"Eat A Pita, a fast-food spot that served pita sandwiches, salad, ribs, and more, has closed at 3155 N. Halsted Street. An Old Town location had closed years ago near Division and LaSalle. The owner, in a Yelp comment, said he was going to retire after 30 years." - Daniel Gerzina

Come for the laid back atmosphere, stay for all of the tasty pitas and wraps. My personal favorite is the pineapple walnut chicken salad pita. So so good! The employees are friendly and cheerful, and always willing to help out or give advice if you aren't sure about a particular dish. My wife turned me on to this place a few years ago, and we both love the food.

The patio seating is fun and The atmosphere is very laid back. The staff were super friendly and had my order ready quickly. The chocolate cherry milkshake was out of this world! I also recommend the zuchinni sticks. The entrees aren't anything special, but I enjoyed my food. (The milkshake though... I want another). I think I'll be returning.

So good. We ordered on Grubhub due to a special and we were so glad we did. The food was such a good price and you get a lot of good. I got the chicken gyro which was HUGE, it wasn’t in your traditional fluffy pita, it was a wrap, but it was still really good. I would recommend extra sauce. The rice was amazing. My boyfriend got the chicken kabob platter. Even the Milkshakes were delicious!!!

I've been here about 3 times and I'm always surprised that I'm the only one in the whole place. It's got a good location and it does look a little like my grandma's house inside but the food is pretty good and even better, its cheap. They have more than 50 things on the menu and when I have gone with other people I appreciated that we could all get whatever we liked at one place. The last time I went I got fish and chips for $5, I've never gotten it that cheap anywhere else.

What's not to like about Eat A Pita? Great food, a nice big dining room, and friendly staff that actually politely answers questions about their big menu! They don't believe in skimping on their servings here, so if you're hungry and don't have a ton of money they're a great place to come eat and relax for a bit.

Chicken teriyaki stir fry pita was delicious, can exchange the fries for soup as well. We came to see the Blue Man Group and wanted something quick, good, and cheap. This place nailed it all. Clean place/bathroom - added plus. Excellent service.

Visited for the first time today, and got the vegetarian platter. It's just the right amount of everything and included the best hummus and falafel I've ever had. The patio is nice on a cool day.
