Portland’s Exciting New Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants - Eater Portland

"Located a stone’s throw from Kenton Park, this farmers market standby is now serving vegan-and-gluten-free eats and sips out of a cheery cafe with electric blue booths and hanging plants. Owner Timothy Gowen, who previously ran raw vegan food delivery Forelle Foods, continues to offer the ready-to-eat collard green wraps and peanut butter chocolate bars that Eatin’ Alive is best known for, in addition to salads, juices, and smoothies. Those looking for a larger meal can grab a vegetable-loaded grain bowl and add on soy curls. Order on the website for pickup and delivery." - Waz Wu

Loved the Seoul bowl! So fresh and tasty...always excited for the opportunity to order something with Kimchi! I also had the breakfast cookie and that was bomb! So soft, so filling (oats, nuts, pumpkin seeds and other goodies)! Thank you!

Went on opening day. What a lovely addition to the Kenton neighborhood! I tried the Madrone bowl, Seoul bowl, chai, and breakfast cookie. All were super delicious; I will certainly order each again. Looking forward to trying some juices and smoothies next time I visit. The ambiance is also great. The inside is full of natural light and lots of plants. I can't wait until the day I can sit down inside and enjoy a bowl. For now, the outdoor patio is a great accommodation. Highly recommend!

Seriously good food. The grain bowls and oat bowls are a perfect lunch that keep me feeling great. Huge portions and creative, well designed flavors that make eating raw easy, even for us non-Vegans. Great addition to the Kenton neighborhood!

Eatin’ Alive has become my favorite place to grab a smoothie. I always order the West End smoothie with a little extra spinach for good measure. The staff are all so friendly + helpful. Orders are fulfilled promptly. And the ingredients are always so fresh and tasty. I highly recommend stopping in for anything they sell. I always feel so good afterwards!

Walked in and ordered take out for lunch. My husband and I each got one of the grain bowls. They were both excellent. Great portion and flavor in both of them. They have online ordering for pick and delivery as well, but it's worth it to pick it up if you can and are in the neighborhood. I look forward to trying the other items on the menu.

I love this place! I have eaten a plant based diet for 4 years. It has been very difficult to eat in restaurants while following this diet. Eatin Alive prepares healthy and nutritious food that is low in fat and does not use highly processed ingredients, meat, cheese or dairy. It has been so nice to eat out again. It’s a huge treat to get one of their bowls.

Wow. This place is incredible! It’s nourishing, filling, and most importantly delish! The Chico smoothie has the best texture, I’ve been thinking about it all week. We ate the Seoul bowl, that jackfruit is *chefs kiss*, and the Madrone bowl. It’s evident that everything is thoughtfully made. Truly had a better day because I ate here.
