The employees were way tooooo busy talking to each other in Spanish and not paying attention to any customers. Placed my order at the kiosk, only person there, and it still took 4-5 min to get the pizza because no one even looked at the paper printing in the machine. The cheese pizza could have cooked and browned some! The crust is paper thin. There is little flavor. Definitely choose somewhere else to grab a bite when at the airport.

Google
East Side Pies pizza is pretty good thin pizza in Austin. The airport location is no different, but the prices are inflated because they’ve got to pay the inflated rent in an airport spot. The service is good, but I’ve only been there when it has not been busy, But five dollars for a bottle of water? That’s a little crazy.

Andrea Rivera

Google
The taste was okay. Nothing to be "WOWed" about. However, the $7 price point for this was Crazy!! I didn't know what I was going to get. I knew I had ordered a sausage and pepperoni slice. Pictures showed a thick crust and a larger slice. Did I get the smallest slice? Also, it says Pie in the name. It is not a PIE it's just a cracker with sauce, chz, and two pepperonis and three crumbles of sausage. Never again.

Google
Very nice. I like the flavor and the size of the pizza. So I can get it to you when you can you please get me a new one and I will be there in a few minutes if you want to come over and get me a drink and I'll be there in a few minutes and I'll let her out at an hour then I'll be back in a few hours if you want me know if you want to.

Google
Very mediocre pizza. Thin crust. No much flavor. The tomato sauce tastes super bland.

Christian Rencken

Google
This was the single worst slice of pizza I’ve ever had. And the place has the audacity to charge $7 per slice. The world would be a better place if pizza of this quality did not exist.

theadamp23

Google
People are complaining about price, but finding anything to eat for $6 in an airport is hard. The pizza was very good! Price is also pretty good for an airport.

Google
I am starting this review on a positive - great 🍕. We ordered a large pepperoni, and it was delicious. My SO ordered, and his description for the service - "it was like I was inconveniencing them by ordering food." 🙃 If the airport could add additional seating for food, that would be great! K, thanks!

Yelp
Sure a slice was $7 which is kind of high but compared to the $20+ brisket sandwich being offered at nearby Salt Lick, $7 felt like a bargain. And I actually found it super tasty too. Some people seemed to complain about the crust being thin but... you can see that before you order it... so I don't get why you would choose to buy a thin crust pizza if you know you won't like it and then slam it... I actually love thin crust pizza, so I was a fan.

Yelp
I got a slice of pizza when landing here two nights ago before I left the airport, have the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced...

Shelby P.

Yelp
Got the sausage and pepperoni pizza for dinner last night and ended my vacation with food poisoning that I had to deal with on my 4 hour flight.
google avatar

Katrina P.

Yelp
I got two slices of cheese before my flight and they were the soggiest, limpest slabs of pizza I've ever seen in my life. I pretty much love all pizza but these slices were not okay.
google avatar

Yelp
Not bad pizza. Price was decent considering in airport. First time trying this place and I am a fan. I am not a big thin crust unless it is chewy. Don't like the flat cracker tasting pizza crust. It looked decent, almost NY style so I figured why not. Crust was a nice surprise, light and chewy, but with decent crisp underneath. Could have been just a smidgin thicker since the toppings were fantastic and heavy for that crust. So I ate it NY style folding it. Was a little greasy but that is what I expect when they use real ingredients and it has two meats. Will definitely try the one in Austin for more varieties since not too many options here. Service was awesome with the auto kiosk. Had my slice in less than a minute.

Yelp
Got pizza for my little girl. Unfortunately it was covered in black pepper (unexpectedly) and she wouldn't eat it. I tried it and it was okay. Very greasy. We grabbed some napkins to soak it up and her dad and I finished it off.

Yelp
Not that great if I'm honest. It's cheaper than the other pizza place in the terminal, but the experience is worse. The crust is REALLY thin and that makes it difficult to eat. It just falls apart under its own wait. Another downside is there just isn't much flavor. I would stay clear personally.
google avatar

Jason R.

Yelp
I wanted to grab a quick slice before my flight and stopped here. One slice was $7 bucks, which was ridiculous, but whatever. As I sat down to eat it, I quickly realized this was horrible pizza. The worker for some reason gave me an extra slice but it wasn't much better. The pizza was very thin and flimsy and is $1 pizza quality and wouldn't recommend this to anyone! Maybe I'm being extra hard on them because I'm from NYC and surely know what good pizza taste like, however, I surely know, this isn't it!

Yelp
Customer service is a 5/5- the people that work here are nice. Convenience 5/5 - across from the terminals along the main walkway. Near restrooms. Very fast. You can order slices ($6/cheese, $6.50/pepperoni) or you can order a whole pie ($??). There are high top tables right in front of the ordering area. There are no outlets that I could see, but once you're done eating you could go find some near your terminal. Food- 2.5-3/5- I ordered two cheese slices. They were fine. I love pizza, so I'm a little harsh when it comes to my rating of pizzas. I didn't expect to have excellent pizza in an airport, but if I'm going to have not great pizza, I'd rather have something like Sbarro which has more flavor than this. This pizza is thin crust- which I love- I think they are going for a NY style in a sense, but the crust is not NY style. The crust is almost like a cracker. It's super crispy on the edges. The crust under the sauce and cheese is not as crispy as the edges, but I still don't think it's great. The sauce has an average flavor. The cheese is the forward flavor. In any case, if I flew into Austin, were on a layover again, and I REALLY wanted pizza, I'd get it, but I wouldn't be excited about it. Also, THIS IS IMPORTANT!!- because it's so thin, and because there is no doughiness to the crust, it's not very filling. I ordered 2 slices and I'm still hungry. For $12 ($6/slice), definitely not worth that price, but that's what airport food costs, so what are we to do?

Yelp
Every time my daughters and I fly early in the morning, they always ask for pizza. Every time, the employees are so happy and polite. Today we had a great experience! Thank you for making my morning travel so much better!
google avatar

Yelp
The kiosk in Terminal 4 has absolutely amazing pizza by the slice, some of the best that I've ever had! The crust is both crispy where it needs to be, and soft and foldable (like large Brooklyn-style slices) where it needs to be. The cheese is SO flavorful and juicy, and the pepperoni slices are fresh and huge. Service is super fast, and the price ($7) is very reasonable for airport food. (Another airport pizza joint charges $12 for one stale cheese slice.) Some diners don't seem to understand that this style of pizza is supposed to be juicy and foldable, hence the flabby/cheesy slice tips. Delicious!
google avatar

Eric O.

Yelp
Flying back home to Chicago, and wanted something to eat before getting on our plane. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, two slices. These are lacking in taste and a ton of grease. The cheese tastes old and the pepperonis were very greasy. We should have passed and waited to get back home.
google avatar

Yelp
I just watched an employee exit a bathroom stall next to the location, by pass all the sinks and return to work with out washing his hands. Find another place to eat at this airport.
google avatar

Jeff C.

Yelp
Pizza was the bad for a joint at the airport, I likes the kiosk setup to order the food pretty neat if u ask me and affordable for 2 slices for $7..nice place to stop thru.
google avatar

Tammi B.

Yelp
First off...the brick and mortar Eastside Pies is some of the best pizza in Austin. I am sure if they knew how horrible this one at the airport is ran they would gladly pull out to save their great reparation. Paid at the Kiosk to "make the process go faster". Well apparently the "cashier" wasn't available and none of the non-English speaking workers can read a receipt? The line built up as I stood there for 20 minutes just trying to get someone to hand me my two slices of "hot" pizza like I saw the two people in front of me given. BUT NO...try to finally hand me a piece of greasy cold pizza from the warmer...NO! I'm glad I didn't have a flight to catch for another hour. Airport food should at least be faster than not. WORSE AIRPORT EATING EXPERIENCE EVER. Avoid at all cost.
google avatar

Erin M.

Yelp
First time ever in Austin. We stopped in for a connecting flight. Thought with pizza you can't go wrong. Workers were unfriendly. We waited and waited for our order. When I finally approached they said they had no pending orders and then I showed my receipt and then they gave me our pizza. Pizza was thin, greasy and almost zero flavor. For the price, we were very disappointed. Hopefully this is seen and they can improve

Siobhan D.

Yelp
Oof, that was the greasiest slice of pizza I've ever eaten, but the crust was crispy and it tasted good. Order and pay at kiosk then pick up 2 minutes later. Quick. I ordered a Diet Pepsi at the kiosk, but there was no bottles actually available so I took a Diet Dr. Pepper, not ideal but passable. I'd skip this next time I'm at the Austin airport. I walked past better options. But not bad for airline food, and $11 for pizza and a soda is pretty reasonable for an airport.

Brad Kelly B.

Yelp
Probably the worst crust I've ever had in my life and they didn't have any selection of types of toppings! Not even worth wasting your time or money on this!
google avatar

Jennifer V.

Yelp
Thin pizza. Pepperoni cooking food not look consistent. Pie that came out of the oven after I assist got my slice looked more cook like it would have a a better crunch on the pepperoni, whereas mine looks like chewy dough.
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Terrible and over priced. I ordered two slices at 1:00 so they were pretty fresh. Somehow the crust was burned and thin with a potato chip texture. Amazingly the actual crust under the toppings was mushy. Impossible to eat with 1 hand. I am rethinking the saying about pizza and sex, even when they are bad... they are good. This pizza was bad. Anyone giving this pizza 3 stars has terrible taste in pie. Staff was supper helpful and friendly. 5/5

Yelp
Shocked at the negative reviews. I can't speak to the customer service which seems to be the main complaint because my wife picked up slices while I watched the bags, it sounds like all they had were cheese slices and pepperoni slices. Looking at photos from the original location and the airport location, these slices looked way more like the ones from the original location than the other photos posted here. Slices the size of your head, thin crust/NY style pizza. I didn't try the cheese, but my wife and daughter both loved their slices. My pepperoni slice was excellent. My wife and I agreed that the pizza was better than our favorite NY-style pizza places at home. Generally airport locations fall short of "normal" locations, but if the airport one was this good, the normal spots have to be some sort of higher plane of pizza heaven. The stripped-down menu is probably a function of COVID and may be why the place is nailing it - they keep it super simple and absolutely crush the two kinds of pie they're making.
google avatar

Justine Y.

Yelp
Horrible service! There is a lady in the area that works at the chicken sandwich shop, maybe the manager for the area, that is extremely rude. I would have to say of all of Austin she takes the cake for worst service ever. If she's working, you probably want to avoid this place at all costs. The food quality and other people are great. If you're in a hurry, probably skip and go to another spot. 1/5 star based on service which contributes to the whole experience, they redeemed themselves with one extra star for the pizza.
google avatar

Katherine P.

Yelp
The two stars is for the customer service but I give the pizza three stars. Easy to place your order at the kiosk then wait for your pizza. Stood there for about 5 minutes watching the person behind the counter stare at the pizza ovens but there were pizza slices on the counter. I thought she was waiting on the pizza to warm up or something. She made no eye contact and said nothing. All of a sudden she asked for the customer's receipt in front of me and handed a pizza from the counter. The pizza was think crust and crispy and pretty good for airport food.

Yelp
Really good pizza! For airport food it beats any pizza I've bought in an airport. I have traveled every week for the past 37 years, so I have eaten a lot of airport food! They serve just cheese and cheese with pepperoni slices. I feel you really get a genuine taste of the pizza if you buy a cheese slice instead of it being covered up with a bunch of toppings. It has a micro thin crust (which I absolutely love) and a flavor packed sauce. Turned another crew member on to East Side, after she had eaten a few bites she wished she bought a second slice. Slice size is very generous and you can fold it and eat it the New York way. I'm not certain if you can add more toppings as I have limited time to get my food and get to the plane. Highly recommend if you want pizza before your flight. This was even better than Ray's pizza in NYC that I reviewed earlier.

Yelp
I made my own pizza using their computer screen functionality. The process behind it is pretty cool, but it also created a longer wait. I added italian sausage, roasted garlic, and basil to my pizza. Sadly, I thought my pizza's crust tasted burnt and bitter. The basil was also bruised and all dark, which could have meant that the ingredient sat there for a while. Overall, it's not a bad choice. But considering how much I paid, I was hoping it would have been a better experience.

Steve F.

Yelp
Again, terrible greeeeezy pizza. This is a second chance at yhe airport. Absolutely never ever again ever !!!
google avatar

Rebecca W.

Yelp
I love pizza... it's a comfort food and it warms my soul when I am the most uneasy. As much as I love airports, they still make me nervous. So, what do I do when I'm nervous or feeling uneasy? I eat something that makes me feel good and pizza makes me feel darn good! The fams and I got to our gate a couple hours early... yup cuz we're cool like that. We found a spot in front of a food court area and we were directly in front of this pizza spot. The pizzas were made directly in front of us and it was my daughter's first pick, when I asked her what she wanted to eat. Ordering easy through their digital p.o.s system. The wait wasn't long at all. It was a pretty good size for us (3) to share. I'm not going to say that the pizza was incredible, but I'm not going to say it was bad; definitely a strong 4-stars! We got our order in a box, so totally would've been perfect, if we had to take it on the plane with us. If you're looking for other eateries, check out the burger place, chicken sandwich spot and BBQ restaurants within their immediate vicinity. I might be back, whenever at the Austin airport.
google avatar

Olivia H.

Yelp
This is a far cry from actual East Side Pies locations in Austin. I once grabbed a ($14?!) pizza from here to go, and the grease ended up soaking through the box and onto the plane tray table. My deepest apologies to my gracious plane seat neighbor.
google avatar

Kim And Bobby D.

Yelp
Not friendly at all. Apparently the employee called my number to pick up my pizza slice but since I didn't hear her, she was reluctant to give me my pizza! Wow! I was shocked by her totally disregard for customer service. I had my receipt and everything. I ordered 1 slice, walked down the terminal to look at other restaurants and returned probably 6 min later. Not a great first impression Austin.
google avatar

Minh N.

Yelp
Are you effing kidding me? I paid $6 for this "sausage" breakfast sandwich. When I opened the package to eat it, I couldn't see the sausage so I pulled off the lid to see this crap. It looks like they took one whole sausage patty, and tore off about 1/4 of it and put it into the sandwich. WTF?? You're charging $6 for a sandwich and you can't even put in the whole sausage patty you greedy mofos. It's one thing to charge a lot for airport food but it's another thing to take advantage of people, showing them a photo of a sandwich with a patty so big you can see it when the buns on are on, but when you actually get the product, it's crumbles that you get. I will not be giving my $$ to greedy local companies like east side pies anymore. {photos posted}
google avatar

Tinky R.

Yelp
East side of what? Oakland? This pie isn't a pie- it's a communion wafer with tomato paste The service is even worse than the food. Keep on strolling through the airport....much better options. There's a vending machine at gate 4
google avatar

HootieT R.

Yelp
If this is any indication of the original I'll pass. Computer kiosk for ordering seemed to take longer than a human and it was hard to customize a specialty pizza ie no onions on a Bucemi. Pizza was just meh...main memorable thing was onions advertised as "roasted onions" was in realty COLD, limp onions. Gross!

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Ate a slice at ABIA. If you love soggy thin cardboard with a blob of gooey cheese on it at $6 a pop, then you will love it. They should be embarrassed to call it pizza. Would be better off with a repulsive national chain. They should either make real pizza or close back down. Seriously, thinner than a saltine. Flimsy. No taste. Absolutely disgusting. I'm embarrassed it's at AUS. Gives Austin restaurants a horrible name.
google avatar

Pascal S.

Yelp
The pizzas look like 800 degrees but without the option to customize as much - I'd say decent for airport pizzas!
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
Yes! Just like the east side pies... on the east side of Austin. Great customer service and crispy, thin crust pizza. This location did not disappoint, as I feared it might as it's in an airport. Serving up a yummy slice of Austin.

Tami N.

Yelp
5 stars to the manager, Carmen who went above and beyond to help out a weary traveler. The pizza itself is unremarkable (I'm extremely picky and don't eat orally very often so I'm not the beat judge) the service and kindness is unmatched. Thank you to Carmen!
google avatar

Bon Bon M.

Yelp
It's tomato sauce on a cracker. Yuck! And it's microscopic size to boot. And good luck getting any sort of help... do yourself a favor and keep walking.
google avatar

Christina J.

Yelp
Fatima was so damn pleasant. I had a long travel day and you know how one positive encounter can just change the course of your day? Service was fast, pizza was great. About as good as quick airport food gets.

RL E.

Yelp
I've eaten at the actual restaurant and thought the pizza was really good. This place is nothing like it though... pizza was super thin and burnt to a crisp. Overpriced like typical airport food.

Samuel M.

Yelp
The airport location says closed, but it's open but should be closed! The staff was very rude and dismissive to its customers .. yelling at the customers that they "weren't cashiers" and to use the kiosk! I was standing right there as the worker called the WRONG number ... got mad because I didn't answer and threw the side back on the counter ... the cashier was very NASTY.. when I told her that they were the rudest I have even met, she said "Thank you" .. I won't be returning ... I'd give it negative stars if I could

Analicia B.

Yelp
The worst spot you can come to here at the airport the supervisor Stacy very mean rude I asked her for help on the kiosk she shook her shoulders and told the employee to help me she was there on her phone eating to busy to help me. After all that the cashier charged me an item I didn't purchase I had to wait 10 min for a refund and the same supervisor came she saw that it was me rolled her eyes and went on about talking to me very rudely in-front if my family. Management really sucks around here!!! DONT COME TO WORK IF ALL YOU DO IS EAT AND GIVE PEOPLE ATTITUDE WHEN ALL THEY NEED IS HELP AND ASSISTANCE! Overall food here was bitter not worth the price!!

Eric W.

Yelp
Every Eastside Pies has vegan cheese for their pizzas...except the airport...I guess vegans don't fly.

Priya S.

Yelp
Good pizza and great service! Glad we didn't use the kiosk to order our food.....we would have missed out on meeting Fatima and Darrell who were great!

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Shout out to Armando! He makes me the most delish pizza every week during my Austin airport time! Fast, friendly and yummy!!! Kudos!!

Karen W.

Yelp
Just had awful experience at the airport location. We all have flights to catch so the concept of making pizzas in order would be greatly appreciated. Didn't happen today and the man running the oven was anything but pleasant. Have never seen a plain pizza take so much longer than the heavily loaded one.
