Update:
After this post, Gregg reached out to me to address the situation. He was very empathetic/understanding about my experienceand promised to make it right. I will be giving Eastside Boilers another try, I feel like it will be a much better visit. Thank you, Gregg for taking the time to listen and putting in the effort to grow! It really does make a difference.
I really enjoy going to Willie's Joint, but East Side Boilers rubbed me the wrong way tonight. I paid as any honest customer would but, not happy that they were dishonest in their pricing. I bought 3lbs of crawfish and 1lb of shrimp and it was charged $11+ over menu price. Their product was good but, when I mentioned the over charge, the only response from the snooty (to say the least) cashier was, "I'm sorry, We'll change it." She even said, " You can leave a tip right there.", pointing to the tip prompt. I would have hoped they would have changed the pricing on the menu immediately but, I was mistaken. After 2 hrs, the menu price remained the same and I would encourage Willie's Joint to address their "Less than honest" 3rd party tenant, as it is not right for them to charge more than menu price with out being properly annotated on their menu prior to purchase. Please see the pictures as proof. Willie's Joint will always be a "go-to" but, East Side Boilers will need a change of business model to re-gain my trust.
