"ECK stands for “egg custard king”, and this bakery’s signature egg custard tart is worth the journey to Nha Trang Plaza in Asiatown. Built with a satisfying combo of creaminess and crust, the dessert mini is hard to resist and its bright yellow filling offers a pop of happy color to any dessert spread." - Brittany Britto Garley

They accept cards now! Crust was a little too rich and buttery, egg custard was perfection. Both curry and BBQ pork puffs were fantastic. Everything came out piping hot!

Google
Still THE best place for flaky egg tart shells! I have been enjoying the egg tarts from ECK for years now. I love the silky custard, the crumbly shell, and the sweetness of the egg tart as a whole. Warm up the egg tarts in a toaster, and voila! Yummy yummy yummy!! The bakery has other delicious pastries too! The fried sesame red bean ball was so tasty. Filling to skin ratio was perfect. The Japanese cheesecake was light and fluffy. It was so good. Try all their pastries! Try them all!

Google
The quality of the egg tarts declined. The crust is flaky but too thick. I can taste the crust more than the egg part. Also the size got smaller throughout the years

Google
Mango mochi is simply divine... so fresh, soft and full of real mango flavor! Seriously best mochi I have ever had and I've had a lot because I love mochi! I wish this bakery were closer to me on the East Coast. Egg custard is delicious as well with a great flaky crust.

Google
I know they are known for the wondrous egg tarts and I agree they were amazing but their Zongzi were just another level. They are glutinous rice stuffed with meat like pork and sausage and wrapped in bamboo leaves! I was so impressed with the consistency and flavor, I’ll highly recommend it around dragon boat festival. They are cash only so make sure you check that before you go in. Tip - they accepted Venmo which was great!

Google

Google
Delicious Egg tarts!! And also the coconut tart worth trying. Definitely get a dessert here if you’re in the area! Cash only though

Google
By far the best egg tarts in Houston. Just the right amount of sweetness with a buttery, flaky crust. They’re an OG Chinese bakery with delicious sweet and savory buns, and their mango mochi is something I always grab when it’s available.

Yelp
We had the sweetest visit to this bakery in Asiatown. This business captures the heart of being family owned. It was fun to watch the staff interact and we especially enjoyed the window view into the bakery so that our toddler could watch a cake being made. The guy behind the window went out of his way to come out of the kitchen and share a piece of the sponge cake he was working on with our toddler. We ordered a variety of treats during our visit- Sesame balls filled with red bean paste, egg, tarts, fresh mango mochi cakes, and a curry puff pastry. The difference between fresh mochi and store bought mochi is night and day. The mango mochi oozed between our fingers (yes!) and was so delicious! Glad we stocked up on everything to take to a family gathering tonight! Highly recommend giving this place a visit.

Yelp
Landed in Houston famished and was picked up from the airport by a dear friend who lives locally. He was prepared to take us on a food tour through the city, and we stopped here for a pre-food tour snack, because we had a full day of eating to fuel up for. Growing up on the pastries from Cantonese bakeries in NY gave me a palate for the finer things in life (read: egg tarts) but I have to say these are on another level. In Houston it seems all the eateries are in strip malls, and this is no different. It's truly the definition of no frills, with no seating and nearly empty display cases-- I was almost worried they ran out of everything. Luckily, we snagged some of the last few egg tarts. The crust was everything-- perfectly crispy, flakey, and fresh, and the custard was like a less sweet flan. I love these little pies and would eat one everyday if I could!

Yelp
The best egg tart and mango mochi I've ever had. The first day I was in Houston, I got half a dozen egg tarts and it was gone within the hour. Sadly, they were sold out of mango mochis. We came back the next day and they were sold out of the mango mochis but were able to make me some within a few minutes. We also got more egg tarts for the drive home. If I didn't live 4 hours away, I would be here all the time. Even after a long drive home and eating the egg tarts and mochis the next day, they were still amazing. I'm surprised they don't have a line out the door. There is a small fee for credit card so bring cash if you don't want to pay the fee. Very nice customer service. Can't wait to come back and try some of their other items.

Megan N.

Yelp
Love this cute little bakery! Their egg tarts taste amazing and last awhile! We've also tried their bbq pork pastry and chicken pastry, both were delicious! They're also known for their mango mochi and those were also great! Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in town! Recommend bringing cash, because there is a fee for card usage!

Yelp
Hands down the best Chinese egg tarts (Dan tat) in Houston and maybe one of the best in the states. So flaky and delicious when hot. They also have really delicious mango mochi. One of my favorite bakeries in Chinatown due to those two items. They take Venmo now as well. They have a table that you can sit at but this is more of a place for takeout. Plenty of parking in the plaza.

Yelp
First of all, it pains me to write a bad review. I've been going to this bakery enough that I consider myself a good customer. However, what happened couple weeks ago was very disappointing. My family had a 100th birthday party at Ocean Palace for our mother. The nightmare began when I went to pick up the birthday cake (for 70 people, with specific Chinese writing on the cake), I was told by the son that they forgot to make the cake! Are you serious??? I called 3 days ago to talk to the father (the owner) and told them specifically what I wanted written on the cake in Chinese and English. He told me "Sure, sure, don't worry, I'll make it good, and I'm giving you a discount, $138...". Sounds good right? There's no reason I had to call and confirm that morning of the party, right? Boy was I WRONG ! It was after 5 pm in the afternoon, they close at 6 pm, and where do you think I could get another birthday cake for 70 people? You just don't forget or get confused making a 100th birthday cake for your customer! (Even now I still didn't tell my mom that this happened!) All the son and her mom said was "Sorry" and could not offer me any solutions. (If this was my business, I would have offered something, anything, to try to help...) So the son called his father (owner), and of course all he said was "sorry". I was furious and not to mention, worried what to do at 5:30 pm, and guests were starting to arrive at the restaurant. We went back and forth for about 15, 20 minutes, the owner finally said to let me have this other cake (for 40 people). He said they can cut it smaller and it will be enough. At this time, I had to settle with this other cake. The son boxed it up for me, and I was waiting to see if he was going to make me paid for their mistake. He said nothing. Then I said "you're not going to charge me, right?" He said he personally would not, but it was not up to him, and called his father again. The father got on the phone and told me that he already apologized, and how could I pick up the cake and not paid, and that's wrong! So why did I ot want to pay? here are the reasons: 1. Why did they not offer me the other cake the first place? I would have been glad to pay at the beginning, because wrong cake is better than no cake at that point 2. It was a big mistake on their part, they offered no help for 20 minutes until they realized I was not leaving, then said that I could have this cake for 40 people. They knew about this cake back there(probably for another customer). Why would I want to pay for the cake that was not meant for my party. It was a cake, but not "MY" cake that I ordered! 3. When the owner found out I didn't want to pay for the cake, he turned the table on me and said that I was wrong, and how could I not pay for the cake. And now I'm the bad guy? 4. Because of their mistake, I was so late to my own party, guests were there already, and my mom was upset that I wasn't there yet (I did not tell my mom what happened.) 5. I felt like all they care it's the money. This business does not respect their customer even when the customer is right. At the end I did pay. I didn't agree with it. I threw down a $100 bill, and the son gave me $20 back. I told myself that I would never set foot in this place again. It is sad that these people know that I'm not a new customer. I used to take my mom, and daughter to this place often through the years. The fact that they can treat return customers like this tells me one thing about businesses in Chinatown. This bakery along with some other businesses will always take their customers for granted. They know they offer good food that most Chinese will always go back to them regardless of their bad services. So they will not miss my business and continue to behave the same way as long as they're in business. I wished I could give a "zero" star, but it was not a choice. I can do without their egg tarts or birthday cake. I want to go to a place where employees and owners respect their customers!

Yelp
BEST EGG CUSTARD TARTS IN HOUSTON. (Honestly might be the best ever because I haven't had better elsewhere.) I've been holding off on reviewing this place for a long time. But I wanted to visit enough times to see if I still love it - and I do. Eck Bakery is a Houston staple. The egg tarts are always fresh. The base is flakey and buttery. The egg custard itself is absolutely divine. It never disappoints! I got to try the mango mochi for the first time today and OMG. They are amazing. The mochi is elastic and soft. There's actual mango inside. It makes the perfect treat! The downside is that it's more expensive now. I believe it's $1.75 per egg tart. It's definitely worth trying though!

Briana N.

Yelp
DON'T FORGET TO BRING CASH (although I think they accept venmo too) I came here on a Saturday at noon with my friends and we were very happy to see that there were plenty of egg tarts still to be sold. (My friend literally bought 30 and they still had trays in the back ready to go.) The egg tarts were so yummy. It was perfectly crispy and the inside was so silky and eggy, no complaints here! I think the mango mochi is also a must get. It looked like they had run out, but it's just because they keep them in the fridge on the side, so make sure to ask if you want one! I wasn't expecting that mochi itself to have such a strong mango flavor. And the mango inside was so sweet and ripe. I was expecting the chicken pastry to have just chicken paste inside, but it actually had chunks of real chicken. But my favorite was the curry pastry!

Tiffany N.

Yelp
Came in on a Saturday at 9:30 am and I basically got the last egg tarts! This place is very unassuming at first, but once you go inside, the sweetest woman is there to help you. The prices of the baked goods are reasonably priced and it smells delicious in here. I ended up getting only a few egg tarts to bring back to Virginia but decided to try one fresh. The tart was flaky and smelled delicious, and the egg custard was creamy but still had a firm hold. I think this is one of the best egg custard tarts I've ever had!!!!

Michelle H.

Yelp
Small bakery but dang it's so good. Egg tarts are amazing and mango mochi are delicious. Definitely would come back here.

Hoa L.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday at 9am and they had egg tarts, wife cakes, pineapple buns and other items - mostly in the back. They speak English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. The prices are reasonable. The parking lot is shared with some other restaurants so it can get pretty packed. There's a couple long tables but we didn't stay to eat. We ordered the pineapple bun, wife cake, and egg tarts. The egg tarts are flaky and I the filling is sweet egg custard. The consistency is good and they were standard and what you would find at the restaurant or in Asia. The first one I had was not as sweet or flavorful and the flaky crust had some crunch as if it was slightly overcooked. The second one I ate was perfect. Therefore, consider trying two if you didn't like your first one. I would say, perhaps I had one that was slightly overcooked or the flavoring mix was not quite right.

J C.

Yelp
Can't really beat the price for the quality! This is a cute, low-key family owned business. My friend always brings back egg tarts and mango mochi when he goes, and I love them both. So fresh, and only $2 each- best part, not too sweet. I also bought a chicken pastry to try and wish I had bought more!

Sharon Y.

Yelp
Come here for fresh egg tarts, mango mochi, and curry puffs. It's not the nicest ambiance but this has been a staple in Chinatown for many years and the bakery items are always fresh. Service is friendly enough, but to be expected for this old school bakery

Mariah M.

Yelp
This place has the BEST EGG CUSTARD! They only take cash but fortunately I was able to pay via Zelle.

Jando S.

Yelp
While it's sad there aren't more Cantonese bakeries in Houston, there is no doubt in my mind that ECK is the best of them all. Short for "egg custard king" (蛋撻王), they live up to their name and would be considered a must-visit for any pastry lover. They are one of my favorite businesses in the city and worthy of my milestone review. (#1) They are a family-owned bakery and are strictly cash only. They sell what they can each day, which means things are sold out often. Their egg tarts are delectable, incredibly flakey, and hold extremely well even in room temperature. I tend to buy them by the dozen, even if the price has risen to $1.75 each. Scoring any of these egg tarts straight out of the oven is ideal, even if there is a wait. Of course like all good bakeries, egg tarts aren't their only bread and butter (#2), their $2.50 chicken puff pastries or chicken pie (雞批) is probably the best I've had compared to any bakery in the city. Their other puff pastries such as the bbq pork (叉燒酥) is outstanding. Another showstopper is their mango mochis, which are served cold and extremely unique. They have a sprinkle of coconut on top but are the perfect summer dessert with this wonderful mango finish and tasty mochi texture. Their custom cakes are not sweet, but worthy of calling in to order. Durian fans will enjoy their durian filled cakes and/or other combinations. They don't look like much but it's hard to find anything like what they do anywhere else. They deserve all the accolades and are truly one of the major gems of the Houston Chinatown scene. ___________ (#1) Here's looking at you, #4,500. (#2) It's just the beginning.

Cherry Y.

Yelp
Run to your ATM right now! ECK is cash only, but it's definitely worth taking a detour to your nearest seven eleven or bank for their fresh, delicious baked goods. Per many recommendations on Yelp, we got the mango mochi and egg tarts. When I first ordered the mango mochi, I was expecting a white mochi with either (a) pieces of mangoes and white cream, or (b) mango cream. However, we got a super soft, mango-colored (and flavored!) mochi covered in coconut flakes and fresh mango pieces inside. It was absolutely delicious, and even my husband, who isn't the biggest fan of mango, loved it. As for the egg tarts, the custard was very egg-y and custurd-y. In fact, the custard center was so soft that I felt no bite at all, and the extra smooth texture of the custard contrasted well with the flaky texture of the pastry. I do see how it can be a lot people's favorite egg tart, but it wasn't my "best" egg tart. Regardless, it was absolutely delicious and we definitely do see ourselves visiting again!!

Hayley F.

Yelp

Warm up the egg tarts in a toaster, and voila! Yummy yummy yummy!! The bakery has other delicious pastries too! The fried sesame red bean ball was so tasty. Filling to skin ratio was perfect. Yelp
I finally got the chance to try the pastries at this bakery. Previously, I never stopped by early enough during the day, so their pate choux would already be sold out by the time I got there. I bought 2 of each: charsiu pate choux, chicken pate choux, and an egg tart. The puff pastries were light and fluffy, and they're not buttery/greasy at all. The pate choux had a good filling to dough ratio. The charsiu pate choux had the perfect filling in both flavors and textures. Don't expect it to be typical red/sweet charsiu, these are more like regular pate choux filling but melt in your mouth. The chicken pate choux was not bad, but the chicken filling was more on the salty side compared to the pork one. The egg tart was also pretty nice, creamy, and not very sweet. If you're planning to stop by, make sure to bring cash. This is a cash-only establishment.

Alex C.

Yelp
As good as the best egg tarts in the world over! Hong Kong, Macao, San Francisco, Toronto.

Sylvia C.

Yelp
Excellent egg tarts. The baked BBQ cha xíu bun is delicious. Those were the two baked goods that I tried. Definitely coming back to try other items.

Cat N.

Yelp
Come early because they goodies sell out! And I highly suggest you calling ahead if later in the day to see if they even have egg tarts still available. I came before brunch to grab some goodies for the house. At around 11:30am there was a line and it was a 10 minute wait for egg tarts. They had ran out of their coconut tarts and mochi balls. I ended up only getting half a dozen egg tarts, a chiffon cake, and a savory rice thing that had meat and nuts in it. Everything was delicious and only costed $17.50 (cash only BTW). Their egg tarts are perfectly made and are a must try if you like egg tarts. I really want to go back and try all their other items. They had huge ass sesame balls, pate chads, and other sweet treats. The guy at the counter was pretty nice and upfront about what they had and didn't have. He also told us how to reheat items. The inside of this place is super casual and definitely a grab and go type of place. It's in a strip mall and share parking with the plaza.

Gellie E.

Yelp
We sought out ECK Bakery for its egg tarts. We came a little before noon and their savory pastries also caught my eye (it WAS lunch time). I ordered their curry puff and bbq pork puff (each were $2.50) in addition to their egg tarts ($1.75 each). This bakery does its pastries extremely well. It has nailed the flaky, buttery crust. Between the two puffs that I ordered, the curry puff was the standout in terms of flavor and filling consistency. I thought the filling would be more along the lines of a samosa, but to my pleasant surprise, it had a delicious, saucy curry inside. For the bbq pork puff, I was expecting something similar to a char siu bao filling, but it was mostly just a few meat chunks in the center and wasn't nearly as flavorful as the curry puff. My friends also ordered the chicken puff which had a desirable pot pie-like filling. I would recommend the chicken puff over the bbq pork puff. The curry puff was a win! For the main event- the egg tart - I did find the $1.75 price tag to be on the high side for the size (easily eaten in two bites) - but I guess that's standard these days. The verdict: Delicious flaky crust (yet again) with a lightly sweet custard filling. I did find the level of filling to be on the skimpy side (I like a thicker layer of custard). But overall, sign me up for a dozen of these little treats! I would put this in my Top 3 egg tart spots (with New York and San Francisco ranking above Houston). As other Yelpers have mentioned, cash only.

Matthew C.

Yelp
They have the best flaky egg tarts in Houston! Fast service too. Will be coming back soon

Stephanie P.

Yelp
Came here to try their egg tarts upon a friend's recommendation, and it was so good! It is $1.50 each and worth every penny. It is flaky, eggy, and delicious. Their other baked goods like curry puff and chicken puff looked good. Def gonna come back and try their other items! BTW, they are CASH ONLY but they do Venmo as another payment option.

Amy T.

Yelp
This bakery looks tiny but flavors are mighty. I saw all the amazing reviews for egg tarts and I had to try it! I am a sucker for egg tarts. Luckily my craving for egg tarts didn't subside when I found out the dim sum place we ate at previously was out or else I would not have found this hidden gem! They were so freshly baked with a flakey crust and eggy, smooth, lightly sweetened egg custard in the center. One of the BEST I've ever had. Cash only. Parking is plentiful. When I go back I'm definitely getting a dozen egg tarts. Come experience this deliciousness you won't be disappointed!

Allen Z.

Yelp
First time here and there was no line. I tried the egg tart and the mango mochi. The egg tart was delicious, the skin was fluffy, and the egg was well made. The mango mochi was out of this world. Super soft with real mango inside! The mochi is refrigerated making it a good choice for summer dessert.

Sean Y.

Yelp
Was told the best egg tarts live here... And they do! Piping hot from the oven these things are hard to beat! Ultra creamy custard with a super flakey crust make for perfect tarts! Perfect. Tarts. Better than any I've had in any other state! A must try!

Julie L.

Yelp
No doubt this place has the best egg tarts in town. So fluffy and flavorful. Come early and bring cash.

Melanie T.

Yelp
The egg tarts are one of the best I have tried along with the cocktail bun bread (or chicken tail depending on how you perceive Cantonese like me) and the pate puff pastry. Everything was flaky and had enough flavor to excite your tastebuds. There are lots of other Cantonese bakery items that I wish we could have tried. But if you're in Houston, this is a must stop and you can always order extra to bring back home to heat up in an air fryer. It still tasted really good after heating in the air fryer. Don't judge based on the plaza. The plaza may seem sketchy and the bakery is in the side corner but make a stop. Very delicious. It is cash only like most places on bellaire but worth it

Kousee L.

Yelp
lets just say this place is so damn good that we went here twice. My friend is literally obsessed with this place so that means, we got a dozen right when we got here and another dozen on the way home. haaha. So tasty and the crust is flaky with the egg custard being perfectly soft and not too sweet. Another favorite is the mango mochi. looks typical from the outside but man... inside is filled with this jelly as well at fresh mango. So go ahead! get a dozen (or two) before they sell out.

Chris H.

Yelp
Best egg tarts I've ever had! Best coconut tart I've ever had! Really good tiger rolls as well! This is the place for egg tarts omgggg so freaking good

Victoria W.

Yelp
cash only ~ super flakey egg tart! Would come back at an earlier time to buy more variety of pastries!

Hoang N.

Yelp
I've had a great share of egg custards tart...and hands down ECK tops my list. The consistency of the flavor, texture, and taste is always on point. It's something about their flaky crust that balances so well with their creamy filling. Must hit spot every visit to Houston

Vivian M.

Yelp
Best HK style egg tarts that i've ever had in the States! I was in Houston earlier this year for a foodie trip and had to come here every single morning for their egg tarts (couldn't help myself lol). The egg tarts here were always fresh, warm, flaky (with a puffy pastry style crust) and had an awesome silky smooth not-too sweet custard. Really miss the egg tarts here!

Courtney W.

Yelp
Best 蛋挞 / egg tarts in Houston! I have dropped by numerous times to pick up some egg tarts and they never disappoint. They're always fresh with a flaky crust and deliciously sweet filling. Egg tarts are my favorite childhood dessert and I don't even bother going anywhere besides here to satisfy my cravings. Cash only!

Jen H.

Yelp
Oh my goodness, if you haven't tried the egg tarts from Eck Bakery, you're missing out! This cash-only bakery doesn't look like much when you enter, but don't be fooled by its deceivingly simple appearance. While the egg tart is the main star there, Eck Bakery also sells other baked goods, including pineapple buns. I ended up getting a dozen egg tarts and 4 pineapple buns, which totaled $24 even. Again, this bakery is cash-only, but there is a nearby Chase bank in case you forget to bring cash. The egg tarts have a perfectly delicate & creamy custard center, with a flakey puff pastry crust. They are pretty hefty in size/weight. Make sure you try one when you get into your car after buying some because they're the best when still slightly warm. They are a solid 5 out of 5 stars. The pineapple buns, on the other hand, weren't the best I've ever had. The bun had a slightly doughy taste, as if it was underbaked just a bit. However, I enjoyed the "pineapple" topping. (In case you're unfamiliar with pineapple buns, they don't actually have any pineapple in or on them. Instead the Chinese streusel on top makes the bun look like a pineapple, hence the name.) I'd rate the pineapple buns a 4 out of 5 stars. I probably wouldn't get the pineapple buns again, but I'm definitely buying another dozen egg tarts next time I'm here.

Yelp
Stopped by ECK Bakery around 9:30 AM on a Saturday, which is when they open. We were the only ones there but shortly joined by a few other patrons, so not too busy. There was only one worker though so be patient. We ordered a bunch of egg tarts which were $1.75 each. The shell was perfectly flaky and the contents were soft, really yummy and hard to beat. The mango mochi was a surprising treat ($1.75 each), not chewy was traditional mochi but soft gelatin-like texture with mango chunks inside. This was absolutely delicious and quite a unique offering. They're located in the refrigerator by the way. They actually cleared out their inventory of these while we were there. They said they'd have more maybe in the afternoon so FYI limited inventory. There are tables inside you can sit to enjoy the baked goods. CASH ONLY!

Eunice K.

Yelp
One of the best egg tarts I've ever tried. You have to stop by when you're in Houston. Their egg tarts will melt in your mouth with every bite. The crust is flakey and the custard in the middle is a perfect creamy texture and not overly sweet. I plan to come back next time I'm in Houston and try other items on their menu! (coconut tart, pineapple bun, mango mochi, BBQ pork puff) *Note that this spot is CASH ONLY! For more food recs, follow me on my instagram: @asiangirlbigbites

K B.

Yelp
5 stars!!! Egg tart on point yall. We also bought the curry puffs and the bbq buns. We didn't realize it was cash only so we were able to pay via venmo or zelle. Thank goodness for that! :) We will definitely be back! This was worth the 45 min drive from The Woodlands. Yum !!!

China D.

Yelp
I've been dying to try this place for awhile because of its amazing reputation. We came mid morning on the weekend and i thought they were closed... the inside wasnt really set up for in store dining and the bakery counter was a mess. So anyway i got a few egg tarts to try. The verdict is that while the crust was insanely good (flakey, buttery, etc) the filling was just okay. Maybe it's better when they are super fresh but overall i will not go out of my way to come back.

Chris C.

Yelp
The egg tart is very fresh and delicious. Will go back try other stuff. The service friendly. The store lay out is a bit strange.

Mable C.

Yelp
I made the trip here on my last day in Houston because I didn't want to miss out on there infamous egg tarts. Coming from NY, my expectations weren't too high since our egg tarts are pretty darn good too. Since this bakery closes at 6, I was very surprised to have gotten the last batch of egg tarts after pulling up at 5:30, shortly before closing time. They were stored in a heated rack so they stayed nice and warm. The crust was flaky but not too buttery as I thought. However, the custard was what sold it for me. It was so creamy and sweet. It had a very rich and milky texture. Definitely not the best I've had but very enjoyable!

Tri D.

Yelp
If you're looking for one of the best egg tarts, look no further. This place is by far the best I've ever had & I recommend everyone to give it a try, you'll be hooked. I came an hour before closing so I wasn't anticipating on it being the freshest, I was wrong. I ordered 2 eggs tarts, 1 mango mochi & 1 BBQ pork puff. Let's start with the tarts, the crust was delicate, flaky & buttery. The custard was creamy, silky & had the perfect amount of sweetness. I also wanted to add that my tarts were still warm. My BBQ pork puffs were spectacular, flaky on the outside & moist on the inside; I could've ate at least 5 more, it was that addicting. I am not a fan of Mochi however mangos are my favorite fruit. I think it's the texture that gets me but I'm always opened to giving it another try. The mochi was soft, chewy & not overly sweet; I enjoyed the fresh chunks of mango on the inside, just wish they gave me a little bit more. Overall, this place is a must try, service was nice but most importantly the pastries were spot on; I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Egg tarts are the way to my heart especially at this bakery. The crust it just incredibly flaky yet firm. The filling so rich and light on the sweetness and these babies came out pipin hot. Fresh egg tarts don't just fall out of the sky (oh man I wish) SO come to houston and try these out. These are (in my opinion) the best egg tarts not just in Houston but Texas in general (most of my friends can attest to this). Give these a try and let me know!

Yelp
Light, airy and crispy. The custardy middle has the perfect sweetness. You won't get any where close to a egg tart like in Macau in Houston.

Yelp
Omg, my favorite bakery in Houston! I know they don't have many options, but I think they sell some of my favorite egg tarts I've had anywhere. Their mango mochi is also so delicious too. Bring cash, and know that it's a no frills bakery. It's so, so, so delicious!

Yelp
One of my friends N. brought these to work to share! The filling was gooey and delicious, not too sweet (as I like) and the crust was flaking, buttery perfection. Delicious!
