We just had a great dinner here. Came down from our room with our two kiddos 11 and 9. They were so good to them and us. The food was excellent. Drinks were good and the service was top notch. Our waitress Kyrstin I believe and a gentleman Ronnie I think (tall guy bald) were awesome. Yes it was pricy, however the experience was great. We ate a chain the night before and spent the same amount and while we got more food than we needed the service was slow and ticked me off. The ambiance was also really nice. Felt like we were at a fine dining restaurant even though we were all dressed very casual. :). In a world where so many people like to complain and write negative reviews I thought it was time to spread some love. . Thanks for an awesome dinner! Cheers. Tim Howard

Beautiful, elegant lounge to stop in for a drink off Union Square. The epitome of what I want in a hotel bar. Classic decor; helpful, friendly staff; a broad selection of beers, wines, cocktails, etc. You can order small plates of food. Pricing is reasonable. There's room to breathe, not too loud. I caught some moody piano jazz here on a Friday night. My go-to when I'm in town and need a little R&R downtown.

My girlfriends and I meandered in here on a Saturday around 12:30-ish looking for drinks. The lounge/bar was empty but the server attending to some brunch patrons called someone up for us so we made ourselves comfortable at the bar where we ended up having a wonderful couple of hours having some drinks, talking and learning about how to make an avocado pit into simple syrup. I can't for the life of me remember his name, but the gentleman who was taking care of us behind the bar was absolutely wonderful. He made THE best Bloody Mary's (from scratch, including the mix) until we switched it up to another unique cocktail from his original bag of tricks. He was a magician with his cocktail mixing. The lounge itself is really lovely and the hotel is very regal and historic. You sit there wondering who was sitting in that room 60, 70 years prior. Needless to say we had a fantastic time indulging in drinks in their lounge and would totally come back.

Very good hotel bar. Has a good variety of drinks. The staff was extremely nice and very attentive to the guests. In particular, my waiter, Edwin went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome. He even gave me some sprite on ice to take upstairs to my wife who wasn’t feeling well. Highly recommend.

The name is actually The Post Room. We get to eat our early dinner in the afternoon, and it's so close to the best Dental Office in SF--DSF Dr. Joseph's dental office. So happy to walk in after it became Beacon hotel. So pretty, pls check it out.

Upmarket bar with relaxed vibe. Nice if you want a good drink with some light snacks. The fireplace is nice too if you can get a table nearby.
