"Quinoa bowl-serving Eatsa, closed for purported updates since early spring, doesn’t appear likely to reopen after all. The business, which heralded itself as 'the future of restaurants,' allegedly owes more than $24,00 in unpaid rent — funds its landlord demands in a letter posted outside the restaurant at 121 Spear Street." - Caleb Pershan

"Though it's not really run by robots, this lunch spot is changing hearts and minds about quinoa with its efficient and tasty methods. Diners enter their order on an iPad, then pick up their food from a cubby that flashes their name when its ready. It's so smooth, it's criminal." - Stefanie Tuder, Ellen Fort, Caleb Pershan

Edit: August 2018-A few lunch bowls now include meat options. First time and so easy, convenient, healthy and delicious! Several kiosks to order and the menu was interactive and simple. Great price point for the all-vegetarian meals which are also customizable, but it'll be ready quicker if you don't. Occasionally, ingredients might run out to which they'll notify before you order and you can choose to continue or order something else. They digitally put your name on not only the bay window but also the container as to avoid any potential mix-ups with someone else. Each vegetarian meal looks carefully crafted for fresh and quality ingredients and visually appealing. My Summer Beets Bowl was filling and tasty and most bowls are $7. I'll be back for sure!

Healthy, delicious eats at an affordable price! It took about two minutes for my order to be ready (although it was not busy). Lots of flavor and nutritious options. The orange miso dressing was great, tasted like fresh orange!

A friend brought me here during a visit to San Francisco. For someone who does not eat healthy often, I loved what I had. The concept is so awesome and innovative, wish they would have one in Calgary.

Interesting concept. You come you order with a terminal you get food in a relevant compartment. If you want to avoid communicating with people - it is place to go. Selection of foods rather limited, but salads are fine. Bads: terminals are cheap and work badly with cards, trash containers get filled quickly, cleaning might be a problem.

Exactly what I was looking for having a lunch. Cheap, fast, healthy, tasty. They didn't accept both of my cards, probably because they are not from the US banks, but one of their staff, who was very friendly, gave me my order for free. Now that is a service! The only problem is, the next time I will have to find someone who will pay with their card for my meal.

All lunch places should be like eatsa ! Quick points: 1. Quick service and low wait times 2. Concise menu and easy customization 3. Good quality, healthy food 4. Order pick up availability 5. Fancy facility look and feel What's not to love ? Well if they had more space to consume the food on premises that would have been great but not a deal breaker. This is a great place to get food for couple of people. Not recommended for large groups or team lunches.

Had a tasty lunch bowl here. Reminiscent of the type of service at a typical ramen spot in Tokyo, except clearly made in the time of iPads and LED TVs. Think Apple Store plus your favorite bonzai bowl spot, and you’ll have a good idea. Food was good, but it was a little weird not having any human connection between prepared food and the preparers.

A very well maintained hygienic place. The food is standard salads and has variety as well where one can mix and match what goes inside. Ordering is a breeze and can also be done by the mobile app. Packing is top notch. My regular salad spot . There is no parking nearby and the benches outside and inside of Rincon center serve well
