"In 2019, the long-standing household name Fung Shing closed its doors as the owner-chef retired. A regular customer and the staff then got together to re-open it as Eton in 2020. The room was renovated and about 80% of the kitchen and service teams returned. The menu is largely the same; dim sum, crispy fried chicken, deep-fried shrimp toast, scrambled egg white with milk in Daliang style, and Shun Tak fish tripe thick soup are still recommended." - Michelin Inspector

Eaton Hotel | Best places to stay in Hong Kong

"If you want a hotel with an authentic location, a hip design and a social conscience, look no further than the Eaton Hong Kong. It’s parked on the corner of one of Kowloon’s busiest thoroughfares, Nathan Road, opposite the dragon-wrapped entrance gate to Temple Street Night Market. Inside, rooms have copies of the International Declaration of Human Rights in the bedside drawer. There’s a co-working space – Eaton Workshop – that also holds film screenings, art talks and music events. And office space has been donated to an NGO assisting refugees. Locals love the array of cut-price Asian snacks available at the hotel’s food court, and the cocktails at Terrible Baby, which has a dog-friendly outdoor terrace and happy hour from 2pm-8pm, Sunday to Thursday – meaning there’s always a buzz about the place. We stayed at Eaton HK for 8 nights as a couple with our 1‑year‑old. The hotel placed us on the 7th floor, directly above and facing the bar and restaurant area. Unfortunately, parties were held almost every evening, including weddings and a Halloween event, with loud music continuing until late at night. We raised our concerns several times, but no effective action was taken to make our stay more comfortable. As the weekend approached and it was clear the noise would only increase, we decided to check out one night earlier. The hotel agreed to refund the unused night, and we are waiting to see the refund processed. The room itself fell short of expectations. It felt more worn and dated than expected, and the bathroom was quite old‑fashioned and not entirely suitable for a young couple with a child. While the housekeeping team was consistently attentive and did their best to accommodate our requests, we still had to repeatedly ask for an extra set of towels for our toddler. For the same price, we have stayed in other, more renowned hotel brands in Hong Kong, but decided to give Eaton HK a try because we appreciated the values and positioning the brand represents. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a mistake we will not make again. Overall, despite the kind housekeeping staff, the combination of constant noise, aging facilities, and lack of response to guest concerns made this stay disappointing compared to what we had hoped for.

I had a lovely stay there. The room size was not very large, but I think it a standard room size in Hong Kong. The breakfast was delicious and so many options. The room was clean. The children absolutely loved the bunk beds. The location is quite good, just a short walk from the Jordan MTR station. The reception was very helpful and the service was excellent. The hotel is on a corner street, and there is a 7-Eleven directly across the road. The hotel also has a food hall on the lower floor that opens at 11 AM. The food is delicious and very convenient. It's great to be able to go straight down to grab a meal after a tiring day of sightseeing without having to walk far. The hotel also features a bar, a gym, and a small swimming pool on the rooftop. If it rains or there is a thunderstorm, the hotel staff will close the pool to prevent lightning strikes. Thank you for a delicious birthday cake.

Rooms are cosy, simple, well maintained and clean. They accommodated our request to be on a higher floor towards the end of the corridor. The only negative I would say is that if people are talking in the corridor you can hear them in your room. Hotel is conveniently located in the central area of Kowloon a short walk from Jordan station. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Stayed at the Eaton twice within the space of two weeks. Great Hotel in HK. Good location on Nathan Road with access to transport and good places to eat nearby. Hotel rooms are great with good air con, clean, comfy beds and facilities. Booked a cabin room which is really modern. For the second leg of the trip, we arrived really early at the hotel to drop of luggage, and the staff allocated a room right away which was brilliant. Very happy overall and would definitely stay here again when next in HK.

Stayed during the past 8 days and found it very convenient and you would find the hotel staff very helping and professional, very courteous and they are all willing to help and assist to ensure that my stay was pleasant. I used the gym and you would find it cleaned and stocked with water and towels. Great place to get your workout in during your vacation. Each time I go to HK I would always stay at Eaton and I never find any issues with it. You would not regret and I highly recommend that you give it a try. Great location and it is next to Jordan Subway Stations; plus if you come from HK Airport, take A21 bus and get off at Saigon Street, walk back less than a block and Eaton is on your right. So convenient. I love it and will stay there again next time I visit HK.

We understand that life in Hong Kong moves at a fast and intense pace, and we experienced a bit of that during our stay, which we can completely understand as new guests. ||||Majority of our experience was met with warm and helpful service, which left a very good impression on us. We truly appreciated the comfort and convenience during our stay, and we genuinely enjoyed the atmosphere here. We would definitely love to come back again in the future

Rooms are tidy, a bit tiny but its everywhere in HK. Wide choice for breakfasts, foodhall, gym and pool available. Close to metro and perfect for moving around the whole HK centre. I recommend to stay in this hotel. Special thanks to mr. Haider for putting his effort to help us :)

Perfect location in the heart of Kowloon. 5 min walk to Jordan station. Restaurants, shopping, banks, ATMs around. The Astor restaurant at the basement of the hotel was fantastic. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel room amenities were provided, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, face towel, toothbrush, disposable room slippers, 2 big bottled water daily.
