playground enclosed in the backyard. It’s totally fun vibes but you don’t get overrun by kiddos because they are tucked away. Also did I mention fire pits? Yes, there are fire pits in the back as well. Just really good times, and again the pizza and salad are good and a decent price 🙏🏾✨

Google
What better way to end a day than a salad and sangria. The salad was top notch, and I have high salad standards. I wanted something light and refreshing to drink and the sangria didn't disappoint. The splash of brandy in it was genius.

Google
This restaurant is super fun and the staff is really nice! They have a playset in a fenced area so that families can easily enjoy a picnic style dinner. The menu has unique items and the food is delicious.

Yelp
This place is only about a 15 minute drive from the city, and it is definitely a place to consider checking out. The outdoor patio is gorgeous, very spacious and has a fun vibe to it! The menu isn't big, but they do have some delicious pizza! They have plenty of beer to choose from as well as an open bar as well! I was there for a trivia night and had a wonderful time!

Yelp
While in town we stopped in to try some beer and pizza. The bar was nice with a lot of seating. I started off with a Sour Szn, which is a strawberry lime sour. It was delicious. For our entrees, I split two pizzas with my boyfriend, the perfect pig and the Italian. Both were delicious and I definitely recommend both! The crust was a great consistency with some crunch but not too thin. They both were full of flavor. I think this is a great spot to grab a beer and some yummy pizza.
google avatar

Brooklynn K.

Yelp
We came on a relatively rainy, gloomy night, so only a few dogs () and no kids (). Ordered 2 flights, I got 3 sours and the lime sipper. Overall, the sours weren't very sour, if that's a thing to say. Good but never that little bite you expect when sipping. I liked Grandpa Colin's best. We ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza and it was tasty! I would've added hot honey if it was an option to put it more kick but overall a yummy dinner. Easy to work with! Ambiance was a little off on a Wednesday night. I'll give it the 5 stars because I see it's potential, but walking in, there were basically crickets and some cleaning supplies / inventory around the bathroom and entrance that weren't very pleasing. Overall, I'll be back, hopefully on a nice day to sit outside and enjoy some puppers & a pint.

George K.

Yelp
Went here with some friends to hang out, grab some brews and pizza. The beer was excellent. For those who like sours, I definitely recommend the Sour SZN. There was lots of room inside and out, with games, tvs, tables galore to socialize. We all tried the pizza. My friends thought it was delicious and continue to rave about it, particularly the crust. I'm a bit picky on crust and found it okay. It wouldn't stop me from going back. It just wasn't my thing. That said, everything was brought out piping hot and fairly quickly. Overall a great hangout spot and I'd be back if in the area.

Yelp
First visit last night. When you walk in, there is a beautiful smell of baking pizza. This is FREE. GET. A. PIZZA. You will not be disappointed in the Pizza or the beer. There is plenty of seating inside and out. They were also open later than other breweries. So glad we visited. Looking forward to the next time.

Haley E.

Yelp
Terrible first impression upon 10 seconds of walking through the door - this brewery advertises dog friendly. There were 0 signs indicating dogs weren't allowed inside, we took our poodle in with us to get water as it was 95+ degrees outside. We were met by an incredibly rude bartender indicating we needed to bring our dog back outside, which we were happy to do as soon as we poured waters. We acknowledged her and said ok but 2 seconds within the first "warning" she persisted in saying we needed to get outside "now" we were so taken aback.. I have never been spoken to like that at anywhere - let alone within the first minute of walking through the door. We needed a place to go while waiting for our airbnb to be ready, next time we'll happily find someplace else.

Yelp
Some unique beer offerings with good pizza and a heated patio. Perfect for a slow, Sunday night! I'm sure this place is popping in the summer!

Yelp
I love East Nashville Beerworks. As a parent, it's the absolute best, when I'm not parenting, it's also the best! To start, I love the variety of drinks. I'm not so much a beer drinker anymore but they have you covered with wine, mead, pop tails, soda, Maypop, hard kombucha, not hard kombucha, etc. Their food menu is also on point. They have snacks, pizzas, and a large vegan pizza menu. They have something for everyone! Even kids, they have stuff for kids. Speaking of kids, they have a giant industrial playground. It's in the back corner, with easy access to the inside, but far enough away for the non-kid crowd to enjoy their time there. It's so great if you want to meet with friends and actually talk. The kids enjoy the playground, you can have a conversation, it's a win-win. I would also like to note the parents are vigilant with their kids. The kids are having fun, supervised. I went this morning for the soccer match. Bummer USA, but not a bummer on the setup. This is the best place to watch sports, movies, see live music, etc. The setup is spacious and pleasant! And speaking of pleasant, there are so many nooks and crannies to post up in. Overall, ENBW is a no-brainer!

Yelp
Located on Trinity Lane in East Nashville, East Nashville Beer Works is spacious with a nice sized private parking lot. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. Service was fast on the night we were there. They offer a variety of seating options indoors, covered patio with heat lamps, and outdoor picnic tables or Adirondack chairs spaced around the stage and playground. It's a great place for families and groups to spread out on nice evenings. Pizzas are wood fired and they have vegan and gluten free options. Salads are fresh and portions are good. IPA and hard kombucha were crowd pleasers. They have a good variety of beer selection. I highly recommend this place on an evening you can be outside. Laid back and super chill vibes here!
google avatar

Alexandra M.

Yelp
Tried 2 of their sour offerings and enjoyed them both. Slight lip pucker is what I'm hoping for with a sour and it was accomplished here (adding this because everyone has different expectations). We had pizza as well and it was good. Appreciate the vegan options.

Yelp
This is a brewery for everyone! It's a huge location with a bunch of parking. They have numerous beer options, and a decent amount of food for a brewery. The pizzas are very delicious! We tried the pepperoni, buffalo chicken, and veggie. It has the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. It was garlicky too! Beer and pizza is always a perfect combo. There are tvs everywhere, and the outside set up is great! There's an ample amount of seating, and they even have a dog entrance! There's a playground for kiddos too. We played darts when we were there, my only request would be to get new darts. There was only one set, and they were not good. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Product was fine. Bar person was less than friendly. Felt guilty buying a beer. Went to yazoo brewery later and had a much happier experience. Too many breweries in this town. Don't need to support an establishment that makes ya feel unwelcome.

Yelp
I'm a home brewery for 30 years so when I'm out of town I check out breweries. The staff were very friendly. They had pizza. We got the pulled pork it was awesome. The beers were fantastic. I love the layout inside was spacious the outside was. Large. Although we didn't bring Simcoe this time (yes my dogs name is a hop). Any way they welcome dog which is a huge plug. Next time I'm in Nashville I will come here.

Yelp
Not psyched on it. Service wasn't very friendly and beer wasn't very good. Inside isn't air condtioned.
google avatar

Brenda C.

Yelp
The atmosphere, food and beer were great! I would be rating this business 5 stars but customer service was terrible. You have to show ID every time you order a beer on an open tab.

Yelp
This was one of two breweries we checked out in East Nashville on our weekend road trip to Ohio. Before we arrived we even invited our E Nashville musical hobo Todd Snider to join us, but that was a long shot at best. The beer was ok. We chose E. Bank IPA - a Citra hopped beer at 7%ABV and which was not a Hazy. It was a west coast style IPA. Not what I had in mind, but ok. We added two pizzas: a pepperoni and sriracha (however when the pie came out it was cheese). We didn't complain. It's still pizza after all. No harm done. No hazy IPAs on tap during our visit, however, there is one promised for the near future. We loved the outdoor seating, which had a smoking section, a kids play ground (perfect), and out door bar as well so you didn't have to go inside for your orders. We noticed this place is popular and parking can be an issue if you don't beat the rush.

Yelp
We hosted our engagement party at ENBW last night on the heated patio and it was so so so perfect. We ordered almost 20 pizzas and several appetizers to share with our party and everyone raved about the food (gluten free pizza included)! Nate was so easy to communicate with while coordinating the party and we were so thankful to have found the perfect spot for our engagement party!
google avatar

Jessica F.

Yelp
Pizzas here are so good! We got the white pizza with burrata cheese (pro tip: get red sauce on the side for dipping your crust). Patio seating is plentiful. Pet and kid friendly. Beers were good, we got an Italian Pilsner and IPA.
google avatar

Cristy D.

Yelp
Celebrated Cinco de Mayo here while on vacation with a taco pizza! My favorite part beyond the flavor was the homemade crust. Fast and friendly service, a cool vibe atmosphere, and a no nonsense experience all made for a great evening out.

Yelp
The staff is rude. Beer is ok. Pizza is underwhelming. I have been once before and thought this, but figured I would give it another chance. They have a playground for kids and my sister in law was in town with our nephew. Since it was near by we gave it a shot. When we got to the counter, the bartender was aggressive, demeaning, and just annoyed that someone was trying to order. i was greeted smugly and loudly, "what do you want". I said I would like the Oktoberfest Pizza. To which she aggressively demanded my ID. As I was kind of shocked at how she was acting, I fumbled for my wallet and tried to confirm my order. "Okay, but I have only ordered a pizza" then she again yells "ID!" I hand it over and say again, look, I just want this pizza. "Sir, it's the law for me to check your id." To which I replied, "for a pizza? I want this pizza" and I pointed to the menu. She rolls her eyes and says "we'll, what do you want to drink!?, are you going to get a drink?" I said, "I don't know maybe" to which she scoffs and says "Well look! We got that out of the way, didn't we?" She was yelling and aggressive the whole convo, I bit my tongue for as long as I could. Then she yelled at my wife and her sister. "Umm excuse me! What do you want to drink!!!" Then it just came out, "you are being super ****ing rude" to which she did not take very well. Then, I repeated why are all of the people who work here always rude? I was told I didn't have to eat there, to which I said you are right and left. Worst service I have ever had. If you read reviews, please go somewhere else. There is better pizza AND beer in the area and most importantly, staff that is friendly.

Yelp
We are so happy we stumbled across this dog friendly brewery with pizza and solid beer! There is ample parking and TONS of outdoor seating. We sat on the semi-enclosed deck with our two pups and were kept a quite warm by the fire table and gas heaters. This beer is very solid and I would say ranks in the upper 25% of Nashville beers. Their pizza is solid as well with single 12" Za ranging from $9-$14 per pie. They also have a solid selection (6 or so) gluten free/vegan options! We got the perfect pig and while the pie could have used some more meat we still thought it hit the spot and paired perfect with their beer. If you have a dog, put this on your list and show some love to an East Nash favorite!
google avatar

Dayana V.

Yelp
Loved it here. Was here last night for some drinks before dinner. While the inside is closed during quarantine times, the outside is just great. Dog friendly outdoor patio and cute seating. Fans in the summer and table firepits for cooler months. Looks like there was a screening area for movies, which is neat. I like the walk up window for beer. I tried two different beers. I started with the Cumberland punch and it was delicious. Light and refreshing. I moved to the erdbeere- berliner weisse. I was really looking forward to it, but it wasn't my favorite. Too tart for my taste, but finished it non the less. I can't wait to come back when it's a little cooler.

Oryn G.

Yelp
Beer tastes dirty, employees take up the entire space, being loud and making it hard to order. Food was okay. Place was dirty. Not even sure they clean anything there. Parking is terrible.
google avatar

Yelp
Rarely does a place offer an environment where you would feel comfortable bringing your friends, your parents, your dogs and your kids- but that's what East Nashville Beer Works provides. Beers are great, service is casual, food is decent, but the atmosphere is the real deal. This place is spacious and accommodating and never too busy to feel uncomfortable.
google avatar

Yelp
Great outdoor space. Beer variety = vast. Attention to good service. Return for a neighborhood vibe

Yelp
SUMMARY. Great place in East. Backyard/outside area is perfect for both intimate experiences and large groups, and they offer a big screen projector (movie theater style) for sports games (among other things). They have a great selection of beer, and their food is better than other breweries I've been to. Altogether recommend. RESERVATION. I've been here several times and never made a reservation. Haven't ever had any issues. I'm not even sure they take reservations. AMBIENCE. The ambience is perhaps the best part. The inside is fine (no complaints), but the outside is spectacular. It's huge and offers picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. It's dog friendly, and they offer a projector screen for sporting events (among other things). I always sit outside here if the weather is nice. LOCATION. It's off Trinity in East, so it can feel a little off the beaten path. However, this should be expected for many places in East. The brewery is less than a mile from the Trinity exit off of 24/65, which is nice. There is also a parking lot, which I have never seen full after 8 (although I imagine there can be high-traffic times). QUALITY. The quality is great! The beers are awesome, and the food is definitely much better than most breweries I've been to. I've tried several of their food items and am yet to be disappointed. SERVICE. Beers and food are both ordered at the bar, and the food is brought out to you. I feel like I never wait long for food to come, and the bar line has never been more than a 1-2 person wait. I've never encountered a single staff member who wasn't friendly. Still, I like to come after 8 on weekdays, so it is possible weekends have higher traffic. VALUE. It's not crazy expensive, but it is not on the cheap side either. I would say value is on-par with a great brewery offering a wide selection of beer and awesome food in East Nashville. My girlfriend and I usually spend around $50 between the two of us, which usually includes 2 drinks each and a food item to share. TAKEAWAYS. Definitely worth checking out for the beer alone. The great food is definitely an added benefit. HIGHLY recommend coming when the weather is nice and sitting outside, as I feel that this is integral to getting the full experience. Expect to spend $25-$30 (all-in with tax and tip) on a couple of beers with some food. Happily, Clayton Cohn

Yelp
All the reasons I love this place: (1) they have a great variety of beers, which means I can take my friends who don't necessarily *love* beer and they'll find something they enjoy; (2) the pizza, ESPECIALLY the cheese sticks, is phenomenal; (3) it's so chill; (4) plenty of parking; (5) great outdoor space

Yelp
A visit here on a whim, after rolling into Nashville in the late evening this local brewery was within walking distance of where we were staying. Couldn't have asked for a more hospitable Nashville welcome from the bartender working the front. She helped talk through their menu and expansive draft list! So many things I wanted to try, so naturally the flight is the way to go. Decent pricing on food and drink, and really good pizzas! The bartender heard we were new in town and provided us with a ton of local recommendations on a handwritten note - great way to kick off our RV Trip back in December. I'd definitely go back for the brews and the food!
google avatar

Ryan P.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick beer. The food menu looked a little too limited (mostly pizzas). Ordered a Get The Jab IPA, which was good, but didn't see anything else worthwhile on the tap list. The place has a lot of outdoor seating (and a playground for young kids), but we were looking for more air conditioning.
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
The beer is delicious. I have tried a few and my husband has tried a few as well. We schlep our kid along with us. We bribe her with a pizza. Today she also got an orange cream soda. Both of which were amazing. I took 2 "Trips to Mars" today and my husband partook in Obsidian. I have also had Miro Miso. I am not disappointed in the beer or service. Will go back! Our favorite been in Nashville.
google avatar

Maggie D.

Yelp
Their pizza and beer are both solid. They have a good enough variety to satisfy craft beer and non-craft beer people alike. Generally very good service. That being said, the place is almost always overrun by small children and their parents who allow them to run everywhere, inside and out. That's kind of their "thing," but for those of us who prefer pizza and beer without the company of screaming children throwing goldfish on the ground and running all over the place, I'd wait until after 8 PM to go. Or try Smith and Lentz! If family friendly is your vibe, check it out.
google avatar

Bryan P.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to hang out in East Nashville. Good beer. Good food. Friendly service. I like the atmosphere inside, but the outdoor beer garden is especially great.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
We came for the Vegan Taco Pizza featuring seitan and cheese from The Behive and man!!! Did not disappoint! We ended up ordering a 2nd pizza because it was so delicious. This was our first visit and we will for sure come back. The patio was wonderful and having the citronella candles available was a nice touch.

John A.

Yelp
Was not impressed with the white pizza. Dry, chalky mess never will try it again! Wasn't impressed by the food.

Yelp
There is good and some not so good here, at least in my opinion. A definite positive is they have food, which many of the micros in town do not have. Also a very nice spot. Here are my feelings. Atmosphere: Very nice. Small bar, but plenty of other seating. Also a nice outside space when the weather is warm enough. Food: I feel it is decent. With some of the micros having even better options, it did not knock me out, but I appreciated it more than Tennessee Brew Works (I feel they oversalt their food). Service: Another "did not knock me, but did not upset me". The bartender was knowledgeable about their beer, so everything worked for me. Beer: There are some nice flavors, but I found the beer had a very light mouthfeel, which does not work with a lot of styles. Fortunately, they do a lot of different styles and the flavors are good, but they don't stick with you very long. I think East Nashville would be a good place to chill on the deck and have a nice beer, if I lived on this side of town. But, it is not a place I would drive out of my way to visit.

Yelp
Time to kick back with some friends for bit? Well, what better is there than a cold beer and some pub grub? (I know...there are plenty of people who would say, "lots of things are." But for me, (especially if you keep track of my favorite kinds of check-ins) East Nashville Beer Works fits the bill very nicely. To begin, the brews - from Sweet Blonde, Miro Miel sweetened with honey to ENBW's smoky Hickory Porter with grains smoked over hickory wood follow the trends of today's brewmasters. These two beers are on opposite ends of the test spectrum for me. However, right in the middle are two of East Nashville Beer Works IPAs: Swing Bridge and East Bank Citra. Both of these are hop-forward but do not finish bitter and...both pair well with several of ENBW's grub offerings. Fire of the Century really wowed me. Yes, I'll drink it again (and again.) On a recent visit with a large group of friends, we shared an assortment of appetizers and pizzas. The hummus was ok, but the salsa verde took me back to my days in New Mexico. ¡Deliciosa! And the pizzas (smallish pub style) were absolutely perfect for beer tasting intermingled with social interaction. (Our group spent several hours here. Tip of the hat to ENBW's hospitality.) While The Buffalo Chicken Pizza fell a little short, but was fine with some of my friends, while Classic Margherita Pizza, Veggie Pizza, and Italian were the true standouts for me; chewy crust with just the right amount of toppings All-in-all its a very casual - sometimes very busy - minimalist-decorated place to wile away some fun hours...check out their dart boards, Corn Hole, or just sit back on the patio-deck or picnic tables and sip some great suds.

Yelp
My wife and I were on vacation in Nashville and were trying out a bunch of tap rooms. This place had a lot of good beers of tap and they had a pizza and a beer for $12 during happy hour. Nice. We got two pizzas, the buffalo chicken and the sriracha chicken pizza. Both were fantastic and the beers I got were also splendid. The Swing Bridge IPA was well balanced and refreshing. I also tried their other IPA, East Bank. Both were awesome.

Yelp
Officially one of my new favorite breweries in town! The outdoor beer garden sets this place apart. It is so pretty and peaceful you would never know you are on a busy street. Bring bug spray though. They do their best with the citronella candles but I left with quite a few bites. I ordered a flight, and there wasn't a beer I didn't like. Everything from the IPAs, seasonals, and stouts were great! And if you drink a little too much like I did... their pizzas are great ;)

Christina H.

Yelp
Don't bother coming for food at dinner time on Saturday. If you did, your only choice is pizza and the whole kitchen could be on a hour break. I've never seen anything like that in my life especially at 7:00 pm on a Saturday. I had to clear and clean my own table in order to have a place to put my beer I got on my own. I'm not sure what my tip was for. Beer was good but now I'm getting fast food on my way home.

Q Q.

Yelp
Was having a great time here until I nearly chipped a tooth biting into a small pebble that had somehow been baked into my pizza. It's a shame because it's otherwise a nice place but I don't think we'll be back until they improve their food safety standards.

Yelp
Brewery is super cool, great vibe and good beers! Only downside is the kids birthday party ‍ it was a little weird to be kinda drunk with toddlers and new borns. Overall great place!

Yelp
Update: Still in love with this place. It's the perfect brewery. Friendly staff, parking is easy to find, the beer is super delicious, their menu is the perfect (pizza & appetizers- the cheesy garlic bread is a must-try!), and the space is beautiful. Their indoor area is awesome and the outdoor area is even better- cozy outdoor lighting and they even had citronella candles to keep the bugs away! Oh and the best thing... it's dog friendly! We really loved pup-watching here. I would love to come back again one day!

Yelp
Great local brewery in East Nashville. It's easy to get to and has plenty of parking. There is seating inside and outside (with heaters for the winter). We were there on a Saturday night and the place was packed--always a good sign. They had a nice selection of beer and even offered wine and cider for us non-beer drinkers. They have a limited food menu -- the pizza looked good and we will have to try that the next time we go. We just got chips and salsa to snack on while we sipped our drinks. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Good food, good beer! This a great spot in the off- East growing Dickerson corridor. First time here, but we will be back. I'd recommend the Hipster Dance Party Double IPA! Excellent pour with an even better name.

Yelp
UPDATE For 3rd visit. ONE THING that bugs me - no "splash" tastes of their beers - really?? I think your maybe missing the forest for the trees on this policy. The owner had his logic behind his policy, but I don't think most folks would agree ... .oh and their new citra IPA was great (even without the splash to confirm prior to purchasing a pint ;) ) ------------- This is my second visit ... 1st review. I have learned from experience that in the exploding Nashville Brewery Mkt that many new places somewhat rush to open. Maybe to start paying bills, maybe because of freshman exuberance ... Because of that rush I have been disappointed multiple times at selection, taste/aftertaste of beer and sometimes water filtration issues that seem not dialed in. My first visit here was week 2 of opening, I believe they had 1 or 2 of their beers available. So ... if you visited early on and were not fully enthusiastic - it's time to revisit East Nashville Beer Works. Onto my second visit -- very dialed in selection of their beers. Wifey and I enjoyed their IPA - nice taste and hoppy finish and were happy to see the other 5 beers on the board. We will plan on getting more into selections on the next visit, but IPA was a solid 4/5 stars!! The other real reason to venture out here is the vibe. Darts inside, plenty of sports on Tv and garage doors open to the night air. The back porch was in full swing; family's, multiple doggies hanging out, twinkling lights overhead. Owners of ENBW you did a great job designing your place - so happy now that the beer matches/exceeds the reason to stop by for a few !!!

Yelp
I've been here a few times now. Most of the time pleasant, if crowded. I've only managed to park in their parking lot once, but that's usually because they're having some kid-friendly event and every parent in town is trying to get there. The food is bar food, pizza, it's ok but not great. What they've got on tap is good. Most of the place is above average, with the outdoor seating and play space being great as you can just chuck your children out there and they've made some friends. I came here once and the place was goat-ridden, which was awesome. Scores of people feeding tiny goats. Plenty of parents saying "get off that goat Kenneth!" and "they're not for riding, they're for mowing lawns." Every time I've been here I want to come back... but due to the kiddos it's usually not somewhere we trek to often. Also with having to take a hike from parking it's also not particularly desirable when there's an event and you go down the side streets and there are people sitting in the street casting "get off my street" looks at you and pointing to their handmade no parking signs.

Yelp
The staff here was especially rude all day today. It's like they forgot what customer service was. I have visited this restaurant/brewery on multiple occasions and the service was so so but the beer and food was good. Today I was attending a gathering at the location At 6:30 I ordered some light food because I was getting hungry. I ordered the Pita and hummus which I will say is some of the best I've ever had. I waited over 35 mins and finished a beer. When I went to order my 2nd one I checked with the bartender on my food. She said it was over an hour wait for food in a rude fake smile kind of way. Saying it was my fault for coming on such a busy day and that I needed to be patient. Me being the person I am I said sorry no one told me that when I ordered but I understand I will wait. 7:30 comes around and I'm ready for my next beer and I'm starting to get really hungry. I approached one of the food runners and asked about my food. He said "we ran out of hummus over an hour ago and that I needed to take it up with the bartender" I approached the bartender asking why I was never notified that my food was never going to make it(had I known I would have just left and went elsewhere) she stated that it wasn't their job to notify me and that my pita since it was ordered before 86ing and it should still be coming. As she was explaining to me what 86 meant like I'm stupid the manager walked up and jumped in my face saying I was being rude to the server for asking what was going on with my food. He then stated that they were completely out and my food wasn't going to make it... an hour after waiting for it. He then continued to talk to me like I'm stupid and look down on me and say how busy they are and that I'm just one customer of many like they don't care that I'm upset because I ordered food and it had been over an hour since I've been waiting. I will never patron this place again. Worst experience I've had since moving to Nashville and boy do I love to eat.

Yelp
Their stout is amazing, so strong it's only served in a half pint. Their dunkel has such a strong coffee flavor its really overpowering, and the same with the hickory smoked ale, too smoky. The blueberry ale isnt very berry but has a light fruity flavor. Their barbeque pizza is flavorful with a good crust. You can taste the blended cheeses which adds a nice touch but theyre very skimpy on the meat. The servers are all friendly and the outdoor patio and yard are super comfortable, a nice place to relax.

Yelp
Definitely planning to go back. Overall, a really neat place. Lots to do and a good amount of space, inside and out. Tried an IPA, which was pretty good. The pizza was also surprisingly pretty good as well (definitely good enough "brewery food"). I like how there's a deck, a grassy area for corn hole, and a dart/game area. One thing that NEEDS to change... they don't offer free beer samples. They suggest flights, but if somebody just wants to try a beer, you're out of luck. It can be thimble-sized, but there's no reason not to allow samples. It costs literally nothing. IMO somebody is much more likely to tell you how much they dislike a beer if they get one they don't like in a flight and force it down as opposed to simply trying a sample. Address this ENBW and you'll be my favorite brewery in East Nashville. Currently Smith & Lentz, and Southern Grist might have the edge..
