Seattle Restaurant Openings for September 2025 | Eater Seattle

"Opened in the former Glo’s space on Olive Way near the Goodwill, this small-plates spot mixes familiar items like sliders with more adventurous options such as chicken feet, and stays open late—until midnight most nights and 2 a.m. on weekends." - Harry Cheadle

Eat Asian Tapas - Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The former Glo’s space on Olive Way has been reborn as a Korean spot specializing in tapas and small plates. The menu is long with things like kalbi sliders, kimchi pancakes, and fried chicken feet. And, in true Capitol Hill fashion, they’re keepinglate-nighthours—open until midnight most days and 2am on weekends." - Kayla Sager-Riley

This place is an absolute gem. The food is exceptional every dish is beautifully portioned, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. I especially love the Korean-inspired tapas concept; it’s perfect for sharing and trying a little bit of everything with your fav drinks! The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and welcoming, it feels like dining among friends. The staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, and what really sets this place apart is being able to chat with the chef who personally prepared our dishes. It adds such a unique, personal touch that makes the meal feel extra special. Between the great food, fun conversations, and lively yet comfortable vibe, it’s the kind of place you just don’t want to leave. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys good food, good people, and a relaxed, social dining experience.

This place is truly 5 stars. We stumbled upon it walking around Seattle and wow. Not a Korean food expert by any means I’ve had my fair share, but I wouldn’t say that it’s my thing. Nonetheless, I did live in Japan for three years so I have a good understanding of Asian food and Korean food in Japan, which is a very high-quality and execution level. This place is legit. The flavours are incredible, dishes were cooked to perfection, and portion sizes are perfect to experience different things.

Taste is good, actually great, but soooo pricy. $5 a chicken skin skewer for smaller than pointy nail pieces just blowed our mind. We ordered three so that’s $15. Americans, please note that yakisoba, seafood pancake, army stew, corn cheese, and skewers are cheapest Asian street food that should never be priced as “luxury food”.

Google
Truly one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. The servers/owners here really care about making sure the food/drinks are good and up to par to your food taste but besides that, the food is delicious. would recommend their tartar, ssam and chicken gizzard!! shoutout to server Ji!!

I have no idea how to express our time here in words. You're just going to have to trust me on this one (even though you don't know me). By far one of THE! BEST! Asian fusion we have seen and been to. It's is such a CUTE hole in the wall, relaxing feeling, relaxing atmosphere, and so on and on. Photo:. Green beans - this is a new item and we were asked for feedback to which my wife and I both replied "it is SO GOOD! Maybe add a little spice with the sweet?" Regardless the green beans. SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! Kimchi - die for kimchi! House made kimchi? I'm coming back for a bucket! Chicken ontree - goodness! Goodness! Vegetable and short rib skewer - I don't eat meat but my wife does and I will say this short rib skewer....MELTED in my mouth! The veggies UGH! There was nothing on this table that I did not like. They have been open for one month and we WILL be back. I IMPLORE you to come and check this spot out. Come on over and enjoy a drink and some food and hit up Capitol Hill. You will not regret this spot!

Google
Simply amazing. The staff was super attentive and gave us lots of good recommendations and shots to try out. Order of my favorites 1. Lychee soju (honestly just buy the bottle you'll thank me later) 2. Pineapple soju 3. Watermelon (definitely get this with ice) The soju's are made with agave instead of sugar. I love tequila and this was just so interesting to try. The skewers reminded me of the small izakayas I went to in Japan. Order of my favorites again: 1. Chicken negima 2. Spicy Chicken 3. Fried chicken 3. Pork belly The beef skewer was a little drier than I prefer, but had a nice charred smokey flavor. Everything else was perfect and I have nothing to say besides try them. Again can't stress enough the staff are simply impeccable, the place is pricy but I can't wait to go again with a larger group!!! One small ask, I know this place is largely Korean food focused but if possible, just because the skewers are so amazing. I would absolutely love if there were chicken skin and chicken heart skewers!

Google
Ambience and service was great! I particularly liked the yukhoe, bokki and wontons, tempura, and skewers. The watermelon salad was a refreshing way to end the meal too. For beverages I HIGHLY recommend the lychee soju!

Google
Great service, the host was so kind and attentive. Chefs were clearly passionate about their food, the kimchi pancake, beef tartare, and pork chicharrones were so good. Convenient location as well, highly recommend!

Yelp
Best tteok-boki on the Hill! A few Korean restaurants in Capitol Hill have closed recently (Lil' Pocha, Soju Anju) so I was relieved when EAT opened up. I can say with confidence this is the best Korean food you can get on Capitol Hill right now. It's quaint, has a large menu of options, and the service is excellent. They take reservations but we walked in and were seated right away. It feels like you are in a small, family-owned restaurant in the big city. While we were there, one of our table neighbors bought the entire restaurant shots of melon soju. If you want to feel community, eat excellent and comforting delicious Korean food, then look no further! We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Wow just wow! This is a really nice place for a romantic date night or an intimate hangout spot for a small group. The service is authentic and charming! It is a small cozy spot with just a few tables but they really do make the best of the space. Ok now on to the food! Ttokboki + Potstickers (5/5) The ttokboki texture has the perfect amount of bounciness and the sauce that comes with it is so good it's addictive. The potsticker has a small amount of crunch but soft on the inside. I take that potsticker and also dip it with the ttokboki sauce as well. Chicken Ganjung (5/5) I saw someone write on Yelp that this is the best fried chicken in Capitol Hill. I put it to the test, and my taste buds absolutely agree. The delicate outside crunch, delicious sauce, and ultra soft and juicy chicken makes this a pleasure to eat to the very last bite. Beef Tartare (4/5) This beef tartare comes with thin slices of korean pear, pine nuts, micro greens and an egg yolk on top. It is recommended to mix all this up together. I think this is a very good flavorful dish but it is a tad on the salty side. It would be nice if this comes with some toasted bread to balance out the saltiness. Also, the meat came out slightly frozen which I asked them about and they said it's normal and by design but I prefer it to be warmed down a lot more for a more palatable experience. Terra Beer (5/5) This beer came out from a bottle but I really love that the glass was frozen so my beer tasted extra cold and crisp. This is one of those restaurants that truly value quality over quantity and that deep level of detail shines through the in the presentation, service and especially taste! This is a place not just to eat but to me an amazing culinary experience that's not going to break your bank. I'm so excited to come back and try everything else on the menu!

Yelp
I stumbled upon Eat Asian Tapas late one evening, and honestly, I'm still thinking about the wonderful experience several weeks later. This place nails the that perfect combination of super cozy atmosphere, attentive staff, and a menu that feels like a culinary adventure... but one that you can actually afford! I can't write a review about Eat Asian Tapas without gushing about the Wagyu Tartare I shared with my husband that night. It was definitely the star of the evening. It was silky, melt-in-your mouth perfection with just the right balance of heat and acid, and it felt like every bite was layered and deliberate. I loved it and can't recommend it highly enough! Everything else we tried that night was excellent. There is a wide variety of dishes at different price points, and the staff are excellent about suggesting drinks that pair nicely with each of the dishes. Yes, there's great tapas here, but there's an even more amazing drink list. I'd say the only downfall about this place is the parking. There appeared to be a parking lot around the corner with a $25 sign, but it was closed and empty. Ride share, walk, it doesn't matter... whatever you do, just check out Eat Asian Tapas. I hear the menu changes regularly, but if you ask loudly enough I'm sure they're keep any of our favorites on constant rotation.

Yelp
Picture we have fried ebi with mayo (which is their take on honey walnut shrimp), soondubu, and Korean fried chicken. This is their soft opening. Personally, the fried ebi had way too much mayo on it. It was drowning. I think it was fried well, though with not too much batter. I also thought the Korean fried chicken didn't taste like traditional, Korean fried chicken though it was still tasty. I got more of the sweet chili sauce flavor than anything. Soondubu was on the sweet side which they warned us about. I thoroughly enjoyed it. They even offered to top off the broth for you. The service is amazing. The waiters were incredibly attentive. They even offered a sample of their Soju. I recommend the lychee one. They were playing a good R&B mix and I love R&B so I had a great time

Yelp
Last night was our 2nd time at this restaurant within 1 week and we were not disappointed. We had such an amazing time there. The food was sooo good and well presented. The service was phenomenal. The chef tailored the dishes to our likings. The restaurant was warm and cozy. We loved the ambiance there.

Yelp
A remarkable thing to be walking by late night only to discover the soft opening of E.A.T. Asian Tapas. I tried a few menu items including assorted tempura, skewers (octopus and shrimp), beef tartare and a spicy tofu soup. Yes it was a bit of food for one but I was celebrating for this new neighborhood venue, and chefs were ready to play. The staff consist of friends who happen to be hospitality professionals. I look forward to doing some entertaining here. The room is intimate and warm, inviting, comfortable.

Yelp
Simply amazing! A cozy homey restaurant where Lil Pocha used to be -- never actually had Lil Pocha, but definitely didn't need to after enjoying my meal here at Eat Asian Tapas. Was pretty hungry so I ordered a good amount of food. - Yukhoe (11/10): Was my first time trying it and was divine -- perfect balance of sweet, savory, freshness, crunch from the Asian pear, nuttiness from the pine nuts and sesame oil, and a subtle garlicky kick. Good portion size too. Definitely coming back just for it! - Kuramomo Spicy Chicken Thigh skewer (6/10): Nice grilled flavor and tender, but a lil too salty and gochujang heavy for my liking. Small portion too. - Pork Belly Skewer (7/10): Nice grilled flavor as well, and classic pork belly goodness, but also small for the price. - Kimchi Cucumber (8.5/10): House-made and well seasoned, paired great with rice. - Spicy Pork Ssam Salad Roll (8/10): Like a Korean meat Viet spring roll. Refreshing and spicy pork had good flavor, had a surprising addition of bell pepper that I wasn't expecting haha, but solid portion size for the price. Other than that, service was incredible and friendly, and the ginseng soju shot was complementary! Highly recommend if you swing by Capitol Hill and hope it's here to stay!

Yelp
This place was cute and vibey, the soju was delicious, and the food was good! We got chicken gizzards (bomb), army stew, and a fried chicken skewer. They gave us free escargot salad for free (I was eying it anyway!) and that was great too. We tried the pineapple agave soju and it was so delishhh. To all the tequila lovers- try it, trust me. If you are craving Korean pocha food and want some soju, try this place for your next date night or girls night!

Yelp
I've been meaning to download yelp for this place! I don't write reviews a lot but holy smokes I think it was the best fried chicken I've ever had. Service at most any restaurant is nice but these folks are so kind and caring for their business. Please try this food because I want them to stay + very cute & clean interior We got the kimchi cucumber, Korean pancakes, fried rice (simple and elegant), spicy chicken wings and their house soju cocktails are delicious!

Yelp
I've been meaning to stop by since I noticed the new sign and remodel. What once was Imo Pocha (and then Lil Pocha) is now a higher-end kitchen and bar with a carefully crafted menu of small plates and large plates. Every dish I tried was thoughtfully made. The staff were very attentive and kind to have not charged us for a mistaken order, even after we refused because it was such a delicious surprise. The soft tofu spicy nabe had a great beef and fish soup base that really sung. Not pictured are the fried chicken skewers and vegetable skewers. The fried chicken skewer was a perfect balance of crunchy and saucy with all dark meat. I hope this iteration of a Korean bar at this location sticks around!

Yelp
My partner and I were looking for a place to eat late at night after a concert, and I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place! The staff are so passionate and friendly, they give the best recommendations and take such pride in their products. The small plates allow for such great attention to detail. Everything we tried was delicious! Highly recommend.
