Best Vietnamese Restaurants in London | Eater London
"99 times out of 100 something described as “juicy lamb from the grill” is going to be profoundly boring, yet at Eat Vietnam on Evelyn Street — the locus of the area’s latest flowering of great Vietnamese restaurants — it’s a proper Barnsley chop, marinated to the bone and rendered properly so the last bite of crispy, caramel fat is the sweetest, most satisfying bite of the evening. A fried sea bream comes on its belly in a beautiful chainmail of silver skin, still opalescent inside once the jerky exterior is peeled back. The head is picked at until the bill arrives. Not a word of criticism is aimed at a simple dish of morning glory from connoisseurs of the vegetable. What is Eat Vietnam doing differently to most of the places on Kingsland Road? The answer is simple: the owners still care." - Jennifer Trak

"Fire up the barbecue and let Eat Vietnam bar-b-grill do all the work. A barbecue specialist that’ll go down a storm in any household. From sườn heo nướng (whole rack of baby back ribs glazed in a sticky secret house sauce) to bún thịt nướng (barbecued pork marinated in lemongrass, wrapped in lettuce and herbs), without a doubt this is one of London’s best Vietnamese joints. There’s contactless takeaway and home delivery within 1.5 radius from the restaurant — with a £25 minimum order in place." - Angela Hui
Eat Vietnam 2 is great! To cope with the overspill of customers they opened a sister restaurant! This place is just as cozy as Eat Vietnam 1. Service is excellent, food is beautifully plated and generous! You really get value for money and the taste is authentic Vietnamese. I have eaten all around Vietnam and this place hit the nail on the head when it comes to taste, presentation & atmosphere. Eat Vietnam. You won't regret it!

The food here was good, specially the starters. The fried squid and the summer rolls were fantastic. The whole sea bream was good but was not as crispy as other times. The lamb cutlet’s flavour was great due to its seasoning, but the meat was a bit dry / overcooked for our taste and it was the only disappointing dish of them all.
We did not have to wait much to be seated despite not having a reservation so that was great. The service was good and the ambiance is relaxed and cozy.
Good prices and quality. This restaurant is worth checking out and I will definitely come back again.

I found out about this place about 5 months back, ever since then it had been my go-to restaurant whenever I get the chance to go for a meal.
Every time it is an absolute 10/10 experience, and the food is unbelievably good.
My goto every time I go is the Bun Bo Sa Ot with extra meat and salad and the marinated beef salad on the side.
Cannot get enough of this place!
Highly recommend.

Lovely staff, food is delicious! Good value for money and big portions - would recommend beef pho, spring rolls, mango salad, and any of their banh mi’s and iced coffee! Definitely a visit if you’re in the area

Food was amazing ! Staff was very friendly as well. We ordered pho bo tai and bun bo hue. The pho was very rich in flavour coming from the beef broth and the bun bo hue was tangy, lemony and spicy, highly recommend when you want to feel relaxed and warm inside. The drinks are amazing as well the che ba mau and Vietnamese coffee.

This place is great. They’ve got the right balance of having great food and friendly staff. I’ve only just discovered it, but I’ve been twice in the last week. The squid and crispy spring rolls are amazing. The chicken curry is hearty and filling. The food proportions are just right. I look forward to returning.
