"A decrepit warehouse overlooking the onramp to the DVP, East Room is the ultimate product of gentrification. It's the stunning collision of grit and design. The brothers behind East Room have curated a space that brings together freelancers of the design, writing, cooking, content creation, futurist, and strategy variety. It's a bright, modern space with a slightly masculine flair, plenty of greenery, and almost museum-grade design features sprinkled throughout. It boasts several levels of membership; from general members with access to all the common areas, to designated desks with small separators, and fully private, semi-furnished offices. It's coworking for the aesthetically-inclined; and they throw an amazing party." - Medina Abdelkader

V beautiful co-working space tucked in an old factory by the highway. They also rent amenities out for meetings + you can sign up to have mail delivered here. Music's great too: https://soundcloud.com/eastroom

East Room 50 Carroll is an exceptional co-working space. It's comfortable and very adaptable to working on my own or engaging in private meetings. It's a great environment for collaborating with many creative and business minded people. The entire team is highly supportive to the members. A big shoutout to Ruby D. as a friendly and helpful Community Associate !

The best coworking spot in the city. Event space is really kick ass as well. Hosted a 50 person founders’ event here and it was easy, well priced and super flexible.

We had our holiday party there and what an amazing event space. Perfect for our medium sized company to celebrate with all of our plus ones. Complete with comfy seating, large area for band and very gorgeous decor. Loved it!

Having moved to the east side of the city, I discovered this coworking space a few days ago. And I am already addicted to it! It offers several kinds of memberships in an amazing building. Staff is great, shared amenities are awesome. If you live around, do not hesitate: East Room will be your best shared work and social space option.

Yelp
It's like stepping into an Instagram. Co-working spaces are a dime a dozen nowadays. All of which work to cater to the whims and wherewithal of the burgeoning creative class. Nowhere that I've experienced has 'got it' quite as well as the accommodating ambiance and fine cosmetic curation exhibited at East Room. That's not a small feat. It's a world where everything is filtered to exacting standards. Every element from the mid century modern furniture to the Aesop soap in the restrooms seems hand-picked to portray the enthusiasm of entrepreneurship and the celebration of connoisseurship. This is a place where they call their patrons 'members'. A place where they devote as much energy to building a creative program full of music as they do to having a functional workspace. It's a jaw drop every time you walk in the room. The entire space is formed around several communal areas that are warm, inviting and accessible. Is it an office? Absolutely not. Is it a nightspot? No. It's best described as a 'cultural incubator'. Sure, this is casual commerce. But it works. Unlike other spots of this sort, there aren't people coding away on dark computers in self-exile. And somehow they've kept the douchebag-filter on 'strict'. I've been incredibly impressed at the consistent caliber of interesting and influential people who have entered the space. Will the space's expansion be able to maintain the culture? It's hard to say. Nonetheless, at this moment this is by far and away the most interesting environment in the city.

Yelp
Went to the Halloween Studio45 party that was open bar. $45/person. Sold out. Ran out of liquor before midnight lol. Coatcheck and port-a-potties were located outside. This wasn't very convenient as it was super cold out - also DARK in the potties. The basement was definitely trashed though. Lots of spills, and cans and glasses on the floor. Not enough garbage cans, obviously. An Instagram corner of course - with disco balls. Crazy to contrast it with the rest of the basement area. Music was good, but there wasn't enough/any real disco tracks. The crowd wasn't really crazy at any point. Maybe it just wasn't my type of party?

Yelp
I love working here! The staff are helpful and kind, the space inspires creativity and every detail has been considered. I do wish there was easier parking, but maybe I'll dust off my bike... :)
